McCain’s Assault on Reason - Another Al Gore for president.

Wednesday, May 14th, 2008

book2.JPGBy Dr. Roy Spencer - From National Review

John McCain’s global-warming speech on Monday made it clear that there will be no presidential candidate this year willing to question the assertion that global warming (a.k.a. “climate change”) is manmade, or the assertion that we can fix global warming by passing a few laws.

Along with Clinton and Obama, McCain’s proposal to attack global warming now gives voters three choices for a car color — as long as it is black. Like Clinton and Obama, McCain’s proposal involves a “cap and trade” mechanism to legislatively limit CO2 emissions in the coming years, with the free market minimizing the economic damage by allowing a trading of emission credits between companies. He also includes an allowance for carbon offsets, although everyone (except Al Gore) believes this to be more smoke-and-mirrors than a real-world strategy for reducing carbon emissions.

What worries me is the widespread misperception that we can do anything substantial about carbon emissions without seriously compromising economic growth. To be sure, forcing a reduction in CO2 emissions will help spur investment in new energy technologies. But so does a price tag of $126 for a barrel of oil. Finding a replacement for carbon-based energy will require a huge investment of wealth, and destroying wealth is not a very good first step toward that goal.

When the public finds out how much any legislation that punishes energy use is going to cost them, with no guarantee that anything we do will have a measurable impact on future climate, there will be a revolt just like the one now materializing in the U.K. and the EU. At some point, as they are faced with the stark reality that mankind’s requirement for an abundant source of energy cannot simply be legislated out of existence, the public will begin asking, “Just how sure are we that humans are causing global warming?”

And this is where the science establishment has, in my view, betrayed the public’s trust.

Even though there has never been a single scientific paper published that has ruled out natural variability for most of the warming we’ve seen since 1850, Big Science has managed to convince politicians and much of the public that the science is settled. Apparently, our addition of nine molecules of carbon dioxide to each 100,000 molecules of air over the last 150 years can now be blamed for anything and everything we choose. Hurricanes, tornadoes, heat waves, floods, glaciers flowing toward the sea…. all of these used to happen naturally, but no more.

The warming that allowed the Vikings to farm in Greenland 1,000 years ago was surely natural. But we are now told that warming in Greenland today is surely manmade. Glaciers retreating in western Canada have revealed evidence of previous forests, showing that warming and cooling cycles do indeed occur, even without SUVs. Yet the SUV is now the scapegoat for retreating glaciers.

McCain pointed to shrinking Arctic sea ice and collapsing Antarctic ice shelves as obvious evidence that humans are to blame, even though the sea ice did the same thing in the 1920s and 1930s, and those ice shelves must break off eventually, as new glacial ice flows toward the sea to take their place.

But McCain has made it clear that the science really does not matter anyway because, even if humans are not to blame for global warming, stopping carbon-dioxide emissions is the right thing to do. And if we had another choice for most of our energy needs, I might be willing to accept such a claim as harmless enough.

But carbon dioxide is necessary for life on Earth, and I have amccainb.jpg difficult time calling something so fundamentally important a “pollutant.” Maybe the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere is higher now than it has been in hundreds of thousands of years. So what? I am increasingly convinced that its influence on climate pales in comparison to the influence that natural climate events like El Niño and the Pacific Decadal Oscillation have on regional climate. Indeed, most of the warming we’ve seen in the last century might well be due to these natural modes of climate variability alone.

The trouble is that no one has been funded by the government to investigate such a possibility, and the mandate for the U.N. Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) is to address manmade climate change — not natural climate change.

So, here we are with bad science ready to support bad policy decisions that will lead to bad economic times ahead, and no presidential candidate who is willing to ask the hard questions. While we hate to be pandered to by politicians, in this case I can only hope that they really are pandering — that this is hot air and not prospective policy.

Look for Obama to plagiarize this old Jimmy Carter energy speech

Primary Sources: The “Crisis of Confidence” Speech July 15, 1979

obamasmilegif.gif

Carter: What I have to say to you now about energy is simple and vitally important.Point one: I am tonight setting a clear goal for the energy policy of the United States. Beginning this moment, this nation will never use more foreign oil than we did in 1977 — never. From now on, every new addition to our demand for energy will be met from our own production and our own conservation. The generation-long growth in our dependence on foreign oil will be stopped dead in its tracks right now and then reversed as we move through the 1980s, for I am tonight setting the further goal of cutting our dependence on foreign oil by one-half by the end of the next decade — a saving of over 4-1/2 million barrels of imported oil per day.

Point two: To ensure that we meet these targets, I will use my presidential authority to set import quotas. I’m announcing tonight that for 1979 and 1980, I will forbid the entry into this country of one drop of foreign oil more than these goals allow. These quotas will ensure a reduction in imports even below the ambitious levels we set at the recent Tokyo summit.

Point three: To give us energy security, I am asking for the most massive peacetime commitment of funds and resources in our nation’s history to develop America’s own alternative sources of fuel — from coal, from oil shale, from plant products for gasohol, from unconventional gas, from the sun.

I propose the creation of an energy security corporation to lead this effort to replace 2-1/2 million barrels of imported oil per day by 1990. The corporation I will issue up to $5 billion in energy bonds, and I especially want them to be in small denominations so that average Americans can invest directly in America’s energy security.

