Hmmm… Women voters aren’t warming to ‘cool’ Obama
Wednesday, July 30th, 2008
The Obama campaign has a woman problem. How big? How small? It’s not clear, but in a close election, small can be big.
And Michelle Obama spoke to it Monday in Chicago.
Departing from her prepared remarks, she cautioned a ballroom of applauding “Women for Obama” that despite their unwavering support, “there’s a whole country out there that still needs a little convincing.”
You wouldn’t have known it from this mostly well-dressed, mostly well-heeled crowd. Many of the women, black and white, young and old, were early donors who gave money back when Barack Obama was a long shot, and they were gladly giving again now. A lovely lunch of organic chicken prepared by a renowned chef, Alice Waters, brought in somewhere between $400,000 and $700,000 for the Obama Victory fund.
But the women Obama needs right now are the ones who do not dine downtown. They’re the ones who can’t afford organic anything, forced to choose between a gallon of gas and a gallon of milk because they can’t buy both on the same day.
Observation…
Barack Obama is like the organic chicken at lunch. Sleek, elegant, beautifully prepared. Too cool.
Recent numbers…
Sphere: Related ContentThe July 15 Quinnipiac University poll shows women overall backed Obama over McCain 55 percent to 36 percent. Then again, the margin was far smaller among independent women, who preferred Obama by just three points, 45 percent to 42 percent. And finally, there’s that Clinton problem. The Associated Press/Yahoo News “found that just 12 percent of former Clinton supporters say they are excited about Obama.”
Edwards, Clinton are Top Favorites
Tuesday, July 29th, 2008(Source) A new Rasmussen Reports national survey finds that 56% have at least a somewhat favorable opinion of former North Carolina Senator John Edwards, including 21% who view him Very favorably. He slightly edges Senator Hillary Clinton, who is viewed at least somewhat favorably by 51%, with 27% characterizing their view of her as Very Favorable.
Could this be why the liberal media is ignoring the Edwards “Ho Gate, Baby Daddy Drama, cheat on yo cancer stricken wife” scandal.

Tuesday, July 29th, 2008
ATLANTA — Warren Ballentine, one of black talk radio’s new stars, was on a tear against Senator John McCain as he broadcast from the Greenbriar Mall here last week, blithely dismissing Mr. McCain’s kind words about Senator Barack Obama at the recent N.A.A.C.P. national convention.
“He came out talking about how good of a race Barack Obama was running, and how proud he was of Barack,” Mr. Ballentine said. “You know he went back home and said, ‘I can’t believe I spoke in front of all those Negroes today!’ ”
“He was pandering to the crowd, talking about how he felt when Martin Luther King Jr. died,” Mr. Ballentine went on. “However, he didn’t vote for the holiday of Martin Luther King Jr.”
Rush Limbaugh, meet your black liberal counterprogramming. Mr. Ballentine is one of the many African-American radio hosts and commentators who are aggressively advocating for Mr. Obama’s election on black-oriented radio stations daily.
I read this article and found myself just a wee bit confused. Negros are already going to vote for Obama because he is black. The same voting numbers we have seen for as long as I’ve been paying attention about 90 plus percent. So who the fuck are these black D.J.’s influencing outside of the typical base of liberal Democrat sheep who will vote for exactly who the liberal Democrat leadership tells them too.
And just how does this compare to Limbaugh and what does this have to do with Limbaugh!?
Excuse me while I think out loud. Rush has an audience of about 20 million per week.
Ok the black population of the US is around 13 percent or about 38 to 40 million folks.
So what percentage of black folks are actually taking the time to listen to these so called political DJ’s telling them what they already know. Obama cool, McCain bad, Democrats cool, Republicans bad, racist. Democrats; affirmative action, welfare benefits, income redistribution, voting rights for felons, tax the wealthy. Republicans; racist, racist, racist, rich, racist, evil, did I mention racist.
If you check out the story there is one DJ Mr. Ballentine, who claims that he has an audience of three million people nationally. WOW!
Dude broadcasts from Durham, N.C. The story points out that dude provide a valuable service to the Negro community as he points out:
“Even if you are a convicted felon, you can go and vote,” he told his listeners, although the laws vary from state to state. “We need to be registering people with tremendous numbers.”
Yes we must make sure that convicted murderers, wife beaters, child support dodging, armed robbers and other assorted vermin are made aware that they too can ensure that liberal Negro Democrats wrestle control of power from the evil grips of racist Republican whitey racists.
But who are these people kidding Negros are busy watching their favorite TV shows: House of Payne, Flavor of Love, Miss Rap Supreme, America’s Best Dance Crew, College Hill, Baldwin Hills, Comic View, The Salt N Pepa Show and during the day Judge Mathis, Judge Joe Brown, Divorce Court hellooooo when do Negro have time to listen to some dude on the radio talk about politics.
Most get their political news and cues from church on Sundays.
And if they are listening to the radio they are too busy trying to win the typical black radio station contest “name the last 8 power jam hits.” In case you white folks did not know all black radio stations refer to songs as “power jams,” just FYI.
Now I’m sure that between the power jam plays anti-whitey, anti-Republican propaganda is prevalent throughout the broadcast day but Negros don’t give a shit, they are already on board and will support the obligatory “brotha.”
Still don’t know what this has to do with LIMBAUGH!
Now I will admit that maybe I’m missing something in this story. If y’all read it and can process better than I, please educate a confused brotha. LOL!

