Inmates are often kept in solitary confinement for 23 hours a day and, thanks to new technology, have almost no interpersonal interactions. Advocates have long criticized these units as responsible for mental degeneration and derangement. The United Nations has denounced them as inhumane. A recent spat of lawsuits have claimed that Supermaxes violate the 8th Amendment ban on cruel and unusual punishment.

Although American prisons are financially and ethically grievous, the incarceration rate continues to skyrocket with hardly a peep from politicians. This may be because the prison system impacts our society’s most disempowered. Once you’re convicted of a felony, you are stripped of your rights as a citizen. (In seven states, a quarter of the entire black male population is permanently ineligible to vote.) The fact that the prison system acts as an often-privatized, productive growth industry for the country (the third largest) offers tangible economic benefits that keep politicians tight-lipped. After all, prisons need to be built, prisoners clothed, supervised and provided for. Looking for access to a 35 billion dollar industry, corporations, defense giants and investment banks are eager providers.

Folks I’m not a statistician, I can’t give you all of the facts on the issue of more Negros being in jail then in college, but as far as I’m concerned I don’t give a fuck about the stark numbers. Just go to jail – any jail – and count the brown faces as compared to the white. Now go to a school – any school – and do the same. Then you figure it out.

Either way, I don’t think we have enough prisons.

Now I’m not some dude wanting petty thieves or casual weed smokers locked up for eternity. Quite the contrary actually. For that type of thing, I favor retribution that fits the crime. Make the thief work to pay back what was taken, 10 fold. And make the drug user work to rehabilitate people negatively impacted by such uses.

But for person on person crimes…Lock them up and throw away the key. There are simply way too many career criminals, sexually deviant child molesting, wife beating, gang members, socially retarded pieces of shit criminals roaming the streets of America and I don’t give a shit what race they are.

I think I wrote something about this way back when, and I am too lazy to look it up, but I have always thought that the notion of there being more Negros in prison than in college was not even slightly logical.

Quick Google University Research shows that back in 2000 it was said that there were an estimated 791,600 African American men in prison and jail, and 603,000 in higher education. That’s about a 191,000 difference.

However I believe that the Justice Policy Institute’s estimate of the number of African American men in college is too low. According to the Census Bureau, there were an estimated 804,000 African-American men in college in 2000.
Via Google University research, I found that one dude tracked down the respective figures for those age groups and found that for African American men 18-24, there were 480,000 in college and 180,000 in prison or jail. So, depending upon which statistics you rely upon from 2000, there were (barely) more black men in jail or prison then in college. There may have even been more in college then jail.

So here’s what I think - a young black male is, in fact, two-and-a-half times as likely to be in college then he is to be in prison or jail.

Those numbers are even more impressive when all Negroes of any gender are included. Murray notes that there were 747,000 African American women 18-24 in college as opposed to only 9,000 in prison or jail in 2000. So, in total, there
were 1,216,000 young African Americans in college compared to 189,000 in jail or prison.

Y’all can look it up and find out the real numbers if you wish, but like I said, I don’t particularly care about statistics. What matters to me most are individuals.

There is this thing called free will. And we all have it. Even and especially my fellow black citizens.

If you CHOOSE to be an uneducated, freeloading, gubment parasite that will all but guarantee your place at the ass end of the social and economic ladder why should I be concerned that there are prison cells available for occupancy?

But race baiters NEED to spread the stereotype that darkies are flooding America’s prisons.

The real fact is black men are much more likely to be carrying books than a gun.

Tremendous advances have been made in crime reduction in the African American community . . . which should not be hidden by presentation of statistics that, however well intentioned, show that community in a negative light. Any time you read or hear something about the uneven number of blacks in jail versus school, be skeptical. Those numbers support a political agenda that would keep Blacks in the victim role that so many liberals use to support their power base.

For those of you who have heard me rant about my baby daughter before stop reading now. My apologies to my blog homies, I’m sorry for repeating but my own real life issues are relevant.

My daughter, now 20, had 1 child with a complete waste of human flesh. She is now pregnant with her second child apparently with another less than desirable individual.

