I have been reading shit loads of articles from Black websites and blogs hammering the point home about the incarceration rates of blacks vs. whites and how unfair the judicial system is when it comes to prosecuting black folks for drug offenses and how white folks tend to get a slap on the wrist.

However let me say what black websites and blogs won’t say. Negros who live in the communities where drug dealers and crackheads crawl around the hoods like roaches actually are HAPPY that many of these thug drug dealers get their asses thrown in jail.
Black community leaders often appeal to the police to be more vigilant in arresting these people. I’m thinking good, if more prisons need to be constructed to remove from society people who obviously show contempt for a criminal free society then so be it.

Let get real, sensitive Negros don’t read if you are easily angered, but white folks who deal drugs in the suburbs are not blasting mutherfuckers in the streets in whiteyville battling over drug turf.
Shit I live in Lawrence, Kansas and I’m sure that there are many white folks here who light up on a daily basis, but they are not shooting up their neighbors, robbing neighborhood liquor stores for drug money, hanging out on the street corners with other whiteys pimping out hoes and using little kids to make drug runs which increase crime, lower property values and lowers the quality of life.
Yes I know there are the toothless, acne scared, mullet sporting meth rednecks living in aluminum shoe boxes on wheels who instead of wreaking havoc in their neighborhoods limit their abuse to their wives, girlfriends and kids.

I get just a tad bit irritated because these blogs and websites whining like little bitches complaining about whitey not getting arrested and why Negros get caught up in the criminal game instead of focusing on how we can help prevent another generation of crackheads from terrorizing urban communities and giving the kids in those areas a shot at escaping the hood through education.

My dad told me long ago that white people have a distinct advantage in life, but he also told me that the sooner I got over that little fact and lived my life accordingly the better off I would be.
He also reminded me that “not all white people are as smart as many think they are, so you must be ready to step in when those white folks to stupid to take advantage of their lofty status are asleep at the switch. Because there are actually some white people who care more about results than color,”
I have worked to several in my life; he always reminded me that only less educated white folks have this color chip.
Bottom line too many black folks are too busy bitching and complaining about that whitey advantage than taking advantage of the multiple opportunities that this country provides.

Back to the criminal front, if Niggas are too stupid to realize that the police dragnet is just a little tighter in the hoods then they have nobody to blame but themselves.
Why not try the obvious, stay away from criminal activity and don’t associate with other criminals, maybe…just maybe it may decrease your chances of appearing in your local criminal court.

I swear Negros act as if they have a unique brand of misery. I oft wonder, when Negro women are appearing on Maury multiple times because they can’t figure out the sperm donor, or like an episode of Judge Mathis I watched the other day where this mother took her 18 year old son to court because of bail money he supposedly owed her, never mind that the mom has been on crack the kids entire life and he was trying to support himself and his little brother I thinking what the fuck?

I’m not trying to be difficult but when I read articles like this one from the Philadelphia paper on The African American Family Conference, where they had community workshops offered nearly 30 seminars on subjects including youth empowerment, fatherhood, violence, and family life skills.
How many fucken conferences do we need to have to teach people about fundamentally basic life issues? You mean some black dude needs to attend a conference to remind himself that he has a responsibility to be a father to a child or that committing violence either in the home or in your community if frowned upon?

I mean, damm is our society getting more and more retarded where folks have to be taught everything from basic parenting skills to how not to punch your wife after a drunken stupor? This is just mind numbingly pathetic.

This is another in the long line of clueless Negros who will stop at nothing at dissing Negros who exhibits any measure of independent thought.

(Mr. Imus was recently hired by Citadel Broadcasting for a job that starts in December.)

“Why are these corporations making these images normative and mainstream?” asked Mr. Coates, 34, a pastor of the Mount Ennon Baptist Church in Clinton, Md. “I can talk about this in the church until I am blue in the face, but we need to take it outside.”

The rallies are taking place as civil rights leaders, cultural critics and others use the moment to debate how to represent the diversity of black life while minimizing offensive words and images. A big issue is the distinction between standards and censorship. Some charge that what Enough Is Enough does is censorship.

By now we are all familiar with the mainstream media’s penchant for sloppy, sometimes non-existent factchecking, in addition to their exaggerations and lies (some of them deliberate), which all lead to news reports that - instead of informing the people as they are supposed to, grossly misinform the reader which, in turn, leads to mininformation being spread across the country (and world) as “fact” - and at that point, a popular myth is born, a myth that rarely gets revisited by the very journalists who aided in creating it in the first place. And even in the rare cases they do revisit, it’s usually too late. The damage has already been done.This lack of standard has once again been exemplified by the Jena 6 case, a racially-charged case that has the usual suspects parading before the cameras demanding “justice” and blaming the white man for all the ills of the world, and so on. Craig Franklin of the Christian Science Monitor busts many of the myths that have been presumed by the public to be “facts” on the Jena 6 case. He writes:

The real story of Jena and the Jena 6 is quite different from what the national media presented. It’s time to set the record straight.Myth 1: The Whites-Only Tree. There has never been a “whites-only” tree at Jena High School. Students of all races sat underneath this tree. When a student asked during an assembly at the start of school last year if anyone could sit under the tree, it evoked laughter from everyone present – blacks and whites. As reported by students in the assembly, the question was asked to make a joke and to drag out the assembly and avoid class.