Friday, July 25th, 2008This story is from multiple sources: First the clip from Fox News
Sphere: Related ContentWhile Barack Obama was on his 2008 European Tour, he was scheduled to visit injured service members in Landstuhl and Ramstein. He didn’t.
The USA Today says it was because Obama felt it would be seen as a campaign event and not true appreciation:
“Senator Obama had hoped to and had every intention of visiting our troops to express his appreciation and gratitude for their service to our country.
“We learned from the Pentagon last night that the visit would be viewed instead as a campaign event. Senator Obama did not want to have a trip to see our wounded warriors perceived as a campaign event when his visit was to show his appreciation for our troops and decided instead not to go.”
This from NBC:
A U.S. military official tells NBC News they were making preparations for Sen. Barack Obama to visit wounded troops at the Landstuhl Medical Center at Ramstein, Germany on Friday, but “for some reason the visit was called off.”
One military official who was working on the Obama visit said because political candidates are prohibited from using military installations as campaign backdrops, Obama’s representatives were told, “he could only bring two or three of his Senate staff member, no campaign officials or workers.” In addition, “Obama could not bring any media. Only military photographers would be permitted to record Obama’s visit.”
The official said “We didn’t know why” the request to visit the wounded troops was withdrawn. “He (Obama) was more than welcome. We were all ready for him.”
The military said it didn’t allow military installations to be used as campaign backdrops. So, really, the Pentagon didn’t say what Obama said it did. The Pentagon said, “Go ahead, but you can’t take your campaign there with you. You have to go without your entourage.”
No media, no Obama. Shows you his true appreciation for their service.
Times bloggers told not to mention Edwards story
Friday, July 25th, 2008Back when Edwards fuck buddy was Knocked Up!

Mickey Kaus has the email from Los Angeles Times blog editor Tony Pierce telling the paper’s bloggers not to go there on the John Edwards-tryst-in-Beverly Hills story:
Subject: john edwards
Hey bloggers,
There has been a little buzz surrounding John Edwards and his alleged affair. Because the only source has been the National Enquirer we have decided not to cover the rumors or salacious speculations. So I am asking you all not to blog about this topic until further notified. If you have any questions or are ever in need of story ideas that would best fit your blog, please don’t hesitate to askKeep rockin,Tony
Before the memo landed, the Opinion department blog did go there. Not clear if Opinion would pay heed anyway. None of the Times bloggers report to Pierce, I don’t think, but his bosses are part of the news side. Opinion reports to the editor of the editorial pages, who reports directly to the publisher. Oops, both those positions are open.