Don’t get me wrong, my baby (she will always be my baby) is beautiful, smart (shit loads smarter than I am) with endless talents. However, by not listening to her daddy or anyone else with more common sense, she STILL does not have even her GED, is on some sort of social aid, struggling and unless she CHOOSES to move, finish her education, and seek a better quality of friends and acquaintances she will be at that ass end of the social and economic ladder.

She was not fucked by Republican right wing evil and greed. George Wallace was not blocking the doors of any school she attempted to attend, nor were any racist white people chanting “Negros go back to Africa.” She was raised
in a two parent household until her teens. My former wife and I had a decent marriage for most of our 14 years. There were other factors that caused our divorce. But it was not due to our hatred of each other. We still get along great. In fact, last Thanksgiving, the ex wife and her boyfriend (a nice man) came to our house for a big family feast. So my daughter cannot blame her bad choices upon the family drifting apart! Society did not make her choose the path she is taking (which is leading no where good). She did that all on her own! And I still have hope she’ll turn around one day.

I have said all of this before, but I don’t want anybody to come here with the delusions that I am some self hating Uncle Tom gleefully ranting about Negro issues simply to amuse whitey; “Black people who CHOOSE to associate themselves with like minded loser idiot liberal fucks do so at their own peril.”

Folks none of my friends who share my same pigmentation have ever been to jail have not only college degrees, but several have multiple degrees. They have been successful in their military and civilian careers, have raised beautiful successful children and are leaders in their communities.

Message to all Negros: if you CHOOSE your friends carefully, and associate yourself with like minded, confident, engaged smart individuals, get an education, get away from this idiot concept of “racial teams” your life would be so much better.

However if you idiot Negros CHOOSE to go broke buying rap ring tones, or CHOOSE to go broke buying the most expensive cable television package while paying 26% interest rates on car loans and credit cards because
being able to watch Def Comedy Jam is far more important than a good credit rating, then do NOT blame “the man” or whitey when things go badly for you!

If you CHOOSE to spend shit loads of money on designer shoes, gold teeth or spinner rims because no matter how fucken broke you are the idea is to not let everyone see how broke you are, then do not be surprised when you are constantly harassed by debt collectors and cannot afford your own home.

The fleeting fraud outward examples of opulence, otherwise known as “ghetto fabulous” is engrained in the Negro lifestyle.

My daughter CHOSE to not finish school, to hang out with and get pregnant by idiot ass Negros, to accept mediocrity and a less than desirable lifestyle. She chose not to listen to her opinionated, ranting right wing daddy. So she landed exactly where I told her she would end up. I hate being right about such things. But what are you going to do? Adults get to choose for themselves. Even my own child.

The victim mentality that excuses us from making bad decisions is why Negros CHOOSE to go to churches and listen to these idiot fuck pastors that choose to pacify Negro mediocrity via repetitive hate whitey bullshit.

Folks let me tall ya, this will never end. Retarded darkies will stay stuck in the hole of victim-hood and stupid poverty until the end of time. Some in my race will continue to fling a symbolic finger at the white establishment because honestly it makes a great deal of Negros feel better to have that common enemy no matter how intellectually inept or warped that thinking may be.

There are more black people like myself out there folks, believe me. But speaking out is problematic and it could be - in many cases - societal suicide.
There are just a lot of black folks who will remain silent for various reasons. I won’t even begin to fault these people, I don’t think you white folks out there can imagine just how speaking out against Negro bullshit can really fuck you up socially if you work or live with a circle of black folks who are brainwashed by idiot Negrodom.

Because of the controversy surrounding Rev J. Wright I have heard a number of TV pundits scoff at how silent the black community is regarding his idiot racist crap. But I understand it. Speaking out can socially isolate you and in many case could lead to serious ramifications in the black community.

For me, I don’t hang out nor live around any crazy, tard Negros. I’m just some ranting darkie who lives in Middle America minding my own business, no political pull or social impact or bully pulpit.

Not sure exactly how I would be received by mainstream America spilling the beans about idiot Negrodom.
