Friday, July 27th, 2007Al Sharpton: Black Voters Should Punish GOP
Friday, July 27th, 2007(From Newsmax) Civil rights leader Al Sharpton said Thursday black voters should punish Republicans who fail to show for presidential candidates’ forums hosted by the National Urban League and the NAACP.”We can only assume you weren’t courting us,” Sharpton said. “Republicans have to lay out their policies and court the African-American vote. We need to have our interests debated in the market place.”
Sharpton noted there won’t be another NAACP or Urban League conference before the presidential primaries.
“When I was in high school, I may not have gone to the prom with the girl I wanted, but with the girl I could get,” he said, suggesting Republicans leave black voters little choice but to vote for a Democrat.
Sharpton was among a panel of black leaders, political strategists from both major parties and journalists who discussed the black vote in the 2008 presidential election at the Urban League’s national conference here.
Five presidential candidates - four Democrats and one Republican - are scheduled to address the conference Friday. Among them are top-tier Democrats Sens. Hillary Rodham Clinton and Barack Obama, and John Edwards. The lone Republican is Rep. Duncan Hunter of California.
Earlier this month, all eight Democratic candidates participated in a forum at the NAACP meeting in Detroit. The only Republican was Rep. Tom Tancredo of Colorado, a long-shot candidate.
Shannon Reeves, director of state and local development for the Republican National Committee, said his role in the RNC was to get them to understand the black community.
“There are some in our party who don’t want to associate with our community,” he said to groans from the crowd. He added that “black folks had to kick the door open. The Democratic Party didn’t open it wide and say come on in.”
Urban League president Marc Morial said black voters deserve more than “drive-by politics and last-minute appeals to churches.” But, he admitted, “sometimes we aren’t good about getting out to vote.” He said no candidate has talked about black economic development, which is the civil rights organization’s major thrust.
(Snooprant:) I don’t know if white folks truly understand the dilemma black individuals like me are in when it comes to being on the polar opposite sides of the societal and political fence with those with whom you share similar pigmentation.
Now those of you white people who insist on baking yourselves in the sun or the “Easy Bake human oven” to achieve the ultimate Negro tan, you don’t count.
We all know that 90 percent of Negros vote Democrat. No P.R. firm could ever turn that around for Republicans and frankly I am resigned that I won’t see that change in my lifetime.
Democrats invest heavily in the Negro vote, because they absolutely know they can’t win without it.
So when do black folks like me say to themselves “ ya know fuck em, those stupid Negros deserve what they get for following these idiot ass niggas like Sharpton.”
As a black individual it is difficult to stray from that identity that is defined by your skin color.
Because of where I live 24/7 I’m inundated by white people. Here in the Midwest you can go a week and not see any black folks.
Some may argue well people are people, but when you are white, everyone you see, everywhere you go, every social situation, ever work situation YOU see people and not white people.
We see both, not in all cases, hell I’m not obsessive about it, but you do think about it.
What makes it more prevalent is when you enter social situations white people unconsciously let you know how they feel about someone of another color invading their territory.
I know it sounds nuts folks but most of us black folks process this shit. SO when we go to a community where there are actually black people participating in world around you, there is some comfort that comes with that.
We can’t help that.
While in Maryland a few months ago, Mrs. Snoop and I went to visit a good friend of mind. It was cool to see upscale black folks, looking nice, not ghettoized, driving nice cars not acting a fool. There, yes it felt comfortable to me. Now Mrs. Snoop on the other hand, well, the roles were reversed, proving we all (or most of us) have that “racial” chip on our shoulders.
NOW, with ole Snoop that is easily erased when I see ghetto ass Negros with busted weaves, saggy paints, gold grills and 1980’s perms.
While in LA, Mrs. Snoop and I went to this neighborhood grocery story around the corner from our hotel to get a salad.
I was at the food bar when this black dude came around the corner and said “whoa a brotha in the hood, right on!” I turned around and said “you too” basically as if to say hell I’m as shocked to see you and you are me.
On occasion in the white world if you see another black person you give them the extra kinship nod for extra recognition that whew, if a riot breaks out I got one brotha on my side. LOL!
So it is sometimes painful to see the damage that corrupt Niggas like Sharpton, Jackson and other liberal Democrat scam artists inflict on the black community and it is even more painful to see that it is all self inflicted because Negros can’t get of the Democrat plantation, most are conditioned to think in very narrow terms. We are not still in the 1960’s.
“Republicans are racist,” you mean less so that Democrats!? It’s just silly.