Oh almost forgot! From Newsbusters: Will Media Report Concert Before Obama’s Berlin Speech? of course not, that is what the Blogsphere is for to pass on what the deceptive media fucks won’t. They only care that lots of people supposedly came out the see the Negro Messiah.
Let me peep you folks to something. I got a call yesterday from my dad and since he does not read my blog I can say this.
He calls after the Messiah speech and asks if I had seen it. He gushes that he had not seen anything so “wonderful” since Kennedy spoke over there in the 60’s.
He also noted that in contrast to the anti-American sentiment that is typically on display when Bush goes overseas it was a great site to see Germans waving American flags in support of a black man, “that was just truly remarkable and something I thought I would never see.”
I love my dad and since he is getting old he constantly forgets that I loathe the majority of Democrats and fraudulent fake ass symbolic liberals like Obama.
However this is proof positive that Obama got what he want. A good photo op, a time enduring one liner that will be played throughout history and a show that unfortunately dazzled old black folks like my dad and other black folks who crave the nostalgia of having a Magic Negro as president.

Remember back in May when media gushed and fawned over a huge crowd in Portland, Oregon — supposedly gathered to hear the words of Democrat presidential candidate Barack Obama — but chose not to report the free concert given before his speech?
Well, it has been learned that before the presumptive Democrat nominee spoke to a crowd in Berlin Thursday, two popular German acts — reggae artist Patrice and rock band Reamonn — entertained the gathering audience.

Blog Watch: So Did Obama “Blow Off” Troops, Or Didn’t He?
Friday, July 25th, 2008about Obama apparently dissing the troops on his trip to a military base Bagram Airfield in Afghanistan. I’ll be honest I did not know what to make of the initial story.
On the one hand my general reaction would be that pompous fuck how dare he not take the time to at least greet the soldiers, but on the other hand I’m thinking look at this political phony meeting with military personnel when I know damm well he does not give a shit about them.
An update on this post provided by our bud Muscle Daddy indicated that “Obama was a great deal more chummy with the troops in Kabul.”
There was also this piece at Hot Air Snubbing wounded soldiers?
But over at Blackfive there was this post Defending Obama, Seriously.

Since I’m not in my typically cranky ranting mood I’m not sure what to think or if I even care.

Sphere: Related ContentWriting in today’s New York Daily News, James Gordon Meek states that U.S. Army officials have disputed an email sent out by an American serviceman stationed at Bagram Airfield in Afghanistan, where the author claims that Barack Obama disrespected American servicemen by refusing to meet with them.
The email was published here in full yesterday, and read:
Hello everyone,
As you know I am not a very political person. I just wanted to pass along that Senator Obama came to Bagram Afghanistan for about an hour on his visit to “The War Zone”. I wanted to share with you what happened. He got off the plan[sic] and got into a bullet proof vehicle, got to the area to meet with the Major General (2 Star) who is the commander here at Bagram. As the Soldiers where lined up to shake his hand he blew them off and didn’t say a word as he went into the conference room to meet the General. As he finished, the vehicles took him to the ClamShell (pretty much a big top tent that military personnel can play basketball or work out in with weights) so he could take his publicity pictures playing basketball. He again shunned the opportunity to talk to Soldiers to thank them for their service. So really he was just here to make a showing for the American’s back home that he is their candidate for President. I think that if you are going to make an effort to come all the way over here you would thank those that are providing the freedom that they are providing for you. I swear we got more thanks from the NBA Basketball Players or the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders than from one of the Senators, who wants to be the President of the United States. I just don’t understand how anyone would want him to be our Commander-and-Chief. It was almost that he was scared to be around those that provide the freedom for him and our great country.
If this is blunt and to the point I am sorry but I wanted you all to know what kind of caliber of person he really is. What you see in the news is all fake.
Meeks’ article counters:
But angry Army brass debunked the Obama-bashing soldier’s allegations, which went viral Thursday over the Web and on military blogs such as Blackfive.
The e-mail claims Obama repeatedly shunned soldiers on his way to the Clamshell - a recreation tent - to “take his publicity pictures playing basketball.”
“These comments are inappropriate and factually incorrect,” said Bagram spokesman Army Lt. Col. Rumi Nielson-Green, who added that such political commentary is barred for uniformed personnel.
Obama didn’t play basketball at Bagram or visit the Clamshell, he said. Home-state troops were invited to meet him, but his arrival was kept secret for security reasons.
The Negro Messiah: He ventured forth to bring light to the world
Friday, July 25th, 2008And it came to pass, in the eighth year of the reign of the evil Bush the Younger (The Ignorant), when the whole land from the Arabian desert to the shores of the Great Lakes had been laid barren, that a Child appeared in the wilderness. The Child was blessed in looks and intellect. Scion of a simple family, offspring of a miraculous union, grandson of a typical white person and an African peasant. And yea, as he grew, the Child walked in the path of righteousness, with only the occasional detour into the odd weed and a little blow.
When he was twelve years old, they found him in the temple in the City of Chicago, arguing the finer points of community organisation with the Prophet Jeremiah and the Elders. And the Elders were astonished at what they heard and said among themselves: “Verily, who is this Child that he opens our hearts and minds to the audacity of hope?”
In the great Battles of Caucus and Primary he smote the conniving Hillary, wife of the deposed King Bill the Priapic and their barbarian hordes of Working Class Whites.
And so it was, in the fullness of time, before the harvest month of the appointed year, the Child ventured forth - for the first time - to bring the light unto all the world.