Just as a similar synthetic rubber corporation helped us win World War II, so will we mobilize American determination and ability to win the energy war. Moreover, I will soon submit legislation to Congress calling for the creation of this nation’s first solar bank, which will help us achieve the crucial goal of 20 percent of our energy coming from solar power by the year 2000.

These efforts will cost money, a lot of money, and that is why Congress must enact the windfall profits tax without delay. It will be money well spent. Unlike the billions of dollars that we ship to foreign countries to pay for foreign oil, these funds will be paid by Americans to Americans. These funds will go to fight, not to increase, inflation and unemployment.

Point four: I’m asking Congress to mandate, to require as a matter of law, that our nation’s utility companies cut their massive use of oil by 50 percent within the next decade and switch to other fuels, especially coal, our most abundant energy source.

Point five: To make absolutely certain that nothing stands in the way of achieving these goals, I will urge Congress to create an energy mobilization board which, like the War Production Board in World War II, will have the responsibility and authority to cut through the red tape, the delays, and the endless roadblocks to completing key energy projects.

We will protect our environment. But when this nation critically needs a refinery or a pipeline, we will build it.

Point six: I’m proposing a bold conservation program to involve every state, county, and city and every average American in our energy battle. This effort will permit you to build conservation into your homes and your lives at a cost you can afford.

I ask Congress to give me authority for mandatory conservation and for standby gasoline rationing. To further conserve energy, I’m proposing tonight an extra $10 billion over the next decade to strengthen our public transportation systems. And I’m asking you for your good and for your nation’s security to take no unnecessary trips, to use carpools or public transportation whenever you can, to park your car one extra day per week, to obey the speed limit, and to set your thermostats to save fuel. Every act of energy conservation like this is more than just common sense — I tell you it is an act of patriotism.

Our nation must be fair to the poorest among us, so we will increase aid to needy Americans to cope with rising energy prices. We often think of conservation only in terms of sacrifice. In fact, it is the most painless and immediate way of rebuilding our nation’s strength. Every gallon of oil each one of us saves is a new form of production. It gives us more freedom, more confidence, that much more control over our own lives.

So, the solution of our energy crisis can also help us to conquer the crisis of the spirit in our country. It can rekindle our sense of unity, our confidence in the future, and give our nation and all of us individually a new sense of purpose.

You know we can do it. We have the natural resources. We have more oil in our shale alone than several Saudi Arabias. We have more coal than any nation on Earth. We have the world’s highest level of technology. We have the most skilled work force, with innovative genius, and I firmly believe that we have the national will to win this war.

I do not promise you that this struggle for freedom will be easy. I do not promise a quick way out of our nation’s problems, when the truth is that the only way out is an all-out effort. What I do promise you is that I will lead our fight, and I will enforce fairness in our struggle, and I will ensure honesty. And above all, I will act. We can manage the short-term shortages more effectively and we will, but there are no short-term solutions to our long-range problems. There is simply no way to avoid sacrifice.

Twelve hours from now I will speak again in Kansas City, to expand and to explain further our energy program. Just as the search for solutions to our energy shortages has now led us to a new awareness of our Nation’s deeper problems, so our willingness to work for those solutions in energy can strengthen us to attack those deeper problems.

I will continue to travel this country, to hear the people of America. You can help me to develop a national agenda for the 1980s. I will listen and I will act. We will act together. These were the promises I made three years ago, and I intend to keep them.

Little by little we can and we must rebuild our confidence. We can spend until we empty our treasuries, and we may summon all the wonders of science. But we can succeed only if we tap our greatest resources — America’s people, America’s values, and America’s confidence.

I have seen the strength of America in the inexhaustible resources of our people. In the days to come, let us renew that strength in the struggle for an energy secure nation.

In closing, let me say this: I will do my best, but I will not do it alone. Let your voice be heard. Whenever you have a chance, say something good about our country. With God’s help and for the sake of our nation, it is time for us to join hands in America. Let us commit ourselves together to a rebirth of the American spirit. Working together with our common faith we cannot fail.

Liberal Democrat racism hypocrisy exposed…. AGAIN!

Shocker!… Dems Scream Racism Over Republican Ad Then Are Busted Passing Out Bogus KKK Flyers!

This is suppose to be a racist ad…

Now, the Democrats and their lackeys in the media are screaming “RACISM!”
The New York Times reported:

Hoping to hang on to a Congressional seat in a tight special election here on Tuesday, Republicans in this mostly white and very conservative district are trying to make the vote more a referendum on Senator Barack Obama than on the candidates themselves.

In advertisements and speeches, Republicans have repeatedly associated Travis Childers, the white Democrat threatening to take the seat away from the Republican Party, with Mr. Obama. Republicans say Mr. Obama’s liberal values are out of place in the district. But for many Democratic veterans here, the tactic is a throwback to the old and unwelcome politics of race, a standby in Mississippi campaigning.

Former Gov. William Winter, a Democrat, expressed shock at the current campaign.

“I am appalled that this blatant appeal to racial prejudice is still being employed,” said Mr. Winter, who lost the 1967 governor’s race after his segregationist opponent circulated handbills showing blacks listening to one of his speeches. Mr. Winter went on to win the governor’s office 12 years later.

What happened to the La Raza/The Race earmark?

Friday, May 9th, 2008
Here’s an update on the La Raza/The Race $25 million earmark that had been tucked into Barney Frank’s massive housing bailout bill. (Previous coverage here and here.)

