The only political candidate worthy of my vote!

Ron Paul Nutbars Crow About Nevada - From Brainsters Blog

You know you’re pathetic when you point to a state where you got 14% of the vote in a state caucus where you ran the only TV ads. An LA Times blogger enthuses:

Boy, oh, boy! Hidden behind all the hoopla, headlines and the Nevada caucus victories of Mitt Romney and Hillary Clinton is one little-noticed but stunning political development and number:Ron Paul, the one-time Libertarian candidate and 10-term Republican congressman from Texas, was in second place. That’s right, Second Place. The 72-year-old ob-gyn who’s always on the end of the line at GOP debates or barred altogether, was running ahead of John McCain, Fred Thompson, Rudy Giuliani, in fact, ahead of….all other Republicans except Romney, who easily captured his second state in a week after Michigan.

Woooooot! The Ron Paul Love Revolution is surging!

Also from Brainster - Drama Queen Conservative Bloggers

Add Jeff Goldstein to the list: I will not, will not, vote for John McCain.Oh, and he won’t vote for Mike Huckabee, either, and would have to hold his nose to vote for Mitt Romney. If Fred doesn’t win the nomination then Jeff’s going to sit this one out. LOL! Funniest thing Goldstein’s ever written. One of John Hawkins’ weekend guests does a little DQ herself:Jeff captures my ennui perfectly. And this reminds me of what I’ve written before: bloggers are a different breed than the average American. The air we breath on the conservative side is as rarefied as the air breathed in newsrooms around America. No, it’s as rarefied as the air breathed in the liberal blogosphere. And I mean that seriously. The idiot lib-bloggers spent all of 2006 trying to beat a Democrat because he was an apostate on one issue. The conservative bloggers look like they’re going to be spending all of 2008 trying to beat a Republican because he was an apostate on one issue. And don’t try to convince me it’s more than that one issue. McCain-Feingold? Tell me that you’re seriously going to sit out an election because of campaign finance laws. Torture (which Goldstein mentions)? Hey, I disagree with the senator on that issue, but guess what? He actually knows what torture is like, unlike Jeff or me.

You know, everybody on the conservative side of the aisle got a big laugh out of the gag that Hillary’s new theme song was, “It’s My Party, and I’ll Cry If I Want To”, and now what happens? Less than two weeks later, they’re singing it too!

*****************
Oh what the hell, so I’m a drama Queen Conservative Blogger, I’m still not voting for McCain. John McCain can kiss my black ass and any blogger who is supporting him who wants to write this trifling bullshit chastising me for my political decision making can also kiss my black ass.

I said before and I will keep saying, the Democrats can have the fucken White House; I don’t give a shit anymore.
McCain all of these years has been comfortable with kissing the collective asses of Democrats and he is frankly more comfortable with them than he is with his right leaning homies.

The more posts like this I read from McCain pimps just makes me laugh.
Fucken people on these radio talks shows getting on the air and sounding off about these sorry ass candidates, it’s not only irritating it is downright embarrassing.
The political contenders in this election cycles, candidates on both sides of the political aisle are all idiots. I must admit that I frankly feel like a complete jackass for falling for Freds faux candidacy. It was clear that he did not want the gig, I knew this from the beginning but I was searching for something, anything to latch on to. I was a fool, particularly since I posted my support here.
That won’t happen again.

Nobody can convince me that any of these people are worthy of my vote, they all suck; America has successfully fucked the presidential selection process. I seriously doubt that we will ever have a candidate who is truly worthy of the position.
Anyone worthy of the position is too smart to run.
We will be forever left with sinister, lying ass, soulless, pandering slugs who are not even deserving of being mayor of Mayberry much less the most powerful position on the planet.
All these candidates need to do is bullshit (lie to) enough dolts, speak somewhat eloquently blurt out a few crap phrases and magically you have a candidate.

John McCain supporters keep bringing up his time in the Hanoi Hilton, like being a POW automatically shoots you to the front of the presidential line.
POW or not, if your political ideology is full of holes, then you won’t get my vote.
If that draws the ire of you McCain supporters then screw you.

