Sphere: Related ContentTwo weeks since the ABC and NBC evening shows took multiple days before getting around to informing viewers that disgraced New York Governor Eliot Spitzer belonged to the Democratic Party — after every ABC, CBS and NBC morning and evening news program last year immediately highlighted the party of Republican Senators David Vitter and Larry Craig — Monday’s broadcast network evening newscasts all failed to note, verbally or on-screen, Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick’s party.ABC anchor Charles Gibson announced on World News: “Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick was charged today with felonies that could cost him his job and 15 years in prison.” NBC Nightly News anchor Brian Williams relayed how “Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick…was indicted on perjury and other charges in the wake of a sex scandal there.” (NBC also refused to tag Kilpatrick in a full story aired Friday night.) Over on Monday’s CBS Evening News, fill-in anchor Harry Smith introduced a full story: “In Detroit, a sex scandal led to criminal charges today against the Mayor, Kwame Kilpatrick, a married father of three.”
The March 14 CyberAlert item by Rich Noyes, “Study: No (D) for Spitzer, Vitter and Craig Always Tagged as GOP,” explained:
The big three broadcast networks have gone out of their way to avoid labeling scandal-scarred New York Governor Eliot Spitzer as a “Democrat.” An examination of the fifteen ABC, CBS and NBC morning and evening news shows through Wednesday night finds Spitzer was called a Democrat just 20 percent of the time — twice on CBS, once on ABC, and never on NBC. So, how do the networks treat Republicans involved in sex scandals? Always, always as “Republicans.” Looking at the ABC, CBS, NBC morning and evening shows in the days after the most recent scandals broke, Republican Senators David Vitter (July) and Larry Craig (August) were labeled “Republican” on every show (100 percent). Yet for Democrat Spitzer, four out of five news programs (80 percent) have skipped his party identification….

Via Slublog, here’s footage from Texas on February 29, seventeen days before her foreign policy speech that opened with the “misspeak” heard ’round the world. I’m not sure what this is supposed to prove. We do all understand that Hillary didn’t actually “misspeak,” that her use of that word is a polite euphemism for “shamelessly lie,” yes? In fact, according to Newsweek, she’s been shamelessly lying about this since at least December, to the point where the author wonders if she’s quite literally delusional. Sinbad came out publicly and challenged her on the story on March 11, six days before the speech; I posted about it at the time. All you’re watching here is the middle stage in the evolution of a Clintonian lie, contrived to enable the sub-moronic proposition that sitting in a plane while it lands under sniper fire somehow qualifies as “foreign policy experience.” How can anyone ever trust her again, wonders Tom Bevan. How could anyone ever trust her in the first place?Exit question via Ace: How did we let that “If it’s too dangerous for the president, send the First Lady” line pass without comment?
On saying last week that she landed under sniper fire during a trip to Bosnia in 1996, when she was first lady:
“I was sleep-deprived, and I misspoke.”

Sphere: Related ContentThe campaign of Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (N.Y.) is seeking to play down news that the former first lady gave an incorrect account (are they fucken kidding!!!) of landing in Bosnia in 1996 under sniper fire, and refused to answer additional questions about a flap that could hurt her chances of catching Sen. Barack Obama (Ill.) in the race for the Democratic nomination.“We’ve said all we’re going to say on that,” said Deputy Communications Director Phil Singer on a Tuesday morning conference call with reporters.
A video from CBS News had shown that Clinton’s version of having come under sniper fire was not correct. Her campaign chalked up the discrepancy between her account and the video as a case of Clinton misspeaking.
The Obama campaign seized on the story when it was splashed across the CBS website Monday, with spokesman Tommy Vietor saying it is “part of a troubling pattern of Sen. Clinton inflating her foreign policy experience.”
Top Clinton surrogates also sought to play down the story, which could prove to be harmful to the former first lady’s chances.
Rep. Joe Sestak (D-Pa.), who was asked about the flap on MSNBC, referred to it as a “small incident that happened 10 to 15 years ago.”

