“playing the Poor Gal Card”

Friday, November 2nd, 2007

Fresh from her illegal alien driver’s license bungle and the Democrat debate pile-on, Hillary sought refuge at her alma mater, Wellesley College yesterday. If the Associated Press account is to be believed (grain of salt always required when reading MSM political coverage), Hillary got her warm embrace:

Clinton spoke at Wellesley two days after a rocky debate performance in which she fought off criticism from six male presidential rivals. Thursday’s event had a decidedly “You go, girl” flavor, with reminders of the pioneering nature of her candidacy…At Wellesley, hundreds of students jammed a campus auditorium to see Clinton, many wearing T-shirts that said, “I can be president, too.” They danced in the aisles to songs like “Every Little Thing She Does is Magic” and a few shouted “We love you, Hillary!”

She’s playing the Poor Gal Card to the hilt, and her operatives are in full femme revenge mode:

Her comments at Wellesley and a new fundraising appeal from campaign manager Patti Solis Doyle suggested there was an element of sexism at play.

“On that stage in Philadelphia, we saw six against one. Candidates who had pledged the politics of hope practiced the politics of pile on instead,” Solis Doyle wrote. “Her opponents tried a whole host of attacks on Hillary. She is one strong woman. She came through it well. But Hillary’s going to need your help.”

Grrrrrrl Power!!!!

West Virginia torture victim describes horror

Wednesday, October 3rd, 2007

Ok I was send several e-mails on this, like this is breaking news. I posted the original CNN story when it first came out. I guess the story is getting some legs again buried mostly because of the Jena 6 case.
I mean seriously do you people not read the news?
Now I’m gonna say what many won’t. You did not see Jessie and Al, and the other race pimps running to this girl’s defense and calling for outrage in this case because this girl once dated one of the defendants. I can here the Negros now, “ah that’s what you get when you start shacking up with white folks.” More 411 below and the You Tube clip.

by CASH MICHAELS
The Wilmington JournalMegan Williams, the Charleston, West Virginia black woman who was allegedly held captive, beaten, raped and made to eat rat and dog feces by six white career criminals, has told her chilling story to Logan County investigators.

“They said it was because I was colored,” Williams 20, is quoted in a written statement to authorities. “They said they don’t like black people and they said they were going to hang me.”

As a result, all six suspects – Frankie Lee Brewster, 49; her son, Bobby Ray, 24, who authorities believe had some sort of relationship with the alleged victim; Danny Combs, 20; George Messer, 27; Karen Burton, 46, and her daughter Alisha, 22 – are now charged with first-degree kidnapping, which carries up to life in prison; and at least one-count each of first-degree sexual offense, which could garner up to 35 years behind bars upon conviction.

To the chagrin of several black leaders including the NAACP, prosecutors are holding off filing hate crime charges, which carry only a maximum of ten years, in favor of the bigger charges.

Williams, who, according to members of her family has some mental challenges, was not held captive for a week, as many had first thought, but for over a month at a broken down mobile home trailer in the mountainous, predominately white Big Creek community of Logan County, according to authorities.

One of the six suspects arrested in the case, Bobby Brewster, had a previous relationship with the victim, Logan County Prosecutor Brian Abraham told The Associated Press. He said Brewster had been charged in July with domestic battery and assault after a domestic dispute involving the same woman.

Bishop accused in beating blames Satan for his woes

Monday, August 27th, 2007

I don’t particularly give a shit about these people. I however always find it amusing when religious scamster types get into trouble they always blame that “Satan” dude.
Seems to me that particular excuse would be played out by now.

(Link) Bishop Thomas Weeks III, now charged with beating his estranged wife, the nationally known evangelist Juanita Bynum.Members of Global Destiny Church in Duluth urged people to cautious about taking sides in the dispute between Bishop Thomas Weeks III and his wife, Juanita Bynum.

Most congregants approached for interviews after Sunday’s 8 a.m. service declined to comment on the marital problems of Weeks, 40, and Bynum, 48.

Those who did urged caution in taking sides in the issue and passing judgment on two people they consider spiritual giants, but also human.

“There are three sides to every story,” said Clarkston’s Shannon Mayers, a frequent visitor. “Nobody has the right to judge anybody. God is in the midst of that and will work it out.”

Member Maurice Adams, 26, of Atlanta said he was disappointed to hear the news but still considers Weeks his bishop.

“We all make mistakes. He deserves another opportunity,” Adams said. “I’m hurt, but I do respect him for being man enough to show his face today.”

Weeks took the pulpit two days after his surrender to authorities in connection with the alleged attack on Bynum. His remarks included appreciation for the prayers and support that he said have come in for him and his wife and thanks to those in attendance in spite of the controversy.

Weeks sparked thunderous applause and cheers when he asked members to tell those seated next to them: “We’ve got certain things going on right now, but I refuse to stop coming to the house God built.”

Weeks, wearing a dark suit and his customary bow tie, blamed the devil for the accusation that has him facing two felony charges. He didn’t, however, offer any specifics before introducing a guest minister who preached in his stead, then exiting the room.

The bishop is charged with aggravated assault for allegedly choking, kicking and hitting Bynum on Tuesday night in a parking lot at the Renaissance Concourse Hotel and with making terroristic threats to kill her. Both are felonies.

After turning himself in, he spent six hours in the Fulton County Jail before being released on $40,000 bond Friday.

The couple reportedly met at the Renaissance to talk about reconciliation after having been separated for several months.

Bynum, known for her fiery sermons that empower women, has been in seclusion since the attack and was not present at Sunday’s 8 a.m. service.
