Lowe’s “nanny scam” Gate

Tuesday, April 15th, 2008

Ok I’ll admit I have paid no attention to this, although I knew about it.
I’m checking out the Today Show and when I hear this story come on and then when I hear perpetual ambulance chaser, super scam lawyer Gloria Alred’s irritating voice I perked up.
You don’t even have to listen to the conversation, just look at the face of the “nanny scammer” and that stupid little smirk on her face.
You can see her day dreaming dollar signs.

Meredith asks: “Why did you stay?” “because I loved the children” Fucken liar!
I’m so sick of these scamming extortion skanks claim that they have been “traumatized” and go out and hire a camera whore like Alred who remember represented that idiot tramp heather Mills.

Media Ignore Al Gore’s Financial Ties to Global Warming

Friday, October 12th, 2007

algorebill.jpgAh as we celebrate Gore triumphant Nobel Prize scam victory, I went back in my blog link archives to find this old piece from Newsbusters.

As NewsBusters reported here, here, and here, there are huge dollars to be made from global warming alarmism. However, conceivably no one is better positioned to financially benefit from this scam than Dr. Global Warming himself, former Vice President Al Gore, a fact that the media will surely not share with Americans any time soon.Yet, if America’s press would take some time out of their busy schedules covering the earth-shattering details surrounding Anna Nicole Smith’s demise, they might find a deliciously inconvenient truth about the soon-to-be-Dr. Gore that is significantly more fascinating and diabolical than anything likely to emerge from that courtroom in Broward County, Florida.

As reported by Dan Riehl, good post.

Nobel Prize scam victory

Friday, October 12th, 2007

gore3.gif

Former Vice President Al Gore and the U.N.’s climate change panel won the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize on Friday for spreading awareness of man-made climate change and laying the foundations for counteracting it.

Ya know as much as I have bitched about the scam that is “global warming” I have to admire Al Gores cunning and guile.
On one of the evening news broadcast last night some dude mentioned that Gore would win this award, no shit, but he mentioned that Gore had been working on climate change initiatives for over 30 years!

Did people forget that dude was vice president for 8 years and while in office he didn’t do shit about “global warming?” It was only after he got fat, was miserable and was depressed because of his loss to G Dub that he started making this a “serious” issue.

Because he convinced millions of knuckleheads, that we were about to die, and that the world would end if we did not stop driving SUV’s and purchased hybrid cars he single-handedly has pulled off one of the biggest scams in history and won a Nobel for his efforts.

All this tells me is that winning the Nobel Prize is not that big of a deal. If a slug like Gore can win it, well fuck anybody can win it, except for the ranting Negro on this blog.

Shamnesty Watch: Waffling over the DREAM Act

Friday, September 21st, 2007

Also from Malkin

Here’s the latest from Numbers USA on the grass-roots campaign to kill the illegal alien DREAM Act amnesty:

shamnestykill1.jpgSenate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) has not announced when a vote will occur on the DREAM Act amnesty amendment (now SA 2919). Reid did announce, however, that no more votes will occur this week, and that the Senate will hold only one vote today on an unrelated defense matter. In other words, any potential vote on SA 2919 will not occur until next week.

It will take 41 NO votes to kill this amnesty. Currently, only 21 Senators are telling their constituents that they will vote NO on the amnesty.

Here are the wafflers who voted no on the illegal alien shamnesty bill in June, but have not yet pledged to vote no on the DREAM Act amnesty.

Phone them by contacting the Senate switchboard at 202-224-3121.

Alaska: Murkowski, Stevens
Arkansas: Pryor
Florida: Martinez
Idaho: Crapo
Indiana: Bayh
Iowa: Grassley, Harkin
Kansas: Brownback - This is why I hate this jackass!
Louisiana: Landrieu
Maine: Collins
Michigan: Stabenow
Minnesota: Coleman
Mississippi: Cochran
Missouri: McCaskill
Montana: Baucus, Tester
Nebraska: Nelson (Ben)

Numbers USA says Sen. Cornyn is telling constituents he’s a no (which is consistent with what my readers are saying), but he is apparently not a committed no. That is also consistent with what I’ve heard from readers. Also: I contacted Sen. Cornyn’s office two days ago about his position on the DREAM Act and have yet to receive a response.

Clinton Donor Under a Cloud in Fraud Case, duh!

