Obama, Terrorists, Oil, Stupid, America Screwed

Thursday, May 15th, 2008

Work with me people I’m gonna weave a couple of topics and posts into one confusing one, LOL!

From Hot Air

The latest ad from the RNC takes some low-hanging fruit and makes a feast from it. The ad takes the energy policy of Barack Obama and compares it to the last President that tried it — Jimmy Carter. Obama’s call for a windfall-profits tax against oil companies prompts a history lesson about the results from the last such attempt:

Drive Up The Cost Of Gasoline On Americans?

BUT NOW WATCH THIS CLIP OF OBAMA….

TEXT: Sen. Barack Obama The Age of oil must end speech

“your great mayor” LOL!

“We fuel our oil addiction by sending over 800 million dollars a day to countries that include some of the most despotic volatile regimes in the world.”

“oil money funds everything from the madrassas that plant the seeds of terror in young minds, to sunni insurgents that attack our troops in Iraq, corrupts budding democracies
and gives dictators from Venezuela to Iran the power to freely defy the international community it even presents a larger target for Osama Bin Laden who has told Al Qaeda to focus your operations on oil especially in Iraq and the gulf area since this will cause Americans to die off on their own”

The clip

Now Bush says this:

“Some seem to believe we should negotiate with terrorists and radicals, as if some ingenious argument will persuade them they have been wrong all along,”

said Bush, in what White House aides privately acknowledged was a reference to calls by Obama and other Democrats for the U.S. president to sit down for talks with leaders like Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

Because Obama said this….

Obama: “Sure, I’ll meet with Castro, Chavez, Ahmadinejad, etc”

And as Allahpundit noted, from Obama’s own website:

obama-website.jpg

Without preconditions. That means without Iran guaranteeing anything, let alone the big prize of their nuclear program.

MORE OF THIS HERE AT HOT AIR AGAIN

Now I’m confused and I’m the one posting this shit, Obama says to me (Snoop evil dictator) you run one of the most despotic regimes in the world and I plant the seeds of terror in young minds, and you STILL want to sit down and talk to me? What the fuck?
Which is it? Negotiate with terrorist thugs, stop sending these thugs our money via oil, reduce dependency on foreign oil, we need a windfall profits tax to tax the oil companies, oh don’t forget that we have no other alternative energy resources, bla bla bla, yada yada yada.

CONFUSED!?!

Yes I must agree with El Borak, an Obama presidency will no doubt be a fun one blogging wise. Just think the Democrats will fucken have control of the House, Senate and likely the presidency (even if McCain wins the same thing). The Democrats are likely to turn this country back into the Stone Age. And who do we have to blame, Republicans since they are a bunch of spineless no guts assholes that refuse to run on and stand up for conservative principles.

With the Democrats in charge America will in essence be imprisoned by liberalism and thus will become the “tossed salad man”

Obama Dons Flag Pin (Again) For Hicks In WV

Tuesday, May 13th, 2008

Obama told several thousand people at the Charleston Civic Center that patriotism means more than saluting flags and holding parades

For only the second time in many weeks, Obama wore an American flag pin on his suit jacket. He has said he stopped wearing such pins routinely because he felt they became a substitute for ‘‘true patriotism’’ after the 2001 terrorist attacks. He recently wore a flag pin, for a day, given to him by a veteran. Campaign aides gave no explanation for Monday’s decision, except to say that sometimes Obama wears a flag pin and sometimes he does not…

Wright Says His Words Were Twisted

Thursday, April 24th, 2008

obama-fallen.jpg

Again I’m later on posting this article, y’all may have already seen on another blog, but I am beginning to suspect that Rev. Wright is only out to TRY and clean up his image, however while doing so he is really fucking up Obama campaign.
“His words twisted,” is he joking!? If dude really wanted to help Obama he would just shut the fuck up and go underground for awhile.
From what clips I have seen of tomorrow’s interview this will only bring the issue back to the front burner to the detriment of Obama trying to close the deal in the Democratic Party race.