The Siegessäule — or Victory Column — was erected in memory of Prussia’s victories over Denmark (1864), Austria (1866) and France (1870/71). The column originally stood in front of the Reichstag, Germany’s parliament building, but was moved by Adolf Hitler to its current location in 1939 to make way for his planned transformation of Berlin into the Nazi capital “Germania.”
First Obama takes a picture with a terrorist leader and now he gives a speech in front of a Hitler monument. I would love to be a fly on the wall in an Obama advance team meeting as some idiot fuck explains why both these photo ops would be a good thing for a presidential candidate.

The Obamamessiah is far too busy campaigning to keep track of what his responsibilities in the Senate are to the American people. Perhaps that is why we have this latest little gaffe:
Here’s the transcript:
This, this, uh, this past week we passed out of the U.S. Senate Banking Committee, which is my committee, a bill to, uh, call for divestment from Iran.
The only problem? The U.S. Senate Banking Committee isn’t Obama’s committee. He doesn’t serve on it, nor does he serve on any of its subcommittees. Yet Mr. Smooth Operator over there effortlessly lied about his involvement with the committee. Why? To boost his credentials? To try and hide his lack of experience? To make himself look more serious on the threat from Iran? Who knows?
The thing is, it doesn’t matter why he did it. Either he lied, or he was mistaken. And if he was mistaken, then he still doesn’t get a pass. Do we really want a President who has no clue whatsoever what committees he serves on and what his responsibilities are?
I swear this man is either on drugs or he has early signs dementia or shit he just might be a fucken retard.
How the fuck do you not know what committee you serve on!?

Wednesday, July 23rd, 2008I just wrote this line below…..
”Just think about the utter stupidity displayed by Negros after the OJ verdict and magnify that times ten.”
Then I go to Michelle Malkin and read this stupid shit…
New York rapper Nas has joined a protest against FOX News.
Citing what he calls “race baiting” and “Obama smears” by FOX, Nas will join ColorOfChange.org and MoveOn.org to deliver more than 620,000 petition signatures demanding that the network end its “pattern of racist attacks against black Americans,” among them presidential candidate Barack Obama and his wife Michelle.
In a statement to media, Nas, ColorOfChange.org and MoveOn.org announced the petition will be delivered to FOX’s Manhattan offices on July 23 at 2 p.m. ET.
In joining the protest, Nas cites FOX’s portrayal of the Obamas as outsiders, as well as an on-screen graphic referring to Michelle Obama as “Obama’s baby mama” and the confusing of Obama and Osama by a pundit, who joked that they should both be assassinated. In February, Bill O’Reilly talked about a “lynching party” to deal with Michelle Obama.
“FOX poisons the country with racist propaganda and tries to call it news,” Nas said in the statement.

