Americans ‘Have To’ Move Away From Oil, McCain Says

Wednesday, June 11th, 2008

I started to go on a long tirade about what McCain said in this interview and to explain again why I don’t want this man to be president AGAIN but I’m like fuck it. I’m just a middle aged Negro anonymous blogger with a few opinions that I share on occasion. Nobody care what a broke ass Middle American angry Negro has to say about a great American POW survivor war hero…faux Republican.

Although I know my request for insight, inspiration and wisdom will be pretty much ignored I will still humbly ask those of you who are more right leaning or those of you who still identify yourselves as Republican why should I support this idiot old bastard?

I’m thinking hell at least an Obama presidency will entertain me with dude slapping his wife in the ass before they board Air Force one or the shot of him with a 40 in one hand slapping down a double six screaming “biatch” while playing dominoes as he entertains his homies in the Oval Office.

Anywho just posting for those of you who care. *Sigh*

(CNSNews.com) - At a time when congressional Republicans are pressing for expanded domestic oil drilling to boost supply, Republican Sen. John McCain says the goal of his energy policy is to move Americans away from oil. He also said oil companies “absolutely” should be giving something back to the consumer.

Americans “have to” move away from oil, McCain said Wednesday, not only because of soaring gasoline prices, “but also because of greenhouse gas emissions.”

His energy plan says nothing about oil drilling. Instead, McCain is pushing for alternative forms of energy — especially an expansion of nuclear power.

“We have to embark on a national mission to become energy independent — and nuclear power has to play a big role in that,” he told NBC’s “Today” show on Wednesday.

Asked if there’s anything he or Sen. Obama could do to ease soaring gasoline prices, McCain said “We could give them (American consumers) a bit of a break for this summer.”

McCain says that suspending the federal gasoline tax (18.4 cents a gallon) between Memorial Day and Labor Day might help a little bit. He also says he would temporarily halt new oil infusions into the nation’s Strategic Petroleum Reserve.

But between now and November, McCain said he doubts gasoline prices will go much lower than they are now — and they “could go higher.” The situation won’t get much better than it is now, given that a finite supply of oil is controlled by a cartel.

Oil company profits

At a time of record oil prices and record profits — when oil companies are getting various tax breaks and financial incentives from the federal government — shouldn’t those companies “be able to give something back to the consumer?” NBC’s Matt Lauer asked McCain. “Absolutely,” McCain replied.

“And they should be investing in alternative energy and they should be giving back to the consumer and they should be embarking on research and development that will pay off in reducing our dependence on foreign oil,” McCain said.

“The point is, oil companies have got to be more participatory in alternate energy, in sharing their profits in a variety of ways, and there is very strong and justifiable emotion about their profits,” McCain said.

On Tuesday, Senate Republicans prevented a vote on a Democratic bill that would have imposed a 25 percent windfall profits tax on oil company profits. The motion to cut off debate and proceed to a vote failed by a 51-43 margin. Neither McCain nor Sen. Barack Obama cast a vote on the cloture motion.

But both presumed presidential candidates support a windfall profits tax.

Last month in North Carolina, McCain said, “I don’t like obscene profits being made anywhere — and I’d be glad to look not just at the windfall profits tax — that’s not what bothers me — but we should look at any incentives that we are giving to people or industries or corporations that are distorting the market.”

Obama, Terrorists, Oil, Stupid, America Screwed

Thursday, May 15th, 2008

Work with me people I’m gonna weave a couple of topics and posts into one confusing one, LOL!

From Hot Air

The latest ad from the RNC takes some low-hanging fruit and makes a feast from it. The ad takes the energy policy of Barack Obama and compares it to the last President that tried it — Jimmy Carter. Obama’s call for a windfall-profits tax against oil companies prompts a history lesson about the results from the last such attempt:

RNC Commercial

MORE HERE

MORE READINGPDF - RNC Research Briefing: Why Does Barack Obama Want To Increase Taxes Again And
Drive Up The Cost Of Gasoline On Americans?

BUT NOW WATCH THIS CLIP OF OBAMA….

TEXT: Sen. Barack Obama The Age of oil must end speech

“your great mayor” LOL!

“We fuel our oil addiction by sending over 800 million dollars a day to countries that include some of the most despotic volatile regimes in the world.”