Myth 2: Nooses a Signal to Black Students. An investigation by school officials, police, and an FBI agent revealed the true motivation behind the placing of two nooses in the tree the day after the assembly. According to the expulsion committee, the crudely constructed nooses were not aimed at black students. Instead, they were understood to be a prank by three white students aimed at their fellow white friends, members of the school rodeo team. (The students apparently got the idea from watching episodes of “Lonesome Dove.”) The committee further concluded that the three young teens had no knowledge that nooses symbolize the terrible legacy of the lynchings of countless blacks in American history. When informed of this history by school officials, they became visibly remorseful because they had many black friends. Another myth concerns their punishment, which was not a three-day suspension, but rather nine days at an alternative facility followed by two weeks of in-school suspension, Saturday detentions, attendance at Discipline Court, and evaluation by licensed mental-health professionals. The students who hung the nooses have not publicly come forward to give their version of events.

Al Sharpton and Martin Luther King III, are expected to gather in Atlanta on Tuesday morning to announce a march on Washington, D.C., to demand that federal authorities intervene in the “huge outbreak” of hate crimes nationwide.The gathering will take place at 10 a.m. outside the Richard B. Russell building in downtown Atlanta.Charles Steele, the president of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference, is scheduled to attend, as are representatives from the Nation of Islam and the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People.

At the gathering, organizers will formally announce plans for the march on the nation’s capital that will take place Nov. 16.

“In the history of the civil rights movements, we have often had to appeal to the federal government to intervene. That was certainly the case during my father’s era of leadership,” King said Monday night. “[The march next month] is an appeal to the federal government to do something about the crimes, such as the nooses that seem to be popping up all over the nation.”

Since a noose-hanging case on a high school campus in Jena, La., made headlines, there have been a number of other nooses found in incidents across the country: in a black Coast Guard cadet’s bag, on a Maryland college campus and, earlier this month, on the office door of a black professor at Columbia University in New York.

In Atlanta last week, a worker at a construction site for Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport was fired for hanging a noose.

“Some people say it’s a prank or a joke. But there are some things you just don’t joke about,” King said.

Nooses are a symbol of the lynching violence of the segregation era.

The grapevine is buzzing about a Don Imus comeback.
We all remember the national gadflies Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton immediately called for his resignation, and following weeks of what to do with Imus, the two along with other outraged, high-profile Negros put the pressure on advertisers, which in turn put the pressure on the network. Imus was no more.

Do you remember the public outcry from Negros for musical artists to clean up their act? Right before the incident, Essence Magazine, which caters to black women, wrote a piece on the same issue. You didn’t hear it publicized because, it wasn’t racially motivated.
They needed a poster child for cracka ass cracka media unfairness and callousness.
Imus was the prefect scapegoat.

Negro rappers and other high dollar Negros have a pass when it comes to racial insults and insulting women. Isiah Thomas; what’s wrong with calling black women bitches? I do it all the time!

You don’t hear Sharpton or Jessie talking any more about the troubling aspects of rap music and focusing again on Imus. Why? Just follow the money trail.

I suspect the high dollar Negros in the rap game paid Sharpton for his silence, so Sharpton is now seeking some sort of compensation from Imus to soften his stance on his return to the airwaves. I guess you would call it racial extortion.

Now you have this National Association of Black Journalist joining in on the scam crying foul and pretending to be outraged by the imminent return of Imus to the radio.
Remember, they need to get paid too.
I don’t give a fuck if Imus comes back on the air, in fact if I were him my first words as the “on the air” light comes on would be “what’s up my niggas.”

Imus is hardly that powerful, why Imus is granted such a lofty status that he can get a mass of Negros to tremble in fear at the mere presence of him behind a high dollar microphone is amazing.

This weak ass Negro fake outrage is only meant to make these black pundits relevant. So they can be invited onto talk shows and be seen by the masses and to grant themselves the title of “official Negro spokesperson.” of the day.

I’m like fuck Imus, yes he is a surly old white dude who makes his living tossing insults at folks to entertain his cracka ass cracka audience while in between giving a free microphone to white collar (white) political hacks who all have the same mindset as Imus but must be silent for fear of reprisal. So being on his show and pretending to discuss relevant issues in between the insults is the next best thing for these people.

But you know what is funny, Imus is far more likely to do more for black youth than any of these Negro pundits bitching and moaning about his return to the airwaves.
While Sharpton is in Jena defending some thugs, he totally ignored the black woman in West Virginia who was treated like an animal by some racist rednecks. That story was not sexy enough.

