Bill Clinton “Gone With More Black Women”

Ohio Governor Ted Strickland (Hillary backer) Makes Racist Comments

WASHINGTON (CNN) — Sen. Hillary Clinton drew criticism Tuesday for a Martin Luther King Jr. Day speech in which she told a mostly black audience at a Harlem church that Republican leaders have run the House “like a plantation” and the Bush administration will go down as “one of the worst” in U.S. history. Mike Huckabee Plays Evangelical Card- Admits To Raising Taxes

Monday, January 14th, 2008

Found via Gateway Pundit

Former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee played the Evangelical card.
The Washington Post reported:

Former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee touted his candidacy Saturday as a chance for evangelical Christians to lead the Republican Party rather than just support its candidates.

“I don’t presume that you automatically support me because of a common faith,” Huckabee told a group of more than 100 conservative pastors. “I know I have to earn that. But I also recognize that there is a unique kind of opportunity. For a long time, those of us who are people of faith are asked to support candidates who would come and talk to us. But rarely has there been one who comes from us.”

Mark Levin called this tactic “deplorable campaigning.”
Governor Huckabee also admitted to raising taxes while governor on Face the Nation on Sunday:

Also, in case you folks did not know…

Ernie Dumas writes: Mike Huckabee raised more taxes in 10 years in office than Bill Clinton did in his 12 years.
Clinton tax increases- Increased the general sales tax from 3 percent to 4 per- cent (Act 63 of special session of 1983)

- Increased sales tax by half of 1 percent and extended the tax to used vehicles (Act 3 of 1991)

- Increased the corporate income tax from 6 to 6.5 percent for corporations with net incomes greater than $100,000 (Act 1052 of 1991)

- Levied a 16 percent tax on snuff (yes, there are a few people who still dip snuff) (Act 628 of 1987)

- Levied a 25-cent tax on each pack of cigarette papers (yes, there are people who still roll their own) (Act 1045 of 1987)

- Increased the cigarette tax from 17.75 cents a pack to 21 cents a pack (Act 399 of 1983)

- Increased the cigarette tax by a penny a pack (Act 1211 of 1991)

- Levied a 2 percent tax on certain tourism items like admission to theme parks (Act 38 of 1989)

- Increased excise taxes on mixed drinks sold for on-premises consumption (not wine or beer) (Act 844 of 1983 and Act 908 of 1989)

- Increased motor fuel taxes by 1 cent a gallon (1979)

- Increased motor fuel taxes by 4 cents a gallon (Act 456 of 1985) (Clinton vetoed the bill but the legislature overrode his veto.)

- Increased the tax on motor fuels by 5 cents a gallon

- Increased motor vehicle registration fees, 1979 (subsequently repealed)
Huckabee tax increases

- Imposed an income tax surcharge of 3 percent on tax liabilities of individuals and domestic and foreign corporations (Act 38, 1st special session of 2003). (It was temporary until revenues improved. The legislature repealed it in 2005.)

- Increased the sales tax by 1/8 of one percent by initiated act (but it was a personal campaign by Huckabee, who campaigned across the state for it and took a celebrated bass boat trip for 4 days down the Arkansas River holding press conferences in each river city to urge passage of the act) (there’s lots more)

ronpaul08a.jpgHey y’all already know I thought Ron Paul was a closet racist, duh, but this is good reading, except for Ron Paul fans, LOL! Sorry could not help that!

I know, I know lies… all lies!!

A sample of the article, go to link for full article

by James Kirchick
The bigoted past of Ron Paul.

Article Link - The New Republic

This “Special Issue on Racial Terrorism” was hardly the first time one of Paul’s publications had raised these topics. As early as December 1989, a section of his Investment Letter, titled “What To Expect for the 1990s,” predicted that “Racial Violence Will Fill Our Cities” because “mostly black welfare recipients will feel justified in stealing from mostly white ‘haves.’” Two months later, a newsletter warned of “The Coming Race War,” and, in November 1990, an item advised readers, “If you live in a major city, and can leave, do so. If not, but you can have a rural retreat, for investment and refuge, buy it.” In June 1991, an entry on racial disturbances in Washington, DC’s Adams Morgan neighborhood was titled, “Animals Take Over the D.C. Zoo.” “This is only the first skirmish in the race war of the 1990s,” the newsletter predicted. In an October 1992 item about urban crime, the newsletter’s author–presumably Paul–wrote, “I’ve urged everyone in my family to know how to use a gun in self defense. For the animals are coming.” That same year, a newsletter described the aftermath of a basketball game in which “blacks poured into the streets of Chicago in celebration. How to celebrate? How else? They broke the windows of stores to loot.” The newsletter inveighed against liberals who “want to keep white America from taking action against black crime and welfare,” adding, “Jury verdicts, basketball games, and even music are enough to set off black rage, it seems.”Such views on race also inflected the newsletters’ commentary on foreign affairs. South Africa’s transition to multiracial democracy was portrayed as a “destruction of civilization” that was “the most tragic [to] ever occur on that continent, at least below the Sahara”; and, in March 1994, a month before Nelson Mandela was elected president, one item warned of an impending “South African Holocaust.”