“oil money funds everything from the madrassas that plant the seeds of terror in young minds, to sunni insurgents that attack our troops in Iraq, corrupts budding democracies
and gives dictators from Venezuela to Iran the power to freely defy the international community it even presents a larger target for Osama Bin Laden who has told Al Qaeda to focus your operations on oil especially in Iraq and the gulf area since this will cause Americans to die off on their own”

The clip

Now Bush says this:

“Some seem to believe we should negotiate with terrorists and radicals, as if some ingenious argument will persuade them they have been wrong all along,”

said Bush, in what White House aides privately acknowledged was a reference to calls by Obama and other Democrats for the U.S. president to sit down for talks with leaders like Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

Because Obama said this….

Obama: “Sure, I’ll meet with Castro, Chavez, Ahmadinejad, etc”

And as Allahpundit noted, from Obama’s own website:

obama-website.jpg

Without preconditions. That means without Iran guaranteeing anything, let alone the big prize of their nuclear program.

MORE OF THIS HERE AT HOT AIR AGAIN

Now I’m confused and I’m the one posting this shit, Obama says to me (Snoop evil dictator) you run one of the most despotic regimes in the world and I plant the seeds of terror in young minds, and you STILL want to sit down and talk to me? What the fuck?
Which is it? Negotiate with terrorist thugs, stop sending these thugs our money via oil, reduce dependency on foreign oil, we need a windfall profits tax to tax the oil companies, oh don’t forget that we have no other alternative energy resources, bla bla bla, yada yada yada.

CONFUSED!?!

Yes I must agree with El Borak, an Obama presidency will no doubt be a fun one blogging wise. Just think the Democrats will fucken have control of the House, Senate and likely the presidency (even if McCain wins the same thing). The Democrats are likely to turn this country back into the Stone Age. And who do we have to blame, Republicans since they are a bunch of spineless no guts assholes that refuse to run on and stand up for conservative principles.

With the Democrats in charge America will in essence be imprisoned by liberalism and thus will become the “tossed salad man”

“The cost of good intentions: Bio Fuel = high food prices”

Tuesday, April 29th, 2008

A key blunder was the ill-conceived response to high energy prices by promoting grain-based biofuels…

###

Food scientists say stop biofuels to fight world hunger

WASHINGTON (AP) — Some top international food scientists Tuesday recommended halting the use of food-based biofuels, such as ethanol, saying it would cut corn prices by 20 percent during a world food crisis. But even as the scientists were calling for a moratorium, President Bush urged the opposite. He declared the United States should increase ethanol use because of national energy security and high gas prices.  - IDIOT!

The conflicting messages Tuesday highlighted the ongoing debate over food and fuel needs.

The three senior scientists with an international research consortium pushing a biofuel moratorium said nations need to rethink programs that divert food such as corn and soybeans into fuel, given the burgeoning worldwide food crisis. The group, CGIAR, is a global network that uses science to fight hunger. It is funded by dozens of countries and private foundations.

If leading nations stopped biofuel use this year, it would lead to a price decline in corn by about 20 percent and wheat by about 10 percent from 2009-10, said Joachim von Braun. He heads the International Food Policy Research Institute in Washington, the policy arm of CGIAR. The United States is the biggest biofuel producer.

He and the other scientists said work should be stepped up on the use of non-grain crops, such as switchgrass, for biofuel.

Another scientist, not associated with the group, agreed with their call for a halt on the use of grain for fuel.

“We need to feed the stomach before we need to feed our cars,” said Rattan Lal, an Ohio State University soil sciences professor who in the past has been a critic of some of CGIAR’s priorities. “We have 1 billion people who are food insecure. We can’t afford the luxury of not taking care of them and taking care of gasoline.”

Rockefeller Smears McCain, Feigns Apology

Wednesday, April 9th, 2008

jackass1.jpg
Couple of items from Sweetness & Light

First the smear, from West Virginia’s Charleston Gazette:

Jay defends endorsement of Sen. Obama
April 8, 2008

By Paul J. Nyden

Sen. Jay Rockefeller, D-W.Va., defended his decision to make an endorsement in the race for president during an interview with Gazette editors on Monday…

Rockefeller criticized Sen. John McCain, the presumed Republican nominee for president. “Senator McCain does have a temper. But today, he speaks in a monotone on the campaign trail.”

Rockefeller believes McCain has become insensitive to many human issues. “McCain was a fighter pilot, who dropped laser-guided missiles from 35,000 feet. He was long gone when they hit.

“What happened when they [the missiles] get to the ground? He doesn’t know. You have to care about the lives of people. McCain never gets into those issues.”