Thursday, August 30th, 2007

.hillaryakasopranos.jpg

Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton’s campaign said yesterday that it would give to charity $23,000 it had received from a prominent Democratic donor, and review thousands of dollars more that he had raised, after learning that the authorities in California had a warrant for his arrest stemming from a 1991 fraud case.

I was going to post more, you can read more of this crap here if you wish.
So I guess since her campaign is giving the money to charity we should just all ignore the obvious smoking guns and let this corrupt skank engage in more campaign fraud and deceit. C’mon.

Well. One of Hillary Clinton’s biggest supporters, the same one who turned up in a weird fundraising story yesterday, is officially a fugitive swindler.

The Los Angeles Times will report on this website later tonight and in Wednesday’s print editions that a major Democratic Party fundraiser named Norman Hsu is wanted by authorities for skipping out on an agreement to serve up to three years in prison after pleading no contest to grand theft swindling charges.

In an exclusive story by Chuck Neubauer and Robin Fields, The Times will report that for three years Hsu has been carving out a place of political and financial influence by funneling hundreds of thousands of dollars in campaign contributions into Democratic Party coffers, much of the money earmarked for Sen. Hillary Clinton. He has earned the ranking of Hillraiser for pledging to raise at least $100,000 for her.

He has given to several big-name Democrats, including presidential candidates Barack Obama and Joe Biden. Swimmer Kennedy, too.

“He is a fugitive,” said Ronald Smetana of the California attorney general’s office. “Do you know where he is?”

Perhaps he’s in China where the rest of the Clintons’ 1996 pals fled to.

Big Dem fundraiser wanted on swindling charges

The LA Times reports that Norman Hsu, powerful fundraiser for the Democratic party, is a wanted man “hiding in plain sight.” Declared a ‘fugitive’ by the California attorney general, Hsu is wanted for evading a jail sentence for pleading no contest to charges of grand theft swindling.

Hsu evidently faced up to three years in prison for the charge. Hsu’s lawyer, contacted Tuesday, recalls neither Hsu’s pleading to a criminal case nor facing jail time.

Over the years, Hsu has contributed to the campaigns of Dianne Feinstein, Barack Obama, Joe Biden and Edward Kennedy. His fundraising efforts for Hilary Clinton already total over $1 million. A spokesperson for the Clinton campaign said “We have no reason to call his contributions into question or to return them.”hillaryimage14.jpg

Another Top Clinton Donor Questioned

Tuesday, August 28th, 2007

hillarymarines.JPGMaintaining her tradition of shady fundraising practices, Hillary Clinton has received questionable donations from a wealthy New York businessman who has avoided contribution limits by funneling the money through associates and friends he later reimbursed. The rich businessman, Norman Hsu, is actually an official “HillRaiser” because he is one of a few hundred supporters who pledged to raise $100,000 or more for Clinton’s presidential campaign. It turns out that he has recruited friends and associates to donate thousands of dollars that they later got reimbursed for.

The illegal practice allows top donors to skirt a 2002 law that sets campaign contribution limits. For the 2008 election, individuals can give a maximum of $4,600 per candidate and a total of $108,200 per election to all federal candidates and political parties. This severely limits wealthy and influential supporters such as Hsu, a successful apparel industry businessman who has raised thousands for Clinton over the years.

Hsu and his friends have given Clinton $133,000 since 2005. On four separate dates this year Hsu, five of his associates and a blue-collar California family of modest means donated $47,500 to Clinton’s presidential campaign. The northern California family’s hefty donation is especially suspicious since it lives in a working-class suburb and is headed by a 64-year-old postal worker who earns less than $50,000 a year.

In fact, a former Federal Election Commission (FEC) official says the agency should investigate the Hsu-connected donations for violations of campaign finance laws, which specifically forbid one person from reimbursing another to make contributions.

Clinton has already been fined for violating federal election rules during her senate campaign. In response to a Judicial Watch complaint, the FEC fined the New York Senator $35,000 last year for concealing more than $700,000 in contributions during a 2000 senate fundraiser. The agency clearly needs to keep a close eye on the former First Lady.

Here is an interesting link I found via Wizbang - A rundown of some of the Clinton’s past campaign finance woes courtesy of the NYT.

Latest John Edwards scam fundraising letter

Monday, August 27th, 2007

edwardspoor.jpg.

Breaking news: Attorney General Alberto Gonzales has finally heeded the will of people like you—and resigned.