(Story Link) In his first wide-ranging interview since video clips of his inflammatory sermons were aired, the Rev. Jeremiah A. Wright Jr. defended himself over the controversy, saying that his words were twisted.
Mr. Wright, Senator Barack Obama’s former pastor, gave an interview to Bill Moyers on Wednesday, to air on PBS tomorrow.“I felt it was unfair,” Mr. Wright said, according to excerpts of the interview released Thursday. “I felt it was unjust. I felt it was untrue. I felt for those who were doing that, were doing it for some very devious reasons.”
In Mr. Wright’s sermons, he suggested that Americans bore some responsibility for the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, saying “America’s chickens are coming home to roost.” He also blamed the government for the spread of AIDS among African-Americans, characterized the United States government as corrupt and referred to the “U.S. of K.K.K. A.”
He did not apologize or back away from his remarks in the interview
, instead saying that people wanted to paint him as “some sort of fanatic.”

“It’s to paint me as something — ‘Something’s wrong with me. There’s nothing wrong with this country … for its policies. We’re perfect. Our hands are free. Our hands have no blood on them,’” he said. “That’s not a failure to communicate. The message that is being communicated by the sound bites is exactly what those pushing those sound bites want to communicate.”
When asked what the people who aired the clips “wanted to communicate,” Mr. Wright said, “I think they wanted to communicate that I am unpatriotic, that I am un-American, that I am filled with hate speech, that I have a cult at Trinity United Church of Christ. And by the way, guess who goes to his church, hint, hint, hint? That’s what they wanted to communicate.”
Mr. Wright, who has acted as Mr. Obama’s spiritual mentor and retired in February as pastor of Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago, said that he has never heard Mr. Obama repeat any of his controversial statements.

“Absolutely not,” Mr. Wright said. “I don’t talk to him about politics. And so he had a political event, he goes out as a politician and says what he has to say as a politician. I continue to be a pastor who speaks to the people of God about the things of God.”
Mr. Obama publicly denounced Mr. Wright’s remarks, a reaction Mr. Wright said “went down very simply.”
“He’s a politician, I’m a pastor,” he said. “We speak to two different audiences. And he says what he has to say as a politician. I say what I have to say as a pastor. But they’re two different worlds.”
He added, “I do what I do. He does what politicians do. So that what happened in Philadelphia where he had to respond to the sound bytes, he responded as a politician.”

The North Carolina GOP engaging in slimeball politics!

Wednesday, April 23rd, 2008
Found on Red State (Via Hot Air) “How could the NC GOP think to intervene in the Democratic primary in this way?”

They make this video and then link to a contribution page saying this:

“Your contribution to the North Carolina Republican Party helps us achieve our mission of electing Republicans throughout North Carolina. With your assistance, we can elect Republicans from the courthouse to the White House. Thank you for your generous support.”

BUNCH OF SLIMY POLITICAL OPPORTUNISTS! Shame on the NCGOP!

Sen. John McCain, of Arizona, moved quickly on Wednesday to reject the ad.

Hmmm….Dead actor Roy Scheider donates to Barack Obama campaign

Obama you’re gonna need a bigger boat…

scheider.jpg

From the LA Times Blog Sen. Barack Obama does come from the Chicago school of politics, where historically voter turnout has been unusually high for residents of certain graveyards. And he has been unusually successful raising money. Now, he’s raising money by raising the dead.

The Times’ campaign finance expert Dan Morain has found Obama campaign records reporting a $50 donation by Roy Scheider, who lists his occupation as actor and his home as Sag Harbor, N.Y.

Remember him from many great movies including “The French Connection” and “Jaws” and the immortal line: “You’re gonna need a bigger boat”?

According to the campaign records, Scheider made the donation on March 10 last month.

Trouble is, Scheider died exactly one month before that, on Feb. 10 at the age of 75. Just another example of Hollywood’s undying affection for Democrats.

Obama recently reported other donations from breathing actors: Sam Waterston $2,300, Lynn Redgrave $600, Sydney Poitier $250 and Treat Williams $100.

Scheider was unavailable for comment. However, informed of the deceased donor’s generosity, an Obama campaign spokesman said late Tuesday it had come under a monthly credit card donation program and that it would be halted this month. The $50 March donation would be donated to another cause, the spokesman said.

Meanwhile, Hillary Clinton’s campaign has been waiting weeks for Marlon Brando to return its calls. Same for John McCain and Charlton Heston.

NYT: “The Low Road To Victory”

Wednesday, April 23rd, 2008

harding.jpgPosted on The Hotline and Drudge

The New York Times, which endorsed Hillary Clinton, criticized her in a blistering edit published online tonight for running a nasty PA campaign. The piece was, not surprisingly, circulated by Barack Obama’s campaign.