Martin Luther King Jr. earned special ire from Paul’s newsletters, which attacked the civil rights leader frequently, often to justify opposition to the federal holiday named after him. (”What an infamy Ronald Reagan approved it!” one newsletter complained in 1990. “We can thank him for our annual Hate Whitey Day.”) In the early 1990s, a newsletter attacked the “X-Rated Martin Luther King” as a “world-class philanderer who beat up his paramours,” “seduced underage girls and boys,” and “made a pass at” fellow civil rights leader Ralph Abernathy. One newsletter ridiculed black activists who wanted to rename New York City after King, suggesting that “Welfaria,” “Zooville,” “Rapetown,” “Dirtburg,” and “Lazyopolis” were better alternatives. The same year, King was described as “a comsymp, if not an actual party member, and the man who replaced the evil of forced segregation with the evil of forced integration.”

While bashing King, the newsletters had kind words for the former Imperial Wizard of the Ku Klux Klan, David Duke. In a passage titled “The Duke’s Victory,” a newsletter celebrated Duke’s 44 percent showing in the 1990 Louisiana Republican Senate primary. “Duke lost the election,” it said, “but he scared the blazes out of the Establishment.” In 1991, a newsletter asked, “Is David Duke’s new prominence, despite his losing the gubernatorial election, good for anti-big government forces?” The conclusion was that “our priority should be to take the anti-government, anti-tax, anti-crime, anti-welfare loafers, anti-race privilege, anti-foreign meddling message of Duke, and enclose it in a more consistent package of freedom.” Duke is now returning the favor, telling me that, while he will not formally endorse any candidate, he has made information about Ron Paul available on his website.

Clinton fights tears: “It’s not easy” - Oh BOO FUCKEN HOO!!

This tells me that she is genuinely worried. This early in the campaign she uses the gender card, the crying beat down woman, particularly since the “focus groups” said she was a cold calculating person. People see through her crap, they are not falling for her bullshit.
So she stages this fake ass crying moment, amazing!!

But….BUT don’t be fooled you will see more crap like this post (Hillary Chokes Back Tears, Wins (My) Respect) spring up later today and down the campaign road.

This is just too funny!!!

US state of New Jersey mulls slavery apology

Wednesday, January 2nd, 2008

newark.jpg

From The Raw Story

The US state of New Jersey is to weigh apologizing for its role in the slave trade, under a bill to be considered by lawmakers Thursday, more than 200 years after the state abolished the practice. If approved, the bill would make New Jersey the fifth US state to issue such an apology but the first among the northern anti-slavery states that formed the Union side in the US civil war from 1861-1865.

The text of the bill “expresses New Jersey’s profound regret for its role in slavery and apologizes for wrongs inflicted by slavery and its after effects in the United States.”

The “slave states” of Alabama, Maryland, North Carolina and Virginia apologized last year for their slave-trading past. Maryland, however, fought on the northern side in the war.

New Jersey became the last northern state to abolish slavery in 1804, but the gradual law meant that the practice was not completely eradicated there until 1846, while slavery was not officially abolished nationwide until 1865.

Former (Black) president Bill Clinton expressed his “regrets” over the US role in the slave trade and President George W. Bush described it as “one of the greatest crimes of history,” but there has never been an official US government apology.

I’m sorry but I can’t pass up a chance to post ridiculous nonsense like politicians and gubments issuing these jackass apologies for slavery.
I found this particular proposed apology from New Jersey particularly amusing.
One of the most crime ridden, drug infested ghetto cesspools of Negrodom areas in the country will take the time to apologize for slavery while operating one of the most corrupt state gubments in the country.
Clean the fucken streets, educate and find black folks jobs. I’m so sick of these bullshit pandering apologies. I’m sure some crazy old Negro activist is pushing this, only old tired former civil rights retreads find these asinine slavery apologies heart warming.
Our own idiot fuck Senator Sam Brownback promised such a resolution if he were president.
Yes liberal black folks like to be pandered too, throw dem a few bones and some figurative political table scraps and any liberal politician can guarantee winning some votes.
But I still say if you people want to send me a gubment check for my “non” participation in slavery, shit I’ll take it. The Negro part of my background will appreciate it.

Congressional Dems Vote Yes on Ramadan, No on Christmas

Thursday, December 13th, 2007

20.jpg

Found via Moonbattery

Not all Democrats in Congress bother to be subtle about their hostility toward our culture, and their eagerness to pander to those who share that hostility.A few weeks ago Congress passed a resolution recognizing the brutal terrorist cult Islam as “one of the great religions of the world” and honoring Ramadan. It passed unanimously.

Then came a resolution with similar wording, honoring Christmas, and decrying violence against Christians around the world. Nine Congresskooks were bold enough in their depravity to vote against it:

  • Gary Ackerman (D-NY)
  • Yvette Clarke (D-NY)
  • Diana DeGette (D-CO)
  • Alcee Hastings (D-FL)
  • Barbara Lee (D-CA)
  • Jim McDermott (D-WA)
  • Robert Scott (D-VA)
  • Pete Stark (D-CA)
  • Lynn Woolsey (D-CA)

Ten others voted “present”; here’s a surprise: one of them (Mike Pence of Indiana) isn’t a Democrat.

Presumably all of these characters have more Christians in their districts than Muslims. Whoever they’re representing, it isn’t the misguided voters who put them in office.

On tips from V the K and Cheetah. Hat tip: Michelle Malkin.

Y’all know I’m very much a Republican and I have ranted often about how screwed up Democrats are and why all of us Republicans need to work hard at keeping as many of these Democrat jackasses out of office as possible.

