Blog Watch: Extreme stupidity: No tears for latest “victims” of foreclosure

Wednesday, July 30th, 2008

This if from Michelle Malkin. I had to read her entire post twice to make sense of what I was reading. These dumbasses are about to lose a home that was basically “given” to them because these idiots got greedy and these are the type of people “irresponsible borrowers” those jackasses in congress want to rob us of our taxes for to bail these mutherfuckers out because of course they are victims!
Shit I wish I had not read this because now I have a headache!!

This is Milton and and Patricia Harper and their three children, the Atlanta-area beneficiaries of a massive home giveaway on ABC’s popular Extreme Makeover TV show three years ago. (Tour their home here.) The four-bedroom, three-garage home–the largest project of the Extreme harperfamily10.jpgMakeover team to date– is now in foreclosure. After accepting a quarter-million in charitable contributions from homebuilder Beezer Homes’ employees and company partners, moving into a free home that cost upwards of $450,000, enjoying an all-expenses-paid trip to Disneyland while the house was being built, and also raking in enough money from the show to cover taxes on the house for 25 years, the Harper family turned around and put their custom-made dream mansion up as collateral for a $450,000 loan that purportedly went to fund the Harpers’ failed construction business.

Now: Tell me where in any of the bipartisan housing bills that Washington has passed there is protection of my tax dollars from going to bail out people like these? Where?

World ends! Women and Minorities Hardest Hit!

This from El Borak

worldends2.jpg

Or so the paper says:

Hollister - Despite making only $14,000 a year, strawberry picker Alberto Ramirez managed to buy his own slice of the American Dream. But his Hollister home came with a hefty price tag - $720,000.

A year and a half later, Ramirez has defaulted on his loan, and he’s hoping to sell the house before it’s repossessed. And according to many housing advocates and civil rights groups, Ramirez is not alone. As mortgage foreclosures rise, many minorities are suffering...

White people who live in a house that costs the equivalent of 100,000 hours of their work apparently do not “suffer” when economic reality asserts itself - just one more bonus for us, I guess.

But I do wonder, when a bank lends $720,000 to a guy who would have to work a half a century* to pay it off, does it issue the yellow right shirt then or does the borrower have to wait a few months until actual default?

* assuming he paid no interest at all. And never ate.

The abject failure of liberalism

slum.jpgFrom Sister Toldjah

I know this is the time of year where we’re supposed to show “good will” towards others in the spirit of the holiday season, but I’m not feeling especially charitable towards the left these days. Christmas is 2 days away. I’ll leave the left alone on that day and that day only.

I read this blogpost by Michelle Malkin this morning about a fanatical black woman shouting down white people during an angry New Orleans city council hearing last week in which a debate was held about razing public housing.

The woman, Sharon Jasper, would have you believe she’s a poor, helpless, victim, but in reality this woman is a known activist in the area who lives in the projects - and just so happens to have a mammoth wide-screen TV sitting in her livingroom. Check out the picture of Jasper’s livingroom here, and take special note of the quote underneath the picture. Here’s what it reads (emphasis added):

Sharon Jasper sits in the living room of her voucher-backed private residence. “I might be poor but I don’t like to live poor. I thank God for a place to live but it’s pitiful what people give you.”

To say that this is the epitome of the severe damage liberal “entitlement” programs have done to society would be an understatement of epic proportions. We have an entire class of people in this country who “expect” others to do everything for them, including subsidize their very existence, and they don’t want it done “on the cheap.”

Thousands Line Up to Buy Apple IPhones

Oh my God I’m “sane!” well relatively speaking…
Maybe it’s the meds or the fact I’m older and wiser, but I have no interest what-so-ever in this freaken I-Phone.

I have yet to purchase an I-pod, a flat screen TV (that will change upon the arrival of football season, I hope Mrs. Snoop does not read this), a Nintendo Wie or an X-box 360 and I have survived!!

I did purchase a new dishwasher yesterday, because the idea of dishpan hands worries me more than getting spam e-mail on my phone.

I heard one radio D.J. describe it as the “The Second Mortgage Phone” the best possible description for this new device.

A bunch of already broke ass people will become poorer because that MUST have the latest hi-tech gadget.

And these people in the photo above live in the LA area, so I know damm well they are broke.
My dear cousin who makes twice the money I do is lives in an apartment almost smaller than my office at work, no joke.
Not to mention that everybody in LA NEEDS to drive a shinny Mercedes or BMW to impress each other.

Oh who gives a crap about your school loan, that $500 a month payment on that new Mustang you can’t afford, or that OTHER cell phone you purchased for your boyfriend, now you will have to buy him this new better cell phone so you can continue to talk about and send fancy text messages about, well, NOTHING!

Congratulations on the purchase of the latest greatest technology, creditors will soon have you on speed dial and you can start rehearsing that oft used phrase “the check is in the mail” or “you can’t evict me without 30 days notice” or “mom, dad I promise I will only be here a month.”