Sphere: Related ContentHere’s the best video ever, again, that contrasts Hillary’s account of being shot at by snipers in Bosnia with what really happened — she greeted children while Sinbad and Sheryl Crow boogied in the background. Clinton communications director Howard Wolfson responded to the objective lie today with the closest Clinton admission to guilt in History: “It is possible” that she “misspoke.”
If you think like Ken Starr, that is!As for 16-year-old Chelsea Clinton’s presence on the plane, she was to be thrown in front of the First Lady should a bullet approach her:
“It is possible in the most recent instance in which she discussed this that she misspoke in regard to the exit from the plane, but there is no question if you look at contemporaneous accounts that she was going to a potential combat zone, that she was on the front lines.”
This absurd lie has to be intentional… some new Clinton strategy… Hmm. Aha! It’s her only legitimate credential: Vote for Hillary Clinton, because every morning she has to wake up knowing she’s Hillary Clinton, and she’s never missed a day.Clinton Misspoke About Bosnia Trip, Campaign Says [The Caucus]

Sphere: Related ContentIt’s a good thing the education field is completely dominated by moonbats, because they’re always the ones who come up with cutting-edge ideas — like no longer teaching children how to write:
My son, who is in third grade, spends much of his school day struggling to learn how to form the letter “G.” Sometimes he writes it backwards. Sometimes the tail on his lowercase “T” goes the wrong way. His teachers keep telling him he may fail the state assessment standards. We have had several “interventions.” Simon now fears taking up a pencil. Repeatedly being told his handwriting is bad (a fine-motor-skill issue) has become, in his mind, proof that he is a bad writer (an expression issue). He now hates writing, period.
This is absurd: I am a college professor and a freelance writer, and the only time I pick up a pen is to sign a credit-card receipt. Let’s stop brutalizing our kids with years of drills on the proper formation of a cursive capital “S” — handwriting is a historical blip in the long history of writing technologies, and it’s time to consign to the trash heap this artificial way of making letters, along with clay tablets, smoke signals, and other arcane technologies.
So, because her kid has a challenge to overcome, civilization should abandon the millennia-old tradition of the written word. I guess it’ll be worth it, if it raises little Simon’s self-esteem, without requiring him to exert any effort.

Sphere: Related ContentLast we heard from Eliot Spitzer’s replacement, David Paterson had to explain one hotel stay that he charged to his campaign funds that may have been for an extramarital tryst. Now he may have to explain thirteen more that he charged to the state of New York:
Despite owning a house less than 20 minutes from the state Capitol, Gov. Paterson, as lieutenant governor, routinely used taxpayer money to stay at nearby hotels, The Post has learned.Credit-card records obtained from the state Comptroller’s Office covering Paterson’s nearly 15 months as lieutenant governor showed he charged his state credit card for 13 Albany hotel stays totaling more than $2,500 between Jan. 1, 2007, and this past Feb. 18. …
Despite having a state driver to chauffeur him the 20 minutes home, Paterson, as lieutenant governor, sometimes chose to stay downtown because of a busy schedule, spokesman Errol Cockfield said.
“While he was lieutenant governor, Gov. Paterson had a grueling schedule that required him to be near the Capitol for sensitive negotiations, meetings with legislative leaders, and government-related conferences,” he added.
Sensitive negotiations … for what? As Lieutenant Governor, he had as much power as the hotel doorman in legislative issues. Paterson himself noted that he had no role in budgetary matters, for instance. He wouldn’t have cast any votes, and the Governor would have had the veto power. He had no official role in negotiating anything. That leaves it to the imagination why Paterson would have eschewed a 20-minute ride home from his chauffeur for an expensive stay at the Crowne Plaza or Clarion. Why didn’t he just return home and save the taxpayers some money? Isn’t that the reason he and his wife spent the money to buy a home nearby the capital? The people of New York have to wonder when the hits will stop coming. If Paterson has to step down, then Joe Bruno takes over as Governor — even though he’s in the middle of a federal investigation for business dealings outside of politics. Even at that, it would only be temporary, until a special election could be hald. Perhaps that’s what New York needs, as well as a completely new political class.

WASHINGTON — Senator John McCain never fails to call himself a conservative Republican as he campaigns as his party’s presumptive presidential nominee. He often adds that he was a “foot soldier” in the Reagan revolution and that he believes in the bedrock conservative principles of small government, low taxes and the rights of the unborn. What Mr. McCain almost never mentions are two extraordinary moments in his political past that are at odds with the candidate of the present: His discussions in 2001 with Democrats about leaving the Republican Party, and his conversations in 2004 with Senator John Kerry about becoming Mr. Kerry’s running mate on the Democratic presidential ticket.
There are wildly divergent versions of both episodes, depending on whether Democrats or Mr. McCain and his advisers are telling the story. The Democrats, including Mr. Kerry, say that not only did Mr. McCain express interest but that it was his camp that initially reached out to them. Mr. McCain and his aides counter that in both cases the Democrats were the suitors and Mr. McCain the unwilling bride.
Sphere: Related ContentLawhawk and I saw this at about the same time. In an Associated Press report on a perjury indictment for Kwame Kilpatrick, reporter Corey Williams leaves a little something out of the story. Guess which political party Kilpatrick represents?
Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick, a one-time rising star and Detroit’s youngest elected leader, was charged Monday with perjury and other counts after sexually explicit text messages contradicted his sworn denials of an affair with a top aide.Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy also charged the popular yet polarizing 37-year-old mayor with obstruction of justice and misconduct in office.
Former Chief of Staff Christine Beatty, 37, who also denied under oath that she and Kilpatrick had a romantic relationship in 2002 and 2003, was charged with perjury and obstruction of justice. …
Perjury is a felony, punishable by up to 15 years in prison. But for Kilpatrick, a conviction also would mean his immediate expulsion from office. The Detroit City Charter calls for any elected official convicted of a felony while in office to be removed.
The Name That Shall Not Be Mentioned is, of course, Democrat. The AP studiously avoids mentioning party affiliation in the article at all. It runs 537 words as of noon ET, and not one of those words are “Democrat” or any other derivative.

