Muslim terrorist leaders are “thankful” for the efforts of activist and congressional candidate Cindy Sheehan, stating in a new book Sheehan’s anti-Iraq war activities and her statements against President Bush “give us hope” the U.S. will change its Mideast policies.
“You [Sheehan] give us hope and you show us that there are different Americans than those whom we know,” stated Ramadan Adassi, chief of the Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades terror group in the West Bank’s Anskar Refugee Camp.
“This sincere woman says what we’ve been saying all these last years – Saddam never threatened America or its security. Now Iraq is being decimated and America is losing. Voices like Sheehan’s show things can change,” said Adassi.
PESHAWAR, Pakistan (AFP) — Suspected Islamic militants beheaded two women accused of prostitution in northwestern Pakistan, police said Friday, in the latest case of Taliban-style justice in the region.The bodies of the women in their 40s were dumped on the outskirts of the conservative town of Bannu, near the Afghan border, a day after they were abducted by gunmen, district police officer Dar Ali Khattak.
Pro-Taliban militants in Pakistan’s North West Frontier Province and its lawless tribal areas bordering Afghanistan are waging a violent campaign for the introduction of strict Sharia law.
A note left with the corpses accused the women of being involved in prostitution with the support of local officials, and warned others like them that they would be punished in the same way, Khattak told AFP.

September 4, 2007 — Fear and paranoia are driving the taxi strike planned for tomorrow and Thursday, industry sources said yesterday.The global-positioning systems being installed in all 13,000 cabs will be used to target and spy on Muslims, according to pro-strike literature being distributed by members of the New York Taxi Workers Alliance, the group behind the two-day walkout.
“This is where deep racial, ethnic and religious prejudices and biases come into play,” one flier reads. “DNA samples are obtained, scrutinized and archived. Personal and family histories are scoured for evidence of ethnic and religious fervor. Clearly, surveillance technology can be a death sentence once you are in its crosshairs.”
Taxi and Limousine Commission officials say the city has no such sinister motives. The GPS will be used to automate the paper trip sheets each driver has to keep, and will transmit only the start and end location of each fare, officials said.
The new technology system, which will also allow for credit-card payments, was approved in 2004 as part of the same deal that gave drivers a 26 percent fare hike.
It’s unclear how many drivers are represented by the Taxi Workers Alliance, which claims 8,000 members - roughly one fifth of the total cabby workforce. But even those who disagree with the group may choose to stay home, sources say, because threats have been made against drivers who pick up passengers rather than strike.
“We are extremely disappointed to hear that that kind of fear mongering is taking place,” TLC spokesman Allan Fromberg said. “No one should be operating in that kind of environment.”