It’s painful because even as Conservative and as unapologetic I am about my politics you can’t just say “fuck em”, because like it or not you are identified with the very people you criticize.
Bottom line, no matter how Republican I am, no matter my knowledge of Reagan politics and Conservatism, whether I listen to Rush or agree with Newt to some white folks I’m still just a nigger. They don’t give a fuck about your politics, social status, or place of employment.
So because of that you cling to that racial or I mean (hey there’s another Negro) recognition thing.
So black folks like myself are stuck in “neither-world” we are on occasion confused about balancing racial identity vs. political and social reality.
Sphere: Related ContentThe B.I.T.C.H Test, not what you think…
Friday, July 27th, 2007Thank goodness for TV Land, because the quality of television today sucks so much I can go back and watch the old corny TV shows and still laugh at shows I have seen many times.
I was watching an old Good Times episode, the one about Michael having to take an intelligence test at school where he did not do very well.
His school counselor suggested “trade school,” to the dismay of his parents.
Anybody who watched the show knew that Michael was going to be on the Supreme Court one day.
The clip talked about the B.I.T.C.H test, or better known in the early 1970’s as The Black Intelligence Test of Cultural Homogeneity
The famous B.I.T.C.H. test, written in the 1970s, provided an opportunity to test your “cultural background”
Now because I’m always processing politics, culture, race and society stuff I was thinking damm we are STILL dealing with these social and racial dogmas today.
Now this post is not about whether white people know the answers on this ridiculous test, I’m simply thinking to myself thank God I had the parents I did.
I watched shows like this and other Norman Lear shows that sometimes dealt with these racial issues in a propagandist manner and I often wonder why did I not buy into this mess. My parents were clear, yup some white folks will trip you up on occasion but you better get your ass back up.
I swear, I remember thinking back then, even as a little kid, which test was more important?
Sure the ghettos as depicted in Good Times provided barriers to black folks and they still do, but the Evans family, as poor as they were, still promoted education.
So how did little Michael fall through the cracks? Remember dude was going to the Supreme Court!
So the episode was basically saying to black folks and kids back then, no matter how smart you are the white man will still screw you over.
Democrats have been running with that theme ever since and doing quite well.

A Day in the Life of Oscar the Cat
Thursday, July 26th, 2007Sphere: Related ContentOscar the Cat awakens from his nap, opening a single eye to survey his kingdom. From atop the desk in the doctor’s charting area, the cat peers down the two wings of the nursing home’s advanced dementia unit. All quiet on the western and eastern fronts. Slowly, he rises and extravagantly stretches his 2-year-old frame, first backward and then forward. He sits up and considers his next move.In the distance, a resident approaches. It is Mrs. P., who has been living on the dementia unit’s third floor for 3 years now. She has long forgotten her family, even though they visit her almost daily. Moderately disheveled after eating her lunch, half of which she now wears on her shirt, Mrs. P. is taking one of her many aimless strolls to nowhere. She glides toward Oscar, pushing her walker and muttering to herself with complete disregard for her surroundings. Perturbed, Oscar watches her carefully and, as she walks by, lets out a gentle hiss, a rattlesnake-like warning that says “leave me alone.” She passes him without a glance and continues down the hallway. Oscar is relieved. It is not yet Mrs. P.’s time, and he wants nothing to do with her.
Oscar jumps down off the desk, relieved to be once more alone and in control of his domain. He takes a few moments to drink from his water bowl and grab a quick bite. Satisfied, he enjoys another stretch and sets out on his rounds. Oscar decides to head down the west wing first, along the way sidestepping Mr. S., who is slumped over on a couch in the hallway. With lips slightly pursed, he snores peacefully — perhaps blissfully unaware of where he is now living. Oscar continues down the hallway until he reaches its end and Room 310. The door is closed, so Oscar sits and waits. He has important business here.

Sheriff urged to close immigrant hotline
Thursday, July 26th, 2007Sphere: Related ContentPHOENIX - Latino leaders and faith-based organizations want Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio
to disconnect the hotline he created for people to report information about undocumented immigrants, saying it raises the chance of racial profiling. But Arpaio said Wednesday that he won’t disconnect the hotline and stressed that deputies would investigate people only if authorities had probable cause. The hotline began last Friday and has received about 300 messages, which include tips about family and friends, employment, day laborers, drop houses and crank calls.
Arpaio said officials are analyzing the tips and officials have not acted on any of the calls.
“There’s nothing unconstitutional about putting up a hotline,” Arpaio said, pointing out that U.S. Customs and Border Protection, and Immigration and Customs Enforcement have similar hotlines.