You spoke out week after week, month after month—and now, the man who oversaw a political purge of U.S. Attorneys at the Justice Department, who approved torture techniques at Guantanamo Bay and who approved illegal spying on Americans has stepped down.

This is a victory for all of us—your calls for change, your energy and your passion helped make this happen.

But as pleased as we are to see Gonzales go, the fight is far from over. While Bush has named a temporary replacement, reports are coming in that he may try to permanently replace Gonzales with another crony from his administration—someone like Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff.

That’s right—Bush may actually replace the man who brought us a political purge of U.S. Attorneys and illegal spying on Americans with the man who brought us the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.
John Edwards knows America deserves better than crony out, crony in—and if Bush tries to replace one crony with another, John will lead the fight against their nomination just like he led the calls for Gonzales to resign more than five months ago.

We need your support in this fight—just like we needed your support in the fight against Gonzales. Support the campaign that is saying “no” to crony out, crony in—make a donation today.

John knows that this ongoing debacle is only one example of how Washington is rigged for well-connected D.C. insiders and against everyone else.

edwardsdance1.GIFWe need big change to fix the way Washington D.C. works—and we won’t create that kind of change through compromise and triangulation.

Earlier this summer, we asked you to sign a petition calling on Gonzales to resign—and over 45,000 of you responded.

Now, we need your support again. Gonzales is out—but another crony may be on their way in. Help John lead the fight against crony out, crony in at the Justice Department—

make a contribution today!

Love to all –Joe Trippi

Leading Conservatives Denounce Bush on ‘North American Union’

Tuesday, August 21st, 2007

Article Link

Ottawa, Ontario (CNSNews.com) - President Bush is meeting with other world leaders in Canada this week to establish, in part, a “New World Order” that subverts national sovereignty, according to some leading American conservatives who have taken a hard stance against the president over the Security and Prosperity Partnership (SPP).President Bush is meeting in Quebec Monday and Tuesday with Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper and Mexican President Felipe Calderon to discuss the SPP, which the U.S. government’s Web site describes as a cooperative effort among Canada, the United States, and Mexico to “increase security and enhance prosperity … through greater cooperation and information sharing.”Yet Howard Phillips, chairman of the Conservative Caucus, said at a news conference in Ottawa Monday that Bush is trying to develop a “New World Order” of centralized world government controlled by super-national bureaucracies. Phillips said some of the bureaucracies already exist, including the International Monetary Fund, World Bank and United Nations.

“George Bush and his daddy [former President George H. W. Bush] have both used the term ‘New World Order.’ It was used by Woodrow Wilson. It was used by Adolf Hitler. It was used by a number of people, and the New World Order relates to the desire of many people in the world to submerge national sovereignties to international institution.” (See Video)

Other conservatives who joined Phillips at the news conference included author and columnist Jerome Corsi; John McManus, president of the John Birch Society; Tom DeWeese, president of the American Policy Center; and Bob Park, founder of Veterans for Secure Borders.

The SPP meetings (the fourth since 2005) have afforded little access to the media and no access to the general public except for leaders of some large corporations taking part in the concurrent North American Competitiveness Council. The secrecy has led activists on both sides of the political aisle to develop ideas about what might be happening behind closed doors.

Responding to protests staged in Ottawa Sunday by leftist, anti-government, anti-corporate activists, Phillips acknowledged a difference of approach. But, he said, “if we’re all firing in the same direction, let’s work together.”

Conservative author Jerome Corsi criticized supporters of the SPP for labeling opponents “conspiracy theorists.” (See Video)

“We’re the Internet black helicopter conspiracy theorists?” asked Corsi. “What’s going on over in Montebello behind closed doors? Is that not the real conspiracy?”

“Only to call us names does not answer the arguments we’re making,” he said. “We’re called names because those supporting the Security and Prosperity Partnership wish to keep their secret agenda being advanced in secret, and we’ve ruined the party by exposing it.”

Most recently, U.S. Ambassador to Canada David Wilkins called the opposition to the SPP “conspiracy theories.” In an editorial in the Ottawa Citizen Monday, Wilkins said that “while conspiracy theories abound, you can take it to the bank that no one involved in these discussions is interested in, or has ever proposed, a ‘North American Union,’ a ‘North American super highway’ or a ‘North American currency.’”

Wilkins further wrote that “security with prosperity remains the defining vision of the leaders’ meeting” and that “each [nation] will continue to protect its own interests, but it makes sense, as friends and neighbors, to sit down together and see what we might accomplish better together.”