It was stripped out of the final version of the bill that passed the House yesterday. But that doesn’t mean they won’t get their money:

The original bill directed $100 million to four community groups, including $25 million each for housing programs run by the National Council of La Raza and the Urban League. Republicans balked, saying the money was meant to help Democrats in an election year.

The language was stripped out before the bill came to the floor. But La Raza, the Urban League and scores of community organizations are still in line for housing-development money, plus $230 million for the remainder of this year and another $230 million for fiscal 2009 for mortgage counseling.

“It’s a political-ally slush fund,” said Rep. Jeb Hensarling, (R., Texas), chairman of the conservative Republican Study Committee, which opposed the package.

As I’ve reported previously, the left-wing mortgage counseling racket is and will continue to be well-funded by the Dems while Republicans sit back and do nothing.

Hillary Clinton: “White people support me”

Friday, May 9th, 2008

kkkhill1.JPG

By Kathy Kiely and Jill Lawrence - LINKHillary Rodham Clinton vowed Wednesday to continue her quest for the Democratic nomination, arguing she would be the stronger nominee because she appeals to a wider coalition of voters — including whites who have not supported Barack Obama in recent contests.

“I have a much broader base to build a winning coalition on,” she said in an interview with USA TODAY. As evidence, Clinton cited an Associated Press article “that found how Sen. Obama’s support among working, hard-working Americans, white Americans, is weakening again, and how whites in both states who had not completed college were supporting me.”

“There’s a pattern emerging here,” she said.

Clinton’s blunt remarks about race came a day after primaries in Indiana and North Carolina dealt symbolic and mathematical blows to her White House ambitions. The Obama campaign, looking toward locking up the nomination, stepped up pressure on superdelegates who have the decisive votes in their race.

In both states, Clinton won six of 10 white voters, according to surveys of people as they left polling places.

Obama spokesman Bill Burton said that in Indiana, Obama split working-class voters with Clinton and won a higher percentage of white voters than in Ohio in March. He said Obama will be the strongest nominee because he appeals “to Americans from every background and all walks of life. These statements from Sen. Clinton are not true and frankly disappointing.”

Clinton rejected any idea that her emphasis on white voters could be interpreted as racially divisive. “These are the people you have to win if you’re a Democrat in sufficient numbers to actually win the election. Everybody knows that.”

Larry Sabato, head of the University of Virginia Center for Politics, said Clinton’s comment was a “poorly worded” variation on the way analysts have been “slicing and dicing the vote in racial terms.”

However, he said her primary support doesn’t prove she’s more electable. Either Democrat will get “the vast majority” of the other’s primary election votes in a general election, he said.

Clinton lost North Carolina by 15 percentage points and won Indiana by 2 points after competing full-out in both states. She had loaned the campaign $6.4 million in the past month. She said she might lend more.

“We should finish the contests we have and see where we stand after they’re over,” she said, referring to the six remaining primaries that will end June 3.

There were signs of unrest Wednesday, even among Clinton allies. California Sen. Dianne Feinstein wondered to The Hill, a Capitol Hill newspaper, “whether she can get the delegates that she needs.” Former South Dakota senator George McGovern, whose 1972 presidential bid gave Clinton her first political experience, switched his support from Clinton to Obama.

Cat Fight at Tennessee Guerilla Women on this post: Indiana/NC Primary Drama: Brazile and Begala Slug It Out On CNN (Video)

#####Some commentary…######

Donna Brazile is full of shit. She wants Obama and that’s that. She is working against Clinton. What makes me sad is when black women get that black male in charge they will find out just like white women have found out, that men, regardless of what race don’t give a damn about women. - Kitty Glendower

Kitty: You are insane. Your comment about black women and black men is out of bounds and offensive. -  Angry Black Guy

Perhaps you should ask Kitty what color she is!!! - CarolynKB

ABG, you need to STFU! Calling a woman insane for having an opinion has been a misogynist trademark since the beginning of time. Study history moron. The black family has been split apart since slavery. (WTF!!) Black women have not had the opportunity en masse to live the dynamics of a patriarchal sanctioned husband/wife marriage. Not en masse. Look up the marriage rate for black men and black women. Black men are not marrying black women at the rate white men marry white women (or have been). Marriage has been sold as something favourable. Therefore many black women do transfer their struggles in life to not having a husband and imagine that life will be better with a husband. Black men are famous for attacking black women by accusing black women of not supporting black men. So it is a very strong possibility that black women are supporting Barack Obama somewhere in their subconscious to make amends to past accusations (the accusation of abandoning black men) and in a hope that if a black man is president other black men will follow by example. (WTF!!!) However, Obama is the wrong black man. He is an opportunist and he will lead by example exactly the way his community building has led in Southside Chicago. Which has been what? What exactly is the current murder count in Southside Chicago? What exactly is the current poverty level in Southside Chicago? What exactly is the unemployment rate for black men in Southside Chicago? That’s what I thought. Obama is a pipe dream. And I am sad for all the people who have placed all of their hopes and dreams into an empty suit. If he manages to swindle his way into the white house, we will just have four more years of George Bush. But yak all you want, I cannot bother with you, the racist accusations are getting old, especially when you don’t have a fucking clue who I am or what my life has been. Work with women trying to get their GEDs every day and then come back and tell me what many women’s hopes and dreams are and how promises have been made and broken by men hundreds and hundreds and thousands of times already. - Kitty Glendower

9) “You know, the Republicans are not very friendly to different kinds of people. They’re a pretty monolithic party. Pretty much, they all behave the same, and they all look the same. … It’s pretty much a white Christian party.” –speaking about the lack of outreach to minority communities by political parties

8) “I still want to be the candidate for guys with Confederate flags in their pickup trucks.”