It’s simply not enough to be a Negro dumbass, idiots like Nas has to publicize their stupidity and ignorance.
Could an Obama presidency hurt black Americans?
Wednesday, July 23rd, 2008Misty sent me the following story from CNN.com more after the break…
“We had a dream. Now it’s a reality.”
That’s the slogan on a popular T-shirt linking Sen. Barack Obama’s presidential run to the Rev. Martin Luther King’s dream of racial equality. It’s one of several T-shirts — including “Barack is my homeboy”– that reflect African-Americans’ euphoria over Obama’s White House bid.
But there are others who warn that an Obama presidency could hurt African-Americans. They say an Obama victory could cause white Americans to ignore entrenched racial divisions while claiming that America has reached the racial Promised Land.
Paul Street, author of the forthcoming book “Barack Obama and the Future of American Politics,” says Obama risks becoming an Oval Office version of talk-show host Oprah Winfrey. She and former Secretary of State Colin Powell are African-American figures whose popularity allows some white Americans to congratulate themselves for not being racist, he says
“They’re cited as proof that racism is no longer a significant barrier to black advancement and interracial equality,” Street said.
“This isn’t new. Go to the 19th century, and Southern aristocrats would point to a certain African-American landowner who was doing well to prove that whites are not racist.”
Nick Shapiro, an Obama spokesman, says Obama believes that America has made tremendous progress in the past 50 years. iReport.com: Biggest challenges for black America
“However, the suggestion that somehow Senator Obama’s campaign represents an easy shortcut is not realistic,” Shapiro said in a statement. “Senator Obama believes that we still have a lot of work to do, and that’s not just true for the issues facing blacks or Latinos, but for women and other communities struggling to secure the basic necessities in life like jobs, housing, health care and quality education.”
***********************************
First of all this story is a precursor to the two party CNN special they are having about called: Black in America.
First the CNN program is in my estimation embarrassing and insulting.
I’m not going to go into a lot of detail on this because this program is just another attempt to put us all in categories or groups. Will CNN run a series on Asians in America, or Hispanics in America highlighting their uniqueness. CNN obviously believes that white folks racism through their collective ignorance of Negros needs to be addressed. Lookie here whitey, these Negros are more like you than not, but they ARE different.
I said it a million times I hate the notion that I am on some fucken Negro team as if all black folks have my best interest at heart.
Niggas are incarcerated at an alarming rate, Niggas are killing each other still at an alarming rate, and they are not going to school, not even managing to graduate from high school.
The reality is shows like this are in my mind extremely divisive. It tells other ethnic groups that the “black” experience is different and irreconcilable with the American experience. Blacks are the only group in America that has the benefit of
constant excuses and explanations, which is not really a benefit. It serves to the detriment of black folks.
As for this web story “Could an Obama presidency hurt black Americans?” Hurt Negros, of course not, but what I have said before and I will no doubt repeat often if Obama is elected Negros will act like damm fools. I can see the ghettoized types partying in the streets, becoming more belligerent towards law enforcement and just about any other white authority figure. You will see more discrimination lawsuits as racial tension builds in workplaces.
Just think about the utter stupidity displayed by Negros after the OJ verdict and magnify that times ten.
Oh don’t get me wrong your uneducated silly idiot whitey redneck attitudes towards black will become more strained and the typical glares and looks rednecks give me anytime I walk into certain establishments will no doubt last a bit longer, however my take is basically black folks will no doubt see and Obama presidency as an invitation to engage in more societal retardation than normal.
The Magic Negros presidency will be seen and an invitation for black folks to exert their new found “perceived” power and status. As the story states a Magic Negro presidency is payback and “atonement for America’s ugly racial past.” You racist ass white people owe us, no doubt some ridiculous call for “black unity” will arise and every community in the country will be called on the carpet to address racial injustices having a Negro president will be the symbolic club to beat the racism in injustice out of you racist white people.
Anywho, this reminded me of a good blog piece I posted some time ago “The Old Guy Perspective” Obama and race from Instapunk.
This CNN web article and the CNN TV program is just the beginning of the barrage you white people will have to endure if the Magic Negro is elected.
More of you white folks will no doubt be echoing the sentiments in this piece.

