“I think the time must come when Christians and conservatives stop using Google and do their searches via Yahoo or live.com”Excerpt:
“Search engine Google is facing a global backlash from internet users over its refusal to carry advertisements for a Christian group. The Christian Institute is sueing Google on the grounds it is infringing the Equality Act 2006. The group accused the popular search engine of having a “warped value system” after pointing out that it allows advertisements for “pornography and instruments of violence”. Websites selling knuckle-dusters and ouija boards, as well as dating sites designed for married people who want to have affairs, are advertised on Google.
But the company turned down the non-denominational Christian charity that wanted to pay Google so that whenever the word “abortion” was typed in, its link would appear on the right hand side of the screen. The link would have read: “UK abortion law news and views on abortion from the Christian Institute.”
Not all Democrats in Congress bother to be subtle about their hostility toward our culture, and their eagerness to pander to those who share that hostility.A few weeks ago Congress passed a resolution recognizing the brutal terrorist cult Islam as “one of the great religions of the world” and honoring Ramadan. It passed unanimously.
Then came a resolution with similar wording, honoring Christmas, and decrying violence against Christians around the world. Nine Congresskooks were bold enough in their depravity to vote against it:
Gary Ackerman (D-NY)
Yvette Clarke (D-NY)
Diana DeGette (D-CO)
Alcee Hastings (D-FL)
Barbara Lee (D-CA)
Jim McDermott (D-WA)
Robert Scott (D-VA)
Pete Stark (D-CA)
Lynn Woolsey (D-CA)
Ten others voted “present”; here’s a surprise: one of them (Mike Pence of Indiana) isn’t a Democrat.
Presumably all of these characters have more Christians in their districts than Muslims. Whoever they’re representing, it isn’t the misguided voters who put them in office.
Y’all know I’m very much a Republican and I have ranted often about how screwed up Democrats are and why all of us Republicans need to work hard at keeping as many of these Democrat jackasses out of office as possible.
I heard Tom Brokaw on a radio interview talking about how we need to abandon partisan politics and come together in peace and harmony put our political positions aside for the sake of the nation.
Is Tom on crack? Seriously, is there anyone out there reading this post that actually thinks that abandoning YOUR political ideology and core principals is a good thing? And substitute them for what?
Let me tell you, the notion that I could somehow, alter my political leaning to become more “tolerant” of Democrats and their views “for the sake of the nation” is just retarded.
The post above is one of many examples of why I find the majority of liberal Democrats repugnant.
Democrats routinely sacrifice the safety, security and core American values that make this nation great, simply for political gain. Democrats actually take pride in; bashing and maligning our military, attacking core Christian values, catering to elements that actively seek to destroy this nation i.e. wiping the collective asses of radical Islamic types.
Democrats are proficient in promoting race baiting politics, poverty pimping, loathing capitalism; they fight harder to protect American trees rather than the American people, they actually believe we are not taxed enough and they are successful at promoting the notion that they and only they are the champions of promoting civil rights and
Democrats have a perpetual hard on for increasing bureaucracy.
I don’t know about you, but I want Democrats to lose, I want them relegated to the back of the political ideological bus forever.
Tom Brokaw and anyone else preaching this political reconciliation bullshit needs to start paying attention to the stupid shit Democrats say and do every damm day.
Here are the facts. He refuses to give ID after leaving and re-entering the terminal, then he’s asked to leave the airport, again he refuses. That’s the basis of his suit. In reality he’s trying to stop the government from using racial profiling to stop terrorists from hijacking airplanes. The ACLU (again) fighting for the right to have terrorists attack us. Such a noble cause….
******
The top official in charge of fighting racial profiling for the American Civil Liberties Union says he was the victim of profiling at the Boston airport, and he has gone to federal court to challenge a screening technique that relies on suspicious behavior to identify potential terrorists.
King Downing said he was stopped and questioned by state police in October 2003(4 years ago?-ed) after arriving on a flight to attend a meeting on racial profiling.
Downing sued the Massachusetts Port Authority, which operates the airport, and Massachusetts State Police, alleging they violated his constitutional right against unreasonable search. A trial in the case began Monday in U.S. District Court.
Downing, who is black and wears a short beard, said in his lawsuit that he was stopped by a state trooper and asked to show identification after he left the gate area and made a phone call in the terminal. (sounds like standard procedure to me- ed.)