A demonstration has been held in south- east Afghanistan accusing US troops of insulting Islam after they distributed footballs bearing the name of Allah.
The balls showed the Saudi Arabian flag which features the Koranic declaration of faith.
The US military said the idea had been to give something for Afghan children to enjoy and they did not realise it would cause offence.
The footballs were dropped from a helicopter in Khost province.
Some displayed flags from countries all over the world, including Saudi Arabia, which features the shahada, one of the five pillars of Islam - the declaration of faith.
The words, which include the name of Allah, are revered, and Muslims are very sensitive about where and how they can be used.
Why my liberal friends fail to see with clarity what the leaders of our enemies say openly and without reservation, is a mystery to me. Ahmadinejad is part of fundamentalist Islam’s 13-centuries-old war of conquest targeting non-Muslims with the goal of imposing Islam on all the nations of the world and he wants nukes so as to destroy Israel as part of this war of conquest.
He is also quite determined to dictate his will to non-Muslim countries and to use nuclear power to pursue his goal of imposing Islam on those countries.
The next president better be prepared to deal with this nut and be willing to deal with his push in obtaining nuclear weapons.
When will the West awaken? At a recent conference in Los Angeles, sponsored by the American Freedom Alliance, Daniel Pipes announced his intention to start a legal defense bail fund for those who are sued by Islamists and their Western apologists for telling the truth. Not a moment too soon–although, regrettably, perhaps too late for Ehrenfeld. And, The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) has begun a process of legal intimidation against my esteemed colleague, Robert Spencer. Accordingly, David Horowitz has launched a legal defense fund for Spencer. I have pledged money to this and advise us all to do the same.
Before this war is over, we will each need legal defense funds. And that’s if we’re lucky. Those in the Islamic East need bodyguards and air-lifts to safety in the West. But there is a pattern emerging in the West which we ignore at our own peril.
For example, a leading American publisher of law enforcement and counter-terrorism titles cancelled Dr. Nancy Kobrin’s book about Islamic suicide terrorism. I wrote the Introduction for it and together Dr. Kobrin and I “went public.” A number of other publishers emerged–but they quickly disappeared too.
I have been trying to find a publisher for a book titled The Islamification of America and guess what? No takers so far. I am ready to self-publish the work.
This is a very special kind of Gulag. The internet provides us with the most sophisticated and universal of platforms for such 21st-century “samizdats.”
We who write in the America are so far lucky. We are legally intimidated. We are silenced on campuses due to the “politically correct” ideologies that rule there. But this is nothing compared to what Muslim intellectuals (and women and human beings) must endure in the Islamic world today. If they are lucky, they live in exile or in hiding and write under pseudonyms. A handful write openly and travel with bodyguards.
I am just told that Taslima Nasrin was, yet again, attacked by one hundred angry Muslim fanatics as she held a press conference in Hyderabad, India, to launch her new book. Nasrin, a physician and a feminist author who was born in Bangladesh, was once nearly lynched by a mighty mob there. She fled her country and lived in exile in Sweden and in hiding. Now, she lives in India where dozens of Muslim protesters, led by three lawmakers physically attacked her and her co-panelists. They demanded that India extradite her to Bangladesh (I guess for the kind of justice Bangladesh has meted out to that other hero, parliamentarian Chadhury, who was imprisoned and tortured because he wanted to visit Israel).
Her works have been banned in Bangladesh. She is being accused of being “anti-Islam.”
Islamists are moving against us in the West very carefully and in legal ways. In the overly revered “Third World” they speak in violence, their speech IS violence.
I hope that Taslima Nasrin remains safe and in India. And that the sleeping giant awakens before we have all been sued and censored into silence.

Before me is a recent report that a student at Pace University in New York City has been arrested for a hate crime in consequence of an alleged dumping of the Quran. Nothing repels me more than the burning or desecration of books, and if, for example, this was a volume from a public or university library, I would hope that its mistreatment would constitute a misdemeanor at the very least. But if I choose to spit on a copy of the writings of Ayn Rand or Karl Marx or James Joyce, that is entirely my business. When I check into a hotel room and send my free and unsolicited copy of the Gideon Bible or the Book of Mormon spinning out of the window, I infringe no law, except perhaps the one concerning litter. Why do we not make this distinction in the case of the Quran? We do so simply out of fear, and because the fanatical believers in that particular holy book have proved time and again that they mean business when it comes to intimidation. Surely that should be to their discredit rather than their credit. Should not the “moderate” imams of On Faith have been asked in direct terms whether they are, or are not, negotiating with a gun on the table?
The Pace University incident becomes even more ludicrous and sinister when it is recalled that Islamists are the current leaders in the global book-burning competition.