Then Mr. Rockefeller’s faux apology, via Fox News:

Rockefeller Apologizes to McCain for Calling Him Hit-and-Run Aviator

Tuesday, April 8, 2008

Democratic Sen. Jay Rockefeller, a Barack Obama supporter, apologized to John McCain Tuesday for suggesting to a West Virginia newspaper that the Arizona senator does not care about “the lives of people” caught in the wars he champions, dating back to his Navy service in Vietnam…

On Tuesday, Rockefeller issued a statement, saying, “I have deep respect for John McCain’s honorable and noble service to our country. I made an inaccurate and wrong analogy and I have extended my sincere apology to him.

#######

Also check out: I am probably most confident that I know more and understand the world better than Senator Clinton or Senator McCain,”

Obama was clearly on crack when he said that…

( I said this Oct of 06) Can Barack Obama be president? Only if he changes his skin color and name

Tuesday, March 18th, 2008

This Pastor Wright controversy was the perfect opportunity for anti-Negro presidential rednecks to pounce.

obamachar2.jpgI’m listening to Rush, I watched Opera where Obama was on there being his charming self.
I read the Times articles and all of the shit being circulated about Mr. Obama.
But ole Snoop is just gonna come right out and tell you people straight up what nobody else will say.
This collective orgasm about dude is all bullshit.
I have said countless numbers of times that this country will NEVER, EVER, EVER, did I say NEVER, elect a black man as president. I don’t give a shit if Jesus Christ came down and personally campaigned for him.

This country is not going to elect a nigga for president.
The only reason why the Times and all of these white folks in the media are pumping up dude is they want to keep black folks thinking that the Democratic Party is the party for black folks.

Democrats see the trend of blacks considering their options at the voting booth and the blacks running in prominent races around the country on the Republican side.
So to stem the tide they are going to prop up brotha Obama and woo the likes of Oprah and other people who are easily manipulated by his charm and wit. “Lookie here is a negro we like”

But let me tell you something else NOBODY WILL SAY, not only is this country unlikely to vote for a black man for prez, they sure as hell won’t vote for a dude named OBAMA. OSAMA, OBAMA OSAMA OBAMA. Get it!
I can hear the rednecks now, “I’m not voting for some sand, nigger to run this country.”
Also the fact that he is from a mixed race background, who are you people kidding?
I’m sick of all of these talk shows and news segments talking about dude without addressing the most basic of issues (HUMAN BEINGS) and their fucked up prejudices.
And I have not even addressed dudes politics.
So as 2008 approaches remember, Snoop exposed the truth first.

Oh and those of you who want to throw out the “what about Powell or Rice?” er uh, no.
NO!

Race-mongering Rep. Diane Watson channels Ray Nagin

Tuesday, February 26th, 2008

Tipster JP passes along audio from a Black History Town Hall meeting last night held by Congressional Black Caucus leaders at Howard University in Washington, D.C.California Democrat Rep. Diane Watson, in discussing D.C. representation, channeled New Orleans Mayor Ray “Chocolate City” Nagin. Partial transcript:

Did you know your representatives can not vote? They can only vote in the committee as a whole. So what you’re going to have to do is declare the District [of Columbia] something like a state so they can have a proportional representation who vote. But that would give this district two senators and there are a lot of people on that floor who don’t want to see that occur because if there’s a chocolate city, this is it.

Judge Him by His Laws - Charlie Peters

Consider a bill into which Obama clearly put his heart and soul. The problem he wanted to address was that too many confessions, rather than being voluntary, were coerced — by beating the daylights out of the accused.Obama proposed requiring that interrogations and confessions be videotaped. This seemed likely to stop the beatings, but the bill itself aroused immediate opposition. There were Republicans who were automatically tough on crime and Democrats who feared being thought soft on crime. There were death penalty abolitionists, some of whom worried that Obama’s bill, by preventing the execution of innocents, would deprive them of their best argument. Vigorous opposition came from the police, too many of whom had become accustomed to using muscle to “solve” crimes. And the incoming governor, Rod Blagojevich, announced that he was against it.

***********
Remember the dude on Chris Matthews….

Well, after the fact, Watson actually tried to come up with a list of Obama’s “accomplishments” after the fact. So, imagine it: Watson is highly motivated because he has made his candidate look bad on TV, so he does heavy research, he talks to his fellow Obama supporters, and he probably even called Obama’s campaign.

