Blacks in Los Angeles Rise Up Against Illegal Immigration

Friday, June 29th, 2007

I found this You Tube clip of a recent protest in Los Angeles protesting illegal immigration. I wish I would have know while I was there I would have marched as well. I posted on the very thing talked about in the clip (Mexicans Rule Cali, your town is next)
The Senate Amnesty bill was shot down this time but the issue will rise again and black folks better start speaking up or they are screwed.

You can view more video at the You Tube profile American Resolve

Michelle Malkin fires back: “Doing the booing Americans won’t do”

Wednesday, May 30th, 2007

By Michelle Malkin

missusa.jpgThe United States government is on the verge of approving a mass amnesty to millions of illegal aliens — a plan pushed aggressively by meddling Mexican officials who reap billions of dollars in remittances (illegal aliens’ earnings sent back to Mexico) without having to lift a finger to clean up their own country.

And the thanks we get? Internationally televised public humiliation.

On Monday night, the beautiful young woman who represented America in the Miss Universe pageant was booed and mocked as she competed on stage in Mexico City. Rachel Smith, 22, did her best to respond with grace and dignity during the Top Five finalists’ interview segment as the audience disrupted the event.

Definitely not this one.

Smith soldiered through her answer, describing an educational trip to South Africa. Catcalls and whistles nearly drowned out Smith’s reply until she wrapped up with “Buenos noches, Mexico.”

I wouldn’t have been sburnmexflag.jpgo polite.

None of Miss USA’s fellow Americans participating in the interview segment — neither Minnillo, nor macho co-host Mario Lopez, nor the dashing Romo — came to Smith’s defense. Instead, Minnillo pleaded briefly with the unruly mob: “Okay, una momento, por favor .” Lopez stood mute with a dumb grin on his dimpled face. Pathetic.

In fact, Smith was subjected to anti-American hatred throughout the week-long event. Last week, during the contestants’ national costume fashion show, Smith smiled bravely as a rowdy outdoor crowd hissed and booed at her. According to pageant observers, no other contestants received such treatment.

Pitifully, Donald Trump and his Miss Universe officials are downplaying Smith’s experience — ignoring the fact that the last time the pageant was held in Mexico, Miss USA was abused in similar fashion. 1993 Miss USA Kenya Moore was infamously heckled when chosen for the semi-finals that year.

Just a tiny minority of America-haters, right? How quickly we forget.

Flood the amnesty hotline!

Wednesday, May 30th, 2007

batphone.jpg

From Michelle Malkin

If you are having trouble getting through the Capitol switchboard to express your opinion about the Bush-Kennedy shamnesty, there’s a special hotline number you might like to try.

1-800-882-2005. (Spanish number)
1-800-417-7666. (English number)

Freepers picked up on it this morning. Bryan Preston dialed it earlier today and captured audio of the hotline. He reports:

The hotline is paid for by something called the Coalition for Comprehensive Immigration Reform and it’s being blasted to pro-open borders groups all over the country. The hotline gives its callers access to their senators that average Joes don’t have.

Here’s what the “Coalition for Comprehensive Immigration Reform” is directing its pro-illegal alien activists to do:

Call between 9:00am and 5:00pm Eastern time to have a better chance of connecting with the Senate offices. When you call, you will hear a recording

1) The system will scan your phone number (or ask you to enter it) to verify your Senators.

2) The system will ask which Senator you would like to be connected to.

3) Before connecting, you will hear a brief message about immigration reform to deliver.

4) After the message, you will be connected to your Senator.

5) After you are done, be sure to call again and connect to your other Senator’s office.

Now, you can use it, too: Read more here:  ‘Flood the amnesty hotline!’

Note to idiot Mexicans and your wonderful country…..screw you!

Of course you people are pissed, because this young lady is a shining example of what America is all about.
Start sneaking young women of this quality and character over the boarder then MAYBE we can talk about immigration issues.

We should immediately stop holding pageants, NFL football games, MLB games NASCAR anything “American” in Mexico.
If they want to act like assholes lets start pulling entertainment dollars.

Yes, I know my rant is pointless because corrupt business interest, scamming Republicans including our president will ignore stuff like this and excuse the behavior of Mexicans.
As far as I’m concerned we can’t build a wall big enough to keep these people out.

Impact of Low-Skill Immigrants On Low-Skill Blacks

Tuesday, May 22nd, 2007

By Bruce Kesler from the website Democracy-project.com

Among those who do not benefit from the immigration of those with low-skills, mostly from Mexico and Central America, are low-skill Blacks.

The May 2007 NBER Digest from the National Bureau of Economic Research summarizes the research:

1b.JPG“Remarkably, as far as we know, no study has examined if there is a link between the resurgence of large-scale immigration and the employment and incarceration trends in the black population,” co-authors George Borjas, Jeffrey Grogger, and Gordon Hanson write in Immigration and African-American Employment Opportunities: The Response of Wages, Employment, and Incarceration to Labor Supply Shocks (NBER Working Paper No.12518). The authors are careful to point out that even without increased immigration, most of the fall in employment and increase in jailed black men would have happened anyway. Nevertheless, the racially disproportionate effects of immigration on employment are striking….The observed correlations suggest that immigration is an important underlying factor influencing the observed trends. In particular, their analysis finds that a 10 percent rise in immigrants in a particular skill group significantly trimmed the wages of black and white men alike. For African-Americans, the decline was 3.6 percent. For whites, it was actually slightly higher: 3.8 percent. Beyond that, however, the black-white experience differed markedly, especially for low-skilled workers. Take employment rates: from 1960 to 2000, black high school dropouts saw their employment rates drop 33 percentage points –– from 88.6 percent to 55.7 percent — the authors found in their analysis of census data from 1960 to 2000. The decrease for white high school dropouts was only roughly half that –– from 94.1 percent to 76.0 percent.