I heard Tom Brokaw on a radio interview talking about how we need to abandon partisan politics and come together in peace and harmony put our political positions aside for the sake of the nation.
Is Tom on crack? Seriously, is there anyone out there reading this post that actually thinks that abandoning YOUR political ideology and core principals is a good thing? And substitute them for what?

Let me tell you, the notion that I could somehow, alter my political leaning to become more “tolerant” of Democrats and their views “for the sake of the nation” is just retarded.

The post above is one of many examples of why I find the majority of liberal Democrats repugnant.
Democrats routinely sacrifice the safety, security and core American values that make this nation great, simply for political gain. Democrats actually take pride in; bashing and maligning our military, attacking core Christian values, catering to elements that actively seek to destroy this nation i.e. wiping the collective asses of radical Islamic types.
Democrats are proficient in promoting race baiting politics, poverty pimping, loathing capitalism; they fight harder to protect American trees rather than the American people, they actually believe we are not taxed enough and they are successful at promoting the notion that they and only they are the champions of promoting civil rights and
Democrats have a perpetual hard on for increasing bureaucracy.

I don’t know about you, but I want Democrats to lose, I want them relegated to the back of the political ideological bus forever.
Tom Brokaw and anyone else preaching this political reconciliation bullshit needs to start paying attention to the stupid shit Democrats say and do every damm day.

“Support Wanes in House for Genocide Vote”

Wednesday, October 17th, 2007

clowns1.jpgFrom Fausta’s Blog

says the NYT

“Turkey obviously feels they are getting poked in the eye over something that happened a century ago, and maybe this isn’t a good time to be doing that,” said Representative Allen Boyd, a Florida Democrat who dropped his sponsorship of the resolution Monday night.

Mind you, Congress has waited decades for this gesture over the Armenian Genocide; the Ottoman Empire committed genocide nearly a century ago, for decades the Turkish government has spent millions of dollars trying to obscure that fact, and Nancy Pelosi and the Dems in Congress wait until now to bring up a resolution.

Where was Nancy when Bill Clinton also worked to block an Armenian genocide resolution from passing the House? (h/t Sister Toldjah) She’s been in Congress since 1987. Why wait 20 years?

Hot Air also has: Did Hill kill the Armenia bill?

Breaking News: Hillary Pledges to End War “Immediately” Upon Taking Office

Tuesday, October 16th, 2007

hillpander.jpgThis is from the liberal blog Firedoglake I follow politics quite a bit, maybe too closely sometimes. I would never ever consider voting for Hillary Rodham under any circumstances; in fact out of all of the political candidates on both sides of the political fence Hillary would be at the bottom of my list.

I was already familiar with Hillary’s socialist crap and I already knew that Hillary would say and do anything to get the presidency, but the more I read about her the more I am concerned at the prospect of her presidency and what it would do to this country.

Now it’s one thing for someone to challenge my opinion of her based on her political positions versus my favorite candidate Thompson or any other Republican, but I doubt any liberal supporting her can tell me where she stands on anything.
Nobody knows what the bitches position is on any damm thing, and that is intentional.
She totally counts on her supporters ignoring the truth about her.

Now although Hillary’s comments in the post are not earth shattering it is another example of her comments being in direct contrast to what she has already said in other public forums.
Her political pandering is unlike anything I have ever witnessed. This bitch is crazy.

I can’t wait until we get down to the final two candidates where she is going to be forced to answer for all of this crazy shit.
You people who are planning to vote for this crazy bitch need psychiatric help.
No rational person who is paying attention to her crazy shit and her daily morphing political stances can in good conscious say a Rodham presidency would be good for this nation.

Blog Post

Every year I go to a fundraiser luncheon sponsored by group called Eleanor Roosevelt’s Legacy Committee. It’s a group that raises money, recruits and trains Democratic women candidates and give campaign grants to those running in New York.Hillary Clinton has been a patron of this organization from the beginning, and is often the keynote speaker. As you can imagine, the lunch this year was Hill chillin’ with her homegirls. So, maybe it made her let down her guard? Or maybe she recognized that a group of politically active NY Dems is no place to advocate for residual troops, or maybe the polling after the last debate convinced her that being Joe Lieberman light is not playing well? Who knows?

What I do know, is that I heard her say that she would end the Iraq war immediately upon taking office. Lots of heads snapped up when she said that (and there was plenty of applause, even a little whooping) and the very politically plugged in person sitting next to me remarked that the statement was “completely new”. She went on to say that the troops had already done everything they had been asked to do: got rid of Saddam, created a situation where elections could take place, surged to create political stability so the elected Iraqi government could do some legislating and work out a political solution (which she said they have not done) and that it was unfair to ask our troops to stay in Iraq and “play referee to an Iraqi civil war.” She said there is no military solution.

I’m not a Hillary watcher, so somebody in the comments may want to contradict that, but it certainly is the first time I’ve heard that and is very different than what I heard her say in the last debate.

Some of the big applause lines were:

  • She said she would “take the tax subsidies away form the oil companies, they don’t need them anymore’ and use that money to create a strategic alternative energy reserve.
  • On pledging to change our posture and direction vis a vis other countries: “You can’t lead if no one is following.”
  • “They say we can’t be both secure and free. Yes we can, by following the Constitution.”
  • And she spent many minutes body slamming Bush on No Child Left Behind and for vetoing SCHIP.