NYT: The Pennsylvania campaign, which produced yet another inconclusive result on Tuesday, was even meaner, more vacuous, more desperate, and more filled with pandering than the mean, vacuous, desperate, pander-filled contests that preceded it.Voters are getting tired of it; it is demeaning the political process; and it does not work. It is past time for Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton to acknowledge that the negativity, for which she is mostly responsible, does nothing but harm to her, her opponent, her party and the 2008 election.

If nothing else, self interest should push her in that direction. Mrs. Clinton did not get the big win in Pennsylvania that she needed to challenge the calculus of the Democratic race. It is true that Senator Barack Obama outspent her 2-to-1. But Mrs. Clinton and her advisers should mainly blame themselves, because, as the political operatives say, they went heavily negative and ended up squandering a good part of what was once a 20-point lead.

On the eve of this crucial primary, Mrs. Clinton became the first Democratic candidate to wave the bloody shirt of 9/11. A Clinton television ad — torn right from Karl Rove’s playbook — evoked the 1929 stock market crash, Pearl Harbor, the Cuban missile crisis, the cold war and the 9/11 attacks, complete with video of Osama bin Laden. “If you can’t stand the heat, get out of the kitchen,” the narrator intoned.

More Clinton deception, more Democrat dirt… Ooooooo! “Man In Clinton’s ‘Bitter’ Ad Isn’t Registered To Vote”

Thursday, April 17th, 2008

More dirt found on the Huffington Post, man this is gettin’ ugly!

The Morning Call notes:

Barack Obama can take some solace out of Hillary Clinton’s new television ad in Pennsylvania. At least one of her supporters featured in the spot hammering Obama for his small town comments isn’t registered to vote in Pennsylvania.
Clyde Thomas, who sports a goatee in the ad and says, “the good people of Pennsylvania deserve a lot better than what Barack Obama said,” is actually registered in New Jersey. He voted there for Clinton Feb. 5. He only recently moved to Bethlehem, Pa.

“It shouldn’t be a big deal. I explained it to the campaign,” Thomas said in an interview. “I see Pennsylvanians for what they are. I grew up with the values of Pennsylvanians.”

Typical liberal snob; Update: New Obama spin - “I didn’t say it as well as I could have”

Sunday, April 13th, 2008

From Michelle Malkin

snob.jpg

Keep spinnin’, pal. You’re going to land right back into the gutter, with your bowling ball. Video of Obama’s response to Snob-gate is now posted on his YouTube channel:”

#########
This “Bittergate” controversy is one of the best examples of liberalism run amuck on the campaign trail.

It is so easy to process liberals. Not your old guard Democrats who voted for FDR types. I’m talking about the leaders, elected officials and people that work in Washington and these two assholes running for president on the Democratic side.

These fucks are no different than the typical European socialists’ assholes that look at the United States with disgust. They’re intellectual elitists. They think they are entitled to wealth and power because of their “superiority”.
These mutherfuckers believe in their soul that they should run the world.
They know better!

You… (or the bitter folks of Pennsylvania) are just a bunch of serfs that can’t manage your own lives.

As far as liberals are concerned they look at the United States as a mistake, an aberration. Socialism and communism is where it’s really at. It just hasn’t been given a fair shot.
This is what motivates folks like Obama.
Obama and liberal elitists think that average Americans are a bunch of uncivilized, dirty, embarrassing little people. We must be in charge to take care of you little slubs.
Obama was not just talking about folks in Pennsylvania; he was speaking to the folks in Kansas, Oklahoma, Iowa, and Mississippi, the heartland, the backbone of this nation.
You poor slobs have to be given everything.

The people of Pennsylvania are suffering because “we” the “Democrats”, are not reaching deep enough into the pockets of Americans to help make them feel better.

The Obama’s and the Hillary’s of the world don’t expect you to have the talent to do anything for yourself. Please vote for us. Let us set up a welfare system that will keep you poor for the rest of your life if you sign on to it. No need to be bitter, vote for me so I can take care of you!
That is this change shit he keeps ranting about.

“Hey whitey how’d you like it if you were a slave?”