One reason, the authors argue, is that black employment is more sensitive to an immigration influx than white employment….

That same immigration rise was also correlated with a rise in incarceration rates. For white men, a 10 percent rise in immigration appeared to cause a 0.1 percentage point increase in the incarceration rate for white men. But for black men, it meant a nearly 1 percentage-point rise.

Why would a boost in immigration effectively put more men, especially black men, behind bars? The authors put forward a straightforward theory: immigration causes wages and employment to fall for black workers. When this happens, some of those workers –– especially those with the lowest skills — turn to crime to increase their income. …

The authors stress that immigration is only one factor in the worsening labor situation of low-skilled African-American men. “The 1980-2000 immigrant influx, therefore, generally ‘explains’ about 20 to 60 percent of the decline in wages, 25 percent of the decline in employment, and about 10 percent of the rise in incarceration rates among blacks with a high school education or less,” they write.

There’s, obviously, more at play here than immigration’s effect on low-skill Blacks. But, there’s still a considerable impact upon low-skill Blacks. Among the costs of any liberalization in immigration, there should be an accounting of such costs as these imposed upon citizens.

Burn the Mexican Flag? hmmmmm

Wednesday, May 9th, 2007

mexburnflag.jpgThis from Bortz:

We all know my position on flag burning. So long as you are in this country, you are protected by the Bill of Rights. While I myself would have no reason to burn the flag, I support the right for others to express their distress or outrage with our government in this manner, just so long as you aren’t violating someone’s property rights. Buy your own flag and burn it on your own property. At the same time, I support a law that sets the penalties for anyone who pounds the pudding out of someone they find burning the symbol of our country as a protest. The penalty shall be one dollar. Upon payment of the find your criminal record will be expunged.

You can call me unpatriotic. I’ve been called worst. Trust me. I just believe it is much more important to maintain the integrity of our freedoms, as protected in the Bill of Rights, than bend to those who place emphasis on symbolism, rather than liberty.

That brings us to a flag burner in Tucson, AZ claims that the city government would not allow him to burn the Mexican flag. What was he protesting? Apparently the city government is helping illegal aliens from Mexico get local jobs and deliberating disobeying immigration laws, along with other allegations. The protestor takes it a step further, saying that the illegal immigrant population worked with the government to stifle the man’s protest. That one bears looking into.

So .. here’s our situation. In America, or at least in Tucson, you can burn an American flag, but not a Mexican flag. Could the reason here be that Tucson officials feel that Americans are more likely to be law abiding and tolerant of the protest of others than Mexicans? Are Mexicans more prone to violence? Hey .. don’t ask me, ask the Tucson city government. They’re the ones who seem to be running scared from freedom of expression. Look, if this guy wishes to express his justified frustration with his government, then so be it. He is suing the city of Tucson for $10 million, in efforts to deter government abuse. Good luck to this protestor…he’s in for one hell of a justified fight!

Hispanics Dump Black Principal

Tuesday, March 20th, 2007

From LaShawn Barber

blackvbrown.jpgSo much for a black-brown coalition.

A black principal at some majority-hispanic school in Chicago was voted out by a majority-hispanic school board in favor of an hispanic principal. A supporter of the black principal was heard shouting “Speak English!” to a woman speaking Spanish, and there was chair-kicking going on. Some allege the whole thing is racial. No! Really?

This is what happens under a system of racial spoils. Blacks have been propped up as THE preferred minority group for decades, ostensibly because of slavery and government-mandated segregation.

Today’s racial spoils system is based not on slavery and Jim Crow, but on whichever group, black or hispanics, has the “power” at any given time to push its agenda. You’ll notice that Asians and other racial/ethnic minorities aren’t wasting their time fighting over scraps. Or “turf.” Why? (Also see Black and Hispanic “Hate” in LA County)

I read an article the other day about hispanics gaining political power and black politicians’ perilous positions in majority-hispanic districts like Rep. Maxine Waters’s California district. Man, I wish I’d saved that link. It’s a must-read. Hispanics are out-breeding everyone else. And unlike voting black Americans, 90 percent of whom vote for Democrats, the hispanic vote is more dispersed between both major political parties. That gives them a lot more leverage. Take a memo, black folks.

Black and Hispanic ‘Hate’ in LA County

Monday, December 18th, 2006

mexicans2a.jpgBlacks and hispanics in Los Angeles County are at each other’s throats.

They’re fighting one another in schools and in prisons. As these groups compete for the same low-skill jobs and “preferred minority status,” tensions mount.

Ethnic groups fighting for resources is as old as the hills.

According to a report released by the Los Angeles County Human Relations Commission, 2005 Hate Crimes Report (PDF), 633 hate crimes were reported in Los Angeles County in 2005, up from 502 last year. This increase was caused by a “sharp spike ” in race-related hate crimes, which jumped 46 percent. Contrary to popular opinion, hate crimes are not primarily white-on-black, at least not in LA.

So-called anti-black crimes increased by 47 percent. About 80 percent of hate crimes involving gangs were committed by hispanics against blacks. “Very few reports indicated that these racial crimes were committed by gang members against rival gang members; most were against victims who were not identified as gang members.”

School-based violence between blacks and hispanics also increased. In 2005, “82% of the total number of school hate crimes were racially motivated, up dramatically from 49% in 2004.” Here’s the interesting part: Hispanic-on-black violence at schools was more common than vice versa. It seems that “Latinos” are the aggressors in most black-hispanic hate crime cases.