Phillips responded by noting that Wilkins was appointed by Bush and represents an administration that “does not have a reputation for straight talking or accuracy … .” And it’s high time for the SPP organizers to “tear down the wall of silence and let the people see what you are scheming to do,” he said.

Daily Kos Co-Author Fined $30K for Unethical Stock Tout

Thursday, August 9th, 2007

stocks.jpgOn Drudge

Prominent liberal blogger Jerome Armstrong has agreed to pay nearly $30,000 in fines in a settlement with the Securities and Exchange Commission over allegations that Armstrong touted the stock of a software company, without disclosing that he was being paid to do so, the NY TIMES reports.Armstrong is the co-author of _Crashing the Gate: Netroots, Grassroots, and the Rise of People-Powered Politics,_ with Markos Moulitsas of Daily Kos. He is also the founder of the Democratic activist site MyDD.com.Under the agreement, Armstrong neither denies nor admits to the allegations.
“It’s good to see the matter finally end,” Armstrong said in an e-mail message to the TIMES.

This below found on the blog Workbench

 Jerome Armstrong Pushed Second Stock

I’ve been trying to pin down MyDD founder Jerome Armstrong’s stock-related activities in 2000, when the SEC alleges that he touted a Chinese Linux company called Bluepoint on Raging Bull without disclosing that he’d received $20,000 in stock from the company’s management.

Though Armstrong’s message board postings related to Bluepoint are no longer available on Raging Bull, I found dozens of messages on the InvestorsHub site in which he promoted a related company before a merger, never revealing he was issued 25,000 shares in the deal.

An SEC filing reveals that Armstrong received the shares in a reverse merger executed by the Chinese wireless startup AccessTel, which acquired a publicly traded online mall called Shopss.Com on Dec. 18, 2000.

From September 2000 to March 2002, Armstrong posted 95 messages using the account myDDdotcom on AccessTel’s InvestorsHub board. He predicted great potential for its technology and a big increase in price, deriding critics as “bashers.” He never mentioned his relationship with the company, which was formed by some of the same executives who created Bluepoint.

On the same day as the merger, Armstrong announced that he had just bought 250 shares of the company:

… i did DD call quite a bit this weekend, and am satisfied to continue holding, patient for their plan to become widely known. Today I just bought a whopping 250 shares in my son’s (Jackson) educational IRA that I just set up for the toddler, hope it grows as much as he is.

Before Armstrong’s SEC case went to court, he reached a December 2003 agreement with the commission to provide testimony in related investigations and never engage in stock touting. He did not admit guilt but is prohibited from denying the charges:

Defendant agrees (i) not to take any action or to make or permit to be made any public statement denying, directly or indirectly, any allegation in the complaint or creating the impression that the complaint is without factual basis …

From Riehl World View

I’ve come across a mountain of stuff and it’s going to take some legal and financial expertise to sort it out. This post at Plank today makes no sense given all the material I have been reading from poster MyDDdotcom aka Jerome.

Kos: Note how Glenn Reynolds is fueling it with his typical passive aggressive, “I don’t think it’s a big deal, but let me provide links to everyone who thinks this is THE BIGGEST STORY EVER!”

And Jerome’s case, if it could be aired out, is a non-story (he was a poor grad student at the time so he settled because he had no money). Jerome can’t talk about it now since the case is not fully closed. But once it is, he’ll go on the offensive. That should be a couple of months off. More

New Republic author tells U.S. Army investigators under oath that he made up stories

Tuesday, August 7th, 2007

protest40.jpg

This from: The Uncooperative Blogger

THE WEEKLY STANDARD has learned from a military source close to the investigation that Pvt. Scott Thomas Beauchamp–author of the much-disputed “Shock Troops” article in the New Republic’s July 23 issue as well as two previous “Baghdad Diarist” columns–signed a sworn statement admitting that all three articles he published in the New Republic were exaggerations and falsehoods–fabrications containing only “a smidgen of truth,” in the words of our source.Separately, we received this statement from Major Steven F. Lamb, the deputy Public Affairs Officer for Multi National Division-Baghdad:

An investigation has been completed and the allegations made by PVT Beauchamp were found to be false. His platoon and company were interviewed and no one could substantiate the claims.