Thursday, April 3rd, 2008

nigga2.jpg

Was doing some blog scans and checking out some of the black sites for other burning issues that I may have missed. One of the things I do when I do blog scan is look for trends in subject matter.
I was telling Mrs. Snoop that I have been noticing a shit load of articles on “felony disfranchisement,” “black voter disfranchisement” and associated bullshit.

I’m also seeing more articles about lets just say “Negro failure” my term of course and all of these academic types trying to explain and understand why Negros are continually failing and finding the path to incarceration.

Check this out first….
************

If culture is a learned behavior then what is the resultant of a culture of racial oppression upon a people? What did they learn from it and how does it affect the behavior of the oppressed group? Hence, can a people develop an inferior culture by virtue of its people being treated as inferior for centuries in the same nation? If a culture is inferior due to a nation allowing and facilitating the oppression of a people is it not the responsibility of the nation to attempt to fix what it broke and can that fix be implemented without recognizing and targeting the group that it broke in the effort? Culture is essentially socialization via emulation.I think a good test for the belief in racial superior and inferiority is to ask a white person if they believe this to be true:

If white people had been taken to a black nation as slaves, and had essentially the same situation as blacks have had in the West, but in reverse, would they be in a better or worse situation than blacks are in America today? Would they have risen faster? Would they complain less? Would they seek Affirmative Action?

Of course, for them to assume that they would be better off clearly points to the belief that white humanity is superior to black humanity and can hence overcome odds in a superior fashion. To suggest that the situation would be the same is to suggest that the black condition of today is predictable given what they were exposed.

Whites will not answer this question. Why? Because it threatens to expose them as something they deny to themselves and others. Of course, some will dismiss this hypothetical as absurd due to the premise of the hypothesis implying that blacks could actually ever have the capacity to dominate whites…..which is absurd on its face when one essentially believes in white supremacy and its corollary of black inferiority.

********

Now I understand that this is not a new argument folks, to me it tis an absurd argument.
As I have said many times my parents, particularly my dad did not raise me with this boo fucken hoo unfair whitey world mentality.

My basic point for bringing this to y’alls attention is the fact that I am seeing more of this on black websites than normal and I’m not quite sure why.

In another post I found this dude ranting about the reparations argument which I though was a dead issue but I guess not. Here is an example, similar language I have found on several sites:

“white Americans, as a group, continue to be the direct beneficiaries of the legal apparatuses of white supremacy, carried out by the full weight of America’s legal, political, and economic institutions. The consequences of state-sponsored racial inequality created a mountain of historically constructed, accumulated disadvantage for African Americans as a group.”

Now I will say there are a lot of black websites that are very skeptical of Obama and have expressed a fear that if he is elected black folks are fucked. Whitey will reverse civil rights laws and Affirmative-Action will be reversed all sorts of hysterical shit. The white guilt will forever be erased and we can’t have that!

I found one black dude who even said that:

“if Obama is elected president the United States will experience a catastrophic recession the likes that this country has never seen.”

Now granted most of these folks crying about this shit are liberal black intellectual types. The Marc Lamont Hill types like I mentioned in the post below on Rev Wright.

Man I swear these race pimps are worried. They see black folks supporting Obama and they fear that their Afro-studies, Urban Studies, intellectual race baiting and blame whitey curriculum will have to be reexamined. Gee how could a country with such a racist past elect a Negro!?

When I read these boo hoo Negro stories I think about Sowell’s book, Black Rednecks and White Liberals. If you have not read this book I highly recommend it.
Below is a portion of on old article he wrote years ago and he talks about this in his book in explaining racial disparities. He does so in a way no typical black university intellectual would ever utter in today’s black studies classes.

Even though blacks in the United States have been subject to far more discrimination than blacks in Brazil, the black-white difference in income is greater in Brazil. This would be inexplicable if discrimination were the overwhelming factor that it is claimed to be. But such differences are readily explainable in terms of the different cultural histories of blacks in the two countries.

If discrimination were the key factor, then blacks in the United States would be among the poorest blacks in the hemisphere and blacks in Haiti would be the most prosperous, since Haitians have been free of white rule for two centuries. Yet it is Haitian blacks who are the poorest in the hemisphere and American blacks who are the most prosperous in world.