The hotline is part of an expanded immigration enforcement plan Arpaio unveiled last week that also includes sheriff’s deputies cross-trained to enforce immigration law.
Some Latino advocacy groups will launch a hotline of their own to take tips from people who believe they’ve been unfairly reported to Arpaio’s hotline, said activist Mary Rose Wilcox, a Maricopa County supervisor.
Meanwhile, some faith-based organizations are circulating a letter among church leaders and members that decries Arpaio’s hotline.
The hotline number is 602-876-4154.
Fred Thompson’s wife is fucking up his campaign…OK, NON campaign!
Thursday, July 26th, 2007
Growing pains within Fred Thompson’s “non-campaign” for president in 2008 revealed themselves in a big way Tuesday.
For months, the former Tennessee senator has been rising in the polls by merely “testing the waters” and refusing to undertake the traditional trappings of a presidential campaign. But there has been much speculation about the role of Thompson’s wife, Jeri Kehn Thompson, and today, a senior adviser to Fred Thompson today stepped out of a day-to-day role in the campaign because of friction with her. When asked to confirm reports that Tom Collamore would reduce his role to senior adviser, two senior Thompson insiders adamantly denied it to FOX News today, insisting that the emergence of Randy Enright as campaign manager and the reduction of Tom Collamore’s role had always been part of the plan.

Let me be real clear, I’m not a political insider like most right wing bloggers, but when it comes to Fred Thompson I have a really good gateway.
So believe me when I tell you ( and as the story points out) that I am worried and was told to be worried about the Thompson (non) campaign.
His wife is fucking it up, BIG TIME.
So until today I had confidence in the campaign, but now I don’t. Now can things turn around, of course, but, if you are a Thompson fan unless you read that his wife has taken her crazy ass out of his campaign, he is screwed.
I’m going to try and chill and hope this shit gets fixed, but for now I’m like FUCK!!

Sphere: Related ContentMorally Paralyzed
Thursday, July 26th, 2007
By Thomas Sowell - Townhall.com
“Moral paralysis” is a term that has been used to describe the inaction of France, England and other European democracies in the 1930s, as they watched Hitler build up the military forces that he later used to attack them.It is a term that may be painfully relevant to our own times.Sphere: Related ContentBack in the 1930s, the governments of the democratic countries knew what Hitler was doing — and they knew that they had enough military superiority at that point to stop his military buildup in its tracks. But they did nothing to stop him.
Instead, they turned to what is still the magic mantra today — “negotiations.”
No leader of a democratic nation was ever more popular than British Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain — wildly cheered in the House of Commons by opposition parties as well as his own — when he returned from negotiations in Munich in 1938, waving an agreement and declaring that it meant “peace in our time.”
We know now how short that time was. Less than a year later, World War II began in Europe and spread across the planet, killing tens of millions of people and reducing many cities to rubble in Europe and Asia.
Looking back after that war, Winston Churchill said, “There was never a war in all history easier to prevent by timely action.” The earlier it was done, the less it would have cost.
At one point, Hitler could have been stopped in his tracks “without the firing of a single shot,” Churchill said.
That point came in 1936 — three years before World War II began — when Hitler sent troops into the Rhineland, in violation of two international treaties.
At that point, France alone was so much more powerful than Germany that the German generals had secret orders to retreat immediately at the first sign of French intervention.
As Hitler himself confided, the Germans would have had to retreat “with our tail between our legs,” because they did not yet have enough military force to put up even a token resistance.
Why did the French not act and spare themselves and the world the years of horror that Hitler’s aggressions would bring? The French had the means but not the will.
“Moral paralysis” came from many things. The death of a million French soldiers in the First World War and disillusionment with the peace that followed cast a pall over a whole generation.
Pacifism became vogue among the intelligentsia and spread into educational institutions. As early as 1932, Winston Churchill said: “France, though armed to the teeth, is pacifist to the core.”
It was morally paralyzed.
History may be interesting but it is the present and the future that pose the crucial question: Is America today the France of yesterday?
We know that Iran is moving swiftly toward nuclear weapons while the United Nations is moving slowly — or not at all — toward doing anything to stop them.
It is a sign of our irresponsible Utopianism that anyone would even expect the UN to do anything that would make any real difference.
Not only the history of the UN, but the history of the League of Nations before it, demonstrates again and again that going to such places is a way for weak-kneed leaders of democracies to look like they are doing something when in fact they are doing nothing.
