Elitist: Tickets To Obama Speech Require Supporters To ‘Work For Them’

Wednesday, August 13th, 2008

obamabibles.jpg

(Story Source) Democratic supporters are complaining and calling Barack Obama campaign conditions to hear Obama’s speech at the convention “elitist” and saying it equals “blackmail”.

Rocky Mountain News is reporting that Obama tickets come with a catch this year. The catch is that people that wanted to hear Obama’s speech on the last night of the convention, which will be given at the Invesco Field at Mile High in Colorado, must “volunteer” to spend at least 6 hours working for the campaign.

This has some people angered with one man saying he was told he would need to do 12 hours of phone work or canvassing in order to obtain the two tickets he wanted to the event.

When asked if he would be willing to do the work he replied, “hell no” and said those types of conditions were “blackmail”.

A working mother from Centennial by the name of Heather Kreider, expressed her anger and frustration to the Rocky Mountain News, saying that “Democrats need to act like Democrats” and going further to explain her anger by stating, “Democrats work for a living, and they have to work and take care of their families. And they say these are open to those in the community, so they shouldn’t ask people to drop everything in their lives for this.”

Kreider claims these conditions are elitist and not fair and says the Democrats need to practice what they preach.

Still, Kreider got a message telling her that she had to do six hours of volunteer work by Friday if she wanted a chance at a ticket. Kreider said she will not do the work.

“Absolutely not,” she said. “Now it’s pure principal. I was a Hillary Clinton supporter, and this is literally my first touch with the Obama campaign. And it’s just disappointing.”

To make matters worse, it is reported that the telephone recording also makes it clear that satisfying the work requirement still does not guarantee someone to be eligible for a ticket.

***
Oh I’m certain this story will change as we get closer to the convention… or as soon as more pro Hillary bloggers start circulating this story. If the Obama fans don’t get on top of this story it will be a big PR disaster for the campaign.
Having his speech in the football stadium was already a very stupid idea anyway.

For those of you who still don’t believe that Obama is an elitist fuck, damm how much more proof do y’all need!?

Elizabeth Edwards still trying to con the kook leftists on Kos

Sunday, August 10th, 2008

edwards.jpg
This is from Newsbusters too.

Want to know just how beholden Democrats are to the ultra-left members of their Party?

Well, consider that Elizabeth Edwards actually posted an apology for her husband’s affair — as well as her own complicity in hiding it from people that were working for and supporting his presidential campaign — at the extreme-left website Daily Kos.

This does not shock me at all. Both are scamming fraud fucks. John Edwards specifically wanted his interview to be on Nightline so he could delay the media blitz (And protect Obama, he is in Hawaii to avoid the media blitz, good timing!) and now Elizabeth “I have cancer, feel sorry for me” Edwards posts this bullshit apology on the ultra left Daily Kos, classic liberalism good move cater to your lunatic left fans first because they are the only ones dumb enough to give your idiot asses money and buy any propaganda shit you fraud fucks will say.
Liz knows only the loony left would be sympathetic to her situation and since she is going to stand by her man this simply political cover for the Edwards.
She is as much a fake and a fraud as her husband and if the Breck Girl’s words are true and he told her back in 2006 about the affair but she still went to campaign for this idiot fuck and scammed millions of idiot liberals out of their money she is just as much a crook fraud as her husband. Look for her to try to become another Hillary.

The Newsbusters post continues..

As you might imagine, the Netroots are quite angered by this, and feel totally betrayed. One former Kossack, Lee Stranahan, who got banned last weekend for having the nerve to post on this subject, spoke out at the Huffington Post Friday:

I believe that the Edwards are both sincere in their stated positions about poverty, health care and other issues.

Ok this part is bullshit in case y’all don’t remember Elizabeth Edwards said this:

Elizabeth Edwards made national news when she criticized the family’s across-the-road neighbor, Monty Johnson, for pulling a gun on trespassers and for not maintaining his “slummy” property.

