Fowler’s blog on Sen. Barack Obama’s campaign website features a post titled “Unleashing America from Injustice,” in which he says he “was completely distraught after discovering the term-homosexual-was added to the bible, in 1976, and then removed, in 2001 and 2006, without any consideration to the many victims who committed suicide or were murdered because of their sexual preference of homosexuality.”
A homosexual man who has a blog on Sen. Barack Obama’s campaign website is suing two major Christian publishers for violating his constitutional rights and causing emotional pain, because the Bible versions they publish refer to homosexuality as a sin.
Bradley LaShawn Fowler, 39, of Canton, Mich., is seeking $60 million from Zondervan and another $10 million from Thomas Nelson Publishing in lawsuits filed in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, the Grand Rapids Press reported.
Fowler filed his claim against Grand Rapids-based Zondervan Monday, alleging its Bibles’ references to homosexuality as a sin have made him an outcast from his family and contributed to physical discomfort and periods of “demoralization, chaos and bewilderment,” the paper said.
He filed suit against Tennessee publisher Thomas Nelson in June.
Zondervan says that even if Fowler’s claim is credible, he’s suing the wrong party. A company spokesman told WOOD-TV in Grand Rapids that Zondervan doesn’t translate the Bible or own the copyright for any of the translations but relies, instead, on the “scholarly judgment of credible translation committees.”

A 5-year-old Los Angeles boy is fighting for his life after police say he was severely tortured with burns and food deprivation by his lesbian mother and her live-in girlfriend.
Officials say the child has countless cigarette burns all over his body, including his genitals, and can’t open his hands because he was forced to put them flat on a hot stove.
The boy was also repeatedly beaten and forced to sit in his own urine, police said.
“In my time in policing in 27 years, I have never seen anybody with these kinds of injuries that has lived,” Los Angeles Police Department First Assistant Chief James McDonnell said. “And this kid must have a tremendous will to live to be able to still hang on despite what he’s been through.”
The abuse was “akin to a level of torture we hope our military personnel would never encounter,” said Lt. Vincent Neglia of the LAPD’s Abused Child Unit.
Other abuse the boy suffered included being denied food and water, as well as being beaten while suspended from a door with his hands above his head.
Now banned from expressing moral opposition to homosexuality
The Canadian government has ordered a Christian pastor to renounce his faith and never again express moral opposition to homosexuality, according to a new report.
In a decision handed down just days ago in the penalty phase of the quasi-judicial proceedings run by the Alberta Human Rights Tribunal, evangelical pastor Stephen Boisson was banned from expressing his biblical perspective of homosexuality and ordered to pay $5,000 for “damages for pain and suffering” as well as apologize to the activist who complained of being hurt.
According to a report from Pete Vere at the Catholic Exchange, the penalty could foreshadow the possible fate of Father Alphonse de Valk, who also has cited the biblical perspective on homosexuality in the nation’s debate over same-sex “marriage” and now faces HRC charges.
Boisson had written a letter to the editor of his local Red Deer newspaper in 2002 denouncing the advance of homosexual activism as “wicked” and stating: “Children as young as five and six years of age are being subjected to psychologically and physiologically damaging pro-homosexual literature and guidance in the public school system; all under the fraudulent guise of equal rights.”

Hmmm let me see, my view now is frankly I really don’t give a shit if gay folks marry.
I use to be dead set against it, not because I have any issues with gay folks, but because of the increased cost to society in general since we all know heterosexual folks get divorced at an alarming clip imaging throwing in the manic and confused state of same sex unions.
Years from now courts will be overrun with gay couple fighting over sperm donation children and which one gets to keep the feather dress or the L-Word DVD set.
Let me just say what few will say, after all I is Snoop, I have said this before, men are already fucked up in the head, gay men are fucked up hetero men on steroids.
Men by their very nature want to stick their dick into any nasty hole they can find and so you want me to believe that two gay men who want to marry is not the toxic mix we all already know it will be. THEN throw in the fact that two screwed up gay men want to marry because they want to I guess eventually try and adopt and raise a child. I’m just not cool with that.
Now I somewhat jokingly said that since I watch the L-word, although Mrs. Snoop will say I only watch it because of the all the girl on girl action which is not true! I do follow the story line. Ah but Snoop is sad because next season will be the last, SHIT!