The Iranian leaders are not going to stop unless they get stopped. And, like Hitler, they don’t think we have the guts to stop them.
Incidentally, Hitler made some of the best anti-war statements of the 1930s. He knew that this was what the Western democracies wanted to hear — and that it would keep them morally paralyzed while he continued building up his military machine to attack them.
Iranian leaders today make only the most token and transparent claims that they are building “peaceful” nuclear facilities — in one of the biggest oil-producing countries in the world, which has no need for nuclear power to generate electricity.
Nuclear weapons in the hands of Iran and its international terrorist allies will be a worst threat than Hitler ever was. But, before that happens, the big question is: Are we France? Are we morally paralyzed, perhaps fatally?
Obama Hails a Unicorn
Thursday, July 26th, 2007From Ann Coulter at Human Events Via Conservative Grapevine
Fox News ought to buy a copy of Monday’s Democrat debate on CNN to play over and over during the general election campaign. For now, the Democratic candidates need to appeal only to their nut-base. So on Monday night, the candidates casually spouted liberal conspiracy theories that would frighten normal Americans, but are guaranteed to warm the hearts of losers blogging from their mother’s basements.
B. Hussein Obama got the party started by claiming he couldn’t get a cab in New York because he’s black. This line was a big hit with white liberals in the audience who have never been to New York.
Even writers for The New York Times don’t drag this canard out anymore. Last year, a black writer in the Times pointed out how things had changed in New York in the 10 years since he had been out of the country. Not only did he have no trouble getting a cab, but he cited statistics from taxi sting operations that showed a 96 percent compliance rate among cabbies in picking up blacks. (Remarkable, considering that New York cabbies’ compliance rate on daily bathing is less than half that.)
(quick Snoopnote) When I was in New York 10 years ago, my first time, I went to a conference at the Javits Center. I was staying at one of the nicer hotels at 57th and 7th ave.
I was fresh off Achilles tendon surgery and was in a walking cast up past the knee.
Now before I went to the conference my old boss, black woman, told me the only way I was going to catch a cab was if I was in a coat and tie.
Let me tell you that did not work. If I were near any white people I would get bypassed every time.
Only black cab drivers picked me up. One of the mornings I actually had to walk to the conference that was how bad it was. Anyone from NYC or is familiar knows how long a hike that was.
I finally went to hotel management and they hailed a cab for me each morning.
However on subsequent trips to NYC, that is almost non existent.
One more thing my brother was a cab driver in LA and was mugged a few times, BY NEGROS, so my thinking was who do you blame, the “racist” cab drivers or the idiot ass criminal fuck Negros who caused the negative images in the first place.
Now back to Ann
Sphere: Related ContentAs the Times writer noted, even 10 years ago, “most of the drivers who refused to pick me up or take me to my destination during that time were of African descent.” When he asked one cabbie — 10 years ago — why he avoided picking up black customers, the driver displayed a scar across his neck, a souvenir from a black customer who had robbed him. “I have to choose which is worse,” the driver said, “a fine or death.”Thanks to Rudy Giuliani, cab drivers in New York no longer have to make that choice. Under his mayoralty, New York City became a lot safer for cab drivers — and everyone else. The murder rate went from about 2,000 murders a year under Mayor David Dinkins to about 700 by the end of Giuliani’s term. The last time a cab driver was killed in New York was in 1997.
In addition to making it safer for (mostly African-American and Muslim) cabbies to pick up African-Americans, Giuliani made it costly for them not to. He started “Operation Refusal” in 1999, sending out teams of black undercover cops and taxi commissioners to hail cabs and give fines to those who refused to pick up blacks.
Even back in 1999, in the first 12 hours of “Operation Refusal,” out of more than 800 cabs hailed, only five cab drivers refused to pick up a customer — one of whom was a white woman with children. And by the way, I’ve had dozens of cabs refuse to stop for me on Fifth Avenue. Sometimes they forget to turn on the “off duty” light, or they’re daydreaming or maybe they’ve read my columns on Muslims.
Next time, B. Hussein Obama ought to tell us the one about Kool cigarettes being owned by the KKK and causing impotence in black men. There may not be overwhelming evidence disproving that one as there is for the yarn about blacks not being able to get a cab in New York.
Overall, Hillary appeared to be the only Democrat even dimly aware that there will eventually be a general election. But she too played to her audience with wacky conspiracy theories. Oops, I mean she “discussed the Democratic platform in detail.” No need for me to get judgmental.