When he declined, Downing said, he was told to leave the airport, but was then stopped again. He was surrounded by four state troopers and told that he was under arrest for failing to produce identification (how is this profiling? Sounds like he’s an a-hole to me- ed.)
The latest skirmish in the moonbat war on Christianity is taking place at East Brunswick High School in New Jersey, where school officials have declared that football coach Marcus Borden cannot so much as bow his head in reverence when his team prays.Although totalitarian moonbats have not yet been able to take away the right of players to pray, coaches are alleged to be public officials not entitled to the freedom of religion guaranteed by the First Amendment. According to the ACLU of New Jersey, Borden’s silent show of respect for God fosters a “destructive environment.” This satanic organization has taken the case to the Third Circuit Court of Appeals.
Wars have been fought over far less than what the ACLU is doing to this country.
From the blog: Stop the ACLU, A wealth of information on the history and background information on the ACLU.
Some of this I already knew, much I did not know, good stuff.
The site will post more videos so check back on the site; I’ll link again as well.
Therefore, I am for Socialism, disarmament and ultimately, for the abolishing of the State itself…I seek the social ownership of property, the abolition of the propertied class and sole control of those who produce wealth. Communism is the goal”.
Recently, the ACLU set their doomsday clock at six minutes before midnight! Once it reaches the ‘dark hour’ of midnight…we will be slaves to the ominous and evil ’surviellance society’. This isn’t science fiction. This is typical scare tactics from the ACLU.They prey upon the paranoid. This is how they get donations to fund their machine. They cry about “American citizens being spied upon” when in fact there is no evidence that anyone has been hurt by the government’s terrorist surviellance program.
While the ACLU cry that they are the guardian’s of liberty, and that privacy is one of those liberties….they have been exposed as being violators of that very liberty. They have a massive database of their own member’s private financial information they use for soliciting donations.
The group’s new data collection practices were implemented without the board’s approval or knowledge and were in violation of the ACLU’s privacy policy at the time, according to Michael Meyers, vice president of the organization and a frequent internal critic. He said he had learned about the new research by accident Nov. 7 during a meeting of the committee that is organizing the group’s Biennial Conference in July.He objected to the practices, and the next day, the privacy policy on the group’s Web site was changed. “They took out all the language that would show that they were violating their own policy,” Meyers said. “In doing so, they sanctified their procedure while still keeping it secret.”
I swear anybody who would go and pay homage to a fucken smelly ass restroom because some idiot elected official took a dump and played foot tag need serious medical attention.
Are human beings deteriorating that much mentally as a result of watching human train wreck shows like Big Brother to the mentally challenging episodes of America’s Next Top Model that they would actually make a toilet a tourist attraction?
Is this a result of Hollywood tabloids covering everything from the drug induced antics of K-Fed’s X wife to everyone’s favorite skinny skank Paris? No wonder the paparazzi covers everything from D-list celebrities popping zits in public to the unintended wedgies of celebrity chicks as they depart the grocery store.
It’s obvious way too many of you crave this crazy shit, this is just unbelievable.
I swear if I were more of a church going dude I would tell you people, go to church, for God sakes find a religion, any religion! Get your mind right, hell I’d even recommend reading some Joseph Smith novels anything to keep you people from sniffing around public restrooms.
“We believe the sting operation used to apprehend Mr. Craig was unconstitutional.”
“The statute the government is relying upon makes it a crime to use certain offensive words…. To be able to solicit sex in private, in public spaces, for instance, is constitutionally protected speech.”

More on Craig…. Remember the interview with his kids on GMA, it looks like both take after their nutty dad.
Craig’s Son, Daughter Had Law Scrapes
As part of the effort to rehabilitate the reputation and save the political career of Sen. Larry Craig, R-Idaho, his children Michael Craig and Shae Howell spoke to ABC News’ “Good Morning America” to testify that their father isn’t gay and was not in fact guilty of the lewd conduct for which he was arrested.
Michael Craig said his father was simply “a victim of circumstance” who was “in the wrong place at the wrong time.”
But the criminal records of Michael Craig and his sister, whom Sen. Craig adopted after marrying their mother, Suzanne, in 1983, not only call into question their credibility as character witnesses but may even further undermine Craig’s portrayal of himself as a defender of family values.
