Commentary: Barack Obama’s black wakeup call

Monday, October 22nd, 2007

hillafro.jpg(CNN) — If the advisers around Sen. Barack Obama want to continue to delude themselves into thinking they have lots of time for black voters to get around to figuring out their candidate’s record on issues they care about, then the latest CNN poll surely must be the kind of slap in the face to bring them back to reality. There was a general assumption when Obama announced for the presidency that he was going to garner a lion’s share of the black vote. In a normal presidential race, sure. But with Sen. Hillary Clinton in the race, the reality of the affection — real and perceived — that black folks have for the Clintons is clearly what has her storming out to a strong lead over Obama.According to the CNN poll, Clinton leads Obama among black registered Democrats, 57 percent to 33 percent. Black women are backing Clinton to the tune of 68 percent compared with 25 percent for Obama. Black men favor Obama 46 percent to 42 percent for Clinton. The poll has a margin of error of plus-or-minus 6.5 percent.

On multiple occasions when I’ve interviewed him, Obama has reassured folks that his track record speaks for itself. He says with Clinton being on the national stage for 15 years, she has longevity. But he said he’s confident black voters will come around the more they know about what he has done. That’s nice and sounds good, but what the Obama campaign has clearly refused to recognize is that black voters are emotional, and you must speak to their core in order to reach them.

Feel free to read the rest here, but let me translate what dude really means.
“speak to their core” well that translates into;
“I’m broke can ya please send me uh da system check what the fuck sup now?”
Black rednecks have become exceedingly needy and the only thing they want to hear from any candidate they are considering is “me vote for you, well what’s in it for me?”
Obama is still green has not totally succumbed to the prime directive of Democratic Party politics, handouts for votes.

Hillary’s Tribute To The Old Smelly Hippies

Monday, October 22nd, 2007

rapture.jpgThis made me laugh, from the Hot Rodham Blog, Hillary’s $1M Drug Addict and Anti War Museum Porker.
This is kinda like black folks rewarding thugs by putting them on Negro award shows.
The left sure as hell loves to reward malcontents.

Yes, I know, this is old news and all but it came up in the GOP Debate this evening and Senator McCain presented and excellent rendering of his opinion.

I remember the Woodstock era and they were the smelly hippies of our time then and to build a museum honoring the anti-establishment, anti-war and anti-Americanists of that time, is all too telling to me and Hillary does not deserve to even think about running for President, let alone be the President of the United States.

I sure am glad that the museum honoring cowards and drug addicts won’t be built.

He said when he was asked about this tribute, that he thinks that no one that supports such spending as this can be the President and he also said that he was not in attendance at Woodstock because he was tied up at the time. Here is the exact quote:

“I wasn’t there. I’m sure it was a cultural and pharmaceutical event. I was tied up at the time.”

In case you are not in touch with current events, Senator McCain was a POW in North Vietnam at the time Woodstock was taking place.

That got him the ONLY standing ovation during the debate.

Good on John McCain. I think that with a little more “soap box” antics, John McCain will rise to the occasion.

Berkeley:

While the police had made sure that no damage was done to the office itself, Code Pink had ascertained that writing with chalk on the sidewalk is legal at protests, and the police can’t stop them. So they left a variety of messages to greet the Marine recruiter when he arrived at the office the next morning.

Harry Reid, you just got punk’d!

Monday, October 22nd, 2007

pearly_gates_t051305.gifThis from Doug Powers on World Net Daily

If there was ever a real-life example of the difference between the conservative and liberal philosophies, especially as it concerns our politicians, we saw it last week when Rush Limbaugh auctioned off the letter Harry Reid sent to the chairman of Clear Channel, the company airing Limbaugh’s program.Below is part of what Reid said on the Senate floor after it was clear that his backdoor attempt to control somebody’s freedom of speech, and another’s freedom to do business, backfired like a Model-T puttering up Lombard Street:

When I spoke to Mark May, he and I thought this probably wouldn’t make much money – a letter, written by Democrat senators, complaining about something. This morning, the bid is more than two million for this. We’ve watched it during the week. It keeps going up, and up, and up. There’s only a little bit of time left on it, but it certainly is going to be more than two million. Never did we think that this letter would bring money of this nature. And for the cause, Madam President, it’s extremely good.
Now, everybody knows that Rush Limbaugh and I don’t agree on everything in life. Maybe that’s kind of an understatement.

