Well what do ya know… Palestinians Running Phone Banks for Obama “Hussein” Obama

Thursday, May 15th, 2008

From Moonbattery

The notion of Barack Obama becoming President is so preposterous, it cannot be parodied. This al-Jazeera report about Palestinians in Gaza — the folks who elected the terror group Hamas to run the government — appears to be completely on the level. The same folks who passed out candy in celebration on 9/11 are running phone banks in support of their hero Obama.

Radical Muslim paramilitary compound flourishes in upper New York state

Wednesday, April 16th, 2008

Msgt Theresa’s comment below in the post about the polygamist chicks sparked my memory of this post from Jihad Watch a year ago.

“So, when the “compounds” of islam worshipers, like the ones springing up across the country are monitored and found to be in violation of whatever laws, will the authorities react as aggressively against them or will they be held up by the PC bullshit currently in place when we deal with “islam”?”

Would the government be so eager to bust onto this little complex vs the one with a bunch of psychologically disturb women?

Islamberg, New York: “You can hear gunfire up there. I can’t understand why the FBI won’t shut it down”

(Jihad Watch Link) The intrepid Paul Williams has a report in Canada Free Press (thanks to all who sent this in) about his visit to Islamberg, New York, a camp run by the jihadist Jamaat ul-Fuqra group. The inhabitants wouldn’t let him into the compound, but he talked to some of the locals, and found out a good deal:

Islamberg is not as benign as a Buddhist monastery or a Carmelite convent. Nearly every weekend, neighbors hear sounds of gunfire. Some, including a combat veteran of the islamberg.jpgVietnam War, have heard the bang of small explosives. None of the neighbors wished to be identified for fear of “retaliation.” “We don’t even dare to slow down when we drive by,” one resident said. “They own the mountain and they know it and there is nothing we can do about it but move, and we can’t even do that. Who wants to buy a property near that?”The complex serves to scare the bejeesus out of the local residents. “If you go there, you better wear body armor,” a customer at the Circle E Diner in Hancock said. “They have armed guards and if they shoot you, nobody will find your body.”

At Cousins, a watering hole in nearby Deposit, a barfly, who didn’t wish to be identified, said: “The place is dangerous. You can hear gunfire up there. I can’t understand why the FBI won’t shut it down.”

Islamberg is a branch of Muslims of the Americas Inc., a tax-exempt organization formed in 1980 by Pakistani cleric Sheikh Mubarak Ali Gilani, who refers to himself as “the sixth Sultan Ul Faqr,” Gilani, has been directly linked by court documents to Jamaat ul-Fuqra or “community of the impoverished,” an organization that seeks to “purify” Islam through violence.

Though primarily based in Lahore, Pakistan, Jamaat ul-Fuqra has operational headquarters in New York and openly recruits through various social service organizations in the U.S., including the prison system. Members live in hamaats or compounds, such as Islamberg, where they agree to abide by the laws of Jamaat ul-Fuqra, which are considered to be above local, state and federal authority. Additional hamaats have been established in Hyattsville, Maryland; Red House, Virginia; Falls Church, Virginia; Macon, Georgia; York, South Carolina; Dover, Tennessee; Buena Vista, Colorado; Talihina, Oklahoma; Tulane Country, California; Commerce, California; and Onalaska, Washington. Others are being built, including an expansive facility in Sherman, Pennsylvania.

Read it all. And then contact your congressman.

Old NY Post Story: CATSKILLS SITE EYED June 4, 2007 — A remote Muslim commune nestled in the Catskill Mountains has come under the scrutiny of state and federal authorities for possible ties to terrorism, according to law-enforcement sources.

Officials say Islamberg - a wooded, 70-acre encampment in upstate Tompkins, about three hours north of the city - acts as the headquarters for an outfit called Muslims of the Americas, widely believed to be a front for Jamaat al-Fuqra, founded by radical Pakistani cleric Mubarak Ali Gilani.

Speaker at Emory defends Hizballah and Hamas

Wednesday, October 31st, 2007

hizballahchildabuse.jpg

From Jihad Watch

And the Leftist thugs who shouted down David Horowitz were nowhere in evidence, of course. Not that they would have wanted to turn out to protest a speech by an apologist for jihad terror — and meanwhile, Emory’s President James Wagner pretended that conservative students were just as likely to behave like fascist thugs as liberal ones, and took precautions to protect Ashrawi’s speech that he did not take for Horowitz.”Ashrawi defends Hizbullah and Hamas,” by Gil Hoffman in the Jerusalem Post (thanks to all who sent this in):

Veteran Palestinian Authority lawmaker Hanan Ashrawi, who represents PA Prime Minister Salaam Fayad’s Third-Wave party, defended both Hamas and Hizbullah in a speech at Emory University in Atlanta on Monday night.”The [Second Lebanon] War proved [Israel] could not defeat a nation fighting for freedom,” Ashrawi said. Later, the Christian lawmaker blamed Hamas’s January 2006 election victory on Israel, saying the occupation bred extremism.