(Right Wing News - Obama’s “Accomplishments“)

after the fact, Watson actually tried to come up with a list of Obama’s “accomplishments” after the fact. So, imagine it: Watson is highly motivated because he has made his candidate look bad on TV, so he does heavy research, he talks to his fellow Obama supporters, and he probably even called Obama’s campaign.  So, what did Watson manage to come up with? This is it

* Senator Obama’s fight for universal children’s health care in Illinois.* His success bringing Republicans and Democrats together (a huge selling point for me in general) on bills such as the one in Illinois requiring police interrogations and confessions to be videotaped.* His leadership on ethics reform in Washington (the bill that lobbyists and special interests are complaining about right now has his name on it).

* His bill to make the federal budget far more transparent and accessible to Americans via the Internet – we could use that openness in Texas.

* And his vital work with Republicans to lock down nuclear weapons around the world.

No wait, Jack and Jill Politics blog unhappy with us conservative leaning folks trashing their man has a bunch of stuff.

OBAMA HAS SIGNIFICANT LEGISLATIVE ACHIEVEMENTS both in the Illinois and US Senate. You should be able to discuss his groundbreaking work to reform the Illinois death penalty by getting confessions videotaped against the objections of a Republican governor plus police and prosecutors.

You should be able to discuss his groundbreaking work to create an easily searchable database of federal spending, the Google for Government, bill.

You should be able to discuss his nuclear non-proliferation law co-sponsored with Republican Dick Lugar.

That’s all Watson had to know. But wait, there’s more. So. Much. More.

He says:

“you need to visit barackobama.com NOW. Seriously. It is your duty as a citizen to be informed and no one is preventing you. Go to the issues page. Click on any issue (e.g. Civil Rights). This may sound hard, but I want you to read it. Jump to the bottom where it says “Barack Obama’s Record” and you’ll see” for example:

Record of Advocacy: Obama has worked to promote civil rights and fairness in the criminal justice system throughout his career. As a community organizer, Obama helped 150,000 African Americans register to vote. As a civil rights lawyer, Obama litigated employment discrimination, housing discrimination, and voting rights cases. As a State Senator, Obama passed one of the country’s first racial profiling laws and helped reform a broken death penalty system. And in the U.S. Senate, Obama has been a leading advocate for protecting the right to vote, helping to reauthorize the Voting Rights Act and leading the opposition against discriminatory barriers to voting.

Media Matters also has:

In a February 12 article in The Politico on Sen. Barack Obama’s (D-IL) “peevish” comments “accus[ing] the media of ignoring his substantive record and falsely depicting him as a lightweight,” senior political writer Ben Smith claimed that Obama “hasn’t sponsored any legislation that would affect the way Americans live their daily lives.” Yet, as Media Matters for America has noted, Obama was the primary sponsor of 152 bills and resolutions introduced in the last Congress. These included bills to create a federal standard for renewable diesel fuel (S.1426), to improve benefits and services for members of the armed forces and veterans (S.3988), and to direct the Nuclear Regulatory Commission to establish guidelines for tracking spent fuel rods (S.1194).

more at the above link… BUT BUT BUT Media Matters end the piece by informing you of the following:

Smith did not note that between the time Obama took office and January 4, the Republican Party was the majority party in the Senate and thus controlled the legislative agenda. In such a situation, the oportunities for a bill sponsored by a member of the minority party to see legislative action are particularly limited.

Lets be fair, people!

OK believe it or not people I check out a great number of these links, so who else on the left is trying to pimp for B Hussein Obama?

Finally from Gov Track - Barack Obama Voting History

Statistic: Barack Obama missed 185 of 1098 votes (17%) since Jan 6, 2005 (Extremely Poor relative to peers).

Bill Sponsorship & Cosponsorship

Statistics: Barack Obama has sponsored 129 bills since Jan 4, 2005, of which 120 haven’t made it out of committee (Poor) and 1 were successfully enacted (Average, relative to peers). Obama has co-sponsored 545 bills during the same time period (Average, relative to peers).

Some of Obama’s most recently sponsored bills include… (View All)

S. 2030: A bill to amend the Federal Election Campaign Act of 1971 to require reporting relating to bundled contributions made by persons other than registered lobbyists.

S. 2111: Positive Behavior for Effective Schools Act

S. 2066: Back to School: Improving Standards for Nutrition and Physical Education in Schools Act of 2007

S.Con.Res. 46: A concurrent resolution supporting the goals and ideals of Sickle Cell Disease Awareness Month.