But, without qualification, Mark May, the owner of the network that has Rush Limbaugh, their auction is going to be something that raises money for a worthwhile cause. I don’t know what we could do more important than helping to ensure that children of our fallen soldiers and police officers who have fallen in the line of duty have the opportunity for their children to have a good education.”

No doubt about it; Harry Reid is one of the most generous people in the country when it comes to donating somebody else’s philanthropy.

This is so typical of the kind of liberal psychosis with which Reid is stricken. A woman gives more than $2 million of her money to a charity. Limbaugh gives $2 million of his money to the charity. And a liberal politician who gave nothing jumps in to take credit. Just another day in Washington, D.C. What more could we possibly expect from a group of people who commission the construction of roads and buildings, with our money, and then have the audacity to name said roads and buildings after themselves?

Local Tax Talk, your town is next!

Monday, October 22nd, 2007

tax.jpgWell usually my post here are treasures found throughout the blogsphere are more of national interest. However here is a local story from my hometown paper the Lawrence Journal-World.
You know through the web you read various sites with people complaining that there is no difference between the D’s and the R’s or the Libs vs Conservatives well this story is the perfect illustration of just how wrong that rationale is.
As we march towards the very real notion of a Hillary Clinton kingdom this is the type of thinking we can all look forward to.
Don’t blink or this type of tax talk idiocy will be coming to your town real soon.

Compound interest. You know, the pennies that accrue day after day, week after week on your savings account. The concept is one of the few things in life that will allow a man to make money while he walks the beach in Bermuda shorts and black socks.

Einstein was such a fan of the notion that he supposedly said “there’s no force more powerful in the universe than compound interest.”

A few leaders in Lawrence City Hall are beginning to believe him. At least, they’re beginning to think it’s powerful enough to tax.

City Hall staff members recently prepared a report detailing how the city could begin requiring residents to pay a tax on the interest they earn on savings accounts, on the dividends they receive from stocks, and from a few other “intangible assets.”

A state law has been on the books since the early 1980s that allows cities, counties and townships to collect what is called an intangibles tax. More than 100 Kansas communities collect the tax. Lawrence is not one of them, but City Commissioner Boog Highberger said that might need to change.

“I think it could make our tax system fairer,” Highberger said.

Highberger said he thinks an intangibles tax wouldn’t hit low income residents as hard as an increase in the local sales tax rate. The thinking is higher income residents are more likely to have hefty savings accounts or dividend income from stocks or bonds.

“Crooks & Liars” Discovers Best Way to Defend Rep. Pete Stark

Monday, October 22nd, 2007

From the blog Gateway Pundit, via Sister Toldjah

liarliar1c.JPG

Lie.

Nutrooters Crooks and Liars discovers that if you can’t possibly win an argument over the latest disgusting anti-military, anti-Bush remarks by a Democratic politician…
Then just lie about it.
This is how Crooks and Liars reported the remarks by Rep. Pete Stark said on the House Floor on Thursday:

“I’m just amazed that the Republicans are worried that we can’t pay for insuring an additional 10 million children. They sure don’t care about finding $200 billion to fight the illegal War in Iraq.”

“President Bush’s statements about children’s health shouldn’t be taken any more seriously than his lies about the War in Iraq. The truth is that that Bush just likes to blow things up – in Iraq, in the United States, and in Congress.”