Harry Reid Less Popular Than George Bush In Nevada

Monday, October 15th, 2007

harryreid.jpg

From Captains Quarters

I just left the great state of Nevada, so the latest polling by the Las Vegas Review-Journal has a special appeal to me. Harry Reid’s high-profile leadership of the Democratic Party has impressed the folks back home, but not in the way that Reid would prefer. He now scores lower favorabilty ratings than George Bush, and his negatives go higher than Hillary Clinton’s (via Memeorandum):

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid’s appeal among Nevadans has plunged dramatically in a new Review-Journal poll, which finds him viewed unfavorably by most likely voters in his home state. …The poll asked 625 likely voters from around the state whether they recognized a politician’s name, and if so, if they had a favorable, unfavorable or neutral opinion of that person. The survey carries a margin of error of plus or minus 4 percentage points.Reid’s favorable rating was 32 percent, compared with 51 percent unfavorable and 15 percent neutral. Gibbons was viewed favorably by 30 percent, Bush by 34 percent.

The Review-Journal last asked Nevadans their opinion of Reid in early May. At that time, he was seen favorably by 46 percent and unfavorably by 42 percent.

Reid can breathe a sigh of relief that he doesn’t face re-election for another two years. The numbers for Reid would indicate that he might not even survive a primary challenge, let alone a re-election general election. The trend also gives Reid a big problem for a man who ran as a more conservative Democrat and who has now alienated most of the constituencies that elected him.

Bush backs Mexico, rapist-murderer

Tuesday, October 9th, 2007

Jose Medellin confessed in 1993 to participating in the rape and murder of two Houston teenagers. Jennifer Ertman and Elizabeth Pena were sodomized and strangled with their shoe laces. Medellin bragged about keeping one girl’s Mickey Mouse watch as a souvenir of the crime.Medellin and four others were convicted of capital murder and sent to Texas’ death row. A juvenile court sentenced Medellin’s younger brother, who was 14 at the time, to 40 years in prison.

The intervention in the case by the Bush administration comes after the International Court of Justice found Medellin was not informed of his right to contact the Mexican Consulate for legal assistance.

That, according to the Hague, was a violation of a 1963 treaty known as the Vienna Convention.

Read the rest here

From the blog: The Parks Report

It’s sad that we go out of our way to observe the rights of Medellin, while forgetting that he more than denied his victims any kind of rights while they were gang raped for an hour before they were killed.

How many more Americans need be victimized by criminals just so the Mexican government can enjoy the social safety valve called the US-Mexico border? They just send us their poor, their undesirables; our people are robbed, raped, murdered, killed by drunk drivers, and our taxes are sucked up by people who now expect and demand we support them.

Enough of the technicalities. Get em’ outta here.

Dem Thuggery Directed Toward Talk Radio

Tuesday, October 9th, 2007

waxman.jpgI’m not gonna dwell on this too much because most of you could care less, but when people tell me that there is no difference between Democrats and Republicans I cringe because anybody who tells me that simply is not paying attention.

Yes I understand the illusions put forth by certain individuals from each party confuse the masses and sometimes blurs that line between the two parties. Like a liberal putting a moderate face on an issue to appease his or her constituents or a camouflaged “conservative” who is really a closet gay liberal *coughCraigcough* because he comes from redneck land and they don’t take too kindly to “dem homo sexual types.”

But this is the kind of things that matter to me, dangerous people like Rep. Henry Waxman. Ignore this kind of lunacy at your own peril.
Say you don’t give a fuck because there are more important things, but to say that this behavior is ok or acceptable then this country is more fucked up than I thought.

from Rush

Rep. Henry Waxman has asked his investigative staff to begin compiling reports on Limbaugh, and fellow radio hosts Sean Hannity and Mark Levin based on transcripts from their shows, and to call in Federal Communications Commission chairman Kevin Martin to discuss the so-called ‘Fairness Doctrine.’

‘Limbaugh isn’t the only one who needs to be made uncomfortable about what he says on the radio,’ says a House leadership source. ‘We don’t have as big a megaphone as these guys, but this [is] all political, and we’ll do what we can to gain the advantage. If we can take them off their game for a while, it will help our folks out there on the campaign trail.’”

So what does this mean? It means that Henry Waxman, who runs the government oversight committee, has officially, or is going to, begin investigations of me and Hannity and Levin. He is going to have his staff, paid for with your tax dollars, listen to these programs and review transcripts and report back to him. For what? Irregularities that they might hear on this program? What do we have here, folks? Henry Waxman believes that Congress, and his committee in particular, has, as its jurisdiction, the control of content of the airwaves in this country? He wants to use his position — he wants to use the Democrat Party and the power of government — to control speech content. Now, we’ve had people throwing the word “patriotism” around here. Forget the word “patriotism.”

Have you ever heard of anything as un-American as this? These are the same people who are trying to destroy Bush’s spy program to catch terrorists in the act before they commit the act, as “spying on innocent Americans.” It’s unfair; it’s violating civil rights. They want all these ex-White House officials to come up and talk about this. Yet the very same people, Waxman and his bunch, have instructed the “investigators on his staff” to monitor this program. The Constitution prohibits this. It specifically prohibits this. You know, I honestly believe Henry Waxman would be just as comfortable as a hack member of the Venezuelan parliament working side by side with Hugo Chavez. It’s a puppet operation down there, the parliament is.