Sphere: Related ContentDEALING WITH IT. Obama says we should talk about race. He thinks that will help him. It won’t. Most of us have spent a lifetime absorbing the lesson that seeing what we see automatically makes us racist. Do you want to talk about it? Do you? Really? There are a few areas where, by virtue of age and experience, I think I can speak for the overwhelming majority of Americans. We want to get past racial problems. We recognize that slavery was a sin and that we have a moral obligation to see to it that our institutions and our own behavior are fair to everyone. We share a yearning so fierce that it amounts to an ache for a color-blind society in which all may prosper on the basis of abilities, not skin color. It is this intense emotion which facilitated the honeymoon period of Obama’s campaign for the presidency.
But the color-blind society has not been achieved. What’s more, we are constantly told — lectured, hectored, propagandized — that this state of affairs is our fault. We tend to accept the charge because the truth is we don’t spend all our time thinking about race, and so we defer to those who think about nothing else because, well, we almost never get up in the morning thinking about how privileged we are to be white, which we’ve come to accept as yet another of our endless insensitivities about race.
We’ve come to accept a lot of things, in fact. Although no one alive in America has ever owned a slave, we accept that we are all somehow guilty for slavery in the American past. We accept that in our lifetimes racial discrimination has become a routine official practice against those of us whose remote ancestors were not slaves. We accept that there are doctors and lawyers and police officers and firefighters whose credentials may not be completely up to snuff because of the top-secret compromises associated with affirmative action. We accept the popular — and tiresomely repeated stereotypes — that black people are more gifted at sports and dancing and music and sexuality, although there is no other arena in which it is fair to say that white or yellow people are better than black people. We accept the premise that there exists some kind of super black woman who is a naturally better mother, matriarch, empirical philosopher, and leader of men than 5,000 years of civilization has produced in other cultures through education, discipline, and morality. We accept that any fear we feel of young black men on the sidewalk is more a reflection of our own prejudice than the cold statistics of crime. We accept that it’s improper for us to object to obscene rap recordings, thug sports stars, flagrantly corrupt politicians, and hypocritical clergy if any of these happen to be black people. We accept that the first major inroads against the hallowed First Amendment began with a political correctness about matters of race that have since ballooned to a distortion of all human interactions. We accept that everything we disapprove of in black behavior is derived from our own lack of understanding about what they’ve been through.
But Obama has invited us to talk about race.
Okay. I’m accepting the invitation. He can regret it at his leisure.
I don’t hate black people. I can’t pretend to be color-blind because absolutely nothing in my culture will allow me to be. I admire Thomas Sowell, Duke Ellington, Roberto Clemente, Muhammed Ali, Alexandre Dumas, Sidney Poitier, Denzel Washington, Count Basie, Tiger Woods, and Bill Cosby. There are many others but that’s a sampling of the famous folks whose courage, genius, character, and achievements I would be proud if I could get anywhere in the vicinity of. The bald truth of the matter is that they’re better than I am, and it doesn’t arouse a flicker of racial feeling in me to acknowledge it. They have enriched and elevated my own experience of life.
On the other hand, I am sick to death of black people as a group. The truth. That is part of the conversation Obama is asking for, isn’t it? I live in an eastern state almost exactly on the fabled Mason-Dixon line. Every day I see young black males wearing tee shirts down to their knees — and jeans belted just above their knees. I’m an old guy. I want to smack them. All of them. They are egregious stereotypes. It’s impossible not to think the unthinkable N-Word when they roll up beside you at a stoplight in their trashed old Hondas with 19-inch spinner wheels and rap recordings that shake the foundations of the buildings. It’s like a broadcast dare: Go ahead! Call me a nigger! And then I’ll cap your ass.
Here’s the dirty secret all of us know and no one will admit to. There ARE niggers. Black people know it. White people know it. And only black people are allowed to notice and pronounce the truth of it. Which would be fine. Except that black people are not a community but a political party. They can squabble with each other in caucus but they absolutely refuse to speak the truth in public.