S. 2044: Independent Contractor Proper Classification Act of 2007

I have now properly educated myself on Obama’s “greatness.” Wow I bet you Obama supporters must be beaming and just oozing at the possibility of electing the next MLK? Kennedy? Carter? LOL!

Chris Matthews did the Obama people a huge favor, all of these tards were going around gushing about Obama’s speaking eloquence and his bullshit message of change and hope.
Matthews embarrassing that moron from Texas put the Obama fans on notice.

I doubt it, bloggers tend to be far more educated about political issues and the true substance of candidates, but the average person on the streets will always be more smitten by a politicians, looks, charm/charisma, speech giving ability, bottom line a bunch of bullshit.

Wizbang Blue had these clips from that dude who does the focus group thing on Fox and asked these clueless people if they could name any Obama accomplishment. Well without watching the video, you already know the answer.

Obama and his lobbyists homies

FIRST HIS WORDS….

From Sister Toldjah -  Barack Obama’s ties to lobbyists and special interests

“I think it is imperative that the whole truth and nothing but the truth gets out about the man who could be our next president. He’s not being completely upfront with the American people, and we all know his devotees in the press will faithfully continue to carry his water, so it’s up to “citizen journalists” to help spread the word. The Washington Post fact check article I linked to noted a few examples, but here are some more:  On August 9, 2007, The Boston Globe reported on Barack Obama’s meteoric rise in politics, and just what types of groups helped make that possible: PACS and lobbyists (emphasis added by me):

A Globe review of Obama’s campaign finance records shows that he collected hundreds of thousands of dollars from lobbyists and PACs as a state legislator in Illinois, a US senator, and a presidential aspirant. In Obama’s eight years in the Illinois Senate, from 1996 to 2004, almost two-thirds of the money he raised for his campaigns — $296,000 of $461,000 — came from PACs, corporate contributions, or unions, according to Illinois Board of Elections records. He tapped financial services firms, real estate developers, healthcare providers, oil companies, and many other corporate interests, the records show.

  • One of Sen. Obama’s biggest donors is the energy giant Exelon:

Exelon is the sixth largest donor to Sen. Obama’s presidential campaign and the fourth largest career donor to Obama’s federal campaigns. Exelon employees have donated over $269,100 to his federal campaigns and over $194,750 in 2008. [opensecrets.org, 2008, 2004-2008]

Central to Obama’s message of change are claims that he is free of lobbyist influence. But in fact, he has been, and still is being funded by some of the same sort of interests and corporate interests as Clinton and other candidates through big corporate donors known as bundlers.

In fact, he’s received so much funding, an estimated $30 million per month, that his campaign appears to be backpedaling on a November pledge where he said if he was the Democratic nominee, he would aggressively pursue and agreement with the Republican nominee to preserve a publicly financed general election.

“The Washington Post” said in a February 16 editorial that “this kind of backtracking and parsing is’t what the millions of voters who have been inspired by Mr. Obama are looking for.”

More telling, a November 2006 Harpers article “The Making of a Washington Machine” by Ken Silverstein quoted an anonymous Washington lobbyist, “big donors would not be helping out OBama if they didn’t see him as a player.”

Article: Sen. Obama finesses his lobbyist ties - Posted Posted: 04/19/07

In a fundraising e-mail sent to supporters at the beginning of March, the candidate wrote that Washington’s special-interest industry is trying “to own our political process and dictate our policies in Washington.

“We’re not going to play that game. We’re not taking any contributions from Washington lobbyists or political action committees. We’re going to transform the political process by bringing together hundreds of thousands of ordinary Americans to build a campaign.”

What’s in a Name? - John McCain: “the leader of the loyal opposition.”

Monday, February 18th, 2008

johnmccainpirate1.jpg

It’s easy to forget that the Arizona senator is not, in fact, a Democrat. In the past year he has stood against his party on so many prominent and contentious issues that his concurrences with GOP dogma have become more of an exception than a rule. In the conservative media, he has become a figure of vilification on par with Tom Daschle.

Last fall, when his name came up in a meeting of House Republicans, he was booed. And it is no exaggeration to say that he has co-sponsored virtually the entire domestic agenda of the Democratic Party. One prominent Democrat enthuses, “He’s the leader of the loyal opposition.” Typically that role falls to a leader of the opposition party. But the most popular and effective champion of the Democratic Party’s values isn’t Tom Daschle. It’s John McCain.