According to the military source, Beauchamp’s recantation was volunteered on the first day of the Military’s investigation. So as Beauchamp was in Iraq signing an affidavit denying the truth of his stories, the New Republic was publishing a statement from him on its website on July 26, in which Beauchamp said, “I’m willing to stand by the entirety of my articles for the New Republic using my real name.”

Anti-war people and those on the Left are always willing to believe the worst of our troops, not I. If people had any sense this would be the end of the New Republic, because we need to get back to the OLD Republic that our founding fathers gave us before it is too late. I for one am tired of the hate America crowd.

Also check out his post: US Bridge Safety & Illegal Aliens

“a subcontractor providing rebar installation for major bridge projects in Mississippi, Louisiana and Tennessee used illegal aliens who did not have valid welding certifications. Are these welding jobs the jobs Americans won’t do that the pro-illegal immigrationists are always mentioning?Talk about public safety! I just wonder what other possible areas there are unqualified illegal aliens working on infrastructure projects?”

ANOTHER Edwards campaign scam letter…

Thursday, June 28th, 2007

edwards5.jpgYa know I like Ann Coulters writing and enjoy reading her editorials. I however am not so amused when she goes on attacking rants because in my mind it is unnecessary.
BUT, this latest flap with Mrs. Edwards she is so dead on and I’m glad even the media is seeing through the latest fake outrage.

Below is another letter mentioning Coulter and O’Reilly and as Ann said using it to raise money. These people are such scam artists.
This is the difference between a well run campaign machine (Mrs. Bill) and a desperate failing campaign.

On the Democrat side it’s a two horse race and they know it, so let’s get some attention by attacking two high profile right wing pundits, how stupid.
Chris Matthews was likely paid big bucks to stage that call in bullshit, but Ann frankly bitched slapped Mrs. E.

I further illustrates that neither John Edwards nor his supposedly sick wife are very bright when it comes to campaigning.

John should try to scam another university into giving him $50,000 for another bullshit speech. Jackass!

****

All week we’ve seen the personal attacks come flooding in from Ann Coulter, Bill O’Reilly and the rest of the right-wing smear machine.

But the real story this week is not them—it’s you. It’s the explosion of grassroots support from folks all over the country who stood up to help us fight back and put us within $1 million of our goal.

We now have 72 hours to hit our goal of $9 million. Seventy-two hours to fight slurs with substance. Seventy-two hours to keep this campaign on track to win. And it all comes down to you. Please give what you can:

We’re fighting back the right way—by taking John’s message of change straight to voters. Earlier this week, our first TV ad in New Hampshire hit the airwaves with John’s inspiring call to action: it is time to ask Americans to be patriotic about something other than war.
johnedwards1.gif

You should see the way people in New Hampshire are responding to the ad. But don’t take my word for it—check out the ad yourself. We need your help to keep it on the air in New Hampshire and cut through the noise all over the country.

We’ve only got 72 hours to hit our goal and we need your support today.

Our momentum is growing all over the country. Just last night, 5,000 of John’s supporters gathered at nearly 400 house parties in every state. They talked live to John and Elizabeth, discussed the issues in this race, and made plans for taking this grassroots campaign to the next level.

You are the heart and soul of this campaign. You get what we’re about. You know that personal attacks from folks like Ann Coulter are just attempts to distract from the issues that matter. And you’re the reason her strategy can never succeed.

If you, me and everyone else on this email list gives what we can afford today, we can turn all of our small change into big change—the biggest kind of change for America and the world.

Please take a minute to check out our new ad, and give what you can afford today.

Thank you,

- Jonathan Prince

AAAARG! Idiot ass woman suing Starburst candy for Jaw injury

Wednesday, June 27th, 2007

The world is coming to an end folks, just pack it in, we are fucked.

First you have the ignorant ass Negro suing a dry cleaner over a fucken pair of pants and now you have this hag who want to sue a candy company because she claims “the candy” caused an injury to her jaw.

Maybe this is just another day where I’m a little crankier than normal.
From the news media sucking Paris Hilton’s tit, to our United States Senate deliberately screwing Americans on Amnesty, to a thug killing a former lover to avoid paying child support and forget that said thug was MARRIED, to another nut killing his family because he was oozing steroids.

I guess after spending a week in Los Angeles a city over run by Mexicans, too much traffic, rude idiot ass people I must be more sensitive.

Floods in Texas, fire in California I’m telling you the END IS NEAR!

Next we will see a lawsuit because someone farted in an elevator and contaminated someone’s air quality. Just watch.