Sphere: Related ContentFucking unbelievable, three years ago I decided to stop harassing Lawrence.com blog participants and started at blog three years ago which developed into this blog two years ago this week.
Shit I hate the word blog although I am one of bloggings biggest advocates. I wish there could be some sort of name change, but it has unfortunately been woven too deep in internet consciousness.
My “online diary” is my way of communicating, which is one of the most powerful drives humans possess. GAG!
Unlike most folks I did not start ranting here to specifically communicate to folks on the outside world or to “share” my views because the longer I blog the more poison my twisted take on all things political seems to get.
Despite what some might view as over the top ranting I have been exceedingly disappointed that few have given me direct feedback. However I realize that when I do decide to rant about a given topic I rarely leave little wiggle room for any discussion or feedback. My readers are likely stunned and in utter disbelief that such a nice Negro could freely unleash such angry rhetoric without batting an eye.
I have said often to people what I rant about are indeed my true feelings. The angry rants and foul mouth laced tirades that seem to stir inside the grey matter are indeed what gets banged out on my keyboard.
Sugar coating my thoughts or trying to put some sort of Shakespearian twist on raw emotions is frankly boorish and pointless.
As wrong as some of you might think I am on some issues airing my general grievances in an unfiltered manner frankly gives you a better perspective on me personally.
As I have said from day one, this blog is more a therapeutic exercise for me than anything else.
There are no doubt those in the blogging world who would lament that technology has brought us social isolation. With cell phones, faxes, email, and the internet enable us to work and carry on with the business of life without the need for face to face, human interaction and that perhaps blogging is a way for us to reach out and connect with others of similar interests and backgrounds, just as we might have “gathered in the town square” 200 years ago. GAG!
Well I don’t have to tell you people that 200 years ago I might have been some house Nigger on a plantation somewhere and I certainly would not be a participatory member of early American society.
I once said, or at least I think I said once said that one of my reasons why I blog is to ensure that the white folks who happen to find their way here know that all of us Negros are not monolithic in our thinking.
We all don’t think whitey is out to get us, we all are not Muslims with bow ties selling bean pies on street corners, we all don’t gorge ourselves with fried chicken and watermelon, we all don’t like fucken pigs feet and chitlins.
We all don’t vote Democrat like a bunch of slaves, don’t consider Bill Clinton as the first black president an do not consider the gubment my “daddy!”
Some of us think that baggy pants and wearing house slippers and do-rags to Walmart is just wrong!
Some of us value education and some of us don’t think that putting shiny rims on cars or adding shiny shit to your teeth makes you cool and think that drinking Hennessey to be Negro trendy is frankly silly. Shit I hate Hennessey, don’t like Malt Liquor, and never understood why menthol cigarettes were the preferred choice of slow death amongst black folks.
I am not under any delusions that my ranting here will change any minds. To the vast majority of rednecks a nigger is a nigger is a nigger.
Some bloggers are under the drug induced delusion that they can stimulate people to think in new ways or build bridges to understanding or that blogging would make an individual more interesting person. GAG!
I was under the notion for a time that blogging caused me to think things through a lot more thoroughly or challenged my preconceptions that would makes me think harder before I formed opinions. That was a fucken fairytale notion.
Blogging has not made me more insightful, more open to new ideas or given me richer opinions and perspectives.
I’m still an insular middle age bastard who is incapable of processing vision through rose colored glasses. When I see a politician all I can process is the shit on the bottom of their shoes.
Blogging positives, I do however think that so many individuals willing to dedicate time to express ideas and opinions will make for great reading research someday.
Although I don’t write as much as I should tho I am attempting to write more, my collection of posts with pictures accompanying my rants will hopefully expose my tiny little vision of the world as I saw it.
I see my little blog as my literary graffiti contribution to future generations in particular my grandkids and those who will live on long after me.
Man I wish I could have read the opinions and thoughts of my grandparents and family members long passed. It may help explain some of my foibles.
I am honestly very surprised that I have stuck with this for two consecutive years; actually I had my prior blog The Snoop Zone for almost a year prior to this one.
Blogging has improved my reading comprehension, my writing skills to some degree although I am still a grammar and spelling Nazi’s worst nightmare.
What blogging does for me is it forces me to stay in touch and to stay engaged. However, most of all via my daily reads of many my favorite blog warriors I am comforted in the fact that although my opinions of liberals and Democrats are exceedingly harsh and critical there are those who share the same frustrations and who can see through all the political bullshit that exists out there.
I think that by having so many people out there on both sides of the political divide willing to dedicate countless hours shining the light on the scores of political rats who continually degrade our society is beneficial to society at large.
However if my cranky rants manage to stand the test of cyberspace time I can’t help but to chuckle at the reaction of future family generations reading my profane angry rants.