Anywho, I have never thought and still have never had a gay individual prove to me that the whole gay marriage thing is as big a priority amongst the gay population and some make it out to be.
I have never believed that it is about couples wanting to be together based on love and all of they mushy romance stuff.
The gay folks who push the gay marriage agenda are only seeking “societal approval” and want to be viewed as “normal” as possible. Hence the push to put same sex materials in school textbooks and wanting to shove the gay agenda down our collective throats. I don’t have an issue with folks being gay, but I’m sorry but nobody will ever, EVER be able to convince me that it is “normal.” However I understand that the mind is a complex apparatus.
From individuals having phobias, to mental health issues, musical geniuses, people who are serial killers to people with off the charts I.Q.’s. Someone’s sexual preference is simply part of that grey matter processing. Persecuting someone based on that is silly, helping people to “understand” it is cool, but it’s not NORMAL, no more than some man with a predisposition to be attractive to young kids is NORMAL or having some old fuck marry and have kids with 20 retarded women in some cult is NORMAL.
Marriage can be a difficult endeavor and must be worked at and few of us are lucky enough to find the right person. Mrs. Snoop and I are more than some “married” couple we are indeed a team and best friends.
Hell I can’t know what goes on in folks hearts and minds but if two people with the same “equipment” can have what Mrs. Snoop and I have then cool. Marriage for some is an attempt at some measure of normalcy or to appear normal to society.
Also I have a very specific bias, I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and watched as gay folks routinely made asses of themselves trying to shock society into accepting who they were when frankly most of us don’t give a shit and folks like me only became repulsed by their small yellow bus behavior.
Gay men wearing feathers and jacking off each other in public is not the way to convince an average dude like myself that I should take gay issues seriously and try to convince me that these moronic crazy ass people should get married? C’mon!!!

The retired general who asked about gays and lesbians serving in the military at the CNN/YouTube Republican debate on Wednesday is a co-chairman of Hillary Rodham Clinton’s National Military Veterans group.Retired Brig. Airline ‘discount’ charges heterosexual customers more

10% penalty applied if buyers don’t get tickets from ‘gay’ site
Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air have announced a new program that will charge heterosexuals 10 percent extra for their air travel to specific locations during the Christmas season.
The company actually offers the 10 percent as a discount but only if the purchaser obtains the ticket through a “gay” page of the company’s website, a location not typically patronized by families seeking travel arrangements, according to an Idaho activist who was distressed by the offering.
Bryan Fischer, of the Idaho Values Alliance, told WND the company boasts of its “nondiscrimination” policies, but, “here they are blatantly discriminating against heterosexuals in their pricing structure.”
Word of the discount came through an airline employee, who needed to remain anonymous because of concerns over retaliation. The employee reported the company had sent e-mails out announcing the “very soft launch” of the new promotion.
“They are giving preferences to male passengers who want to wear dresses on the planes, and giving them preference over married couples,” Fischer said, noting families typically buy more tickets than individuals or pairs traveling together.
“It just doesn’t seem like it’s smart business for them to stick their thumb in the eye of the main passengers,” he told WND.
He said he had called the company’s reservations number and the clerk was unaware of the program and it didn’t come up on the general list of discounts available to reservations agents, but he did verify that the “gay” page discount was valid – but only by going through the “gay” page.
“The only way you could take advantage of this is to self-identify as a homosexual, lesbian, bisexual or transgender. Otherwise you’re out of luck,” Fischer told WND.
The actual program, he noted, doesn’t demand a person be homosexual, but is set up so that only those deliberately looking for “gay” travel options would find it.
A spokeswoman for the airline, Amanda Bielawski, returned WND’s call requesting a comment, but didn’t answer questions, noting that she didn’t know about the program. Then she quizzed WND on who had given the news organization information on the program.
The airline also at some point after WND inquired changed the headline on the page from “Gay Travel” to “New York City on Sale” but it still appeared to be available only through a direct “gay travel” web page, and couldn’t be located through the airline’s general reservations web site. It wasn’t listed on the page that was supposed to reference “promo/all_deals”. The promotion appeared only under a page citing “gaytravel/LGBT-NYC-Sale.”