There are all sorts’ issues and community deficits facing black youth in this country and in the majority of cases its people like Imus who end up giving more to health and education programs that benefit not only black children but all children.
With the exception of people like Magic Johnson, Warrick Dunn of the Falcons, Cosby, Oprah, there are more but these people stand out in my mind, folks who have giving lots of money to help alleviate those black community deficits, most of these high dollar Negros and racial ambulance chasers like Sharpton don’t do jack.

There are far more important issues facing the black community than rather or not Imus is on the air. These black journalists should be focusing on how to improve educational standards amongst black youth, how to reduce crime, drug use and teen pregnancy.
Many of the things people like Cosby has been ranting about for years.

Look at New Orleans, still fucked after all of this time, Negros are not howling at the lack of progress there. However in that case the reason why you don’t see any movement on the rebuilding of New Orleans is that liberal Democrats don’t want the image of George Bush standing in front of a rebuilt NOLA.
I suspect if a Democrat is elected president, you will see an expedited NOLA rebirth so they can take credit for a shiny new city. Meanwhile the NOLA Katrina disaster tours can bring in a few bucks.

Finally on Imus, when someone can show me examples of Imus personally blocking the doors of schools to keep black kids from learning, or personally selling drugs to them, denying them condoms, taking food out of their mouths, denying them healthcare, denying them opportunities of higher education, or jobs, then and only then will I be outraged by him.

Eugene Robinson hits the nail so hard on the head about just how dumb Clarence Thomas is.

There are, as he ought to know, plenty of black conservatives. There are plenty of African American parents teaching their children the same lessons of hard work and self-reliance that Thomas’s grandfather taught him. The black church, I would argue, is one of the more socially conservative major institutions in the nation.

Black America has never been monolithic in its views, but black Americans do vote almost monolithically for Democrats. That wouldn’t necessarily be the case if Richard Nixon hadn’t built an electoral strategy on a race-based appeal to Southern whites — and if every Republican presidential candidate and party leader since Nixon hadn’t followed suit. Just last week, the four leading contenders for the Republican nomination all skipped a forum at historically black Morgan State University. As long as snubbing black voters is seen as smart politics in the Republican Party, black conservatives have good reason to stick with the Democrats.

Robinson goes on to explain why, until the cows come home, black conservatives like Clarence Thomas will be known as the self-loathers they are.

Whoopi Goldberg used her first day on the daytime chat show Tuesday to defend football star Michael Vick in his dogfighting case.Goldberg said that “from where he comes from” in the South, dogfighting isn’t that unusual.”It’s like cockfighting in Puerto Rico,” she said. “There are certain things that are indicative to certain parts of the country.”The Atlanta Falcons quarterback pleaded guilty to federal dogfighting charges last week, admitting that he provided money for a dogfighting ring that operated on his Virginia property and helped kill six or eight pit bulls. Vick grew up in Newport News, Va.

Goldberg was selected by series creator Barbara Walters to replace O’Donnell, whose stormy tenure on the ABC program lasted less than a year.

In the Vick discussion, Goldberg served notice that she won’t shy away from controversy.

Co-host Joy Behar looked horrified at Goldberg.

“How about dog torture and dog murdering?” Behar asked.

For many people, dogs are sport, Goldberg replied, and it appeared it took awhile for Vick to realize that he was up against serious charges.

“I just thought it was interesting, because it seemed like a light went off in his head when he realized this was something that the entire country didn’t appreciate,” she said.

Vick has been suspended indefinitely by the National Football League and will be sentenced on the dogfighting charges in December. He apologized and asked for forgiveness upon entering his plea in federal court last week.

Black owned or black oriented corporate media like BET, Radio One and the rest of commercial black radio won’t be of much use either. This is because black commercial radio and entities like TV One view black communities purely as marketing contraptions. To them we are only audiences to be targeted and delivered to sponsors, rather than a people with collective aspirations and a political will arising from our common history of struggle.

There will certainly be those who will accuse us of a lack of respect for African American political figures. They will be correct. Too much respect for authority has always been the enemy of democracy, and ridicule will always be a potent tool at the disposal of the people. The CBC Monitor team does have a great respect for facts, and the CBC Monitor report cards are based upon analyses of the legislative records of African American members of congress through the lens of the historic Black Consensus, the range of political views prevalent in African American communities.

Too much of what has passed for black journalism in recent years has been uncritical celebration of lifestyles and celebrities. In our estimation, this is not journalism at all. Ida B. Wells was a journalist. Frederick Douglass was a journalist. The job of journalists is to equip ordinary citizens with the necessary information to understand what is being done with their money and in their names. The job of journalism as we understand it, is to speak truth to power without fear or favor, especially when the powerful would rather not hear it. We at Black Agenda Report and CBC Monitor intend to uphold that proud tradition, to have some fun at the expense of the powerful, and to unleash the weapon of mass discussion among our people as we evaluate the performance of African American members of Congress.
