Uh Oh, some Negros are pissed at the Pope!

Sunday, April 20th, 2008

His beneficence he ain’t. Pope Benedict XVI, a former Hitler Youth whose persona fits better with his given name, Joseph Ratzinger, transports his malevolent, rightwing presence to the United States next which, where he will doubtless do mischief with his political allies in the Bush regime.

[What happens when you don’t know your history or the history of others? You make a fool of yourself! This is what happened on April 19th when Bernice King, daughter of slain civil rights leader Rev. Martin Luther King Jr., did when she met with Pope Benedict XVI, a former Hitler Youth whose given name is Joseph Ratzinger.

Only a few days earlier the Pope lamented about the U.S. ‘injustices’ to Blacks, Indians. What hypocrisy! Judge John T. Noonan stated that it was not until 1890 that the Church condemned the institution of slavery, lagging behind laws enacted to outlaw the practice. Author John F. Maxwell wrote in his 1975 work on slavery that the Church did not correct its teaching on the moral legitimacy of slavery until 1965, with the publication, from the Second Vatican Council, of Gaudium et Spes (The Pastoral Constitution on the Church in the Modern World).

What ever the case, the Popes lamenting about the Satanic treatment of the Blacks and Indians by the U.S. and Catholic Church does nothing to correct 4oo years of injustice. Not to mention the atrocities committed by both upon the darker peoples of the world. Pope Benedict Go Home! and Bernice King stop disgracing the legacy of your father.

Watch the sad video of the meeting and listen to her comments, how out of touch. Who in the Black community is listening to the Pope or is impacted by his words, how out of touch.

Look I’m not Catholic, although Mrs. Snoop is. I have my issues with the Catholic faith but I am no more critical of them as I am with a lot of exceedingly fucked up “fake ass” folks of various religious faiths.
On this topic I’m posting for your FYI because particularly in this case I love how some Negros are so selective about what part of history you should highlight and what part should go on the back burner.
The first paragraph tells it all, this bitching about “malevolent, rightwing presence” is simple Negro spin for “vote liberal, vote Democrat” and disguising it as some informative diatribe against the Pope taking advantage of the all of the coverage. Knowing damm well Negros are not paying any attention to the Pope.

In this case and in so many others I love how even with the intellectually astute Negros black history is a selective process that generally goes something like this: Blacks came to this country on slave ships (enslaved by whitey, Africans had nothing to do with it); from there they went to plantations and slavery; from the plantations to the ghetto; and, finally, to welfare.
Stories like this one on black websites and in Negro studies classrooms must have the same damm drumbeat teaching a history of Negro degradation and disadvantage and at the heart of all of this misery someone must be a target.
So this week in Negrodom the Pope is the chosen target.
To understand this writer’s message all you would need to read is this:
“Unlike Jeremiah Wright, who spoke truthful words, Benedict will be lionized for telling lies.”Delusional Negrodom at it’s finest. This is why Negros listen to people like Rev Wright and are endlessly pissed off all the time.

Dutch Roman Catholic bishop: For the sake of harmony, let’s call God “Allah”

Via Fox News:

A proposal by a Roman Catholic bishop in the Netherlands that people of all faiths refer to God as “Allah” is not sitting well with the Catholic community.

Tiny Muskens, an outgoing bishop who is retiring in a few weeks from the southern diocese of Breda, said God doesn’t care what he is called.

“Allah is a very beautiful word for God. Shouldn’t we all say that from now on we will name God Allah? … What does God care what we call him? It is our problem,” Muskens told Dutch television.

“I’m sure his intentions are good but his theology needs a little fine-tuning,” said Father Jonathan Morris, a Roman Catholic priest based in Rome. Morris, a news analyst for FOX News Channel, also called the idea impractical.

“Words and names mean things,” Morris said. “Referring to God as Allah means something.”

Ibrahim Hooper, a spokesman for the Council on American-Islamic Relations, a Washington, D.C.-based Islamic civil liberties and advocacy group, backs the idea as a way to help interfaith understanding.

“It reinforces the fact that Muslims, Christians and Jews all worship the same God,” Hooper told FOXNews.com. “I don’t think the name is as important as the belief in God and following God’s moral principles. I think that’s true for all faiths.”

L.A. Archdiocese to Pay $600M to Victims

Saturday, July 14th, 2007

priestsgonewild.jpgLOS ANGELES (AP) - The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Los Angeles will settle its clergy abuse cases for at least $600 million, by far the largest payout in the church’s sexual abuse scandal, The Associated Press learned Saturday.Attorneys for the archdiocese and alleged victims are expected to announce the deal Monday, the day the first of more than 500 clergy abuse cases was scheduled for jury selection, according to two people with knowledge of the agreement. The sources spoke on condition of anonymity because the settlement had not been made public.

The archdiocese and its insurers will pay between $600 million and $650 million to about 500 plaintiffs—an average of $1.2 to $1.3 million per person. The settlement also calls for the release of confidential priest personnel files after review by a judge assigned to oversee the litigation, the sources said.

It wasn’t immediately clear how the payout would be split between the insurers, the archdiocese and several Roman Catholic religious orders. A judge must sign off on the agreement, and final details were being ironed out over the weekend.

Tod Tamberg, an archdiocese spokesman, did not immediately return a call for comment.

The settlement would be the largest ever by a Roman Catholic archdiocese since the clergy sexual abuse scandal erupted in Boston in 2002.

Among the largest total payouts was $100 million in 2004 by the Diocese of Orange, Calif., to settle 90 claims. The Diocese of Covington, Ky., last year agreed to pay $84 million for 552 cases. Facing a flood of abuse claims, five dioceses—Tucson, Ariz.; Spokane, Wash.; Portland, Ore.; Davenport, Iowa, and San Diego—sought bankruptcy protection.

Last month, the Archdiocese of Portland agreed to pay about $52 million to 175 victims, while setting aside another $20 million for anyone who comes forward in the future.

The Diocese of Spokane, Wash., also recently emerged from bankruptcy protection after agreeing to pay $48 million to settle about 150 claims.

USA Today is now reporting that the Vatican has issued a clarification of the Pope’s remarks: “The statement said the pope did not intend to excommunicate anyone. Politicians who vote in favor of abortion should not receive the sacrament of Holy Communion, Lombardi said. ‘Since excommunication hasn’t been declared by the Mexican bishops, the pope has no intention himself of declaring it,” said Lombardi, who was on board the plane. ‘Legislative action in favor of abortion is incompatible with participation in the Eucharist. … Politicians exclude themselves from Communion.’” Thus the point of my original post is confirmed. The Pope is reiterating what he said to McCarrick and what so many bishops have refused to believe: Pro-abortion Catholic politicians should be excluded from Communion.