Some reflections on some recent polls, in FrontPage today (news links in the original):
A new Newsweek Poll on American attitudes toward Muslims and Islam has found that 46 percent of Americans believe that the United States is taking in too many Muslim immigrants. 32 percent think that Muslims in America are less loyal to the United States than they are to Islam. 28 percent believe that the Qur’an condones violence, and 41 percent hold that Islamic culture “glorifies suicide.” 54 percent are either “somewhat worried” or “very worried” about Islamic jihadists in this country, and 52 percent support FBI surveillance of mosques, with the same percentage rejecting the claim of American Muslim advocacy groups that Muslims are being singled out by investigators and police.
What are we to make of these figures? Do they mean that American Muslim advocacy groups have to do more to combat “Islamophobia”? That is the likely response: watch now for the follow-up stories about “Islamophobia,” in which the onus for all the attitudes displayed in this poll is placed firmly and solely upon non-Muslim Americans, as if Muslims were an entirely innocent, passive group that was doing nothing whatsoever to make anyone suspicious or angry at all. Newsweek itself led this off by asserting in another article published along with the poll that Muslims in America are “vulnerable as never before.” That story began with an account of a Muslim in Cleveland asking George W. Bush: “What are we doing with public diplomacy to change the hearts and minds of a billion and a half Muslims around the world?” The unspoken assumption behind this question is that Muslim fury at the West stems entirely from the actions of the United States and other Western countries, and not from anything within the Islamic world itself. Daud Abdullah, the Deputy Secretary General of the Muslim Council of Britain (MCB), expressed another aspect of this view after the recent jihad plots were discovered in London and Glasgow, when he suggested that the religion of the attackers was incidental to their plots: “Let’s not create a hypothetical problem…it can be the work of Muslims, Christians, Jews or Buddhists.”
The Iranian news website Etemaad reports that as of July 23, men with long or extravagantly styled hair will be arrested. They will be ordered to cut their hair and then report to the police; apparently for a check up.
Tehran Chief of Police Ahmad-Reza Radan;
“The streets belong to the sphere of society, not that of the individual. It’s not possible for one to appear in society as one pleases.”
I recall reading statements similar to this that were issued in another country about 70 years ago.
Men caught wearing shorts or t-shirts with brands on them will also be arrested.
No indication has been given as to the punishment for non compliers and whether this new law will apply to visitors.

Moments after the latest terror attack on Britain, television commentators engaged in the usual rhetorical hara-kiri, blaming everyone but its authors: the two Muslim jihadists jumping out of a burning car at Glasgow’s international airport ululating “Allah! Allah!” — even as one of them was barbecued — and the European Union’s vast Muslim fundamentalist infrastructure, which spawned them.
The initial discussions of the three car bombs — two in central London were defused, unexploded — were déjà vu writ large: Blaming the victims, criticizing British foreign policy offenses that might have “driven” British Muslims to kill their countrymen, highlighting the frustrations of minority communities forced to live in the West, and renewing calls for — yes, indeed — more interreligious dialogue.
It was not much better in America. With live images of the Glasgow International Airport fires blazing away, American networks hosted the so-called experts who, again, explained the “torment” of poor Muslims. Disgracefully, one guest — Michael Scheuer, a former CIA analyst who is a familiar face now whenever instant analysis is needed — droned on about the many reasons Muslims are “so” offended by this or that behavior in the West.
Does Global Warming Cause Muslims to Rape Europeans?

Sweden has been suffering from a rape epidemic. Rapists who were born abroad reportedly outnumber rapists born in Sweden four to one. This isn’t entirely surprising, considering that Sweden is being colonized out of existence by Muslim hordes exploiting liberal immigration policies. European women have taken to dying their blonde hair black and even wearing head scarves to avoid being attacked by Muslim colonizers, who hold them in total contempt.
Rape has a noble history in Islam. Muhammad himself raped his slaves, which is perfectly acceptable behavior according to the religion that we are allowing to replace Christianity. As Scandinavian blogger Fjordman observes:
If you postulate that many of the Muslims in Europe view themselves as a conquering army and that European women are simply war booty, it all makes perfect sense and is in full accordance with Islamic law.

