Love you too Boo!

While I may like the rhetoric or ideas of Ron Paul (being a closet libertarian myself) he himself is a nut ball and from all I've read probably does have racist leanings (or at least does not care about other people having those leanings!). We need someone who really isn't loony to espouse these ideas. Not him.

Snoop,

I'm with Mrs.Snoop on this. I actually like Ron Paul's ideas and his rhetoric but his racist b.s. is what keeps me from voting for him. Unlike Mrs.Snoop, I'm a black woman and I would be a damn fool to vote for him , because of his racism. On paper, I PREFER Ron Paul to Hillary the witch, not to mention the entire republican field (sorry, your man Fred Thompson does nothing for me, plus he's associated with my former Senator, George "Macaca" Allen...no thanks). If a candidate is racist, I will not vote for him no matter how good his rhetoric is. If I love his message (and I love Ron Paul's message), that message will take a backseat once I find out their feelings on this issue. Race affects every single aspect of my life and that's not because I'm obsessed with it, it's because the average white person is crazily obsessed with it. Snoop, have you looked around the internet at messageboards and blogs?? Even when a subject has nothing to do with race-which is usually, whites bring race/their hatred for blacks into everything. It's pathological. They hate us but if we left the country, they'd come over to wherever we were just to start shit because they can't live without us. You know it and I know it. If we left the States (as many want us to do), who would be the white whipping boy then? What race would they gang up on? All their fun would be gone, wouldn't it?
By the way, I've traced my ancestry in America back to the 1600's. I'm black, I'm rooted and I'm not going to Africa. My black ass has been in this nation ALOT LONGER than most (98%-at least)of ALL whites. If they don't want to live in the same country as me, they can take their asses back to Europe because I ain't leavin'.

I do not read those sites. I read yours. I read yours for a reason, that I find it worth doing so. Unfortunately your site leans toward rehashing the old information about Paul every time you can find it anywhere, as nauseum. So I occasionally point out it seems a bit much, and you are ignoring some good points that should be addressed.

And frankly, I still don't know what specific quotes, which should be judged in the context of history, actually bother you and why. Like the post to which I'm replying, there is so much rambling about unrelated issues before and after what might be the actual subject, I've long since lost the ability to get the point. "How some pronounce ax?" What on earth are you talking about? As just one reason why that has nothing to do with any of this, that mispronunciation is the result of a flawed, artificially created and counterproductively embraced CULTURE, and has nothing to do with race. This all seems more to me a phenomenon not unlike the love for Obama, focused on a belief of the candidate's ideas rather than substance.

Now let me say this again in the hopes it will take hold this time:

*****
I AM NOT A RON PAUL FOR PRESIDENT SUPPORTER.

Keyword: "NOT"
*****

I support Thompson! Who, I believe, you also support!

Among his other problems, as you and I appear to agree on, Paul is a lousy leader. He practically quivers like a terrified pekingese when trying to make a point. He is in desperate need of a voice coach so as to kill his whining tone. It's awful. He can't lead.

HOWEVER, Paul is the only candidate who is reminding people of the Constitution. He has a lot of good things to say, whether you like his twenty year old observations or not.

I wouldn't care if you said, "I think Paul is a racist bastards based on those twenty year old pamphlets I can't get over BUT..." every single time. And I'm not saying you may not have a valid argument buried in the race/culture obsession somewhere. What I am saying is this is a LOT like PC Leftists who go nuts screaming about nothing but how Jefferson owned slaves so as to tear him down, instead of focusing on what should be most important, his part in founding the country.

The Republican party is in serious trouble right now. The leadership is obsessed with big government and spending. There are TWO candidates on those debate stages who actually promote CONSERVATISM or something close to it. The rest of them are terrifying warmongering, liberal big spenders. And the two conservatives are considered to have no chance.

You don't like him because you've decided he hates black people. Okay. Fine. All I'm saying is, feel free to mention it every single time, but what he's saying about the Constitution is RIGHT, and needs to be said! The Constitution, federalism, liberty. Conservatives should care about that. Are we truly a party no different than Democrats, willing to fracture ourselves over side issues while letting corrupt big spenders take away our liberty and money?

Hate the guy. Say it ever. single. time. But shouldn't there be SOME mention of the fact that his arguments during these debates are often RIGHT, and he's being snickered at by the other candidates, leaders among Republicans, as if they are schoolchildren??? THAT is all I'm saying. I don't want him running the country. (Although I'd like him in several Cabinet positions.) But I do want what he is saying, as he screams into the giant maw of the liberalism-tainted greedy Republican beast, to be heard.