And at a moment when the party is casting about for a leader to define it against a popular president, and McCain is casting about for a home after his virtual expulsion from the GOP, there is an obvious solution to both dilemmas: John McCain ought to become a Democrat–and a presumptive front-runner for the party’s presidential nomination in 2004.

A reader asked me to check into information that President Bush was pushing a massive foreign-aid package to Mexico to help them secure their southern border against the flow of illegal aliens from Central America.“We can’t even get our own border straight, and we are going to provide Mexico with funding so they can solve their problem,” the reader fumed. “I doubt the Central Americans are staying very long in Mexico anyway. We know where they are going!”

Too outrageously outrageous to be true?

Well, I checked it out and it’s even worse than the reader described. Far worse.

The plan is called “The Merida Initiative.” Seems that the White House has had this plan in the works for nearly a year with little congressional input on either side of the border.

John McCain’s War On Blogs

Monday, January 28th, 2008

mccain8.jpg

This is an old post from Think Progress in 2006, just in case you did not catch before…

John McCain has made clear that he doesn’t like the blogosphere. Now he has introduced legislation that would treat blogs like Internet service providers and hold them responsible for all activity in the comments sections and user profiles. Some highlights of the legislation:

– Commercial websites and personal blogs “would be required to report illegal images or videos posted by their users or pay fines of up to $300,000.”

– Internet service providers (ISPs) are already required to issue such reports, but under McCain’s legislation, bloggers with comment sections may face “even stiffer penalties” than ISPs.

— Social networking sites will be forced to take “effective measures” — such as deleting user profiles — to remove any website that is “associated” with a sex offender. Sites may include not only Facebook and MySpace, but also Amazon.com, which permits author profiles and personal lists, and blogs like DailyKos, which allows users to sign up for personal diaries.

Kevin Bankston of the Electronic Frontier Foundation notes that this proposal may be based more “on fear or political considerations rather than on the facts.” When he introduced his legislation to the Senate, McCain offered no evidence that children are being victimized by people who post comments on blogs.

McCain’s legislation could deal a serious blow to the blogosphere. Lacking resources to police their sites, many individual blogs may have to shut down open discussion.

Ron Paul Nutbars Crow About Nevada - From Brainsters Blog

You know you’re pathetic when you point to a state where you got 14% of the vote in a state caucus where you ran the only TV ads. An LA Times blogger enthuses:

Boy, oh, boy! Hidden behind all the hoopla, headlines and the Nevada caucus victories of Mitt Romney and Hillary Clinton is one little-noticed but stunning political development and number:Ron Paul, the one-time Libertarian candidate and 10-term Republican congressman from Texas, was in second place. That’s right, Second Place. The 72-year-old ob-gyn who’s always on the end of the line at GOP debates or barred altogether, was running ahead of John McCain, Fred Thompson, Rudy Giuliani, in fact, ahead of….all other Republicans except Romney, who easily captured his second state in a week after Michigan.

Woooooot! The Ron Paul Love Revolution is surging!

Also from Brainster - Drama Queen Conservative Bloggers

Add Jeff Goldstein to the list: I will not, will not, vote for John McCain.Oh, and he won’t vote for Mike Huckabee, either, and would have to hold his nose to vote for Mitt Romney. If Fred doesn’t win the nomination then Jeff’s going to sit this one out. LOL! Funniest thing Goldstein’s ever written. One of John Hawkins’ weekend guests does a little DQ herself:Jeff captures my ennui perfectly. And this reminds me of what I’ve written before: bloggers are a different breed than the average American. The air we breath on the conservative side is as rarefied as the air breathed in newsrooms around America. No, it’s as rarefied as the air breathed in the liberal blogosphere. And I mean that seriously. The idiot lib-bloggers spent all of 2006 trying to beat a Democrat because he was an apostate on one issue. The conservative bloggers look like they’re going to be spending all of 2008 trying to beat a Republican because he was an apostate on one issue. And don’t try to convince me it’s more than that one issue. McCain-Feingold? Tell me that you’re seriously going to sit out an election because of campaign finance laws. Torture (which Goldstein mentions)? Hey, I disagree with the senator on that issue, but guess what? He actually knows what torture is like, unlike Jeff or me.

You know, everybody on the conservative side of the aisle got a big laugh out of the gag that Hillary’s new theme song was, “It’s My Party, and I’ll Cry If I Want To”, and now what happens? Less than two weeks later, they’re singing it too!

*****************
Oh what the hell, so I’m a drama Queen Conservative Blogger, I’m still not voting for McCain. John McCain can kiss my black ass and any blogger who is supporting him who wants to write this trifling bullshit chastising me for my political decision making can also kiss my black ass.