Ashrawi also discussed the plight of the Palestinian people, saying they had plunged into a deep depression with unemployment and poverty at record levels, and that peace was the only answer.

Palestinians are experiencing “one of the most difficult phases in our history,” she said. “Violence and [the] extreme ideology of Israel feed violence and extremism on the other side. And that’s what led to the election of Hamas.”

“Now we see not just a political and economic battle, but a battle over the soul of Palestine,” she told an audience of about 200. “We find ourselves in the grip of… the deconstruction of Palestine.”

Nearly 75 percent of Gazans were dependent on welfare and the Strip’s unemployment rate had skyrocketed to 50%, she said, adding that conditions there had worsened since Hamas seized power in June.

The Legal Jihad Is Already Underway

Tuesday, August 14th, 2007

jihad2.jpgBy Phyllis Chesler - FrontPageMagazine.com - Link

When will the West awaken? Of course, I am not talking about your ordinary citizen or soldier but about our Talking Heads and other gate-keeping chatterers who simply refuse to “get it.”Cambridge University Press not only recalls but has promised to pulp the book that authoritatively documents one Saudi billionaire’s funding of terror; many anti-jihadic writers and all our leading mainstream media have privately apologized to this same billionaire. Only Rachel Ehrenfeld has refused to “apologize” for telling the truth and has counter-sued him in an American court of law based on her First Amendment right to tell the truth. (She was initially sued in London where she lost by default; she chose not to appear in court).

At a recent conference in Los Angeles, sponsored by the American Freedom Alliance, Daniel Pipes announced his intention to start a legal defense bail fund for those who are sued by Islamists and their Western apologists for telling the truth. Not a moment too soon–although, regrettably, perhaps too late for Ehrenfeld. And, The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) has begun a process of legal intimidation against my esteemed colleague, Robert Spencer. Accordingly, David Horowitz has launched a legal defense fund for Spencer. I have pledged money to this and advise us all to do the same.

Before this war is over, we will each need legal defense funds. And that’s if we’re lucky. Those in the Islamic East need bodyguards and air-lifts to safety in the West. But there is a pattern emerging in the West which we ignore at our own peril.

For example, a leading American publisher of law enforcement and counter-terrorism titles cancelled Dr. Nancy Kobrin’s book about Islamic suicide terrorism. I wrote the Introduction for it and together Dr. Kobrin and I “went public.” A number of other publishers emerged–but they quickly disappeared too.

I have been trying to find a publisher for a book titled The Islamification of America and guess what? No takers so far. I am ready to self-publish the work.

This is a very special kind of Gulag. The internet provides us with the most sophisticated and universal of platforms for such 21st-century “samizdats.”

We who write in the America are so far lucky. We are legally intimidated. We are silenced on campuses due to the “politically correct” ideologies that rule there. True, the American Jewish Committee recently paid for a full page New York Times ad signed by American college presidents who oppose the eternally-intended British boycott of Israeli academics and who bravely suggest that they be boycotted too. Well and good.

But guess who did not sign? Harvard, Yale, Vassar, California State University at Berkeley, Los Angeles, UCLA, San Francisco State, and of course, Norman Finkelstein’s old perch, De Paul in Chicago. (Maybe I’m wrong, maybe they did sign in a Harry Potter kind of way in invisible ink).

But this is nothing compared to what Muslim intellectuals (and women and human beings) must endure in the Islamic world today. If they are lucky, they live in exile or in hiding and write under pseudonyms. A handful write openly and travel with bodyguards.

I am just told that Taslima Nasrin was, yet again, attacked by one hundred angry Muslim fanatics as she held a press conference in Hyderabad, India, to launch her new book. Nasrin, a physician and a feminist author who was born in Bangladesh, was once nearly lynched by a mighty mob there. She fled her country and lived in exile in Sweden and in hiding. Now, she lives in India where dozens of Muslim protesters, led by three lawmakers physically attacked her and her co-panelists. They demanded that India extradite her to Bangladesh (I guess for the kind of justice Bangladesh has meted out to that other hero, parliamentarian Chadhury, who was imprisoned and tortured because he wanted to visit Israel).

Her works have been banned in Bangladesh. She is being accused of being “anti-Islam.”