“I don’t want my kids anywhere near some guy who when he doesn’t like somebody, the first thing he does is pull a gun out,” she said at the time. “It scares the business out of me.”

Don’t forget John Edwards said this:

“…I think every single candidate for president, Republican and Democratic have lives, personal lives, that indicate something about what kind of human being they are. And I think it is a fair evaluation for America to engage in to look at what kind of human beings each of us are, and what kind of president we’d make.”

and this

I think this President has shown a remarkable disrespect for his office, for the moral dimensions of leadership, for his friends, for his wife, for his precious daughter. It is breathtaking to me the level to which that disrespect has risen.

They are classic liberals, high brow, sanctimonious they don’t care about the poor or health care. They are rich if they gave a fuck about these issues you DON’T RUN FOR PUBLIC OFFICE TO ADDRESS THESE ISSUES, give money, start a foundation, work with groups dealing with the issue.

BUT Nooooooooo just like most typical liberals they want public adoration for the work they do. But when it does not work out they do shit like this:

Edwards ending college program

Former North Carolina Sen. John Edwards is pulling the plug on a scholarship program he started at an Eastern North Carolina high school — a program he once promised would be a model for the nation under an Edwards presidency.
Edwards’ presidential hopes have evaporated. And he recently informed Greene County officials that he would end the pilot program at Greene Central High School.

I’m sorry I got off track, liberals and their blatant fake fraud ass hypocrisy just makes me want to puke! Back to the dude from the Huffington Post

I can even believe that the reason they wanted Edwards to become president was to promote that agenda. To the extent that’s true, I totally agree with their ends but their means were so shortsighted, reckless, and potentially damaging to their own agenda that they can’t be ignored.

Just taking the Edwards current statements at their words, I am left with a very uncomfortable truth — both John and Elizabeth Edwards cynically used their marriage as a means to help John Edwards win an election. Right now, they are hoping that the emotional goodwill that they built up from their supporters will carry them through.

I’m sure I’ll get some angry comments here but if you’re an Edwards supporter, let me put this bluntly; if you gave John and Elizabeth Edwards time, money, support, or goodwill, they played you.

They made a conscious decision to make their relationship a focus throughout the campaign. That emotional goodwill you feel for them? They not only let you feel, they took actions and made statements specifically so you would feel it.

BINGO

What John Edwards did was not earth shattering or shocking but the fact is the BOTH Mr and Mrs. Edwards conned millions of folks to donate money for his sham campaign and again put the Democratic Party in jeopardy all without a hint of remorse.
His wife knew he was a cheating piece of shit fraud and stood side by side with this piece of shit fraud dude. She is equally as guilty and complicit in the fraud.

Is Nancy Pelosi Really This Stupid? Yes! Yes she is!

“What you saw in the Congress this week was the war dance of the handmaidens of the oil companies. That’s what you saw on the Republican side of the aisle. We have a planet to save. We have an economy to grow. And we can do that if we keep our — our balance in all of this and not just say, but for drilling in unprotected — in these protected areas offshore, we would have lower gas prices.”

Did You Know, Climate Change Hurts Blacks More!?

Tuesday, July 29th, 2008

Exactly the type of gas guzzling Negro vehicles environazis are trying to get rid of!
pimpride1.png
Oh my God this is funny Negro Congressman James Clyburn stated that Climate Change hurts blacks more and Global Warming is now an issue of race.
Goodie, Goodie now we get to see the environmental wackos clash with Negroes.

I mentioned awhile back that my co-worker is a flaming environmental liberal and she stated that rising fuel prices is a good thing and that she hopes to see $5.00 - $6.00 or higher per gallon gas because she like every enviro-terrorists want to bring America and its capitalistic greedy planet destroying ways to its knees and to force you energy wasting greedy pieces of shit pigs to get out of your SUV’s, riding lawnmowers, multiple flat screen TV’s, Arghhh!