I said before and I will keep saying, the Democrats can have the fucken White House; I don’t give a shit anymore.
McCain all of these years has been comfortable with kissing the collective asses of Democrats and he is frankly more comfortable with them than he is with his right leaning homies.

The more posts like this I read from McCain pimps just makes me laugh.
Fucken people on these radio talks shows getting on the air and sounding off about these sorry ass candidates, it’s not only irritating it is downright embarrassing.
The political contenders in this election cycles, candidates on both sides of the political aisle are all idiots. I must admit that I frankly feel like a complete jackass for falling for Freds faux candidacy. It was clear that he did not want the gig, I knew this from the beginning but I was searching for something, anything to latch on to. I was a fool, particularly since I posted my support here.
That won’t happen again.

Nobody can convince me that any of these people are worthy of my vote, they all suck; America has successfully fucked the presidential selection process. I seriously doubt that we will ever have a candidate who is truly worthy of the position.
Anyone worthy of the position is too smart to run.
We will be forever left with sinister, lying ass, soulless, pandering slugs who are not even deserving of being mayor of Mayberry much less the most powerful position on the planet.
All these candidates need to do is bullshit (lie to) enough dolts, speak somewhat eloquently blurt out a few crap phrases and magically you have a candidate.

John McCain supporters keep bringing up his time in the Hanoi Hilton, like being a POW automatically shoots you to the front of the presidential line.
POW or not, if your political ideology is full of holes, then you won’t get my vote.
If that draws the ire of you McCain supporters then screw you.

Mark Levin On The John McCain Candidacy

Monday, January 21st, 2008

mccain6.gif

By Mark R. Levin - From via National Review: Found on Sweetness & Light

As I understand Victor Davis Hanson’s position, those of us who believe John McCain will cause severe damage to the conservative movement and the Republican party should hush up, or at least calm down, for this electoral juggernaut, who has managed to get 33 percent of the vote in South Carolina (despite backing by most of the establishment there) and is strong on the war in Iraq. And if we continue to bring attention to those issues that concern us — which are not insignificant to anyone who has worked in conservative circles for nearly 40 years — then we will destroy the party and Hillary Clinton will win, thereby losing the war on terror. VDH is neither the first nor will he be the last to make this case.

With all due respect, this is absurd on many levels. If John McCain is nominated and loses, it is because he doesn’t appeal to enough Americans, including the base that he has repeatedly betrayed (as Thomas Sowell puts it) over a long period of time. The suggestion that McCain and McCain alone is capable of fighting this war, given his experience, seems to be the core of the concern. Let me suggest that VDH and others who make this claim are wrong.

McCain never treated Bill Cohen, Clinton’s defense secretary, with the kind of personal animus he showed Donald Rumsfeld. McCain often confuses policy with personality affronts. He was social friends with Cohen so he didn’t admonish him about his hollowing out of the military. His attacks on Rumsfeld started before his disagreement over the surge. Their personalities clashed. And as before, McCain wanted to get even. The fact that he was right on the surge, which has now evolved into mythical proportions with the help of his campaign and supporters, goes high on the credit side of the ledger.

Congressional Dems Vote Yes on Ramadan, No on Christmas

Thursday, December 13th, 2007

20.jpg

Found via Moonbattery

Not all Democrats in Congress bother to be subtle about their hostility toward our culture, and their eagerness to pander to those who share that hostility.A few weeks ago Congress passed a resolution recognizing the brutal terrorist cult Islam as “one of the great religions of the world” and honoring Ramadan. It passed unanimously.

Then came a resolution with similar wording, honoring Christmas, and decrying violence against Christians around the world. Nine Congresskooks were bold enough in their depravity to vote against it:

  • Gary Ackerman (D-NY)
  • Yvette Clarke (D-NY)
  • Diana DeGette (D-CO)
  • Alcee Hastings (D-FL)
  • Barbara Lee (D-CA)
  • Jim McDermott (D-WA)
  • Robert Scott (D-VA)
  • Pete Stark (D-CA)
  • Lynn Woolsey (D-CA)

Ten others voted “present”; here’s a surprise: one of them (Mike Pence of Indiana) isn’t a Democrat.

Presumably all of these characters have more Christians in their districts than Muslims. Whoever they’re representing, it isn’t the misguided voters who put them in office.

On tips from V the K and Cheetah. Hat tip: Michelle Malkin.