More here: Dem Thuggery Directed Toward Talk Radio

This is political hardball being played at the street level. The Democrat controlled Congress is putting conservative talk radio hosts on notice that unless they mute their criticism, they may very well find themselves out of a job sometime soon.

Phony Soldiers? A Phony Story Is More Like It.

Friday, September 28th, 2007

liberalmedia_animation_sm.gifHave you heard about the latest “controversy” involving Rush Limbaugh that has been made up from scratch by Media Matters and relentlessly promoted by the left side of the blogosphere? Well, no worries, I’ll tell you all about it.Here’s what Media Matters is claiming Rush Limbaugh said, Limbaugh: Service members who support U.S. withdrawal are “phony soldiers.”

Now, you might actually conclude from reading that headline that Rush Limbaugh said that, Service members who support U.S. withdrawal are “phony soldiers.”

Actually, he didn’t.

Once again, here’s the headline, from Media Matters,

Limbaugh: Service members who support U.S. withdrawal are “phony soldiers.”

Continue reading here what Rush Limbaugh actually said, during a conversation with a caller. Also go to his site Rushlimbaugh.com if you REALLY give a shit.

More: Background Material…

Seattle Post Intelligencer: Poster soldier for anti-war movement was a fake
RCP: Winter Soldier Syndrome - Michelle Malkin
Hot Air: Jesse Macbeth: I admit it, I’m a filthy liar
AP: 8-month sentence for man who lied about Iraq fighting
Feds nab VA cheaters in ‘Operation Stolen Valor’

But first My two cents:

Ah hell I was not sure I wanted to post this, but since dude on Right Wing did a piece on this “phony” outrage, I figured my Poop readers should get the 411.

You know while on one hand I really getting tired of Media Matters and their blatant distortion of the facts on shit they have on their site, I kinda understand why they do what they do and why they are so successful at smear.

I heard on Rush’s show some of the comments made by some liberal Democrats denouncing what Rush said, I always have to remind myself that Democrats and liberals are never interested in truth, it’s simply about winning and Media Matters knows that the majority of their kook constituents only priority is getting their people in office at all costs.

Now don’t get me wrong, the purpose of this blog is to post stuff that interests me and my political views and yes, I want “my side to win.”
But I have never knowingly posted 411 here that I knew was bullshit just so I can make a fucking cheep political point.

Democrats must use deception to stay in power, but the scary thing is it works like a charm.
I’m dumbfounded at how many websites posted bullshit about O’Reilly and how they took his comments out of context when after reading further, few if any actually read or heard the comments themselves.

I’m perplexed at the vast differences in simple logic between the right blogsphere and the left.
Blogger on the right, in most cases go out of their way to get to the bottom of a story or issue and actively seek to get as much firm details on an issue as possible and the rarely comment and post shit unless they have their fucken facts straight.

Media Matters has these crackpot liberals by the mental ballz. It’s apparent that liberals can’t process information unless it has been pissed on by Media Matters.

Here are a few examples:

(link) Media Matters for America is calling attention to a Rush Limbaugh rant from his show on Wednesday in which he dismisses U.S. troops, including those now serving in Iraq, who disagree with President Bush’s stay-until-victory strategy as “phony soldiers.”
And my colleague Jeff Fecke at Blog of the Moderate Left wonders whether those, including Sen. Norm Coleman, who were outraged by the MoveOn.org ad that was insufficiently respectful toward Gen. David Petraeus, will bring equal energy to denouncing Limbaugh for being insufficiently respectful toward some of the troops.

*********

(link) Following the MoveOn non-controversy, some of our local dingbats went on a largely unnoticed mini-crusade to get WA-08 Congressional candidate Darcy Burner to condemn the anti-war organization’s ad. Now that Rush Limbaugh has said something that was considerably more offensive to our men and women in uniform, we’re certain that Mark Gardner and the rest of the fair and balanced wingnutosphere will demand WA-08 Congressman Dave Reichert condemn Limbaugh’s remarks.

****

Will Norm Coleman denounce Rush Limbaugh for “phony soldiers” comment?
*******

Pallone Blasts Rush Limbaugh, Implies Republicans are Hypocrites

Earlier today Republican hero and recovering drug addict Rush Limbaugh slandered thousands of American soldiers who are risking their lives overseas as “phony soldiers.” Why? Solely because they question the rationale for the Iraq War.

*****

(link) How about leading conservative host Rush Limbaugh, a man who has regularly interviewed the president, vice-president, and numerous other conservative Republican luminaries?

During the September 26 broadcast of his nationally syndicated radio show, Rush Limbaugh called service members who advocate U.S. withdrawal from Iraq “phony soldiers.”

From the DCCC:

Chairman Chris Van Hollen Condemns Rush Limbaugh’s Outrageous Comment that Soldiers Who Support Withdrawing From Iraq Are “Phony Soldiers”

“Rush Limbaugh’s personal attack on our men and women in uniform is reprehensible. It minimizes the sacrifice our troops in Iraq and their families are making and has no place in the public discourse. Rush Limbaugh owes our military and their families an apology for his hurtful comments that minimize their service to our country.”