Back to Negros, Global Warming, y’all are screwed, told you liberals did not like Negros.
I guess the enviro-terrorists figure if they take the fast food joints out the hood, make heating and cooling Negros homes too expensive, force the remaining car driving Negros back on the bus and force darkies back into darkness because folks will not be able to pay their light or cable bills they might be persuaded to get back on the boat and head back to Africa!

I know, I know insensitive… bad Snoop bad!

Here is the story link at Business & Media Institute

Climate change is no longer just an environmental issue. It’s now an issue of race, according to global warming activists and policy makers.

“It is critical our community be an integral and active part of the debate because African-Americans are disproportionately impacted by the effects of climate change economically, socially and through our health and well-being,” House Majority Whip James Clyburn, D-S.C., said July 29.

Clyburn spoke at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C., to help launch the Commission to Engage African-Americans on Climate Change, a project of the Joint Center for Political and Economic Studies.

The launch came on the heels of a separate report by the Environmental Justice and Climate Change Initiative (EJCC), which claims African-Americans are more vulnerable to the effects of climate change. EJCC describes itself as a “climate justice” advocacy group.

Because of you evil energy sucking planet destroying white people we Negros are doomed to suffer!!

“Though far less responsible for climate change, African-Americans are significantly more vulnerable to its effects than non-Hispanic whites,” the report says. “Health, housing, economic well-being, culture, and social stability are harmed from such manifestations of climate change as storms, floods, and climate variability.

“African-Americans are also more vulnerable to higher energy bills, unemployment, recessions caused by global energy price shocks, and a greater economic burden from military operations designed to protect the flow of oil to the U.S,” it says.

Any challenging his superior Negro logic will of course be branded as RACIST!

First John Kerry now asshole Steven King says military full of illiterate folks

Wednesday, May 7th, 2008

REMEMBER: Kerry Belittles U.S. Troops

Fucking asshole Steven King insults soldiers - Yup his message board is closed

#######

I don’t want to sound like an ad–a public service ad on TV–but the fact is that if you can read you can walk into a job later on. If you don’t then you got the Army, Iraq, I don’t know, something like that. It’s not as bright. So that’s my little commercial for that.

King thinks the troops stationed in Iraq are illiterate, uneducated people who couldn’t get jobs in the U.S. Nice. Real nice.

In 2005 a Pentagon official addressed the myth of the stupid soldier [via Gateway Pundit]:

“They are so clearly a cut above America,” Bill Carr, acting deputy undersecretary of defense for military personnel policy, said of today’s recruits.

Carr bristles when he hears unfounded charges that the men and women entering the military are less educated, less affluent or less likely than other 18- to 24-year-olds to have alternatives to military service. Rather, a combination of volunteerism and commitment to service is prompting young people to enlist, Carr said, noting that a measure of shrewdness plays into their decision. “They are planning their future and considering what part we can play in it,” he said.

Carr likes to think of himself as a “myth buster,” helping break stereotypes he said are flat-out wrong and cheat servicemembers out of the pride they’ve earned and deserve.

From Newsbusters: Horror Author Tells Fans to Email NB, Shuts Down Discussion of Anti-military Remarks

The saga of horror novelist Stephen King’s disgraceful comments about America’s military took an interesting turn Monday when shortly after instructing visitors to his website to send me a message stating “Hi, Noel—Stephen King says to shut up and I agree,” his own message boards were shut down.

This followed the creation of a number of threads by members that wanted to comment about King’s remarks.

The cover-story for shutting down the boards came from the Moderator in a thread entitled “Stephen King Insults Soldiers“:

Candidate on a High Horse

By George Will at the Washington Post

Barack Obama may be exactly what his supporters suppose him to be. Not, however, for reasons most Americans will celebrate.

Obama may be the fulfillment of modern liberalism. Explaining why many working-class voters are “bitter,” he said they “cling” to guns, religion and “antipathy to people who aren’t like them” because of “frustrations.” His implication was that their primitivism, superstition and bigotry are balm for resentments they feel because of America’s grinding injustice.