Islamists are moving against us in the West very carefully and in legal ways. In the overly revered “Third World” they speak in violence, their speech IS violence.

I hope that Taslima Nasrin remains safe and in India. And that the sleeping giant awakens before we have all been sued and censored into silence.

You Tube Video - Hitch Part 2 Dennis Prager Islamophobia, - 08:00

Why ‘Islamophobia’ is a brilliant term - By Dennis Prager

What do anti-Semitism, racism and Islamophobia have in common?

In fact, nothing.

But according to Islamist groups, Western media and the United Nations, they have everything in common. Anti-Semites hate all Jews, racists hate all members of another race, and Islamophobes hate all Muslims.

Whoever coined the term “Islamophobia” was quite shrewd. Notice the intellectual sleight of hand here. The term is not “Muslim-phobia” or “anti-Muslimist,” it is Islam-ophobia – fear of Islam – yet fear of Islam is in no way the same as hatred of all Muslims. One can rightly or wrongly fear Islam, or more usually, aspects of Islam, and have absolutely no bias against all Muslims, let alone be a racist.

The equation of Islamophobia with racism is particularly dishonest. Muslims come in every racial group, and Islam has nothing to do with race. Nevertheless, mainstream Western media, Islamist groups calling themselves Muslim civil liberties groups and various Western organizations repeatedly declare that Islamophobia is racism.

Hot Air audio: How one wealthy jihad supporter is using UK courts to kill American free speech

It’s difficult to overstate the importance of this story. The Chronicle of Higher Education (sub. required) on Wednesday published an article about Khalid bin Mafouz, a wealthy Saudi banker, and his successful effort to persuade the Cambridge University Press to halt the publication of four books that detail how Saudi citizens use their wealth to finance global terrorism. One of those books, Alms for Jihad, was once on sale at Amazon and elsewhere, but it has been pulled from sale and copies of it are now being pulped. Cambridge has even sent out letters to libraries that stock it and the other three books, asking for their return so that they too can be pulped, meaning they will soon disappear, burying the details they contain on how terrorism finance works and who is behind it.

Dr. Rachel Ehrenfeld of the American Center for Democracy is one of the authors whose books have been subject to judicial attack by Khalid bin Mafouz. I interviewed her about the case of the censorious jihad financier, and Cambridge Press’ cowardly capitulation to him. She is the author of Funding Evil: How Terrorism is Financed and How to Stop It. She is the only author to date who is fighting back.

Robert Spencer fights back - Spokesman for unindicted co-conspirator in terror group funding case defames Spencer on CNN - From Jihad Watch

A portion of Spencer’s comments:

He quoted a genocidal comment that was made on this website yesterday, and made it appear as if I had written it. (Prager would have none of it, and spoke highly of Jihad Watch, for which I thank him, although at the end of the segment, when Hooper attributed something else to me that I have never said, Prager disavowed it and responded, “I will” to Hooper’s “Then tell Mr. Spencer that.” In fact, I do not hold and have never stated anything of what Hooper attributes to me on this show.) In reality, someone kindly alerted me to the existence of the comment shortly after it was posted, and I removed it and banned the poster.

I allow comments here because I believe in free speech and free inquiry. But in reality, I don’t endorse any of them. Some I agree with, some I don’t, some are brilliant, some are not, some apologize for jihad and defend jihadists, and some are extremely angry with jihadists — but no one can legitimately assume that I endorse any of them unless I say so. And certainly if I remove a comment, it is a clear message. Every comments field bears this heading: “Note: Comments on articles are unmoderated, and do not necessarily reflect the views of Jihad Watch or Robert Spencer. Comments that are off-topic, offensive, slanderous, or otherwise annoying may be summarily deleted. However, the fact that particular comments remain on the site IN NO WAY constitutes an endorsement by Robert Spencer of the views expressed therein.”

By Robert Spencer Jihad Watch: “Islamophobic” or Informed?

Tuesday, July 24th, 2007
iphobe.jpgSome reflections on some recent polls, in FrontPage today (news links in the original):

A new Newsweek Poll on American attitudes toward Muslims and Islam has found that 46 percent of Americans believe that the United States is taking in too many Muslim immigrants. 32 percent think that Muslims in America are less loyal to the United States than they are to Islam. 28 percent believe that the Qur’an condones violence, and 41 percent hold that Islamic culture “glorifies suicide.” 54 percent are either “somewhat worried” or “very worried” about Islamic jihadists in this country, and 52 percent support FBI surveillance of mosques, with the same percentage rejecting the claim of American Muslim advocacy groups that Muslims are being singled out by investigators and police.