You don’t even need to leave Washington, D.C., to see that discrimination is not the be-all and end-all depicted by Clinton and his supporters. Until the 1950s, the Washington public school system was racially segregated and discrimination was rampant. Yet the black academic high school in Washington held its own and often outperformed most of the white academic high schools in the city on tests as far back as 1899, nearly a century ago.

Today, with far more resources and a city controlled by blacks, there is no hope of any such academic performance within the foreseeable future. There are many reasons for this, but the all-purpose explanation of discrimination just does not fit these facts.

(article link)

He wrote this 10 years ago and it is still so very true.

It is necessary for these black intellectual types to keep all of us Negros in this little box and to avoid the obvious answer to black violence, incarceration, unemployment, school dropout rates ect, a little thing called personal responsibility.

I’m so sick of this “group failure” racial blame whitey pimping shit.

Just think about it all of these black websites and blogs continuing to perpetrate this illogical crap to captive ignorant black readers. As the pic below illustrates, “ignorance is America’s most expensive commodity”

I’m not exactly sure why I have the mindset that I do, but I thank God all the time that I never developed that mentally toxic defeatist mindset.

Life is, what it is. I can’t control the past all I can do is manage the future as best I can.
Sitting around and wondering how white folks would have fared as a result of slavery is a pointless and ridiculous waste of time.

Obama’s Pastor Slurs Italians in Latest Magazine
By Penny Starr - CNSNews.com Senior Staff Writer

(CNSNews.com) - Rev. Jeremiah A. Wright Jr., pastor emeritus of Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago where Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) has been a member for two decades, slurred Italians in a piece published in the most recent issue of Trumpet Newsmagazine.

“(Jesus’) enemies had their opinion about Him,” Wright wrote in a eulogy of the late scholar Asa Hilliard in the November/December 2007 issue. “The Italians for the most part looked down their garlic noses at the Galileans.”

Wright continued, “From the circumstances surrounding Jesus’ birth (in a barn in a township that was under the Apartheid Roman government that said his daddy had to be in), up to and including the circumstances surrounding Jesus’ death on a cross, a Roman cross, public lynching Italian style. …

Obama Seeks to Quell Flap Over Pastor

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama on Wednesday sought to quell concerns over anti-American remarks by his former pastor, saying people are paying too much attention to a small number of “stupid” comments.

Obama gave a sweeping speech on race last week in which he condemned incendiary remarks by the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, but the words of the former pastor at Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago continue to dog the candidate. Reflecting the campaign’s concern about the fallout, Obama used a question about religion at a town hall forum as an opportunity to address the issue.

“This is somebody that was preaching three sermons at least a week for 30 years and it got boiled down … into a half-minute sound clip and just played it over and over and over again, partly because it spoke to some of the racial divisions we have in this country,” Obama told an audience in this central North Carolina city.

“There are misunderstandings on both sides,” the Illinois senator said. “We cannot solve the problems of America if every time somebody somewhere does something stupid, that everybody gets up in arms and forgets about the war in Iraq and we forget about the economy.”

Obama is becoming Bill Clinton like. I mean in the “it depends on what the meaning of the word “is” is.

Remember:

“It depends on what the meaning of the word ‘is’ is. If the–if he–if ‘is’ means is and never has been, that is not–that is one thing. If it means there is none, that was a completely true statement….Now, if someone had asked me on that day, are you having any kind of sexual relations with Ms. Lewinsky, that is, asked me a question in the present tense, I would have said no. And it would have been completely true.”

So now we have a “small number of “stupid” comments” I guess it depends on what you would define as “small.”

Mrs. Clinton said that she says “millions of words each day” so “we were under sniper fire” so five small words out of a million, is indeed small. “God damm Americkkka” is just a blip on the radar.

Ya know I get the fact that politicians on both sides have some serious issues with honesty. And neither side has a monopoly on what may be the correct path to dealing with some of America’s issues but anybody paying attention has to be struck by just how incredibly deceitful and conniving Democratic politicians are.
A simple story about a foreign policy trip or whether or not (your church and pastor of CHOICE) is a raving racist America hating lunatic can produce the most bullshit rhetoric is just beyond belief.

One of my commenter’s Allen posted this and it describes Democrats perfectly;

“I can’t quite imagine what a conversation in that family must be like. The best I can figure:”

Neighbor: Your damn dog tore up my garden.

