    Sometimes I think that those people with a true talent for poetry should be kept as far away from formal training as possible. This is one of the pieces that reinforces that opinion. Powerful, thought-provoking shit. See, I grew up with a lot of trash, a lot of people who fit so much of that poem, but they were all white like me.

    You know what? Instead of blacks “taking back the N-word” by re-assigning it as a secret code that one black person can say in any context to another black person but no white person can even utter outside the confines of their homes without being decried as a hateful monster, I say that EVERYONE “takes back” the word NIGGER.

    That uneducated asshole who can’t pronounce a one-syllable word correctly? That fucker is a nigger, I don’t care what color his skin is. Dude with three kids by three different mothers? He’s a nigger, even if his name is Sven McPaleson. Those stupid blonde teenaged girls in Florida who beat the shit out of that girl and were fools enough to videotape it? Those pasty bitches are niggers. My German-descended aunt who’s been on welfare since she was nineteen years old? That fat whiny broad is biggest nigger I’ve ever known.

    Maybe if enough people grow a big hairy pair, someday it will still be a term of derision, and prejudice, and disgust, but directed towards stupid, selfish, irresponsible, hateful people regardless of their race. One can hope, right?