7) “I’m a metrosexual.” –employing the buzz phrase for straight men who are in touch with their feminine sides, then later admitting he didn’t know what the term means

4) “This president is not interested in being a good president.

He’s interested in some complicated psychological situation that he has with his father.”

3) “Now that we’re on dog pee, we can have an interesting conversation about that. I do not recommend drinking urine…but if you drink water straight from the river, you have a greater chance of getting an infection than you do if you drink urine.” —teaching an eight-grade science class in La Crosse, Wisconsin

2) “You think people can work all day and then pick up their kids at child care or wherever and get home and still manage to sandwich in an eight-hour vote? Well Republicans, I guess can do that. Because a lot of them have never made an honest living in their lives.”

1) “Not only are we going to New Hampshire … we’re going to South Carolina and Oklahoma and Arizona and North Dakota and New Mexico, and we’re going to California and Texas and New York! And we’re going to South Dakota and Oregon and Washington and Michigan. And then we’re going to Washington, D.C. to take back the White House, Yeeeeeaaaaaargh!” –Iowa concession speech

Nancy Pelosi Makes Up Quotes From The Bible

Friday, April 25th, 2008

pelosi-clown.jpg

(link) House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) is fond of quoting a particular passage of Scripture. The quote, however, does not appear in the Bible and is fictional, according to biblical scholars.

In her April 22 Earth Day news release, Pelosi said, The Bible tells us in the Old Testament, “To minister to the needs of God’s creation is an act of worship. To ignore those needs is to dishonor the God who made us.”  On this Earth Day, and every day, let us pledge to our children, and our children’s children, that they will have clean air to breathe, clean water to drink, and the opportunity to experience the wonders of nature.

Cybercast News Service repeatedly queried the speaker’s office for two days to determine where the alleged Bible quote is found. Thus far, no one has responded.

Claude Mariottini, a professor of Old Testament at Northern Baptist Theological Seminary, told Cybercast News Service the passage not only doesn’t exist - it’s fictional.

“It is not in the Bible,”  Mariottini said. There is nothing that even approximates that.

In the age of Google, the internet and blogs how dumb do you have to be as a politician to just start making up quotes from the most-published books of all time?

######

Cybercast News Service has learned that Pelosi has repeatedly used the quote:– In December 2005, in a Christmas message to the U.S. House of Representatives, Pelosi said: “Mr. Speaker, as we leave for this Christmas recess, let us say, ‘God bless you’ to the American people by voting against this Republican budget and statement of injustice and immorality, and let us not let the special interest goose get fat at the expense of America’s children.“The gentleman from Washington [state], Mr. McDermott, quoted the prophet Isaiah. And as the Bible teaches us, to minister to the needs of God’s creation is an act of worship, to ignore those needs is to dishonor the God who made us. Let us vote no on this budget as an act of worship and for America’s children.”– On Feb. 8, 2007, in remarks before the U.S. House Science and Technology Committee, when it held hearings on global warming, she used the same quote, verbatim, as in her Earth Day release.

– On April 6, 2007, in congressional remarks before the Easter recess: “In this Holy Week, we are reminded of these words in the Old Testament: ‘To minister to the needs of God’s creation is an act of worship. To ignore those needs is to dishonor the God who made us.’ We must move quickly to honor God’s creation by reducing greenhouse gas pollution in the United States and around the world.”

– On April 25, 2007, in a speech to the League of Conservation Voters in Washington, D.C.: “We are now charging ahead to tackle one of humanity’s greatest challenges yet - global warming. We will do this because we hold our children’s future in our hands - not our grandchildren, or great-grandchildren, but our own children. “As it says in the Old Testament, ‘To minister to the needs of God’s creation is an act of worship. To ignore those needs is to dishonor the God who made us.’”

– On Oct. 22, 2007, in a television interview with PBS host Tavis Smiley, she used it in discussion of her roots, attributing the quote to the book of Isaiah: “I’m raised in a family in Baltimore, Maryland, my father was the mayor. He was in Congress when I was born. And we were devoutly Catholic, very patriotic. We love America. Devoutly Catholic, deeply patriotic, proud of our Italian American heritage, and in our case, staunchly Democratic.

“And that faith was related to our Democratic values. That is to say, the gospel of Matthew: ‘When I was hungry, you gave me to eat.’ You know, the least of our brethren. So that’s an inspiration in the New Testament. In the Old Testament, Isaiah says, ‘To minister to the needs of God’s creation is an act of worship. To ignore those needs is to dishonor the god who made us.’”

Plight Of The Black Conservatives: Negros must vote for Obama or else!