The Magic Negro flunks history, again…
Monday, July 21st, 2008From Hot Air - Cary Wesberry introduces the post well on Townhall.
“The audacity of being just plain stupid. The Obama campaign sure has an ability to inspire horror, whether it be driving the American enconomy into the ground where we should instead be drilling for oil or speaking at a monument placed by Adolf Hitler to symbolize Germany’s military domination of Europe.”
**************
After receiving a hailstorm of criticism for considering Brandenburg Gate for a public speech, as well as official German dissuasion, Barack Obama moved the venue to the Siegessäule monument. Obama will speak about “historic” US-German relations, but once again, Obama’s own grasp of history has been proven deficient. Not only does the site contain a monument to Prussian victories over other American allies in Europe, its placement was decided by Adolf Hitler — in order to impress crowds in his idealized version of Berlin called Germania:
Still, even as the issue of his speech’s location has now been settled, a number of politicians in Berlin are still dissatisfied with the site.
“The Siegessäule in Berlin was moved to where it is now by Adolf Hitler. He saw it as a symbol of German superiority and of the victorious wars against Denmark, Austria and France,” the deputy leader of the Free Democrats, Rainer Brüderle, told Bild am Sonntag. He raised the question as to “whether Barack Obama was advised correctly in his choice of the Siegessäule as the site to hold a speech on his vision for a more cooperative world.”
Andreas Schockenhoff of Chancellor Angela Merkel’s Christian Democrats said, “the Siegessäule in Berlin is dedicated to a victory over neighbors who are today our European friends and allies. It is a problematic symbol.”
Hitler didn’t just move the monument to its more central location. He had a taller column built for it as well, to emphasize its message of German military domination over Europe. He saw it as a message to Germans of their destiny — as well as to other Europeans as their destiny as well. It was never meant as a symbol of peaceful, multicultural co-existence.