An American member of Al-Qaeda warned in an Internet video that US President George W. Bush should withdraw all his troops from Muslim land or face attacks worse than September 11. Adam Gadahn, a convert to Islam who has been indicted for treason by a US jury, issued a list of demands and warned they were not up for negotiation.“Your failure to heed our demands means that you and your people… will experience things that will make you forget all about the horrors of September 11, Afghanistan and Iraq, and Virginia Tech,” he said in the video posted on Tuesday.
“You’re losing on all fronts and losing big time,” said Gadahn, who is the English-language spokesman for Osama bin Laden’s terror network.
The tape entitled “Legitimate Demands” was produced by As-Sahab, a media outfit that specialises in Al-Qaeda online material.
Gadahn — sporting a headress, glasses and long beard — said Bush had “embroiled his nation in a series of unwinable and bloody conflicts in the Islamic world.”
He also called on the United States to cease support for the “bastard state of Israel” and the “56-plus apostate regimes of the Muslim world” and to free all Muslims from its prisons.
“We don’t negotiate with war criminals and baby killers like you. No, these are legitimate demands which must be met,” he said.
Born in 1978, Gadahn — also known Azzam al-Amriki and Azzam the American — is a native of southern California and has appeared in several videotapes for Al-Qaeda since 2004.
His conversion to Islam came after he began attending the Islamic Centre of Orange County in California, where he is believed to have come under the influence of two foreign-born Islamic radicals.
Gadahn’s reference to Virginia Tech was to the shooting of 32 people at the university by Korean-born gunman Cho Seung-hui who then turned the gun on himself.
I’m recycling this post from December of 2006. I’m glad I found so I don’t have to peck at the keyboard for the next hour.
Wrong on this matter, hardly; from my childhood experiences growing up in the capital of the liberal world, the San Francisco Bay Area, but also from my military experiences directly attributed to the type of work I use to do in the Air Force.
Was Ron Paul totally WRONG, of course not, actions has consequences, duh but for him, a “so-called” presidential candidate to make such a generic statement by saying they are bombing us because “WE ARE OVER THERE” is simply ludicrous.
That statement was made just to score some TV air time and nothing more.
Let’s listen to what Paul said again, then my little childhood story.

