Paul Defends Asking for Special Projects
“I’ve never voted for an earmark in my life,” the Texas congressman said under questioning on NBC’s “Meet the Press” about reports that he has requested hundreds of millions of dollars for special projects in his home district.”
I put them in because I represent people who are asking for some of their money back,” said Paul, who likened it to taking a tax credit. “I’m against the tax system, but I take all my tax credits. I want to get their money back for the people.”
The great thing about posting Ron Paul stuff is you don’t have to write anything. Just post whatever crazy shit he happens to say and wait for someone to come to his defense.
He has surpassed Ross Perot in the loony politician category.
If it were not for the shit loads of money dude has raised I would think that Ron Paul would be some comic playing a politician, another Borat or something.
I still continue to read crazy shit like this:
(link) I have seen polls where 49% of those polled said under no circumstance would they vote for Paul. How ignorant they must be to not realize they are also saying that they are against the Constitution, against freedom, and for big government if they are against Paul.
And this:
Ron Paul Shines on Meet the Press
It was the absolutely most aggressive interview I have ever seen by Russert on “Meet the Press” He dredged up every slimy thing he could find to attack Dr. Paul. Yet, Dr. Paul was able to rebut EVERY SINGLE ONE!!!
Clearly dude did not see the Romney interview or Giuliani’s grilling.
He clearly does not want to be president; he is enamored with all the internet love he is getting, and I think he knows he can say this crazy shit and people will still send him money.
Despite raising $19 million he is still in the single digits in the polls.
No sane candidate for president would come out with shit like:
- Admitting that he supports decriminalizing drugs at a national level.
- That he would vote against the Civil Rights Act of 1964 if it were brought up again. (I’m sure this is why the Neo-Nazi crowd loves him)
- Pointed out that he though Ronald Reagan was “a dramatic failure”
- Abraham Lincoln should have bought the slaves and freed them instead of going to war over them.
You Ron Paul fans worry me, well not really…. I have never seen such blind loyalty for a guy that is a complete laughing stock. I swear to God, I don’t get it. This is unlike anything I have ever seen in politics.
If he were a smart, charismatic, good looking, friendly, articulate guy maybe I could see the love, but he is none of that. All he has to do is utter “Constitution” and people get a hard on. So none of you people gave a shit about the Constitution until Ron Paul made it an issue, what the fuck!?
Let’s see… “get rid of the IRS”, and do what exactly?
Sure bring all of our troops home, get rid of a shit load of gubment bureaucracy and do what? Oh he hasn’t got that far yet.
He is like so many liberals who live in fantasy land and thinks only in “theory.”
We have an entire fucken world of eggheads, who are in their little bubbles and when they get the opportunity to make their inner thoughts known, they spout theory bullshit all fucken day.
Lincoln should have brought the slaves? Hey Paul, Lincoln did not want those niggers over here in the first place, so ya think dude was gonna buy a few darkies and do what with them?
I’m as guilty as spreading this Ron Paul dreamland philosophy mess, but as a person who loves to study people, I can’t help but to be fascinated by his fans.
What will you people do when he drops out of the race? God I hope y’all will be ok.
Don’t be mad at Snoop for pointing out the obvious. I don’t play favorites; I’m an equal opportunity attacker.
However it’s clear that far more American’s think like I do, but the legions of Ron Paul fans stand poised to strike.
Did you notice that Russert did not even grill dude for the full hour?
Could it be that either Paul is not interesting enough to fill the hour or was Russert was giving him a break? You fans should be thanking Russert for not exposing him to any more embarrassment.

Can I take “you people” to include the overwhelming majority of military contributors? A vote for Ron Paul isn’t a vote for Ron Paul. It’s a vote against a system where not a majority, but a near-totality of politicians are bought by corporations. Say what you like about him, even call him a hypocrite if you believe that about him. But one thing he is NOT, is BOUGHT. That’s at least 60% of the reason why I support this man.