Bill: We have no dog.
Hillary: Our dog was inside when the incident occurred.
Chelsea: We have a dog?

Neighbor: Of course it’s your dog everyone knows it.

Lanny Davis: I find this focus on the dog to be irrelevant.

Clinton Campaign Claims Hillary “Misspoke” With Blatant, Hilarious Bosnia Lie

Tuesday, March 25th, 2008

This from Wonkette

Here’s the best video ever, again, that contrasts Hillary’s account of being shot at by snipers in Bosnia with what really happened — she greeted children while Sinbad and Sheryl Crow boogied in the background. Clinton communications director Howard Wolfson responded to the objective lie today with the closest Clinton admission to guilt in History: “It is possible” that she “misspoke.”

If you think like Ken Starr, that is!As for 16-year-old Chelsea Clinton’s presence on the plane, she was to be thrown in front of the First Lady should a bullet approach her:

“It is possible in the most recent instance in which she discussed this that she misspoke in regard to the exit from the plane, but there is no question if you look at contemporaneous accounts that she was going to a potential combat zone, that she was on the front lines.”

This absurd lie has to be intentional… some new Clinton strategy… Hmm. Aha! It’s her only legitimate credential: Vote for Hillary Clinton, because every morning she has to wake up knowing she’s Hillary Clinton, and she’s never missed a day.Clinton Misspoke About Bosnia Trip, Campaign Says [The Caucus]

Obama eyes active role in oil markets

    Friday, March 21st, 2008

    maxinebullshit1.PNG

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Democrat Barack Obama would take an active role in U.S. oil markets as president, tackling concerns about the dominance of large oil companies and eyeing the Strategic Petroleum Reserve as a potential weapon to combat high prices, his top energy adviser said.

Jason Grumet, the presidential hopeful’s key energy and environmental policy aide, told Reuters this week that an Obama administration would crack down on any competition lapses in the sector that have resulted from big corporate mergers.

Grumet also said Obama would seek to link a future U.S. carbon emissions trading system with the European Union’s scheme as soon as possible while focusing attention on China and India in forging a global warming pact…

    Pastor inspires Obama’s ‘audacity’

    Saturday, March 15th, 2008

    obama6a1.jpg

When he took over Trinity United Church of Christ in 1972, Rev. Jeremiah Wright Jr. was a maverick pastor with a wardrobe of dashikis and a militant message.Six years later, he planted a “Free South Africa” sign on the lawn of his church and asked other local religious leaders to follow his lead.

None took him up on the invitation.

The sign stayed until the end of apartheid, –long enough to catch the eye of a young Barack Obama, who visited the church in 1985 as a community activist. Obama, was not a churchgoer at the time, but he found himself returning to the sanctuary of Trinity United. In Wright he had found both a spiritual mentor and a role model.

Wright, 65, is a straight-talking pragmatist who arrived in Chicago as an outsider and became an institution. He has built a congregation of 8,500, including the likes of Oprah Winfrey and hip-hop artist Common, by offering an alternative to socially conservative black churches that are, Wright believes, too closely tied to Chicago’s political dynasties.

Obama, too, also came to the city as a young unknown. Emerging from relative obscurity with his win in the Democratic U.S. Senate primary race for a U.S. Senate seat, he found a growing audience by preaching the politics of social justice and common ground. He has encouraged Democrats to acknowledge the power of faith in the lives of Americans. Now, he is positioning himself as a presidential candidate who can unify the American people.

Obama says that rather than advising him on strategy, Wright helps keep his priorities straight and his moral compass calibrated.“What I value most about Pastor Wright is not his day-to-day political advice,” Obama said. “He’s much more of a sounding board for me to make sure that I am speaking as truthfully about what I believe as possible and that I’m not losing myself in some of the hype and hoopla and stress that’s involved in national politics.”READ THE REST HERE

Obama’s Memory Faulters On Rezko Cash

    rezko1.jpg

Following up on an Instapundit link to Ace here: The Rezko-Obama Payoff: The Property - I came across some other troubling quotes from Obama on Rezko. From the Sun Times, Nov, 2006:

Q: How many fundraisers has Mr. Rezko hosted for you? Were these all in his home? How much would you estimate he has raised for your campaigns?