Huckabee Misleading Mailing on Immigration

Huckabee Misleading Mailing on Immigration

***

While Minuteman Founder Gilchrist has endorsed Huckabee, the Minutemen who are actually building the border fence and manning border outposts has NOT! Confused?

Via Marc Ambinder, here’s the press release from the Minuteman Civil Defense Corps:

Real Minutemen Do Not Endorse Huckabee.

No National Minuteman Group has endorsed Mike Huckabee.
One individual Minuteman has personally endorsed him.

For the sake of clarity, it is important to note that the Minuteman
Civil Defense Corps (MCDC), the nation’s largest Minuteman organization,
is a 501(C)4 non-profit organization and cannot and does not endorse any
candidate for public office. MCDC is not associated with Mr. Jim
Gilchrist, who today endorsed Mike Huckabee for president.

Jim Gilchrist’s erstwhile Minuteman Project is itself an organization
which by its own representations as a non-profit civic group cannot
legally endorse candidates. It does not have any volunteers who observe
illegal border activity. It has no border fence building projects. Jim
Gilchrist here speaks only for Jim Gilchrist, he does not speak for the
Minuteman Civil Defense Corps, nor is he nationally representative of
most patriots in the “Minuteman movement” – who under no circumstances
could ignore the failed record nor endorse the duplicitous “plan”
recently rolled out by candidate Mike Huckabee. The national media needs
to recognize that Jim Gilchrist’s endorsement is his own personal
statement, nothing more.

In case you people forgot: Legality of Huckabee’s Mexican consulate deal questioned: Critics say Arkansas citizens, businesses financed office to draw illegal workers - Story Link

Financial inducements arranged by former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee to establish a Mexican consular office in Little Rock may have violated state law, according to an Arkansas attorney.
As WND reported yesterday, critics in Arkansas charge Huckabee, who lately has enjoyed a surge in his bid for the Republican presidential nomination, worked with some of the state’s most prominent and politically powerful businesses to establish the consulate as a magnet for drawing illegal immigrants to the state to accept low-paying jobs.Huckabee, in an interview with WND, strongly denied the allegations.

Arkansas attorney Chip Sexton provided WND a written legal brief arguing the state government’s sublease to Mexico of office space for the consulate was illegal under Arkansas law. Sexton contended the deal raised questions about the appropriateness of private citizens and corporations in Arkansas providing financial incentives for the government of Mexico to locate a consulate office in Little Rock.

I know, I know, you people don’t care about this shit. Huckabee is a “conservative” man of God…

Intolerant, Angry McCain

Tuesday, January 15th, 2008

Found on the blog Riehl World View

While I’m not a big fan of protesting during a speech, there is something to be said for free speech. It shouldn’t include being brow beaten with a now tired response from John McCain. He continues to use an exceptional case to close down debate on illegal immigration. And his temperament in doing it doesn’t really play well at all.

If he wants to yell and curse at his colleagues in the Senate, it’s their business if they want to put up with it. But how long before this guy really goes off on someone in the heat of a national campaign?

Mr. Shamnesty-Short Fuse almost walked off the stage during a campaign event with the AFL-CIO in Michigan. Audience members didn’t like his soft-on-illegal immigration blather. They booed.

No angry Johnny I don’t believe you when you say you will secure our borders, and not grant amnesty to illegal folks. You lead this new crop of RINO Republicans who continue to pimp amnesty and think that Mexicans crossing the border and providing cheap labor is good for America.
Why don’t you just tell the voters of Michigan that you would support having all of these Mexicans come up there and work in those auto manufacturing plants to keep them open.
They can produce all of those nice cars and save money because they won’t have to deal with these ungrateful greedy overpaid American workers.

McCain to illegals: Make us cry, and you can stay (for a fee, of course) …

Tuesday, January 15th, 2008

rinomccain.jpg

By Frank Miele - Daily Interlake.com via Conservative Grapevine

John McCain, one of the leading Republican candidates for president, is thought to be tough as nails because he survived 5 1/2 years of abuse at the hands of the North Vietnamese when he was a prisoner of war.