The other day Mrs. Snoop reminded me of one of my childhood tales. She recently told her father about this incident.
I went to high school part of the time in Oakland California. My school Skyline High was “high” in the Oakland hills tucked neatly away from the barbarians in the flatlands.
If anybody has seen a baseball or football game in the Oakland Coliseum the press box looks almost directly where I lived in the Oakland hills.
Skyline High school is over that ridge.
Skyline just like any other school allows so many kids from outside the school district to attend. So city busses ran special routes to bring the kids to the school.
One morning, beautiful bright day the busses entering the circle drive were greeted by chanting Iranian students, waving the Iranian flag and also burning the American flag.
There were about 12-15 of them. As people would depart the bus they were met by taunting anti-American chants.
Keep in mind this was shortly after the Americans were taken hostage in Iran, led by the current Iranian president.
Most of the kids on this particular bus were black. There were a few of my white homies, that I hung with, and we all rode together. This was also one of the last busses to make the trip to the hills.
This was pretty much the party bus. Most of us had gym first period, so we usually played the music a little louder, and the bus filled with the aroma of burning plants, (wink, wink).
But as we turned into the school I remember seeing the strangest thing. As we rounded the corner going up into the school we saw this shit going on. We all got silent, the music turned off and we all just stared. The bus driver, slowed to a crawl as he approached the Pro-Iran students picketing and raising hell out front.
I remember saying to myself initially “fuck this” and turned to my buddy and said “lets stomp these mutherfuckers ass”.
Before we departed the bus in mass we told the bus driver to hold on, we kept our books and personal items on the bus.
We stormed off the bus, grabbed the Iranian flag from several of the Iranian dudes and started to burn it. As one of the Iranian dudes grabbed another participant as he tried to light the other end of the flag we all just started to pound on the bastard. Then all hell broke lose.
Several tried to get away as they ran down the hill trying the leave the school. However, they were caught and taken care of as well.
After about 10 to 12 fever pitched minutes, it was over. The bus driver had pulled over off the main driveway and we got our books, we gave each other hand slaps and went to class.
I remember the bus driver as we got back on the bus to get our stuff with this huge grin and shaking his head in approval.
The other funny thing was that no school officials came out to break up the mess during the ruckus nor did they say anything to any of us afterwards. The main office window was directly in front of the school.
I know some who may read this might think, “you were a bunch of thugs, what was so special about what you did?” Nothing, not a damm thing.
“What about their right to free speech?” you may ask, well I say fuck free speech in that case. We were a bunch of kids making our point.
It’s insulting to have these bastards come to this country, live high on the hog (Oklahoma lingo there), get an education, become successful by using the wonderful tools only available in our country, and then at the same time spit on and malign this nation. You can’t have it both ways, in my book.
To understand part of my anger that sparked this incident. Many years earlier while in grade school I met a kid Hagope Hagopian (SP? Iranian kid), who was from Bagdad.
His parents were big time surgeons at one of the main hospitals in Oakland.
He said he had a brother who was an officer in the Iranian army.
I use to listen to him talk all kinds of shit about America, that American kids were stupid, American is evil and all kinds of weird propaganda crap.
Hell, I was a kid and my biggest worry was where the next pick-up football game was being played. But I remember listening to him rant all the damm time.
Why do you think he was like that? Because he was being taught to hate America and Americans, by his parents and Arabic friends/family. All while they were in the country and getting rich(er) because of it!
I think back to Glen Beck’s special where he showed clips of Muslim kids chanting anti Israel and anti Jew crap. Hagope was one of these kids.
His vocabulary and knowledge of the world was way ahead of mind.
He felt comfortable talking to me because he once told me that his “fellow” Iranians felt sorry for American blacks because white people still treat them like slaves and that blacks should become Muslims and fight against white superiority.
That shit did not mean anything to me because we lived on one of the nicest neighborhoods in Oakland, mom and dad made good money, my life was good and secure. But this kid, my age, was already being taught to
hate me and those like me. Simply because we are/were Americans!
After I graduated from 7th grade I never saw Hagope again. I wonder if he ever went back to the land he so loved. I hope so. I would hate to think he’s still here, hating us but using us.
As I am now in my 40’s and the current state of the world I wonder where dude is today.
So for those of you who read this blog and get a sense of my anger and disdain for what I call terrorist pimps and other assorted anti American “sand niggas” my past plays an obvious role in shaping my current views.
I’m not prejudiced based upon what I was taught in the abstract. I’ve had at least two real world experiences, up close and personal, with the
hatred of Arabs, felt towards all Americans. I know what that kind of hate looks like, and it is not pretty!
I screwed up this earlier because I was in a hurry. El Borak responded to my comments about Ron Paul:

El Borak: What he’s talking about is the efforts of the Chairman of the Michigan GOP to ban Ron Paul from some GOP debates for saying, “Have you ever read about the reasons they attacked us? They attack us because we have been over there.”
Weve been bombing Iraq for 10 years. In other words, Paul is claiming that 9/11 was not simply a provocation, but a reaction to US policy dating back to the Clinton years and probably further, that it was a case of “blowback,” an unintended consequence of our own actions.
Where Snoop is right is that Paul cannot win the GOP nomination and that he probably helps Rudy, especially among the GOP faithful. But where I think he’s wrong is in saying that Paul’s assertion is “over the top stupid.” Rather I think he’s right on.
The clue that he’s not simply making this up onstage is found in the phrase, “Have you ever read,” and there are a number of places where one might have read just that:

As far as I’m concerned, if American had never set foot in the Middle East we would still be a target.
The same way Democrats creates class envy by continuing to repeat the oft used phrase, “tax the rich” “Republicans are racist” creating class envy and racial strife is what keep many Democrats in power.
Muslims are no different, they want their people to stay ignorant, vengeful, and hostile, it keeps power in the hand of a few.