At least two women have sought restraining orders against Michael Craig, who was once charged with statutory rape, though the charge was dismissed. He did not return a call for comment. And at the time of Howell’s appearance on “Good Morning America” there was a warrant out for her arrest resulting from her allegedly breaking into her estranged husband’s home and destroying property.
Read the rest , while I try to recover from laughing so hard.
Update: LGF has background about the arresting officer. Allah has more legal analysis based on the complaint. And Christopher Hitchens weighs in:
Before me is a recent report that a student at Pace University in New York City has been arrested for a hate crime in consequence of an alleged dumping of the Quran. Nothing repels me more than the burning or desecration of books, and if, for example, this was a volume from a public or university library, I would hope that its mistreatment would constitute a misdemeanor at the very least. But if I choose to spit on a copy of the writings of Ayn Rand or Karl Marx or James Joyce, that is entirely my business. When I check into a hotel room and send my free and unsolicited copy of the Gideon Bible or the Book of Mormon spinning out of the window, I infringe no law, except perhaps the one concerning litter. Why do we not make this distinction in the case of the Quran? We do so simply out of fear, and because the fanatical believers in that particular holy book have proved time and again that they mean business when it comes to intimidation. Surely that should be to their discredit rather than their credit. Should not the “moderate” imams of On Faith have been asked in direct terms whether they are, or are not, negotiating with a gun on the table?
The Pace University incident becomes even more ludicrous and sinister when it is recalled that Islamists are the current leaders in the global book-burning competition.
The American Civil Liberties Union sued Judge Jim Lamz of Slidell, La., earlier this month for refusing to take down a portrait of Jesus Christ above the words “To know peace, obey these laws” displayed in a courthouse lobby. The judge says he believes the picture is legal, and the mayor of the city — the mayor and the town are also named in the lawsuit — called the ACLU “America’s Taliban.”…
The town is represented in the suit by the Christian-inspired Alliance Defense Fund, which might be called the right-wing version of the ACLU.
“[The ACLU is] one of the worst attackers of religious speech in America,” Gary McCaleb, senior legal counsel for the ADF, told ABC News.
Defending itself against the mindless onslaught of “hurricane” ACLU, the city of Slidell will have to spend money it desperately needs to help the people of Slidell recover from hurricane Katrina. One must wonder if the ACLU chose Slidell for their latest assault of the Constitution and Christianity because Slidell is still trying to recover from Katrina.
All because the bigots in the ACLU want to abuse the court system to impose their own religious hatred on the rest of the nation.
The ACLU is challenging an elective Bible history class, which was approved by the Ector County School Board in December 2005, that it is “promoting religion.” Quick question: do science classes “promote science?” Just wondering. Another question: Are electives optional?
The course [called “The Bible in History and Literature“] is now taught in two high schools in Odessa, Texas — Permian High School and Odessa High School. Rather than teaching about the Bible objectively in a historical or literary context, the course promotes religion, as well as a particular religious viewpoint, that is not shared by Jews, Catholics, Orthodox Christians and many Protestants. The course uses the King James Version as its main textbook, which is not the Bible of choice for a wide range of Christian denominations, nor for members of the Jewish faith.
In response to the Virginia Tech massacre, a student at Hamline university in Minnesota sent an email to university officials saying that it should allow licensed gun owners to carry their weapons on campus as that would help keep the students safe. The university response?
“Hamline officials took swift action. On April 23, Scheffler received a letter informing him he’d been placed on interim suspension. To be considered for readmittance, he’d have to pay for a psychological evaluation and undergo any treatment deemed necessary, then meet with the dean of students, who would ultimately decide whether Scheffler was fit to return to the university.Source
Convicted and punished without trial in a way that would do the old Soviet Union proud — as we have come to expect of American universities. And what Stalinist has ever respected free speech rights?
This must in fact be a proud day for American universities: In one fell swoop they have denied a man his right to free speech, his right to bear arms and his right to due process. A trifecta!
Sadly, the right to due process has long been denied to students by American universities — with predictable abuses following on from that. The vast injustice of such proceedings actually killed a student in the Plinton case
(CNSNews.com) - A new church-state showdown over the Ten Commandments is looming, with a religious freedom law firm preparing to challenge the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) over a monument in Florida. The Liberty Counsel has agreed to represent Dixie County, Fla., which is facing an ACLU bid to have a monument of the Ten Commandments outside the county’s courthouse removed.