Everyone pays appropriate homage to him for his service to his country, but since he is running for president he also deserves a serious look at his record and his proposals.

And on the subject of enforcing immigration law, McCain is not as tough as nails; he is squishy as a jelly doughnut.

Accused of supporting amnesty in the McCain-Kennedy bill and in subsequent immigration “reform” bills, McCain typically denies it was amnesty because the illegal immigrants had to pay a $5,000 fine, but then he says that under his plan no one would be able to avoid following the law. “There is no special right associated with my plan,” he says.

Except… he always adds a squishy exception.

In one debate, he said he wouldn’t deport the grandmother of a soldier fighting in Iraq because she was illegal. In another, he said he wouldn’t deport the wife of a soldier fighting in Iraq because he was possibly missing in action.

Apparently, McCain believes in “rule of law” unless you have a really compelling story. Then you get a free pass. Call it the Oprah factor. If you can make us cry on a talk show, we like you too much to send you home.

No federal funds for sanctuary cities, sounds reasonable to me.

Tuesday, August 21st, 2007
NEWARK — Colorado Rep. Tom Tancredo on Monday accused city officials of complicity in the execution-style slayings of three college students by failing to report the prior arrests of two suspects to immigration authorities.

“If the alleged assailants are found guilty of these brutal crimes, Newark and its political leadership share a degree of culpability,” Tancredo said.

Representatives of several groups — including You Don’t Speak for Me, the 9/11 Families for a Secure America and Citizens for Immigration Control — joined the Republican presidential candidate in calling for an end to policies that bar local police from seeking and sharing information about a suspect’s immigration status.

Speaking on the steps of City Hall, Tancredo said he believes Newark and other cities that protect illegal immigrants through sanctuary policies could be subject to criminal charges for aiding and abetting.

“We can no longer allow illegal aliens to be above the law.” said Tancredo, sponsor of a bill to withhold federal funding from sanctuary cities. He asked what officials consider more important: “the safety of the citizens of this city and state or this alleged chilling effect it would have on people reporting crimes?”

Lupe Todd, a spokeswoman for Mayor Cory A. Booker, called Tancredo’s visit to City Hall “crude, irresponsible and polarizing” at a time when the city is trying to heal. “The rule of law does not require the Newark Police Department to do the job of the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency,” she said.

Amnesty harms blacks

Tuesday, June 26th, 2007

amnesty2.jpgBy Mychal Massie - World Net Daily

May 9, 2007, T. Willard Fair, president and CEO of the Urban League of Greater Miami, in testimony before the Subcommittee on Immigration, Citizenship, Refugees, Border Security, and International Law of the House Judiciary Committee began his statement by saying, “Black men are much more likely to be unemployed than white men, more likely to be dropouts, in prison, in poverty, or dead. There are many reasons for grim statistics like this, including the continuing effects of slavery and Jim Crow; the shift in economy away from manufacturing; broken schools in our big cities; the glorification of self-destructive behavior by popular culture. But one factor is too often ignored – mass immigration.”

While I vehemently disagree with his first reason – and can point to readily available workable solutions to his next three reasons – it is his last reason, when weighed in balance pursuant to the population group referenced and the state of same, that is most damning. It is the 10-ton pink elephant in the middle of the room that no one is willing to acknowledge.

Fight Amnesty

Wednesday, June 6th, 2007

I received this via e-mail, This is worth reposting. Folks need to take this seriously and speak out, especially fellow Republicans!!

According to the Washington Post: “Senator Jon Kyl (R-AZ) who led negotiations on the [amnesty] bill for his party said the flood of angry calls and protests that greeted the deal two weeks ago has since receded…”

What???? Now wait just a minute… Exactly where is Senator Kyl getting his information?