A: He hosted one event at his home in 2003 for my U.S. Senate campaign. He participated as a member of a host committee for several other events. My best estimate was that he raised somewhere between $50,000 and $60,000.

But it turns out that number isn’t even close, and it’s now being reported as upwards of 200k….

Kos Kid: Women Have It Great Under Islam!

    Monday, March 10th, 2008

    Found via Ace of Spades

“Barbaric illiberal tyrannies are supplied with endless apologism because their hearts are in the right place (i.e., they are at war, hot or cold, with America). And America of course is castigated for every flaw, real or imagined.

But don’t question their patriotism. This particular chappie seems to think women have it better in Pakistan than in Pawtucket, but do not question his passionate love affair with the United States”.

    ************

Before 9/11/01, the media relegated stories about women in Islamic societies to page B27, below the fold. Ever since 9/12/01, those same stories have screamed from the front pages in 100-point type. The shift in discourse coincided with the launch of Bush’s global “War on Terror,” when various hawks began using the plight of women in Islam to illustrate the supposed perfidy of our “enemies,” and to justify a series of military “interventions” — invasions — by Western powers.

In the United States, there’s now an almost universally held belief that most women in Islamic societies face wretched persecution and that Islam itself is wholly to blame. But there’s scant empirical evidence to support the claim — mostly, we’re treated to detailed reports of horrific abuses in theocratic states like Saudi Arabia and Iran, despite the fact that just six percent of the Muslim world live in those two countries. If you ask average Americans how they came to their beliefs about how badly women suffer in Islamic societies, most will reply that “everyone knows it.”

But I’ve seen no empirical data to suggest that an Islamic majority itself correlates with the subordination of women better than other co-variables like economic development, women’s ability to serve in government, a political culture that values the rule of law or access to higher education. In other words, you can use a comparison of women’s status in Saudi Arabia and Sweden to make an intellectually weak argument for Western superiority, but there’s little support for the notion that women living in “traditional” Islamic cultures enjoy a lower social status than those in orthodox Christian, Jewish or Hindu communities, to name a few examples.

Liberal analysis : “How Dumb Can Republicans Get?”

    Tuesday, March 4th, 2008

Here is a portion of a piece found on the liberal blog Firedoglake, that I found amusing.
It was a response to We Scream, We Swoon. How Dumb Can We Get? - By Charlotte Allen in the WaPo
Typical liberal stereotypical evil right wing trash fest.

In case you forgot this is the blog that produced this photo:

    blackface3.jpg

I am certainly not the only Republican flummoxed by this openly homoerotic hero worship by my fellow Republicans. An acquaintance plans to write a screenplay called “The Golf Course,” in which four Republican men drive around in an electric cart and salaciously fondle their five irons while discussing how to most effectively screw minorities out of their right to vote.

babyche.jpgWhat is it about us Republicans? Why do we always fall for the hyperbole, the ill-conceived ideas, the bulging flightsuit crotches? Just look at what’s #1 on the hardcover nonfiction best seller list of the New York Times: “Liberal Fascism,” by Jonah Goldberg, a paean to half-cocked research, terrible sentence structure, and a shocking paucity of logic! Why must Goldberg perpetuate the stereotype that Republicans are incapable of producing the facts to support our arguments? There’s also Glenn Beck, at #7, reinforcing the notion that Republicans are too dumb to understand evolutionary theory, and Newt Gingrich, weighing in at #8, reminding us that he is the human canker sore on the upper lip of Republican family values.

Television serves us no better. The Sunday morning news programs give Republicans plenty of air time to put our stupidity on display. We can publicly humiliate ourselves by salivating over John McCain with George Stephanopoulos. Tim Russert’s our go-to man when we want to shred a certain female Democratic presidential candidate. Create an echo chamber from the latest White House blast fax? Give Cokie Roberts a call; she’s quite the gifted parrot.

As sad as it may be, several of the alleged myths about 21st-century Republicanism have been proven true. We really do fetishize war and want to drown Medicare and Social Security in a bathtub. The size of our automobiles is inversely proportionate to our “manly characteristic.”

Moreover, a study published by Regent University revealed that Republican men are statistically more prone to closeted gay sex than Democratic men. (The only good news was that closeted Republican men tended to be single, so the revelations of their sex lives didn’t destroy entire families with twelve or more children.) And then there was that study that showed that protest121.jpgliberals are more adaptable than conservatives. Surely, the theory that Republicans are the dumber party is amply supported by the candidates they put forward for President.