And… Here is what Rep. Pete Stark actually said on the House Floor on Thursday that was so outrageous and offensive:

“They sure don’t care about finding $200 billion to fight the illegal war in Iraq. Where are you going to get that money? Are you going to tell us lies like you’re telling us today? Is that how you’re going to fund the war? You don’t have money to fund the war or children but you’re going to spend it to blow up innocent people if we can get enough kids to grow old enough for you to send to Iraq to get their heads blown off for the President’s amusement.”

There is hope for Louisiana after all…

Monday, October 22nd, 2007

louisiana2.JPG

From Sister Toldjah: Rep. Bobby Jindal wins Louisiana governor’s race

It was a good day yesterday for Republicans, and an especially good day for Louisiana as Rep. Bobby Jindal was elected Saturday as governor:

BATON ROUGE, La. - U.S. Rep. Bobby Jindal easily defeated 11 opponents and became the state’s first nonwhite governor since Reconstruction, decades after his parents moved to the state from India to pursue the American dream.Jindal, a 36-year-old Republican, will be the nation’s youngest governor. He had 53 percent with 625,036 votes with about 92 percent of the vote tallied. It was more than enough to win Saturday’s election outright and avoid a Nov. 17 runoff.

“My mom and dad came to this country in pursuit of the American dream. And guess what happened. They found the American dream to be alive and well right here in Louisiana,” he said to cheers and applause at his victory party.

His nearest competitors: Democrat Walter Boasso with 208,690 votes or 18 percent; Independent John Georges had 167,477 votes or 14 percent; Democrat Foster Campbell had 151,101 or 13 percent. Eight candidates divided the rest.

Political analysts said Jindal built up support as a sort of “buyer’s remorse” from people who voted for Blanco last time and had second thoughts about that decision. Blanco was widely criticized for the state’s response to Hurricane Katrina and she announced months ago that she would not seek re-election.

“I think the Jindal camp, almost explicitly, (wanted) to cast it this way: If you were able to revote, who would you vote for?” said Pearson Cross, a University of Louisiana at Lafayette political scientist.

Jindal has held a strong lead in the polls since the field of candidates became settled nearly two months ago.

But the two multimillionaires in the race — Boasso, a state senator from St. Bernard Parish, and Georges, a New Orleans-area businessman — poured millions of their own dollars into their campaigns to try to prevent Jindal’s victory.

And remember, that’s not all desperate Democrats did in La. to try and overcome Jindal’s popularity.

Friday, October 19th, 2007

nigga2.jpgRepublican presidential candidate John McCain said Wednesday the Senate should apologize for slavery and segregation, calling them “dark chapters in our history.”McCain said he would support a planned resolution by fellow Republican Sen. Sam Brownback, who is also seeking the presidency, to apologize for racist laws, some of which ended more than a century ago.“They were federal policies,” Brownback told the Boston Globe on Monday. “They were wrong. The only way for us to move forward . . . is at the end of the day acknowledging those, taking ownership for it, and asking for forgiveness.”McCain agreed with Brownback’s approach.

2 ‘Jena 6′ Thugs Present BET’s Hip-Hop Award

Friday, October 19th, 2007

jena6a.jpgOn NPR via the Blog Sweetness & Light

No, these two don’t have the latest hit on the Billboard charts. They are Carwin Jones and Bryant Purvis of the so-called “Jena 6.” The two walked the red carpet of the 2007 BET Hip-Hop Awards, held this weekend in Atlanta.

According to those in attendance, they spoke briefly about the case before presenting the Hip-Hop Video of the Year Award.

Though their cohort Mychal Bell is back behind bars, that didn’t stop the two from hamming it up for the cameras (even holding up the number six with their fingers).

What does it say about the culture’s celebrity obsession that these two would be feted as stars? Do you think their participation in the award show undermines the gravity of the situation in Jena, La.?

Thanks to Al Sharpton, these thugs are being rewarded for being 6 asses.
Who was the retard in charge of this show that thought putting these thugs on stage was a good idea? Oh shit, never mind, it’s the Hip Hop awards where thug life is celebrated.
The Negro community is going to hell in a hand basket and silly Negros are weaving the basket. And Negros wonder why people like Imus make fun of the silly shit black folks engage in. Negros freely provides the comic material.