The ACLU filed the motion last month, shortly after a local business donated the monument to the county and asked that it be displayed. The black granite monument, now standing in Cross City on Florida’s Gulf coast, is five-feet tall, weighs six tons, and reads “Love God and Keep His Commandments” at its base.
The case echoes earlier ones in Texas and Alabama which drew national attention.
ACLU Florida executive director Howard Simon was quoted as saying earlier that “government does not have the right to tell Americans which God to worship.”
“The Ten Commandments are an important part of the Judeo-Christian religious tradition and should be read from the pulpit of churches and synagogues - but the Constitution prohibits the government from endorsing religious messages such as this one,” he said.
A former American Civil Liberties Union executive, who once argued that Internet filters in libraries that limited children’s access to pornography would interfere with their ability to learn and communicate, is facing a federal court hearing today on charges he possessed child pornography.
The preliminary hearing is scheduled in court in the Eastern District of Virginia for Charles Rust-Tierney, 51, of Arlington, Va., who has been held in custody in the case since his arrest. According to report on the case, Rust-Tierney admitted to investigators he had downloaded videos and images from child pornography websites onto CD-ROMS, which reportedly depicted graphic forcible assaults on young girls.
Rust-Tierney, who served as president of the Virginia ACLU chapter for several years, was the lawyer who argued against Internet filters in libraries in the early 2000s when the ACLU was opposing the Children’s Internet Protection Act, which later was approved by Congress.

NEW YORK (AP) — A civil rights group asked a judge Friday to find it unconstitutional for the federal government to exclude a prominent Muslim scholar or anyone else from the United States on the grounds that they may have endorsed or espoused terrorism.
In case it didn’t sink in the first time:
NEW YORK (AP) — A civil rights group asked a judge Friday to find it unconstitutional for the federal government to exclude a prominent Muslim scholar or anyone else from the United States on the grounds that they may have endorsed or espoused terrorism.
Got it?
The American Civil Liberties Union filed the papers attacking the policy in U.S. District Court in Manhattan. The group included in its submissions a written declaration in which the scholar, Tariq Ramadan, said he has always “opposed terrorism not only through my words but also through my actions.”
The ACLU said schools and organizations who want to invite Ramadan and others into the United States are concerned about what is known as the ideological exclusion provision.
It said an entry in the State Department’s Foreign Affairs Manual says that the provision is directed at those who have voiced “irresponsible expressions of opinion.”
As a sovereign nation, the United States has the right to bar anyone for any reason entry to our country. Advocating Islamic terrorism is probably at the top of the list of good reasons.
The Young Conservatives of Texas - University of Texas Chapter announced today that they will be displaying an “ACLU Nativity Scene” on the West Mall of the University of Texas campus on Monday and Tuesday, December 4th and 5th. The group’s intent is to raise awareness on the extremity of the ACLU, and bring to light its secular-progressive efforts to remove Christmas from the public sphere. The display, the first of its kind in the nation, will feature characters that are quite a bit different than the standard crèche.
“We’ve got Gary and Joseph instead of Mary and Joseph in order to symbolize ACLU support for homosexual marriage, and of course there isn’t a Jesus in the manger,” said Chairman Tony McDonald. “The three Wise Men are Lenin, Marx, and Stalin because the founders of the ACLU were strident supporters of Soviet style Communism. The whole scene is a tongue-in-cheek way of showing the many ways that the ACLU and the far left are out of touch with the values of mainstream America.”
The scene will also display a terrorist shepherd and an angel in the form of Nancy Pelosi.
“The ACLU and other left-wing extremist groups are working diligently to destroy American’s rights to the free expression of religion,” said Executive Director Joseph Wyly. “We’ve already seen in Chicago an attempt to censor the nativity by a city government this week. It’s just more evidence that there is a War on Christmas being waged by the far-left in this country.”
Crossposted from Stop The ACLU Hat tip: Ban The ACLU This was found on youtube and it’s pretty short at 3 minutes. I wish I could find more footage somewhere. It is an accurate account of the ACLU’s founding. Does the ACLU’s communist founding mean anything about what the ACLU is today? Well, if you plant a lemon seed would you expect the tree to produce peaches? Compare their current goals to the 45 communist goals in the Congressional Record and decide for yourself.
One of the greatest myths about the ACLU is that they started out as a noble cause. The roots of a tree go deep. There is no question that it was founded on communist/socialist principles. There is no question to the founder of the ACLU, Roger Baldwin’s, ideals.