******

(link) John Amato: “I’m calling on the Senate to pass an amendment or uphold their latest one and condemn Rush Limbaugh’s cowardly acts on our troops! Soldiers from the 82nd Airborne in Iraq wrote a NY Times op-ed—criticizing the war in Iraq, and had the bravery to suggest that it was time to develop an exit strategy. Two of them just died. Are they phonies, Rush? Where’s the “sense of the Senate” on this outrage?

Let me be clear, I don’t give a shit that you oppose the U.S. being in Iraq, or oppose our Middle East policy, or how we use our troops or what our military priorities should be.
When I read lefty blog I’m interested in the discourse many provide and of course I don’t agree with much of it, but I think it’s important for me to be knowledgeable on issues and to remain grounded in my viewpoints I have an obligation (to myself) to be informed, understand and comprehend opposing viewpoints without filters. Whether it’s Media Matters or the MSM, John Stewart, Keith Olberman on the left, Newsbusters, Rush, O’Reilly on the right.
Especially since I dedicate so much time keeping up this paltry blog

Through my extensive blog reading on the right and left, watching the MSM, watching a lot of You Tube and taking in countless other political information sources I have a pretty fair grasp on the world around me and one thing that Rush taught me when I first started listening to his show (from day one) and why no other on air pundit comes close to him is he encourages his listeners to seek out the truth. Don’t simply take his word on issues, read and hear the bullshit on the left for yourself.
You should never be afraid at seeking opposing viewpoints and listening to opposing viewpoints.
This is why people who say they don’t watch Fox News are cowards and tells you everything you need to know about them intellectually.
I would never EVER, encourage anyone NOT to listen to a MSM network,  a liberal talk show host, or a source like the NY Times, it’s not even logical.

Far too many people are just too fucken lazy to seek the truth on issues and choose to allow their minds to be filtered.

This is not about “standing up for” Rush, dude is a fucken multi-millionaire, he could care less what I think.

This is about simple honesty. If the goal of the left and lefty blogsphere is simply to WIN then by all means distort, lie, manipulate, conceal. Ignorance is obviously bliss in the liberal world.

Protest Set For Racial Beating Case

This is one of the few times I agree with Jessie Jackson. Hussein is acting like a pussy. I have read in great detail about this issue and these black kids are being fucked. Hussein should have been on the first flight down there to take a stand on the issue.
The fact that he is not doing or saying jack says volumes.

Remember Hussein is the man who helped raise money for a former KKK and current nigga hating Democrat Senator Robert Byrd.
The man is gutless.

obama11.jpg(link) The Rev. Jesse Jackson called Tuesday on Democrats seeking the 2008 nomination for president to give S.C. voters “something to vote for” when they go to the polls in January.

On a statewide tour to register new voters, Jackson said South Carolina will determine “who has momentum” in the primary when it votes Jan. 29.

Jackson sharply criticized presidential hopeful and Illinois Sen. Barack Obama for “acting like he’s white” in what Jackson said has been a tepid response to six black juveniles’ arrest on attempted-murder charges in Jena, La. Jackson, who also lives in Illinois, endorsed Obama in March, according to The Associated Press.

“If I were a candidate, I’d be all over Jena,” Jackson said after an hour-long speech at Columbia’s historically black Benedict College.

“Jena is a defining moment, just like Selma was a defining moment,” said the iconic civil rights figure, who worked with Martin Luther King Jr. in the 1965 Selma civil rights movement and was with King at his 1968 assassination.

Later, Jackson said he did not recall making the “acting like he’s white” comment about Obama, stressing he only wanted to point out the candidates had not seized on an opportunity to highlight the disproportionate criminal punishments black youths too often face.

Jackson also said Obama, who consistently has placed second in state and national polls behind New York Sen. Hillary Clinton, must be “bolder” in his political positions if he is to erase Clinton’s lead.

Jackson is the only African-American ever to carry South Carolina in a presidential primary election.

Obama’s South Carolina campaign pointed to a statement it released last week in which Obama called on the local Louisiana district attorney to drop the excessive charges brought in the case.

“When nooses are being hung in high schools in the 21st century, it’s a tragedy,” the Obama statement said. “It shows that we still have a lot of work to do as a nation to heal our racial tensions.”

Thousands from across the country, including some from Columbia, are expected to converge on the small town of Jena today to protest the “Jena 6” arrests.

Jackson told the 500 to 600 students in his audience at Benedict that “criminal injustice,” instead of a rope, is the pressing civil rights issue of their day, but that voting remained their strongest ally.

“Your fight is not about ropes, it’s about hope,” Jackson said, blasting the flood of guns and violence he said permeates many black communities.

Civil rights, he said, has become the counterculture of the day rather than the prevailing culture. “You can’t call on the Justice Department anymore; it’s not there.”

Jackson, who became only the second major black candidate to run for president, won five primaries in his 1984 bid for the office, then 11 primaries and nearly 7 million votes in his 1988 run.

He said the 2008 presidential candidates must speak most directly to the pressing S.C. issues of housing, high tuition costs, health care and a plan to end the war in Iraq.

“The candidates have got to speak to South Carolina,” said Jackson, who was traveling also to S.C. State University in Orangeburg and to Charleston Tuesday evening before wrapping up his registration drive tonight in Aiken.

obamakkk.jpgA Greenville native, Jackson said he hoped to register thousands of new voters during the statewide swing, which began Saturday in Rock Hill.

“Their votes must equal change,” he said, referring to residents in a state where only 1 in 4 eligible voters go to the polls. “I want to make sure the right agenda is being voted on in 2008.”