By so speaking, Obama does fulfill liberalism’s transformation since Franklin Roosevelt. What had been under FDR a celebration of America and the values of its working people has become a doctrine of condescension toward those people and the supposedly coarse and vulgar country that pleases them.

When a supporter told Adlai Stevenson, the losing Democratic presidential nominee in 1952 and 1956, that thinking people supported him, Stevenson said, “Yes, but I need to win a majority.” When another supporter told Stevenson, “You educated the people through your campaign,” Stevenson replied, “But a lot of people flunked the course.” Michael Barone, in “Our Country: The Shaping of America From Roosevelt to Reagan,” wrote: “It is unthinkable that Roosevelt would ever have said those things or that such thoughts ever would have crossed his mind.” Barone added: “Stevenson was the first leading Democratic politician to become a critic rather than a celebrator of middle-class American culture — the prototype of the liberal Democrat who would judge ordinary Americans by an abstract standard and find them wanting.”

Stevenson, like Obama, energized young, educated professionals for whom, Barone wrote, “what was attractive was not his platform but his attitude.” They sought from Stevenson “not so much changes in public policy as validation of their own cultural stance.” They especially rejected “American exceptionalism, the notion that the United States was specially good and decent,” rather than — in Michelle Obama’s words — “just downright mean.”

The emblematic book of the new liberalism was “The Affluent Society” by Harvard economist John Kenneth Galbraith. He argued that the power of advertising to manipulate the bovine public is so powerful that the law of supply and demand has been vitiated. Manufacturers can manufacture in the American herd whatever demand the manufacturers want to supply. Because the manipulable masses are easily given a “false consciousness” (another category, like religion as the “opiate” of the suffering masses, that liberalism appropriated from Marxism), four things follow:

First, the consent of the governed, when their behavior is governed by their false consciousnesses, is unimportant. Second, the public requires the supervision of a progressive elite which, somehow emancipated from false consciousness, can engineer true consciousness. Third, because consciousness is a reflection of social conditions, true consciousness is engineered by progressive social reforms. Fourth, because people in the grip of false consciousness cannot be expected to demand or even consent to such reforms, those reforms usually must be imposed, for example, by judicial fiats.

The iconic public intellectual of liberal condescension was Columbia University historian Richard Hofstadter, who died in 1970 but whose spirit still permeated that school when Obama matriculated there in 1981. Hofstadter pioneered the rhetorical tactic that Obama has revived with his diagnosis of working-class Democrats as victims — the indispensable category in liberal theory. The tactic is to dismiss rather than refute those with whom you disagree.

Obama’s dismissal is: Americans, especially working-class conservatives, are unable, because of their false consciousness, to deconstruct their social context and embrace the liberal program. Today that program is to elect Obama, thereby making his wife at long last proud of America.

Hofstadter dismissed conservatives as victims of character flaws and psychological disorders — a “paranoid style” of politics rooted in “status anxiety,” etc. Conservatism rose on a tide of votes cast by people irritated by the liberalism of condescension.

Obama voiced such liberalism with his “bitterness” remarks to an audience of affluent San Franciscans. Perfect.

When Democrats convened in San Francisco in 1984, en route to losing 49 states, Jeane Kirkpatrick — a former FDR Democrat then serving in the Cabinet of another such, Ronald Reagan — said “San Francisco Democrats” are people who “blame America first.” Today they blame Americans for America being “downright mean.”

Obama’s apology for his embittering sociology of “bitterness” — “I didn’t say it as well as I should have” — occurred in Muncie, Ind. Perfect.

In 1929 and 1937, Robert and Helen Lynd published two seminal books of American sociology. They were sympathetic studies of a medium-size manufacturing city they called “Middletown,” coping — reasonably successfully, optimistically and harmoniously — with life’s vicissitudes. “Middletown” was in fact Muncie, Ind.