Monday, April 21st, 2008

obamaselma.jpg
This is a portion from the chronic Negro liberal Oliver Willis

“the vast majority of blacks engaged in politics are moving forward you have a miniscule few who for whatever the reason (I tend to think its for them to adopt a contrarian pose) will vote Republican. As a result, they are outliers within their own race and essentially position themselves against the tide of black history. The tried and true response of black conservatives is to look at themselves as some kind of hero or martyrs. The larger conservative movement, unable to attract a sizable percentage of black votes, trumpets these kinds of stories again and again. Like this blog post from the hard-right Human Events:

Blacks who will vote for McCain this fall are some of the most courageous people on the planet, because of the extreme social scorn they will face from their left-wing black counterparts.

It takes courage to challenge the dominant social order. It took courage for Elia Kazan to battle pro-Communist sentiment in the 1950s. It took courage for Martin Luther King to fight Jim Crow in the 1960s. It took courage for Ronald Reagan to confront institutionalized liberalism in the 1980s. Likewise, it will take courage for black Republicans like [Michael] Steele to combat “Obama-ism” in the late-2000s.

Of course, a black person supporting McCain is not courageous at all. If you want to truly compare it to the 1960s its the equivalent of seeing Bull Connor sic dogs on people and saying “Hey guys, let’s cool it on all this civil rights stuff, we may upset some people.”

######

This is another in the long line of clueless Negros who will stop at nothing at dissing Negros who exhibits any measure of independent thought.
Just for the record if asshole happens to read this, I am not planning on voting for McCain because he is a closet liberal sellout Republican weasel like a great many of current idiot fuck Republicans like the moron Governor of Indiana.

I do not vote for nor have I ever voted for “an individual” as much as I vote for principles, which is the primary reason why I will not waist my time voting for McCain in November.
I see him in the same mold as idiot fuck Newt pimping climate change bullshit with that liberal hack Nancy Pelosi. Newt is one of a growing crop if RINO’s who believes in compromising with idiot fuck liberals when I believe they should be doing the opposite.

As far as his post referring to anti-Obama Negros as “martyrs” and that fellow Negro conservative “prop up policies that hurt black America” is simply embarrassingly retarded and intellectually vacant.

As I have said many times on this blog, as a black man Obama’s ascension to the presidency is not high on my priority list nor will his presidency make me more of a man or a better black man. And just as any idiot liberal, Obama’s policies will no doubt keep way too many black folks, uneducated, unmotivated and impoverished. No amount of right wing Negro conservative bashing I hear from clueless Negros hacks will make me think otherwise.
This is why black folks are so fucked now because most are damm sheep and end up raising fucked up kids like the one in the “kill Bush” video below.

Instead of these stupid Niggas writing these fucken moronic posts castigating Negros who refuses to buy into Obama’s or any other Democrat bullshit try educating me on just how the Magic Negro plans to magically stop Niggas from killing each other, snorting child support payments up their noses, taking care of their kids and dropping out of school at an alarming rate. Then the ears may perk up.

Bill Clinton Flashback: “All These Economically Insecure White People…Are Scared To Death”

Monday, April 14th, 2008

 you_suck_and_thats_sad2.JPG

Typical Democrats!

“The reason (George H. W. Bush’s tactic) works so well now is that you have all these economically insecure white people who are scared to death,” Clinton was quoted saying by the Los Angeles Times in September 1991.

A couple months later, Joe Klein, writing for the Sunday Times, reported that Clinton made the following remarks:

“You know, he [Bush] wants to divide us over race. I’m from the South. I understand this. This quota deal they’re gonna pull in the next election is the same old scam they’ve been pulling on us for decade after decade after decade. When their economic policies fail, when the country’s coming apart rather than coming together, what do they do? They find the most economically insecure white men and scare the living daylights out of them. They know if they can keep us looking at each other across a racial divide, if I can look at Bobby Rush and think, Bobby wants my job, my promotion, then neither of us can look at George Bush and say, ‘What happened to everybody’s job? What happened to everybody’s income? What … have … you … done … to … our … country?’”

A common theme of Clinton’s back then

  • Arkansas Gov. Bill Clinton, trying to convince Alabama Democrats to support his presidential bid, accused Republicans of trying to woo white voters by preying on unfounded racial fears.

Clinton told a meeting of the Alabama Democratic Party black caucus that Republicans “find the most economically insecure white folks and go scare the living daylights out of them.” — AP, October 13, 1991

  • Why does the President refuse to let a civil rights bill pass? Because he knows that the people he is dependent on for his electoral majority — white working class men and women, mostly men, have had their incomes decline in the 1980s and they may return to their natural home, someone who offers them real economic opportunity. And so he is dredging up the same old tactic that the hard right has employed in my part of the country, in the South, since I was a child. When everything gets (hyped ?) and you think you’re going to lose those people, you find the most economically insecure white people and you scare the living daylights out of them. — Georgetown University, October 23, 1991
  • 1,000 Illinois Democrats had gathered in Chicago for their annual fund-raising dinner. Clinton, 45, was determined to give them his best shot. And he did, vigorously attacking George Bush: ”You know, he wants to divide us over race. I’m from the South. I understand this,” Clinton croaked. ”This quota deal they’re gonna pull in the next election is the same old scam they’ve been pulling on us for decade after decade after decade. When their economic policies fail, when the country’s coming apart rather than coming together, what do they do? They find the most economically insecure white men and scare the living daylights out of them.” — Sunday Times, November 3, 1991

Typical liberal snob; Update: New Obama spin - “I didn’t say it as well as I could have”

From Michelle Malkin

Keep spinnin’, pal. You’re going to land right back into the gutter, with your bowling ball. Video of Obama’s response to Snob-gate is now posted on his YouTube channel:”

#########
This “Bittergate” controversy is one of the best examples of liberalism run amuck on the campaign trail.