His approach worked for senior mass-communications major Darius Dior Porcher, 21, who graduated from famed Scotts Branch High School in Clarendon County, which produced the Briggs v. Elliott school desegregation case of 1954.

“The main thing when you speak to students is to get them to move,” Porcher said. “He moved students today. He got them to come down to the floor and register to vote.”

“Oh Snoop, you’re wrong about Ron Paul”

Sunday, September 9th, 2007

ronpaul2a.jpg

Now this really is no big deal because Ron Paul is not a legitimate candidate for President.
However I knew dude was not right upstairs and was kinda creepy, so this old article is not a shock.
Frankly a lot of white political folks think like he does, they are just not stupid enough to publish their idiot racist bullshit.

GOP hopeful quoted on race, crime - Link

Texas congressional candidate Ron Paul’s 1992 political newsletter highlighted portrayals of blacks as inclined toward crime and lacking sense about top political issues.

Under the headline of “Terrorist Update,” for instance, Paul reported on gang crime in Los Angeles and commented, “If you have ever been robbed by a black teen-aged male, you know how unbelievably fleet-footed they can be.”

Paul, a Republican obstetrician from Surfside, said Wednesday he opposes racism and that his written commentaries about blacks came in the context of “current events and statistical reports of the time.”

Selected writings by Paul were distributed Wednesday by the campaign of his Democratic opponent, Austin lawyer Charles “Lefty” Morris.

Morris said many of Paul’s views are “out there on the fringe” and that his commentaries will be judged by voters in the November general elections.

Paul said allegations about his writings amounted to name-calling by the Democrats and that his opponents should focus instead on how to shrink government spending and reform welfare.

Morris and Paul are seeking the 14th Congressional District seat held by Greg Laughlin of West Columbia. Laughlin lost the Republican primary to Paul, a former congressman and the Libertarian Party’s 1988 presidential candidate.

Paul, writing in his independent political newsletter in 1992, reported about unspecified surveys of blacks.

“Opinion polls consistently show that only about 5 percent of blacks have sensible political opinions, i.e. support the free market, individual liberty and the end of welfare and affirmative action,”Paul wrote.

Paul continued that politically sensible blacks are outnumbered “as decent people.” Citing reports that 85 percent of all black men in the District of Columbia are arrested, Paul wrote:

“Given the inefficiencies of what D.C. laughingly calls the `criminal justice system,’ I think we can safely assume that 95 percent of the black males in that city are semi-criminal or entirely criminal,” Paul said.

Paul also wrote that although “we are constantly told that it is evil to be afraid of black men, it is hardly irrational. Black men commit murders, rapes, robberies, muggings and burglaries all out of proportion to their numbers.”

A campaign spokesman for Paul said statements about the fear of black males mirror pronouncements by black leaders such as the Rev. Jesse Jackson, who has decried the spread of urban crime.

Paul continues to write the newsletter for an undisclosed number of subscribers, the spokesman said.

Writing in the same 1992 edition, Paul expressed the popular idea that government should lower the age at which accused juvenile criminals can be prosecuted as adults.

He added, “We don’t think a child of 13 should be held responsible as a man of 23. That’s true for most people, but black males age 13 who have been raised on the streets and who have joined criminal gangs are as big, strong, tough, scary and culpable as any adult and should be treated as such.”

Paul also asserted that “complex embezzling” is conducted exclusively by non-blacks.

“What else do we need to know about the political establishment than that it refuses to discuss the crimes that terrify Americans on grounds that doing so is racist? Why isn’t that true of complex embezzling, which is 100 percent white and Asian?” he wrote.

In later newsletters, Paul aimed criticism at the Israeli government’s U.S. lobbying efforts and reported allegations that President Clinton used cocaine and fathered illegitimate children.

Stating that lobbying groups who seek special favors and handouts are evil, Paul wrote, “By far the most powerful lobby in Washington of the bad sort is the Israeli government” and that the goal of the Zionist movement is to stifle criticism.

Relaying a rumor that Clinton was a longtime cocaine user, Paul wrote in 1994 that the speculation “would explain certain mysteries” about the president’s scratchy voice and insomnia.

“None of this is conclusive, of course, but it sure is interesting,” he said.

New Orleans Mayor May Run for Governor

Thursday, September 6th, 2007

.nagin2c.jpg

NEW ORLEANS (AP - Link) — Mayor Ray Nagin could be days away from announcing he will run for governor of Louisiana — a move many in this stricken city regard as preposterous. If Nagin runs, he will do so on his stewardship of New Orleans. But this is a city in great distress two years after Hurricane Katrina, with large swaths still empty, an appalling murder rate and a painfully sluggish recovery. Nagin’s disapproval rating stood at 65 percent in a recent poll.

*****

I saw this in a news headline and I thought it was a fucken joke.

This has got to be the most unbelievable crazy shit I have seen in politics, if it happens.
I swear to God this can’t be real, this idiot ass nigga fuck can’t possible be contemplating taking on a governorship when he can’t even get his head out of his ass on the situation in NOLA.

The sad thing is, if he runs, he will actually be competitive, a whole bunch of retarded ass Negros would actually vote for this fool, not to mention that Louisiana is corrupt enough politically that this is a possibility.

I’m just speechless, what the fuck can you say about this, either dude has been smoking too much crack or he is mildly retarded and he is clueless as to the situation in NOLA.