Hillary raised the Bush-stole-the-2000-election fairy tale, saying: “I think it is a problem that Bush was elected in 2000. I actually thought somebody else was elected in that election, but …” (Applause.)
On Nov. 12, 2001, The New York Times ran a front page article that began: “A comprehensive review of the uncounted Florida ballots from last year’s presidential election reveals that George W. Bush would have won even if the United States Supreme Court had allowed the statewide manual recount of the votes that the Florida Supreme Court had ordered to go forward.”
Another Times article that day by Richard L. Berke said that the “comprehensive review of the uncounted Florida ballots solidifies George W. Bush’s legal claim on the White House because it concludes that he would have won under the ground rules prescribed by the Democrats.”
On Nov. 18, 2001, notorious pro-abortion zealot Linda Greenhouse wrote in the Times that the media consortium’s count of all the disputed Florida ballots — in which the Times participated — concluded “that George W. Bush would have won the 2000 presidential election even had the court not cut the final recount short.”
If three prominent articles in the Treason Times isn’t enough to convince Hillary that Bush won the 2000 election, forget the White House: ABC ought to hire her to replace Rosie O’Donnell on “The View.” I know that’s a big seat to fill, but maybe she can finally convince Elizabeth Hasselbeck that 9/11 was an inside job.

It’s the hypocrisy, stupid
Thursday, July 26th, 2007

Sphere: Related ContentThere’s nothing quite so satisfying as discovering that someone you don’t like politically has been holding themselves to a considerably lower standard than they demand from others.About 20 years ago, during the debate over a Martin Luther King Jr. holiday, the NFL denied one state the opportunity to host the Super Bowl (I think it was Arizona or New Mexico) because the state had not passed the holiday. Someone did a little digging, and discovered that the NFL itself did not recognize the holiday, and did not give its employees the day off.Personally, I have little truck with unions. They once were valuable institutions, and brought about many great changes — ones that benefited everyone.
But that was a long, long time ago. These days, most unions are essentially extensions of the Democratic Party, organized crime (sometimes the two are interchangeable), and tend to have little concern for their rank and file members. For example, union money has been spent heavily to back “immigrants’ rights” and other pro-illegal-alien measures, despite that it is the union’s members that tend to suffer most from the economic damage they wreak.
So it was with no little glee that I read Kevin’s piece about a union outsourcing its’ picketing duties. (FUNNY!)
It’s nothing new. A while ago, it was revealed that one union had hired temps to hired people to picket Wal-Mart — with the picketers working for far less than what Wal-Mart was offering, and what the union thought was unacceptable. And the conditions for the picketers were downright heinous.

I love my father-in-law’s blog. I’d love it even more if some of the hundreds of visitors a day actually left comments. Recently, he finally got himself a nemesis, although, admittedly, a semi-literate and ignorant one. When I’m procrastinating, I tend to do some of my best writing on other peoples’ blogs. Here are some excerpts from my troll-baiting adventures the past few days:
Sphere: Related ContentRAVEN:You’re an ignorant piece of shit. Who are you calling a criminal? Just because the white man who created the constitution, some borrowed from the ndigenous people of this (separation of religion) which did not include women much less anyone of “color”. This was and still is occupied land (Aztlan) by way of manifest destiny MF, and although I’m not nationalistic (I feel that is a huge problem in perpetrating hate) but I’ll be damned if I hear any ignorant dumbass repeat such stupid rhetoric as to calling these indigenous people “criminals”. The problem is capitalist greed. Go read a book before making yourself sound like an uneducated, wannabe street thug. The working people of every color, need to stand up and not be divided and fight the true fight against coporate greed & the very few who are calling the shots. Consider yourself skooled dumbshit*raven
BTW. Hey I have another caution sign for you but it’s with pilgrims. Man, woman, little girl all in bonnets and a turkey following suit.
The indigeneous people have been fighting illegal “aliens” since 1492 & 1857 and will continue to fight, they will not be made illegal on their own land. They will continue to fight the racist society of “america” as a working people. Do not let white corporate greed, media america instill fear in you. . . . . YOU HATE WHAT YOU FEAR.
Me: Damn straight we hate what we fear, is that supposed to be profound, or something?
I fear the disintegration of my country and culture under the the onslaught of foreign cultures that enter my country illegally and with no intent to become a part of my culuture, but instead subvert it until it is unrecognizeable from that which they fled.
Yeah, that’s what the white man did to the Native Americans, all right, and I for one do not want my grandchildren dying of diabetes on a reservation. Just because it’s happened before doesn’t mean it should happen again.