It is so easy to process liberals. Not your old guard Democrats who voted for FDR types. I’m talking about the leaders, elected officials and people that work in Washington and these two assholes running for president on the Democratic side.

These fucks are no different than the typical European socialists’ assholes that look at the United States with disgust. They’re intellectual elitists. They think they are entitled to wealth and power because of their “superiority”.
These mutherfuckers believe in their soul that they should run the world.
They know better!

You… (or the bitter folks of Pennsylvania) are just a bunch of serfs that can’t manage your own lives.

As far as liberals are concerned they look at the United States as a mistake, an aberration. Socialism and communism is where it’s really at. It just hasn’t been given a fair shot.
This is what motivates folks like Obama.
Obama and liberal elitists think that average Americans are a bunch of uncivilized, dirty, embarrassing little people. We must be in charge to take care of you little slubs.
Obama was not just talking about folks in Pennsylvania; he was speaking to the folks in Kansas, Oklahoma, Iowa, and Mississippi, the heartland, the backbone of this nation.
You poor slobs have to be given everything.

The people of Pennsylvania are suffering because “we” the “Democrats”, are not reaching deep enough into the pockets of Americans to help make them feel better.

The Obama’s and the Hillary’s of the world don’t expect you to have the talent to do anything for yourself. Please vote for us. Let us set up a welfare system that will keep you poor for the rest of your life if you sign on to it. No need to be bitter, vote for me so I can take care of you!
That is this change shit he keeps ranting about.

Rockefeller Smears McCain, Feigns Apology

Wednesday, April 9th, 2008

Couple of items from Sweetness & Light

First the smear, from West Virginia’s Charleston Gazette:

Jay defends endorsement of Sen. Obama
April 8, 2008

By Paul J. Nyden

Sen. Jay Rockefeller, D-W.Va., defended his decision to make an endorsement in the race for president during an interview with Gazette editors on Monday…

Rockefeller criticized Sen. John McCain, the presumed Republican nominee for president. “Senator McCain does have a temper. But today, he speaks in a monotone on the campaign trail.”

Rockefeller believes McCain has become insensitive to many human issues. “McCain was a fighter pilot, who dropped laser-guided missiles from 35,000 feet. He was long gone when they hit.

“What happened when they [the missiles] get to the ground? He doesn’t know. You have to care about the lives of people. McCain never gets into those issues.”

Then Mr. Rockefeller’s faux apology, via Fox News:

Rockefeller Apologizes to McCain for Calling Him Hit-and-Run Aviator

Tuesday, April 8, 2008

Democratic Sen. Jay Rockefeller, a Barack Obama supporter, apologized to John McCain Tuesday for suggesting to a West Virginia newspaper that the Arizona senator does not care about “the lives of people” caught in the wars he champions, dating back to his Navy service in Vietnam…

On Tuesday, Rockefeller issued a statement, saying, “I have deep respect for John McCain’s honorable and noble service to our country. I made an inaccurate and wrong analogy and I have extended my sincere apology to him.

#######

Also check out: I am probably most confident that I know more and understand the world better than Senator Clinton or Senator McCain,”

Obama was clearly on crack when he said that…

Ohio Hospital Contests a Story Clinton Tells

By DEBORAH SONTAG

April 5, 2008

Over the last five weeks, Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton of New York has featured in her campaign stump speeches the story of a health care horror: an uninsured pregnant woman who lost her baby and died herself after being denied care by an Ohio hospital because she could not come up with a $100 fee.

The woman, Trina Bachtel, did die last August, two weeks after her baby boy was stillborn at O’Bleness Memorial Hospital in Athens, Ohio. But hospital administrators said Friday that Ms. Bachtel was under the care of an obstetrics practice affiliated with the hospital, that she was never refused treatment and that she was, in fact, insured.

“We implore the Clinton campaign to immediately desist from repeating this story,” said Rick Castrop, chief executive officer of the O’Bleness Health System.

Linda M. Weiss, a spokeswoman for the not-for-profit hospital, said the Clinton campaign had never contacted the hospital to check the accuracy of the story, which Mrs. Clinton had first heard from a Meigs County, Ohio, sheriff’s deputy in late February.

A Clinton spokesman, Mo Elleithee, said candidates would frequently retell stories relayed to them, vetting them when possible. “In this case, we did try but were not able to fully vet it,” Mr. Elleithee said. “If the hospital claims it did not happen that way, we respect that.”

Barack Obama — Robert Byrd’s Special Friend

Saturday, April 5th, 2008

I found this on Barking Moonbat -

(link) Hip-hop star Snoop Dogg has launched a scathing attack on U.S. presidential hopeful Barack Obama, accusing him of gleaning support from the Ku Klux Klan. The rapper, real name Calvin Broadus Jr., insists the Democratic candidate has received funding from the KKK.

He tells the Guardian, “The KKK gave Obama money. They was (sic) one of his biggest supporters … Why wouldn’t they be? The media won’t tell you that. They don’t want you to know that. They just want you to know that this [bleep] befriended this other [bleep] who be (sic) threatening your values.