Craig Reconsiders Decision to Resign

Wednesday, September 5th, 2007

craig3.jpgI’ve been too busy laughing at this mess to say what I really think. Captain Ed’s previous post on this issue focused on the central issue, why throw Craig under the bus and leave Vitter alone.

Frankly this is Republican hypocrisy, and what they are doing to dude is despicable.
Normally I have little sympathy for old white dudes, particularly old white politicians because they operate in their own little world and portray themselves as being above society.

Craig should not resign, he should just say fuckem, he should force the Republicans to boot his ass out and make these hypocritical pricks go on the record in condemning him.

Now don’t get me wrong, soliciting sex from a toilet bowl is creepy, and Craig himself is a fucken hypocrite too, with his “Clinton is a bad boy” comments. But frankly all of these old white dudes are a bunch of crooked, conniving sexual deviants.
The Republican Party will not be able to govern effectively until the entire old guard moron posse is (flushed), out by the voters.

BOISE, Idaho (AP) - One of Sen. Larry Craig’s lawyers said Wednesday the Senate has no business looking into the conduct of one of its own following Craig’s guilty plea in connection with an airport men’s room sex sting.

An unbroken line of precedents dating back 220 years makes clear the Senate does not consider misdemeanor private conduct to be a fit subject of inquiry, asserted Washington attorney Stan Brand.

“We ought to seek to have the committee dismiss this outright,” Brand said of a Senate ethics panel’s investigation. “The Republican leadership called for an ethics investigation that had nothing to do with his office,” said Brand on NBC’s “Today” show.

Craig says he may still fight for his Senate seat, a spokesman says - if the lawmaker can clear his name with the Senate ethics panel and a Minnesota court.

The Republican lawmaker, who has represented Idaho for 27 years, announced Saturday that he intended to resign.

“It’s not such a foregone conclusion anymore that the only thing he could do was resign,” Sidney Smith, Craig’s spokesman in Idaho’s capital, told The Associated Press on Tuesday.

“We’re still preparing as if Senator Craig will resign Sept. 30, but the outcome of the legal case in Minnesota and the ethics investigation will have an impact on whether we’re able to stay in the fight - and stay in the Senate,” Smith said.   (more)

Internet Could Have Saved Larry Craig

Friday, August 31st, 2007

 blackboard2.jpg

I found the following on Talking Points Memo, via Outside the Beltway.

C’mon people; is it me, or is this society getting cruder, morally bankrupt and just plain sicker each and every damm day.
I swear until this Craig mess I had no clue about this sicko culture of bathroom perusing fudge packing creeps.
Noooooo, going to a nice bar and having a normal conversation with the hook-up of your choice whether opposite sex or same sex is apparently not enough.
The lure of inhaling the stench of human excrement and the hand touching of another nasty ass germ infested bathroom troll is I guess the new aphrodisiac.

As this post does point out, that God for the internet, the masses can at least be aware of, avoid and be on the lookout for society’s biggest weirdoes.

According to an article in today’s Minneapolis-St. Paul Star Tribune, more avid web readership might have saved Sen. Larry Craig’s (R-ID) career.

As a number of TPM Reader/Google sleuths have been telling us, there are sites out there that rate different public sex bathrooms around the country. One of them sounds sort of like it’s the Zagat’s of gay public restroom sex. And that bathroom at the Minneapolis airport is like the Spago of sex bathrooms.

In any case, this from the Strib reporters …

Another Web site lists Twin Cities-area malls, parks, health clubs and even a “cruisy toilet” at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds. Many postings list the best times to go and give graphic reviews of the venues. An airport bathroom, specifically one near a shoeshine stand behind the ticket counter, generated the most comments until Web-site users posted warnings in June that men were getting arrested there. Craig was arrested shortly after noon on June 11 in the main men’s public restroom of the North Star Crossing in the Lindbergh Terminal.

It’s not clear from the article exactly which review web site they’re referring to or whether the warnings about the sting showed up in advance of Craig’s June 11th arrest. But it seems that closer scrutiny of the web and available ratings sites could have kept Craig from his rendezvous with destiny.

Bush pulls a Hillary on housing???

Friday, August 31st, 2007

debt.JPGYa know liberals may find this hard to believe, but I am so damm sick of Shrub I can’t stand it.
So you mean to tell me now that to save his already tarnished image this idiot going to turn into a socialist and start patting people on the head and say the gubment is here to help you.

“Anybody who loses their home is somebody with whom we must show enormous empathy,”

Sure buy a home you can’t possible afford in the first place and when reality sets in have the gubment bail you out.

The same people who bitch and moan about folks being on welfare are equally  happy to hold out their hands when they are financially screwed.

I have a beautiful home, two new cars, a swimming pool, a boat; I even belong to the country club. My kids go to the best schools and lookie here at my new big screen TV.
But I have one problem, I’m in debt up to my eyeballs, Mr. Bush plez help me!

Does this look like a Hillary-style housing bailout? Because it is walking and talking and quacking like one:

Offering federal help for strapped mortgage holders, President Bush is proposing to aid hundreds of thousands of borrowers hard hit by the housing slump.

The president on Friday was to talk about several initiatives and reforms to help homeowners with risky mortgages keep their homes, a senior administration official said Thursday. Bush also was to discuss efforts to prevent these kinds of problems from arising in the future.