Democracy is the formal icing on a preexisting cake of egalitarianism, economic opportunity, religious tolerance, and constant self-criticism. It cannot appear in the Muslim world until men and women demolish the medieval forces of tribalism, authoritarian traditionalism, and Islamic fundamentalism.
The catastrophe of the Muslim world is also explicable in its failure to grasp the nature of Western success, which springs neither from luck nor resources, genes nor geography.
Like third-world Marxists of the 1960s, who put blame for their own self-inflicted misery upon corporations, colonialism, and racism—anything other than the absence of real markets and a free society—the Islamic intelligentsia recognizes the Muslim world’s inferiority towards the West, but it then seeks to fault others for its own self-created fiasco.
Government spokesmen in the Middle East should have the courage to say that they are poor because their populations are nearly half illiterate, that their governments are not free, that their economies are not open, and that their fundamentalists impede scientific inquiry, unpopular expression, and cultural exchange.
Tragically, the immediate prospects for improvement are dismal, as the war against terrorism has further isolated the Middle East. Travel, foreign education, and academic exchanges — the only sources of future hope for the Arab world — have screeched to a halt.
All the conferences in Cairo about Western bias and media distortion cannot hide this self-inflicted catastrophe — and the growing ostracism and suspicion of Middle Easterners in the West.
But blaming the West for the unendurable reality is easier for millions of Muslims than admitting the truth.
Billions of barrels of oil, large populations, the Suez Canal, the fertility of the Nile, Tigris, and Euphrates valleys, invaluable geopolitical locations, and a host of other natural advantages that helped create wealthy civilizations in the past now yield an excess of misery, rather than the riches of resource-poor Hong Kong or Switzerland.
How could it be otherwise, when it takes bribes and decades to obtain a building permit in Cairo; when habeas corpus is a cruel joke in Baghdad; and when Saudi Arabia turns out more graduates in Islamic studies than in medicine or engineering?
To tackle illiteracy, state-sanctioned killing, and the economic misery that comes from corruption and state control require courage and self-examination.
Situated within a dense forest at the foothills of the Catskill Mountains on the outskirts of Hancock, New York, Islamberg is not an ideal place for a summer vacation unless, of course, you are an exponent of the Jihad or a fan of Osama bin Laden.
The 70 acre complex is surrounded with “No trespassing” signs; the rocky terrain is infested with rattlesnakes; and the woods are home to black bears, coyotes, wolves, and a few bobcats.
The entrance to the community is at the bottom of a very steep hill that is difficult to navigate even on a bright sunny day in May. A sentry post has been established at the base of the hill.
The sentry, at the time of this visit, is an African American dressed in Islamic garb - - a skull cap, a prayer shawl, and a loose fitting shalwat kameez. He instructs us to turn around and leave. “Our community is not open to visitors,” he says.
Behind the sentry and across a small stream stand dozens of inhabitants of the compound - - the men wearing skull caps and loose fitting tunics, the women in full burqa. They appear ready to deal with any unauthorized intruders.
The hillside is blighted by rusty trailers that appear to be without power or running water and a number of outhouses. The scent of raw sewage is in the air.
The place is even off limits to the local undertaker who says that he has delivered bodies to the complex but has never been granted entrance. “They come and take the bodies from my hearse. They won’t allow me to get past the sentry post. They say that they want to prepare the bodies for burial. But I never get the bodies back. I don’t know what’s going on there but I don’t think it’s legal.”
On the other side of the hill where few dare to go is a tiny village replete with a make-shift learning center (dubbed the “International Quranic Open University”); a trailer converted into a Laundromat; a small, green community center; a small and rather squalid grocery store; a newly constructed majid; over forty clapboard homes; and scores of additional trailers.