“But we all know all presidents lie to get into [bleep] office. That’s they (sic) job.”

But Snoop insists Obama will still emerge victorious in the upcoming presidential elections. He adds, “In America’s eyes, that mutha[bleep]’s gonna be president ‘cos (John) McCain can’t [bleep] with him. Hillary (Clinton) can’t [bleep] with him. He’s winning over white people, white ladies.”

“There may be many things that are marks on Obama.. but the claim that he is being supported by the KKK seems a bit out there and possibly only a position somebody totally wasted on drugs could come up with….”

Well not to knock good drugs, but the KKK supporting Obama is not a stretch. I have been questioning for a couple of years now why Obama back in the day would go campaign and raise money for Robert KKK Byrd. Hell if the KKK is sending dead presidents to Obama it’s the least they can do.

I have been bitching about this forever, despite overwhelming support from black folks for Obama, no black journalist, columnist, TV Pundit, somebody anybody ask him why he (Obama) would help raise money for a fucken racist!!

I bet still, today less than 1% of black folks who are supporting Obama know he campaigned for a former Klansman.

I don’t know if Snoop Dog knows it, but what’s that saying about politics and strange bedfellows…

IN CASE Y’ALL FORGOT!

obamakkk.jpg

This was from  Moonbattery from 2005. In case you missed it!

Remember when the magic Negro went to West Virginia and pimped for Senator Robert “KKK” Byrd. Yes I know it’s an old story to us GOP types, but I thought it was a good time to recycle this old piece of 411.I was telling some friends about this and they did not believe me.  I’m amazed at just how few people still don’t know about this, including Obama supporters.I know this is old, but just posting as a reminder since the media is continuing to prop up this articulate darkie. Just a reminder to Democrats as they push for change.
These folks are not sold on the Magic Negro; (Obama: No Cash From Denzel, Spike, Motown, Despite Oprah Backing) It tis going to be interesting the race gloves come off. Hillary is certain to start uttering code phrases in the coming weeks where she will basically say it tis not a good idea to elect someone with so little “experience,” she will add some code “can we take a chance of putting a “N-g-e-r at the top of the Democrat Party ticket?” But we will know what she really means. LOL!

Veteran racist Robert Byrd — the senile Senator who has spent his overlong career keeping blacks in “their place” by recruiting for the KKK, by filibustering the Civil Rights Act for 14 straight hours, by making a fool of himself by trying to block the nomination of the supremely qualified Condoleezza Rice for Secretary of State, by participating in the “high-tech lynching” of Clarence Thomas as well as opposing the nomination of Thurgood Marshall to the Supreme Court, by publicly calling people “niggers” as recently as 2001, by declaring that he would rather “die a thousand times, and see Old Glory trampled in the dirt never to rise again, than to see this beloved land of ours become degraded by race mongrels” — has a new advocate: Barack “Osama bin Osama” Obama, a fellow Senator and, as it happens, a “race mongrel.”Needless to say, any Republican with a resume like Byrd’s would be treated like a leper — especially by fellow Republicans. But the big D in “D-WV” deflects all sins from the Democratic Party’s point of view. There have been Democrats morally depraved enough to refer to Byrd as the “conscience of the Senate” without smirking. Obama is evidently shameless enough to go along with it.

Visit Ace of Spades HQ to read Obama’s letter to the true believers who make up MoveOn.org on behalf of the windy old ex-Kleagle’s reelection campaign. Obama lays it on pretty thick, crediting the bloviating obstructionist with upholding the highest of principles by using his favorite tactic — the filibuster — to circumvent the Constitution’s requirement that judges be approved by a simple majority. The original letter of course has a link where you can send money to buy Byrd a fresh set of sheets.

Meanwhile, for advocating a color-blind approach to justice, Clarence Thomas is often called an “Uncle Tom.” Colin Powell is characterized as a “plantation slave” for serving in a Republican Administration.

The Republican Party, as apparently too few people know, was founded largely on the issue of opposition to slavery — and has remained true to the principle of individual liberty regardless of race to this day. Last time I checked, there weren’t any ex-Kleagles on the Republican side of the aisle.

Stabenow is 12 years his senior.

WXYZ and LGF Quick Links reported:

bos3.jpgHillary Clinton’s Bosnian misadventure should disqualify her from the presidency, but the airport landing is the least of it.

By Christopher Hitchens on Slate

The punishment visited on Sen. Hillary Clinton for her flagrant, hysterical, repetitive, pathological lying about her visit to Bosnia should be much heavier than it has yet been and should be exacted for much more than just the lying itself. There are two kinds of deliberate and premeditated deceit, commonly known as suggestio falsi and suppressio veri. (Neither of them is covered by the additionally lying claim of having “misspoken.”) The first involves what seems to be most obvious in the present case: the putting forward of a bogus or misleading account of events. But the second, and often the more serious, means that the liar in question has also attempted to bury or to obscure something that actually is true. Let us examine how Sen. Clinton has managed to commit both of these offenses to veracity and decency and how in doing so she has rivaled, if not indeed surpassed, the disbarred and perjured hack who is her husband and tutor.I remember disembarking at the Sarajevo airport in the summer of 1992 after an agonizing flight on a U.N. relief plane that had had to “corkscrew” its downward approach in order to avoid Serbian flak and ground fire. As I hunched over to scuttle the distance to the terminal, a mortar shell fell as close to me as I ever want any mortar shell to fall. The vicious noise it made is with me still. And so is the shock I felt at seeing a civilized and multicultural European city bombarded round the clock by an ethno-religious militia under the command of fascistic barbarians. I didn’t like the Clinton candidacy even then, but I have to report that many Bosnians were enthused by Bill Clinton’s pledge, during that ghastly summer, to abandon the hypocritical and sordid neutrality bos2.jpgof the George H.W. Bush/James Baker regime and to come to the defense of the victims of ethnic cleansing.