Won’t you take me to Chinatown?

Friday, October 19th, 2007

moneymachine-md.jpgFrom Michelle Malkin

The Los Angeles Times digs into Hillary’s finances and uncovers more mysterious Chinatown donors with dilapidated addresses in NYC and jobs unlikely to put them in the position of maxing out campaign contributions. They include dishwashers, waiters, contributors who deny making contributions, and another who “admitted to lacking the legal-resident status required for giving campaign money.” And more:

Dishwashers, waiters and others whose jobs and dilapidated home addresses seem to make them unpromising targets for political fundraisers are pouring $1,000 and $2,000 contributions into Clinton’s campaign treasury. In April, a single fundraiser in an area long known for its gritty urban poverty yielded a whopping $380,000. When Sen. John F. Kerry (D-Mass.) ran for president in 2004, he received $24,000 from Chinatown……Of 74 residents of New York’s Chinatown, Flushing, the Bronx or Brooklyn that The Times called or visited, only 24 could be reached for comment.

Will Hillary accuse the Times reporters of “stalking” now?

negrofrowns.jpgRap superstar Nas is taking about his new album, Nigger, with MTV, which earlier in the week earned him some criticism in a Fox News story from Jesse Jackson and the NAACP.

“I’m a street disciple,” (lol!!!) Nas responded, quoting one of his earlier album titles. “I’m talking to the streets. Stay out of our business. You ain’t got no business worrying about what the word ‘nigger’ is or acting like you know what my album is about without talking to me. Whether you in the NAACP or you Jesse Jackson. I respect all of them … I just want them to know: Never fall victim to Fox. Never fall victim to the sh– they do. What they do is try to hurry up and get you on the phone and try to get you to talk about something you might not know about yet.”"If Cornell West was making an album called Nigger, they would know he’s got something intellectual to say,” Nas stated. “To think I’m gonna say something that’s not intellectual is calling me a nigger, and to be called a nigger by Jesse Jackson and the NAACP is counterproductive, counter-revolutionary.”

Moonbat News of the Day!

Thursday, October 18th, 2007

moonbat.jpgMan this is some crazy shit from Moonbattery

Even if global warming isn’t all that frightening, the proposed solutions to it range from inconvenient to terrifying. Andrew Bolt lists a few:

  • *Feed people to trees by foregoing cremation and burying corpses at the base of trees.
  • *Use “alternatives” to air-conditioning.
  • * Travel by “solar power blimps” instead of jets.

*Travel less.

*Shower shorter.

*Use inferior low-energy light bulbs.

*Eat kangaroos instead of cattle.

*Ban high-energy LCD TVs.

*Hang wet clothes all over the yard instead of using the dryer.

*Now for some scary ones:

Alarmist of the Year Tim Flannery has called for our population to be cut by up to a third, and ABC radio even ran a lecture by a green zealot suggesting we “put something in the water, a virus that would be specific to the human reproductive system and would make a substantial proportion of the population infertile.”

We’ll also need to jettison democracy:

Of course, you’ll console yourself with the thought that nobody could ever force such schemes on you. Not in a democracy. But the faithful have thought of that problem, as Professor David Shearman, an assessor with the United Nations’ Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, explained this week on ABC radio.

“Do you believe that climate change can be arrested under our own sacrosanct system of liberal democracy?”, he sneered. We voters would never agree to the “solution” to global warming, and “this condemns democracy”.

While there also checkout: Reading, Writing, and Rot

At the dinner table, he announces, “Today at school I learned that oral sex is safer than anal sex.” This is a kid who hasn’t even been on a date yet, or had a first kiss, as far as I know.