A series of incidents this week placed the forces she battles in stark relief. Sunday Muslims shot up the Omariyah elementary school in Gaza. One man was killed and six were wounded in the onslaught. The murderers attacked because the UN-run school in Rafah had organized a sports day for the children, in which little boys would be playing with little girls.
The idea that that boys and girls might play sports together was too much for the righteous believers. It was an insult to Islam, they said. And so they decided to kill the little boys and girls.
The video shows a 14-year-old girl being stoned to death by members of her own family! Her crime? She was in love with a Muslim boy.
NOTE: One of commenter’s pointed out correctly that the girl and her attackers WERE NOT MUSLIM they were from a minority Kurdish religious group called Yezidi.
Yes Snoop tends to bash Muslims, many times deservedly so, but this is not the case.

Mosul, Iraq — According to the Kurdish website Jebar.info up to 1000 men from the Yezidi Kurdish community of Mosul killed a teenager who’s only crime was running away to marry a Muslim man whom she loved and converting to his religion.
For four months the girl had been given shelter by a local Muslim Sheik. It was reported that in the last few days her family persuaded her to return home, convincing her that she had been forgiven by her parents and relatives for her mistake.
In a short mobile video clip which appears to have been taken by locals at seen of the murder, the girl is seen being ambushed on her way home by a group of up to 1000 men who were waiting for her to return; the men killed her in the most brutal way possible, by throwing large stones on her head. The following clips show that while she is alive and crying for help she is taunted and kicked in her stomach until someone finishes her off by throwing a large stone on her face.
Sometimes, you read or hear something, and an image forms in your mind that just won’t go away. For me, one of those images comes from the 2002 news stories about religious police in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, who beat young girls trying to escape a burning school. Because they weren’t wearing headscarves and black robes, 15 innocent girls were locked in a blazing building to burn while firemen watched helplessly.
Not all Saudis support this sort of extremism, but many Muslim radicals reject the premise that women should have even the most basic rights. These include the right to vote, to work, to drive, to choose one’s own husband, to charge a man with abuse or simply to move about without male escort.
One of the worst examples of this gender oppression was Afghanistan during the Taliban days. Women were not allowed to go to school, to work outside the home or even go out in public without a male family member. A woman with a medical emergency, but no male relatives to take her to a doctor, was expected simply to suffer or die. An aged woman with no one to bring her food was expected to starve. Too many did.
One small step for revelers, one giant step for Western civilization. Wiser heads prevailed. Yeah baby. This is most excellent news.
The airport had proposed one pilot program that had drivers who wouldn’t transport alcohol display a different top light on their cab, but thepublic’s reaction was overwhelmingly negative and taxi drivers feared it would make travelers avoid taxis altogether. John Q. Public, my hero.

As a Texan, you have no idea how painful this post is for me to write. To me, Texas is the standard-bearer of what’s right about the US. Texas is individualistic in a sea of collectivism. It’s conscious of right and wrong in a sea of relativism. It’s traditional in a sea of post-modernism. It’s staunchly conservative in an age of creeping liberalism.
But, alas, Texas is not entirely immune to the winds of the times.
Remember that radical-tinged imam who prayed a noxious prayer at the Democrats’ winter meeting a while back? Well, he has an ally who graced the Texas Senate with similar incantations this week. His name is Imam Yusuf Kavakci of the Dallas Central Mosque, and he was invited by a bi-partisan pair for the invocation. Follow the link; he’s a Khomeini apologist among other things. If this wasn’t a ‘dry run’ or a ‘casing’ then I have no other explanation than that they were trying to get noticed so they could then decry our nations ‘prejudice’.
I’d say that the next step would be a press conference from CAIR, but it looks like even they are avoiding this one because of the apparent insanity. It’s civil rights litigation 101: look for sympathetic clients. Kimberly “Asma” Al-Homsi is no Rosa Parks.