I know I’m a bit nuts for occasionally reading retarded liberal shit like this, I’m hardly insulted by it I’m more amused when I read stuff like this.
I am keenly aware that there are a great many leftists who truly think like this retarded bastard.

I’m a conservative dude, always have been always will be, I grew up in the Bay Area in the 1970 and was around some of the most retarded mentally handicapped liberal nuts on the planet. My conservatism is a direct result of growing up and seeing and listening to the craziness of liberal nuts first hand. Not by reading any specific books, listening to talk radio, or absorbing speeches by old right wing icons, or being indoctrinated by some conservative guru I heard on the radio or watched on TV. My disdain for liberalism stems from direct observation of these socially retarded minions.

When I read entries like this I wonder, do individuals who write this 10.jpgkind of bullshit do so with a straight face?

I understand that there is this never ending battle of ideas and we all are part of it. Despite the calls for civility, I love these battles and believe that these political battles are necessary. Yes they can be nasty and bloody but the idea that “civil” political discourse is somehow possible is grossly naïve.

Both sides routinely borrow from the most extreme examples of social and political ignorance and intellectual vacancy exhibited by folks on the right and the left everyday.

In this piece this individual points out how those of us on the right don’t use facts to support our arguments, but it tis they who routinely gives us shining examples of liberal brilliance and logic everyday. Below are some examples of a few things, shit if I were to lay out every example of liberal nonsense this post would go on forever.
From global warming alarmism, to eco terrorism, race baiting politics, anti-American, socialist propaganda nonsense and the list goes on and on. And somehow this individual says that we on the right are the stupid ones. Seriously are these people really that blind to their own intellectual dishonesty?

Weather Channel Founder Blasts Network; Claims It Is ‘Telling Us What to Think’

    Tuesday, March 4th, 2008

TWC founder and global warming skeptic advocates suing Al Gore to expose ‘the fraud of global warming.’

The Weather Channel has lost its way, according to John Coleman, who founded the channel in 1982.

Coleman told an audience at the 2008 International Conference on Climate Change on March 3 in New York that he is highly critical of global warming alarmism.

“The Weather Channel had great promise, and that’s all gone now because they’ve made every mistake in the book on what they’ve done and how they’ve done it and it’s very sad,” Coleman said. “It’s now for sale and there’s a new owner of The Weather Channel will be announced – several billion dollars having changed hands in the near future. Let’s hope the new owners can recapture the vision and stop reporting the traffic, telling us what to think and start giving us useful weather information.”

The Weather Channel has been an outlet for global warming alarmism. In December 2006, The Weather Channel’s Heidi Cullen argued on her blog that weathercasters who had doubts about human influence on global warming should be punished with decertification by the American Meteorological Society.

Coleman also told the audience his strategy for exposing what he called “the fraud of global warming.” He advocated suing those who sell carbon credits, which would force global warming alarmists to give a more honest account of the policies they propose.

“[I] have a feeling this is the opening,” Coleman said. “If the lawyers will take the case – sue the people who sell carbon credits. That includes Al Gore. That lawsuit would get so much publicity, so much media attention. And as the experts went to the media stand to testify, I feel like that could become the vehicle to finally put some light on the fraud of global warming.”

More of this article and the video of his comments here

Here is Coleman on Glenn Beck,

    (I said it)

I’m far from being an expert and I can nor will I ever claim to be a person who is completely versed on the scientific analysis concerning global warming, but I do know this: Global Warming is likely the biggest fraud ever perpetrated on the world population.

My God I have read so many liberal blogs, and these idiot TV pundits who try to explain all of this global warming bullshit as if somehow they have been granted exclusive 411 (information) handed down by Jesus Christ himself.

Anybody who can’t see the great money making scam in perpetuating this global warming terrorist scare is simply a fool.

If I would have been smart enough to go into any science field, studying climatology or whatever field you need to go into to scam university or research grant monies, I would be screaming about global warming too.
Then you add that idiot socialist Hillary wanting to steal money from the oil companies and add it to Gubment pockets and you global warming folks can’t see what is happening?

No seriously, are you people playing stupid or is that Ferengi bartender slipping a Mickey in your morning coffee on a daily basis?
