White House Spokeswoman Thumps Helen Thomas Over Iraq

This from Amy Proctor

White House Press Secretary Dana Perino and ultra-liberal reporter Helen Thomas exemplified a classic example of the difference in decorum and substance between anti-war nuts and those who thoughtfully support the war effort in Iraq. In this exchange, Perino tolerates Thomas and her idiotic assertions that the U.S. kills innocent civilians and wants to know why we should listen to GEN Petraeus’ advice on the war.

Good to see the woman called out but it’s long past time she be thrown out. Helen Thomas is a perfect symbol to me of Bush’s lack of leadership. Toss that bitch out and when questioned, openly say it’s because she doesn’t know how to conduct herself. Can he really get MORE criticism from the press anyway?

Mevlin - That would cause a shit storm. They should just move her to the back of the class and not giver her the chance to taunt, just like in grade school.

LJ, while I understand your point, Bush is well past the time when such a shit storm would hurt him. First, I don’t think he should have feared this in the beginning. There comes a point where conduct just isn’t acceptable. And it isn’t as if the press has ever given the Bush Admin a break anyway. So why continue to treat them with kid gloves? This goes from Thomas to the NYT leaking classified info. But especially now that he’s in lame duck mode, toss that sour bitch out and declare that certain conduct will not be tolerated. It’s well past time.