Y’all know I’m very much a Republican and I have ranted often about how screwed up Democrats are and why all of us Republicans need to work hard at keeping as many of these Democrat jackasses out of office as possible.

I heard Tom Brokaw on a radio interview talking about how we need to abandon partisan politics and come together in peace and harmony put our political positions aside for the sake of the nation.
Is Tom on crack? Seriously, is there anyone out there reading this post that actually thinks that abandoning YOUR political ideology and core principals is a good thing? And substitute them for what?

Let me tell you, the notion that I could somehow, alter my political leaning to become more “tolerant” of Democrats and their views “for the sake of the nation” is just retarded.

The post above is one of many examples of why I find the majority of liberal Democrats repugnant.
Democrats routinely sacrifice the safety, security and core American values that make this nation great, simply for political gain. Democrats actually take pride in; bashing and maligning our military, attacking core Christian values, catering to elements that actively seek to destroy this nation i.e. wiping the collective asses of radical Islamic types.
Democrats are proficient in promoting race baiting politics, poverty pimping, loathing capitalism; they fight harder to protect American trees rather than the American people, they actually believe we are not taxed enough and they are successful at promoting the notion that they and only they are the champions of promoting civil rights and
Democrats have a perpetual hard on for increasing bureaucracy.

I don’t know about you, but I want Democrats to lose, I want them relegated to the back of the political ideological bus forever.
Tom Brokaw and anyone else preaching this political reconciliation bullshit needs to start paying attention to the stupid shit Democrats say and do every damm day.

Hillary’s A Porker

Monday, December 10th, 2007

hillarycash.gifFrom the Blog California Yankee

Hillary has earmarked more than $2.3 billion in federal appropriations for projects in her state:

Since taking office in 2001, Clinton has delivered $500 million worth of earmarks that have specifically benefitted 59 corporations. About 64% of those corporations provided funds to her campaigns through donations made by employees, executives, board members or lobbyists, a review by the Los Angeles Times shows.[. . .]

Clinton is not the biggest earmarker in Congress; senior congressional leaders and members of the appropriations committees can and do write many more such provisions into the huge spending bills they draft. But Clinton does significantly more earmarking than most others with her relatively low level of seniority.

In Meetings, Spy Panels’ Chiefs Did Not Protest, Officials Say

By Joby Warrick and Dan Eggen
Sunday, December 9, 2007; A01 - Washington Post

In September 2002, four members of Congress met in secret for a first look at a unique CIA program designed to wring vital information from reticent terrorism suspects in U.S. custody. For more than an hour, the bipartisan group, which included current House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), was given a virtual tour of the CIA’s overseas detention sites and the harsh techniques interrogators had devised to try to make their prisoners talk.

Among the techniques described, said two officials present, was waterboarding, a practice that years later would be condemned as torture by Democrats and some Republicans on Capitol Hill. But on that day, no objections were raised. Instead, at least two lawmakers in the room asked the CIA to push harder, two U.S. officials said.

“The briefer was specifically asked if the methods were tough enough,” said a U.S. official who witnessed the exchange

With one known exception, no formal objections were raised by the lawmakers briefed about the harsh methods during the two years in which waterboarding was employed, from 2002 to 2003, said Democrats and Republicans with direct knowledge of the matter. The lawmakers who held oversight roles during the period included Pelosi and Rep. Jane Harman (D-Calif.) and Sens. Bob Graham (D-Fla.) and John D. Rockefeller IV (D-W.Va.), as well as Rep. Porter J. Goss (R-Fla.) and Sen. Pat Roberts (R-Kan).

Taxpayer-Supported US-Hating 501c3 “Charities”

Wednesday, November 21st, 2007

Found the link to this subject on the blog What Bubba Knows, he links to an old article on this topic from the blog Sweetness & Light.
I obviously missed this article, so here it tis, check it out.

Read this carefully …
¤ Taxpayer-Supported US-Hating 501c3 “Charities”Even a casual study of these organizations reveals the incestuous nature
of these groups. A small number of professional America-haters have figured
out how to get the US taxpayer (YOU) to support their activities.

They should not be allowed to get away with it.

In case you missed it:
You can download IRS Form 3949-A and report the illegal activities of these
anti-American organizations. I’m sending mine registered mail.
And be sure to read up on How Do You Report Suspected Tax Fraud Activity?

Quiz Time: How many of the leftist organizations have ties to the Communist party?
If you didnt say ‘All of them’, go back and read the whole thing again.