I am recalling these two things for a reason. First, and even though I admit that I did once later misidentify a building in Sarajevo from a set of photographs, I can tell you for an absolute certainty that it would be quite impossible to imagine that one had undergone that experience at the airport if one actually had not. Yet Sen. Clinton, given repeated chances to modify her absurd claim to have operated under fire while in the company of her then-16-year-old daughter and a USO entertainment troupe, kept up a stone-faced and self-loving insistence that, yes, she had exposed herself to sniper fire in the cause of gaining moral credit and, perhaps to be banked for the future, national-security “experience.” This must mean either a) that she lies without conscience or reflection; or b) that she is subject to fantasies of an illusory past; or c) both of the above. Any of the foregoing would constitute a disqualification for the presidency of the United States.

Ya know unless Hillary is able to hire someone to assassinate Obama her chances of winning the presidency is pretty much zero.
Putting aside Rush’s “Operation Chaos” successfully fucking up the Democratic Party, after her sniper fire lie I have often thought about the mental acuity of people who still actually believe that Hillary Clinton should be president.
EVEN AFTER THIS MOTHER OF ALL PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE LIES, how
could someone willingly show up at one of her campaign rallies and keep their integrity in check?

I have yet to find a blogger or columnist who is willing to bang out on a keyboard truthfully and honestly why Hillary, despite being a lying fuck should be president.
Only the fact that she is a woman and her name is Clinton. If she were a man named
Tom Richardson everyone including flaming lib tards would avoid her like the plague.
after reading this article, I’m just dumbfounded.

Obama’s Pastor Slurs Italians in Latest Magazine
By Penny Starr - CNSNews.com Senior Staff Writer

(CNSNews.com) - Rev. Jeremiah A. Wright Jr., pastor emeritus of Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago where Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) has been a member for two decades, slurred Italians in a piece published in the most recent issue of Trumpet Newsmagazine.

“(Jesus’) enemies had their opinion about Him,” Wright wrote in a eulogy of the late scholar Asa Hilliard in the November/December 2007 issue. “The Italians for the most part looked down their garlic noses at the Galileans.”

Wright continued, “From the circumstances surrounding Jesus’ birth (in a barn in a township that was under the Apartheid Roman government that said his daddy had to be in), up to and including the circumstances surrounding Jesus’ death on a cross, a Roman cross, public lynching Italian style. …

Obama Seeks to Quell Flap Over Pastor

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama on Wednesday sought to quell concerns over anti-American remarks by his former pastor, saying people are paying too much attention to a small number of “stupid” comments.

Obama gave a sweeping speech on race last week in which he condemned incendiary remarks by the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, but the words of the former pastor at Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago continue to dog the candidate. Reflecting the campaign’s concern about the fallout, Obama used a question about religion at a town hall forum as an opportunity to address the issue.

“This is somebody that was preaching three sermons at least a week for 30 years and it got boiled down … into a half-minute sound clip and just played it over and over and over again, partly because it spoke to some of the racial divisions we have in this country,” Obama told an audience in this central North Carolina city.

“There are misunderstandings on both sides,” the Illinois senator said. “We cannot solve the problems of America if every time somebody somewhere does something stupid, that everybody gets up in arms and forgets about the war in Iraq and we forget about the economy.”

Obama is becoming Bill Clinton like. I mean in the “it depends on what the meaning of the word “is” is.

Remember:

“It depends on what the meaning of the word ‘is’ is. If the–if he–if ‘is’ means is and never has been, that is not–that is one thing. If it means there is none, that was a completely true statement….Now, if someone had asked me on that day, are you having any kind of sexual relations with Ms. Lewinsky, that is, asked me a question in the present tense, I would have said no. And it would have been completely true.”

So now we have a “small number of “stupid” comments” I guess it depends on what you would define as “small.”

Mrs. Clinton said that she says “millions of words each day” so “we were under sniper fire” so five small words out of a million, is indeed small. “God damm Americkkka” is just a blip on the radar.

Ya know I get the fact that politicians on both sides have some serious issues with honesty. And neither side has a monopoly on what may be the correct path to dealing with some of America’s issues but anybody paying attention has to be struck by just how incredibly deceitful and conniving Democratic politicians are.
A simple story about a foreign policy trip or whether or not (your church and pastor of CHOICE) is a raving racist America hating lunatic can produce the most bullshit rhetoric is just beyond belief.

One of my commenter’s Allen posted this and it describes Democrats perfectly;

“I can’t quite imagine what a conversation in that family must be like. The best I can figure:”

Neighbor: Your damn dog tore up my garden.

Bill: We have no dog.
Hillary: Our dog was inside when the incident occurred.
Chelsea: We have a dog?

Neighbor: Of course it’s your dog everyone knows it.

Lanny Davis: I find this focus on the dog to be irrelevant.