Clinton Pollster Predicts Defection Of GOP Women

laugh.gif(link)Mark Penn, the pollster and senior strategist of Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign, predicted Thursday that nearly a quarter of Republican women would defect from the GOP if the New York senator is the Democratic presidential nominee in 2008.At a breakfast with political reporters, Penn said his internal polling shows Clinton would win over some 24 percent of Republican women in the 2008 general election because of the “emotional” appeal of electing the country’s laughing3.jpgfirst woman president.

Penn said the trend is as evident in the South, a region Democratic presidential candidates have had trouble winning in recent elections, as in all other regions of the country.

Penn said the trend indicates that Clinton would be a stronger Democratic presidential candidate in the South than either Al Gore was in 2000 or John Kerry was in 2004.

Any woman who claims to be Republican, who would switch and vote for this crazy bitch was NEVER a Republican to begin with.

Hung Up On Noose News

Thursday, October 18th, 2007

noose2.JPGBy Clarence Page - On Real Clear Politics

Nooses are in the news lately. I’m relieved that no one has been found hanging from any of them. All that any lamebrain has to do in order to make news, it seems, is to tie a rope into a noose and hang the knotty symbol of segregation-era lynchings in a conspicuous place.

A news database search of “noose” quickly turned up one found recently at a Long Island police station locker room, another in a tree on the University of Maryland campus and another in a black Coast Guard cadet’s bag aboard a cutter. A noose found on the office door of a black professor at Columbia University in New York led to a student-led antiracism rally, which national news cameras dutifully covered.

Reported noose sightings have risen nationally in the months since nooses dangling from a schoolyard tree raised racial tensions in Jena, La. Or maybe it is just the reports of noose sightings that has risen. Since thousands of demonstrators, including the Revs. Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton, descended on Jena for a highly publicized march in September, news media seem to be running to noose stories like children to an overturned candy truck.

Mixed-race baby kidnap drama

In exchange, the couple will avoid jail time and the assault charge will be dropped once they complete counselling.

The Kampfs were accused of tying up their daughter Katelyn (20), forcing her into their car and heading toward New York for an abortion.

They were arrested last September at a shopping centre in Salem, New Hampshire, after Katelyn fled and called the police on a cellphone.

“Support Wanes in House for Genocide Vote”

Wednesday, October 17th, 2007

clowns1.jpgFrom Fausta’s Blog

says the NYT

“Turkey obviously feels they are getting poked in the eye over something that happened a century ago, and maybe this isn’t a good time to be doing that,” said Representative Allen Boyd, a Florida Democrat who dropped his sponsorship of the resolution Monday night.

Mind you, Congress has waited decades for this gesture over the Armenian Genocide; the Ottoman Empire committed genocide nearly a century ago, for decades the Turkish government has spent millions of dollars trying to obscure that fact, and Nancy Pelosi and the Dems in Congress wait until now to bring up a resolution.

Where was Nancy when Bill Clinton also worked to block an Armenian genocide resolution from passing the House? (h/t Sister Toldjah) She’s been in Congress since 1987. Why wait 20 years?

As violence falls in Iraq, cemetery workers feel the pinch

Wednesday, October 17th, 2007

deathfamilyguy1.jpg(Story Link) NAJAF, Iraq — At what’s believed to be the world’s largest cemetery, where Shiite Muslims aspire to be buried and millions already have been, business isn’t good.A drop in violence around Iraq has cut burials in the huge Wadi al Salam cemetery here by at least one-third in the past six months, and that’s cut the pay of thousands of workers who make their living digging graves, washing corpses or selling burial shrouds.

Also from Hot Air: Bad news from Iraq: Funeral industry suffers as death toll drops

You know people, I’m not smart enough to try and figure out the logic behind this story.
I’m er uh…..speechless. This is one of the most retarded stories I have ever read, and I read a lot of crazy liberal shit!

“Certainly, when the number of dead increases I feel happy, like all workers in the graveyard,” said Basim Hameed , 30, a body washer. “This happiness comes from the increase in the amount of money we have.”

Death is something everyone must face, he noted. “My job demands death, and this is our fate, all of us.”