What are we to make of these figures? Do they mean that American Muslim advocacy groups have to do more to combat “Islamophobia”? That is the likely response: watch now for the follow-up stories about “Islamophobia,” in which the onus for all the attitudes displayed in this poll is placed firmly and solely upon non-Muslim Americans, as if Muslims were an entirely innocent, passive group that was doing nothing whatsoever to make anyone suspicious or angry at all. Newsweek itself led this off by asserting in another article published along with the poll that Muslims in America are “vulnerable as never before.” That story began with an account of a Muslim in Cleveland asking George W. Bush: “What are we doing with public diplomacy to change the hearts and minds of a billion and a half Muslims around the world?” The unspoken assumption behind this question is that Muslim fury at the West stems entirely from the actions of the United States and other Western countries, and not from anything within the Islamic world itself. Daud Abdullah, the Deputy Secretary General of the Muslim Council of Britain (MCB), expressed another aspect of this view after the recent jihad plots were discovered in London and Glasgow, when he suggested that the religion of the attackers was incidental to their plots: “Let’s not create a hypothetical problem…it can be the work of Muslims, Christians, Jews or Buddhists.”

HotAir, MEMRI, Jihad Watch blocked by the Feds?

Thursday, July 5th, 2007

liberals3.jpg

I found over on Right Wing News. Somewhat shocking but not a surprise anymore in today’s environment. I hope this story gets more coverage to counter the deceitful terrorist loving leftist bastards.

Site Links: MEMRI - Hot Air - Jihad Watch

Hello. Robert Spencer here from Jihad Watch. Several days ago I received this email:

I wanted to drop a line about the inability to access JihadWatch at work. I work for the Fed Gov. Three weeks ago, Memri was blocked. Two weeks ago HotAir, which I used to look at on my lunch break for your updates, was blocked. As of Friday,June 29th, JihadWatch was blocked. I can however, visit CAIR, read anything about Islam, and even get the Arab news. The censors I deal with are from the Dallas area. It is very easy to see that this censor is not operating according to the proper rules of access. They are operating by their political beliefs (or hopes.) It is unfortunate that these people block the very information that we need in these times….

Also, all this week I have gotten emails telling me that Jihad Watch has suddenly been blocked in all sorts of places: Fidelity Investments, JPMorgan Chase, even the City of Chicago. Word is that Jihad Watch and other sites have suddenly been labeled as purveying “hate speech.”

This is a tried and true tactic of the Left: intellectually bankrupt as it is, it silences its critics rather than dealing with them on the level of ideas. They can’t answer us, so they try to shut us up and discredit us. Leftists, as well as apologists for Islamic jihad terrorism, label their opponents “hatemongers” and “bigots,” hoping thereby to make people of good will turn away from their message. And the politicized nature of this Internet censorship will come as a surprise to no one.

In reality, Jihad Watch is dedicated to the defense of human rights for all people against those who would impose Islamic law, with its institutionalized discrimination against women and religious minorities, over both Muslim and non-Muslim societies. There is no “hatred” in this, except when we report the words of hatred and supremacism of the Islamic jihadists. We are trying to raise awareness of the nature, extent, and goals of the global jihad, which threatens everyone who loves and cherishes freedom and the equality of rights of all people before the law.

And so, we are going to fight this, as best we can, and I am sure MEMRI and HotAir are also. Today I am going to contact every organization that, according to emails I have received, has banned Jihad Watch, and urge them to remove the ban. Wherever you are working today, if you get a chance please take a moment to check if you still have access to conservative sites — and if you don’t, lodge a respectful but firm protest. Let us not take lying down being vilified and silenced, when we are telling the truth.

Fort Dix suspect applied for police jobs

“Tatar may have also wanted to join the Army … A second suspect in the case told the informant that Tatar wanted to join the Army so he could kill soldiers from the ‘inside’.” Fort Dix Jihad Update. By Geoff Mulvihill for the Associated Press:

MOUNT LAUREL, N.J. - One of the men accused of plotting to attack soldiers at Fort Dix had recently applied to be a police officer in two big cities — a move some authorities believe may have been an effort to infiltrate law enforcement agencies.

How many more Serdar Tatars might there be across America? Infiltrators among first responders to an attack would increase casualties, delay the work of other responders, and would significantly augment the psychological impact of the attack.

Serdar Tatar, 23, applied for a job in Philadelphia last month, police spokesman Sgt. D.F. Pace said Wednesday.

“Based on what we know now, I don’t think his intentions were good,” Pace said.

Tatar also applied for a job in the Oakland, Calif., Police Department, according to a law enforcement official speaking on the condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to release the information.