Sphere: Related ContentSome outside perspective on the looming election, from Australia:
Obama says he will reach across the aisle to bring about big changes. Rubbish. What he is banking on is big Democratic sweeps through Congress that deliver him power not only in the White House but wide majorities in the legislature as well.
Obama’s appeal should help herald those big gains. And there’s the rub. This could be the best chance the Democrats have had since the ’60s to bring about the changes they long for, including their nirvana of government-sponsored healthcare.
Obama’s hidden message is that he wants to end the culture wars, all right: by smashing the opposition and winning them.
Phil Graham is 100% Correct Deal wit it!
Friday, July 11th, 2008Folks I’m not an economist, I can’t recite any Wall Street jargon or crunch the array of financial data needed to bring clarity to our complex economy.
I’m a simple Negro, living a simple life, with few needs or wants. I have a good solid job with modest pay, as middle class as someone can be in this country.
Yes, I hear about people losing their homes, and job layoffs and I too pay the high cost for fuel although I have a short commute, but Mrs. Snoop travels further but does carpool.
Folks stop listening to the news for a few days and just observe. Go to a mall, some casino if you live near one. When you drive around just observe the traffic volumes and look at the kind of cars people are driving. Go to a restaurant on a Friday night.
I was recently in New York in the heart of Manhattan. Fucken people everywhere, stores were packed, restaurants were full, and lines to every Broadway show were around the block.
At the airport my flight to NYC was full, airport eateries were full, everyone was yapping on their cell phones, all the kids had Ipods, people were carting around overstuffed suitcases with the usual crap.
If this economy is in collapse I don’t fucken see it. Yes if someone is losing their home because of the mortgage crunch I have seen numerous examples where people were buying damm homes that the KNEW they could not afford.
People spending their money on bullshit like their THIRD Flat screen TV, or paying way too damm much for a idiot hybrid vehicle, or 500, 600 700 a month car payments because they want to keep up with their neighbors.
The lady friend of my good friend is making an $800 per month car payment on her Corvette, not to mention that she has a $35,000 Jeep in her garage too.
I’ve mentioned before women complaining about the $80, $90 fill-ups at the gay pump because they are driving a damm vehicle that gets 10 miles to the gallon as they insist that they need their version of a fucken tank to cart their fatass kids around to all of their various activities. These same people buying their kids cell phones and packing movie theaters to check out the new summer blockbuster.
All of that and these same people will sit their ass in front of the TV and watch the evening news and bitch and moan that Bush has ruined their lives, that they can’t make ends meet and if these people looked around their damm house and saw the new living room set that is still being paid on, or again that Flat screen TV that is still being paid on, or the multiple digital cable boxes with HD programming, the numerous video game components, computer apparatuses, the pool table you purchased that you never play on, that fancy new bedroom set, that new hardwood floor , the cool deck furniture, the shiny new bike for Junior, this was after that trip you took the Disneyland or Branson or Mexico with the kids and you selfish out of touch idiot pricks, the ones who would insist that George W. Bush has ruined your lives, you read this story about Phil Graham and his revealing truth and your dumbasses got angry and reiterated what every other clueless liberal and Obama supporter and liberal blogger is likely saying this morning “Graham is out of touch with real Americans.”
Now you have McCain acting like a little bitch and catering to the ignorant masses by rehashing the old Bill Clinton phrase “I feel your pain”
Graham said that “We have never has more natural advantages than we have today”
Someone please tell me where he is wrong!
Graham being a surrogate for McCain should have kept these comments to himself.
However his comments should be used as a catalyst to make folks everywhere take pause and do some serious self evaluation.
Anyone who had a problem with his comment frankly is not being honest with themselves and likely are the ones who continue to see government as mommy and daddy.
Obama Had Already Cut Off Jessie’s Nuts…
Thursday, July 10th, 2008“Nutgate” comment.
What can I say dude is extremely jealous of what Obama has accomplished. I’m sure deep down he is embarrassed because all of his years race hustling and scamming he feels that he deserves more political clout and recognition for all of his efforts.Just think of some old dude at work, loyal employee in the company for many years. You paid your dues, you kissed the bosses ass on a regular basis, you delivered what was asked of you and in Jessie’s case conning millions of ignorant Negros to vote Democrat and ONLY Democrat, and he has been a loyal Negro for the white liberal cause.
Now you have this rookie, this nobody, who is a half breed, faux Negro who manages not to speak with a lisp, who can speak with clarity and not with a bunch of ignorant riddles and who endears himself to whitey and captivates a new generation of young people by speaking in simplistic rhetoric without the nauseating Negro dialect, non threatening, supposedly simple soul a Negro some rednecks might find non-threatening as he ascends towards the worlds highest office.
I bet Jessie is having nightmares often; he is humiliated, because he is now a second class Negro in the eyes of liberal white America.
There is a hell of a lot more that he would like to do to Obama besides cutting his nuts off. Anybody who buys into his apology is a fool; Jessie is apologizing because Obama in many ways has already cut his “politically irrelevant balls” off.
Obama won’t be inviting his tired ass to any White House functions, or seeking his council or advice.
Obama already has the overwhelming support of Negros and as we all already know if Obama does indeed win in November Jessie’s race hustling advocacy days are over.
That is a very sobering thought one that Jackson will have to live with until his death.
If I didn’t have such utter contempt for Jackson I may actually feel a bit sorry for him.

Sphere: Related ContentObama became a multi-millionaire in campaign cash via the money page at MyBarackObama.com. Now, the Chicago Tribune reports, there has been a rebellion.
Amid criticism from the left that he has eased toward the center on a number of issues in recent weeks, the presumptive Democratic nominee has angered some of his most ardent supporters while triggering something of an online mutiny. Thousands are using MyBarackObama.com to angrily organize against him because of a changed position on terrorist wiretap legislation that awaits Senate action as early as Wednesday.
I took a look, and it is almost wholly dross, but this bit from a commenter calling himself Enrique seemed to strike a rational version of the prevailing tone in Obama-ville.