Obviously not from you, because according to the Associated Press, during the 10-day legislative recess last week Senator Kyl “scheduled no public appearances” back in Arizona. Instead, he spent the majority of his time last week “huddling with party officials in Phoenix.”

In fact, contrary to Kyl’s public statement in the Post; the Associated Press is reporting that, the Arizona Republican Party is being bombarded with angry calls:

“Brett Mecum, spokesman for the Arizona Republican Party, says that from May 21 through May 25 his office received 1,600 calls from Republicans threatening to tear up their membership cards and join other parties. In 12 years in the business, says Mr. Mecum, he’s ‘never seen people try to walk away from the party, this irate over one single issue, as last week here.’ That volume of calls led Randy Pullen, chairman of the Arizona Republican Party, to call a press conference to say that the Arizona GOP opposes the proposed law.”

In the same Associated Press report, Matt Towery, the CEO of Insider Advantage, a nonpartisan polling firm in Atlanta adds:

“Our research shows that [Kyl and Graham] are delusional if they think that the Republican base, the conservative base, is happy with that bill… I think they’re trying to talk themselves into believing that, but it’s not working.” [Emphasis Mine]

And in the past two weeks, NewsMax.com readers together with CFIF activists sent more than 200,000 Blast Faxes to our elected leaders in Washington — and that includes Senator Kyl.

Those faxes are having a tremendous effect. In the past two weeks, a number of senators — such as Senators John Cornyn, Kay Bailey-Hutchison, Saxby Chambliss and Johnny Isakson, to just name a few — who were supporting amnesty are now sitting on the fence or have come over to your side.

That progress wouldn’t be possible if, in Senator Kyl’s words, “the flood of angry calls and protests that greeted the deal two weeks ago has since receded…”

Truth be told, pro-amnesty forces in the Senate know full well that their coalition is unraveling.

And they would simply love for you to SIT DOWN AND SHUT UP… they would simply love for you — and their colleagues — to believe that your opposition to amnesty is wavering and they would love for you to give up the fight!

That’s why you’re seeing press reports claiming that opposition to amnesty is wavering. After all, if you read it in the papers… it must be true!

BUT WE’RE NOT GOING TO LET THAT HAPPEN!

The Senate is back in session… debating this horrendous bill that will give IMMEDIATE LEGAL STATUS TO 12 TO 20 MILLION ILLEGAL ALIENS! And a final vote on the Amnesty bill could be had as early as this week!

We want to send at least another 100,000 Blast Faxes to our elected leaders in Washington DC in the hours leading up to this vote!

We want them to know that YOUR DETERMINATION TO STOP AMNESTY is NOT WAVERING! And that these press ploys ARE NOT WORKING!

We CAN stop this Amnesty bill from passing, but only if you act now — ONLY IF WE KEEP THE PRESSURE ON OUR ELECTED OFFICIALS!

Who’s Going To Pay For This Amnesty?

And what about the cost of this Let’s-Abolish-America legislation?

According to Robert Rector of the Heritage Foundation, the price tag of this amnesty bill could reach 2.5 TRILLION dollars… that’s 2.5 followed by 11 zeros!

To put it another way… that’s 5 times the cost of the Iraq war.

But moreover, according to Rector, each illegal alien household would generate a net cost to taxpayers of $19,588 per year.  Rector is basing that figure on fiscal year 2004 statistics which show that low-skilled immigrant households received on average $30,160 in benefits and services and paid only $10,573 in taxes.

And those aren’t the only costs.  Just three more examples…

Section 622(m) of the bill provides free legal services to certain illegal aliens.  It’s not free… our tax dollars pay for it.

Another section of the bill repeals the un-enforced federal law that prohibits states from offering in-state tuition to illegal aliens.  In other words, if you’re from Georgia and want to go to college in Virginia, you pay a substantially higher tuition. but if you’re in the country illegally, you pay the same rate as Georgia taxpayers, who built and have always supported the school.

Oh, yes, and the granting of Social Security benefits to millions will bankrupt the system.  Funny how the liberals in Congress are suddenly quiet on that subject.