I found this on Hot Air, you know sometimes I get caught up and post funny pictures of these terrorist idiots, but when you see what these bastards do to children it makes you sick.

All of those idiots who will be going to Washington DC this weekend, protesting the war should watch these clips, but the bad thing is they support and condone turing little kids into ticking time bombs.

Important Action Alerts are usually the province of the leftosphere but it’d good to get the word out about this one. Longtime MEMRI fans will recognize this sort of thing instantly, but most people aren’t longtime MEMRI fans, and nothing concentrates the mind about the Israeli/Palestinian conflict like seeing four-year-olds brainwashed into becoming the Arab equivalent of the Hitler Youth before one’s very eyes.

Jordan’s King Blames Israel, Ellison Chants in Arabic

Thursday, March 8th, 2007

ellison2.JPGFound via the Little Green Footballs headlines box (on the sidebar)

When Jordan’s King Abdullah addressed a joint session of Congress, he predictably chose to blame all of the world’s problems on Israel—and did not even mention Hamas: Jordanian King’s Address to Congress Draws Criticism For One-Sided Mideast Peace Outlook.

WASHINGTON —  Top House Democrats said Wednesday they are “disappointed” with Jordanian King Abdullah’s address to a joint meeting of Congress in which he singled out the plight of Palestinians without mentioning the role of Palestinian groups in preventing a Mideast peace.

In a room with a number of pro-Israeli politicians, the king devoted his speech to discussing an end to the conflict in the Middle East, but he focused primarily on the needs of the Palestinians and suggested that Israel was holding up the peace process.

At no point did he discuss the role of Hamas, the U.S.-designated terror group that is the majority partner in the Palestinian government. Hamas has refused to recognize Israel or change its charter calling for the destruction of the Jewish state.

“I meet Muslims thousands of miles away who have a deep, personal response to the suffering of the Palestinian people. They want to know how it is, that ordinary Palestinians are still without rights and without a country. They ask whether the West really means what it says about equality and respect and universal justice,” he said.

At least one Congressman was ecstatic at the King’s standard-issue “Arabs hate Israel” speech, though.

Abdullah set the tone for his 30-minute speech at the outset when he noted the historic make-up of the 110th Congress, which “welcomes its first woman speaker and its first Muslim-American member of Congress.” …

Minnesota Democratic Rep. Keith Ellison is the first Muslim member of Congress. Upon Abdullah’s recognition, he shook hands with his seated neighbors, Reps. John Lewis, Rahm Emanuel and Hoyer.

At the end of the speech when the king offered a traditional Arabic greeting for peace, Ellison vocally responded in kind. He was the only attendee to do so and gave an embarrassed laugh as people turned to look at him.

Saving The Planet, Limousine Liberal Style

“What Mr. Gore has asked is that every family calculate their carbon footprint and try to reduce it as much as possible. Once they have done so, he then advocates that they purchase offsets, as the Gore’s do, to bring their footprint down to zero.” — Al Gore

First, you try to reduce how much energy you are using (which is fine) and then you pay some scam artist to “bring (your) footprint down to zero.

In other words, if you are a greenie like Al Gore, you can spend your days lecturing other Americans about their energy consumption and global warming while simultaneously using 20 times as much energy as the average person. Yet, because you’re rich enough to spend money on “carbon reduction” AKA as paying people to assuage your guilt, your energy usage isn’t supposed to count somehow. Even the less deluded liberals realize that’s complete bunkum.

ACLU demands visas for terror advocates

AP: ACLU defends terror supporters’ right to U.S. access

NEW YORK (AP) — A civil rights group asked a judge Friday to find it unconstitutional for the federal government to exclude a prominent Muslim scholar or anyone else from the United States on the grounds that they may have endorsed or espoused terrorism.

In case it didn’t sink in the first time:

NEW YORK (AP) — A civil rights group asked a judge Friday to find it unconstitutional for the federal government to exclude a prominent Muslim scholar or anyone else from the United States on the grounds that they may have endorsed or espoused terrorism.

Got it?

The American Civil Liberties Union filed the papers attacking the policy in U.S. District Court in Manhattan. The group included in its submissions a written declaration in which the scholar, Tariq Ramadan, said he has always “opposed terrorism not only through my words but also through my actions.”

The ACLU said schools and organizations who want to invite Ramadan and others into the United States are concerned about what is known as the ideological exclusion provision.

It said an entry in the State Department’s Foreign Affairs Manual says that the provision is directed at those who have voiced “irresponsible expressions of opinion.”

As a sovereign nation, the United States has the right to bar anyone for any reason entry to our country. Advocating Islamic terrorism is probably at the top of the list of good reasons.