INDIAN WELLS, Calif. (AP) — WTA head Larry Scott said Thursday that he strongly disagrees with comments made by Richard Williams, father of Serena and Venus, regarding racism on the women’s tour.Saying he was disappointed by Williams’ recent remarks during an interview in India, Scott said in a statement: “The Tour has a zero tolerance policy when it comes to racism, and I have previously let Mr. Williams know that he should let me know if he ever had evidence of racist comments or acts in women’s professional tennis.”
While his daughters were playing earlier this month in Bangladore, India, where Venus reached the quarterfinals and Serena won the title, Williams told the Deccan Herald, “Well, I’m black and I’m prejudiced, very prejudiced. People are prejudiced in tennis. I don’t think Venus or Serena was ever accepted by tennis. They never will be.”
He said the media treated his daughters unfairly, that it was “the worst media job that they have done on any human being in the world,” and that if he were Serena and Venus, he would have quit playing.
“But if you get some little white no-good trasher in America like Tracy Austin or Chris Evert, who cannot hit the ball, they (the media) will claim this is great,” he said.
Scott said, “Champions like Chris Evert and Tracy Austin have done so much to help build women’s tennis to where it is today, and it is regrettable that anyone would criticize them in this manner.”
The Williams sisters haven’t played at Indian Wells since 2001. They were booed after Venus pulled out of a semifinal match against her sister, citing knee tendinitis. Serena went on to win the title, but was booed during and after the championship match.

Obama campaign: “GUILTY BY ASSOCIATION!!!”

In Philadelphia this morning, Barack Obama confronted the remains of the Jeremiah Wright brushfire, the smoldering embers of this anecdote of his grandmother using racial stereotypes that made him cringe… and promptly spilled gasoline on those embers.
610 WIP host Angelo Cataldi asked Obama about his Tuesday morning speech on race at the National Constitution Center in which he referenced his own white grandmother and her prejudice. Obama told Cataldi that “The point I was making was not that my grandmother harbors any racial animosity, but that she is a typical white person. If she sees somebody on the street that she doesn’t know (pause) there’s a reaction in her that doesn’t go away and it comes out in the wrong way.”
The grandmother reference from the speech, as you’ll recall:
I can no more disown him than I can disown the black community. I can no more disown him than I can my white grandmother – a woman who helped raise me, a woman who sacrificed again and again for me, a woman who loves me as much as she loves anything in this world, but a woman who once confessed her fear of black men who passed by her on the street, and who on more than one occasion has uttered racial or ethnic stereotypes that made me cringe.
You know, typical.

The Hamas piece was first published by the Los Angeles Times, garnering the newspaper much criticism.According to senior Israeli security officials, Marzook, who resides in Syria alongside Hamas chieftain Khaled Meshaal, is considered the “brains” behind Hamas, designing much of the terror group’s policies and ideology. Israel possesses what it says is a large volume of specific evidence that Marzook has been directly involved in calling for or planning scores of Hamas terrorist offensives, including deadly suicide bombings. He was also accused of attempting to set up a Hamas network in the U.S.Marzook’s original piece was titled, “Hamas’ stand” but was re-titled “A Fresh View of the Palestinian Struggle” by Obama’s church newsletter. The newsletter also referred to Hamas as the “Islamic Resistance Movement,” and added in its introduction that Marzook was addressing Hamas’ goals for “all of Palestine.”
In the manifesto, Marzook refers to Hamas’ “resistance” – the group’s perpetuation of anti-Israel terrorism targeting civilians – as “legal resistance,” which, he argues, is “explicitly supported by the Fourth Geneva Convention.”