One threat involved calls to Liberty Baptist College in Lynchburg in 1983, warning that a $10,000 reward had been offered for Falwell’s “assassination” and that it was to be carried out by “gays in Cincinnati.” One caller advised, “I know this is true, because my brother is one of them.” Said another, “I intend to be the one to collect that money.”
No less disturbing than the assassination threats (and attempt, if you count the scorpion) is that WaPo phrases the item and frames the issue by couching in reckless banality both the temptation and the threat to commit murder. The blog entry, called simply, “Exclusive: Jerry Falwell’s FBI File,” begins:
The Rev. Jerry Falwell , founder of the Moral Majority, stirred up passions with his attacks on abortion and homosexuality. Now, the FBI’s confidential file on Falwell, who died in May at age 73, reveals that he also stirred up death threats….[emphases added]
Fortunately such phrasing hints at a way out of its own epistemological impasse. For despite the authority implied by the active form of the verb “to stir up,” only something pre-existing can be set in motion. Which is to say that neither Falwell nor the Devil made those ostensibly “passionate” homosexuals do it. (Granted, the Reverend might have disagreed with my take on the Devil’s role in the matter.) While it’s true that people prone to passion will be found on both sides of any debate, making death threats catapults one into a category beyond the pale of what is acceptable (indeed, of what is possible) as civil discourse. Death threats destroy civil discourse. Like that bullying which taunts and torments another who is perceived to be “different,” death threats against a public personality convey an aggressive contempt for the targeted individual. They also convey a most cowardly disdain because they attempt — always in futility, I might add — to coerce through terror what one shrinks from achieving through debate.

Another incident the mainstream media found unfit to print was the “gender switch” day planned at Adams Middle School in Brentwood, California. Fortunately, it has now been canceled, apparently due to the efforts of a horrified parent and the Pacific Justice Institute:
The mother of a seventh-grade student at Adams Middle School was alarmed when she heard that on the last day of the school’s “Spirit Week,” students were being encouraged to dress like the opposite sex. Perhaps even more disturbingly, parents were given virtually no advance notice from the school and found out about the event after flyers were posted throughout the campus. When this parent met with the principal to express her concerns, she was told the event would continue this Friday as planned, and she could keep her son home from school if he did not want to participate. The parent contacted Pacific Justice Institute on Monday, which advised her on enlisting other parents’ support and communicating with the school. PJI also began laying the groundwork to hold the school accountable to the public if it did not reverse course by Tuesday.
In a 180-degree turnaround, the flyers posted about the gender switch day had disappeared by Tuesday morning, and the school confirmed that the event had been canceled. The school is now encouraging students to wear school colors on Friday. Parents expressed relief that their middle-school students would not be pressured to cross-dress or be subjected to a sexually-charged school environment.
Middle school means sixth through eighth grade (ages ∼11–13) — just the right time for government authorities to help kids discover their inner transvestite, unless parents raise a big enough stink.
Check out the Washington Post’s reporting on Obama’s campaign push at black churches–part of a “three-city gospel concert series over the weekend” throughout South Carolina. You’ll motice how there is none of the anti-religious alarmism that regularly infuses the ominous coverage of Republicans and the “Religious Right.” Whereas religious conservatives are cast as brainwashed sheep (see David Limbaugh’s excellent “Persecution“), Obama’s followers of faith are treated respectfully. (CNSNews.com) - The Miller Brewing Company issued a formal apology on Friday for any offense caused by the use of its logos on a poster promoting the Folsom Street Fair in San Francisco during late September by replacing Jesus and his disciples in Leonardo Da Vinci’s painting of “The Last Supper” with half-naked homosexual sadomasochists.In an email statement sent to Cybercast News Service by Senior Manager of Media Relations Julian Green, the company said it “has taken action to ensure that such an incident will not happen again.”
“Miller has just completed an exhaustive audit of its marketing procedures for approving local marketing and sales sponsorships, and it is implementing plans to tighten its compliance procedures,” the release stated.
“The company has received assurances from its local distributor in San Francisco and from Folsom Street Events that future marketing materials and event activities will fully comply with Miller’s marketing policies and procedures,” the statement added.
“We deeply regret that we did not adhere to our own policies with regard to the Folsom Street Fair,” said Miller Senior Vice President Nehl Horton. “We apologize to everyone we offended as a result. We hope people will forgive us for this serious error and have confidence we will not repeat it.”
“Miller Brewing was never afforded the opportunity to review our Fair poster before it was printed and distributed,” said Andy Copper, board president of Folsom Street Events, which sponsors the “world’s largest leather event” every year. “The approval was made by a third party without Miller’s knowledge and consent.”