Melvin, I don’t discount anything you are saying and I understand, let me be clear I don’t even hate Ron Paul, I post Ron Paul stuff more because of what I hear Ron Paul folks say more than I care that Ron Paul may of may not have said it.
I’ll tell you what, no more Ron Paul post for the rest of the month unless he says something relevant.
You see Melvin, even if I were to ignore the newsletter mess and just focus on his constitutional rants he has yet to say anything of substance.
Ok we need to go back to Constitutional principals, yada, yada, but that means what?
What specifically would he do as president? What is his plan, he has no plan!
This is why I posted the old You Tube clip of the MDJ show twenty years ago, he is all rant and NO substance.

I’ll say it again if Ron Paul has a specific plan for America that I am missing, then someone, ANYONE can write me a post that I will put at the top of my blog.

Don’t send my any platitudes and we should go back to yada, yada. I won’t mention that he said that the civil rights act of 64 was basically a joke.

Don’t send me any links I want someone to spell out Paul’s specific plan for America.

Don’t send me any “he wants to eliminate the IRA” when Russet asks him how the fuck do you do that, and he looks bewildered.

Saying, I want to get rid of the IRS, dept of Ed, the FBI and CIA? Melvin that is not even slightly logical and you know as well as I do that will never happen. So someone ranting about it does not make him insightful of courageous.

Lastly most of the people who clamor over Ron Paul are anti-war liberals. Most of his supporters are 9/11 conspiracy nuts.

Bottom line, when I decide on what person I want to support for president, I consider what someone has said, done, accomplished. I consider his or basic character, leadership qualities. With Thompson I know one of his key operatives, he is a man I admire and respect greatly and we talked about what kind of man is Thompson and he says that Thompson is a man of character and conviction, but more than anything he is a good man, not simply a good presidential candidate.

So to C.L who says “he’s associated with my former Senator, George “Macaca” Allen…no thanks” is just hollow. If guilty by association is a qualification for president then all candidates on both sides would be disqualified.

Paul gets laughed at Melvin because he does not address his arguments in a strong, statesman like intellectual tone, he bitches and cries like a child, dude is 73 years old!
He is STILL ranting like he did when he was on white trash TV.
It’s Code Pink like, if you are against the war and for the constitution ect barking at people will not get you the proper attention.
This is an amazingly simple premise, any why well meaning folks like yourself don’t see that is frankly baffling to me.

The saying “you can’t judge a book by its cover” is bullshit. America makes superficial judgments everyday. Ron Paul will not be taken seriously, nothing he says matters until he changes peoples perception of him and improves the “book cover.” He is either too clueless or does not care about actually being president. He has never evolved in twenty years into a person that people can respect. Blame him for that, not me for posting examples of it. This is the reality we live in today.

That's why they should all be disqualified, Snoop. I've found that old saying "bird of a feather..." to be true on more occasions than not. IMO, Fred just found his footing in the most recent debate, and that was barely. My favorite Republican is John McCain and I wanted him as the nominee back in 2000 but Shrub got it instead. John McCain has changed slightly to suit the evangelical right. I want a President who's true to himself because that means he's true to the people. I could never see myself voting for any of the current candidates with the exception of John McCain and that is why I'm hoping he's the nominee. Huckabee is too much of an evangelical, Mitt is very wishy washy-although he's hot and "Presidential", Thompson is Reagan "very lite", Ron Paul comes across as batshit crazy...not his ideas just his delivery and I don't like him as a person, I just hate Guiliani. The only 3 Republicans I like as PEOPLE are Huckabee, Thompson and McCain. I just think Thompson is unelectable. And no, his association with George Aleen won't help him any.

I don't believe anyone who WANTS the job of US President is qualified for the job. Only someone wiht a huge ego and/or the ability to ignore reality would take on that task. Mr. Snoop & I know a fellow who is a sane Ron Paul (ElBorak by name) who LIVES the libertarian and Christian life, as much as anyone I know. He wouldn't take the job of US President if it was given to him on a silver platter (he would, however, happily take the silver platter and add it to his stash of precious metals).

And as far as most whites hating most blacks C.L. Not true. Those who hate anyone (of any race or for any reason) are ignorant and fearful (those go hand in hand). I am white and Mr. Snoop will tell you that I don't hate Black folks. Quite the contrary! LOL. It's not the package that I see - it's the person.