And I HATE that the government of my country seems to be hell-bent on facilitating this disintegration*no, fuck that, *encouraging* it*and I’m not just talking about immigration reform.
I worked the INS call center for some time, and I gotta tell you*one of my favorite “classes” of people to deal with is that of earnest *legal* immigrants. Overwhelmingly, they are driven, hard-assedly moral, eager to learn, tenacious, and extremely motivated to achieve their goals through their own efforts*everything I love about the American ideal, in fact.
Oh, and don’t give me that shit about illegal Mexican immigrants in formerly Mexican or Mestizo territories being somehow less illegal. That’s like my husband illegally entering Germany and then demanding that he really *is* a citizen, see, because his great-great-great-grandfather used to live there. To my knowledge, the only folks who have managed to pull off a ploy that ballsy are my fellow Jews, and they did so by buying up all the land, telling the people who didn’t really want to run it anymore anyway that they’d take it from there, thanks, and then blasting the ever-loving mother-fucking SHIT out of anyone who tried to take it away from them again, not sneaking back in and then sitting around and bitching because they’re not getting free health care.
You’re pretty damned inchoherent, but did you just say that the concept of separation of state and religion was a concept the Founding Fathers picked up from Native Americans? Jesus tits, lady, read up on your Reformation, at least, and preferably some general history beyond that time Coyote tricked Spider into sticking his dick in a rock.
Did the European invasion fuck shit up for Native Americans? Oh, most indubitably. Abraham Lincoln is one of the bloodiest immoral bastards in history. That’s what history *is** one group of people fucking over another.
But when the F.F. wrote the Constitution, they weren’t taking cues about politics *or* religion from the Natives, for one thing because the racist old white men didn’t recognize Natives as having anything that could be defined as either. They put that shit in there because this piece of land was where people fled to when they were sick of watching their neighbors get burned at the stake for raising their eyes to the Host during Communion, or not, depending upon who was in power that week.
Oh, and you know what? People who write the laws pretty much get to call people who break them “criminals”. That’s kind of the point of words like “law” and “criminal”.
But hey, the fine gentlemen at NAMBLA take offense when dudes who rape little boys are called criminals, too.
Hell, I don’t like the fact that I’m a criminal for lighting up a fatty before I read retarded shit on the Internet, but under current law, that’s exactly what I am.
Pedophiles using website for moms to scope out kids
Thursday, July 26th, 2007Turned on the TV for background noise at work when I saw this piece on Fox about another sick fuck website targeting young girls.
The site looks kid friendly but it’s another sick pedophile kid trap.
Check out this from the site: Sugar and Spice — All About GirlLovers
A long time ago, girllovers were called pedophiles. Back in those days, people understood that pedophiles were simply people who loved children in the same way that girllovers love girls today. Unfortunately, when people hear the word pedophile now, they think it means child molester. A child molester is a very evil person who hurts children. Girllovers do not like child molesters at all, and think that child molesters should go to jail. While a girllover wants to make girls happy and do only things the girl wants to do, child molesters are selfish people and want to force girls to do things that they don’t want to do. Unfortunately, even some good people can become bad. Some girllovers lose the
ability to exercise self-control and become selfish, and these things sometimes result in them doing bad things. The main difference between girllovers and child molesters is very simple: girllovers want to love and to give, while child molesters only want to take and are not interested in love.

MLK monument outsourced, critics say
Wednesday, July 25th, 2007
By Mitchell Landsberg - Los Angeles Times
Sphere: Related ContentCHANGSHA, CHINA - Someday, a great monument in Washington may bear the name of Lei Yixin. For now, you can find him down a pockmarked road in a grungy industrial suburb of this Chinese provincial capital. The monument won’t be built to honor Lei, who is scarcely famous in his own hometown, much less the United States. It is being built in memory of the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. and will rise along Washington’s Tidal Basin, between the Jefferson and Lincoln memorials. Lei’s role will be to carve the statue of King that will be the centerpiece of the tribute. His selection as sculptor for the prominent memorial honoring the civil rights leader has outraged some who believe that an African American, or at least an American, should have gotten the job.’This is an AMERICAN monument - not a Communist Chinese one!!’ declared one entry in a website, kingisours.com, that is devoted to the controversy. Said another, ‘Can I just say one word? ‘Outsourcing.’ ‘ The outcry over the King statue recalls an earlier uproar over the choice of a young Asian American sculptor, Maya Lin, to design the Vietnam Veterans Memorial. In the case of the King statue, critics of Lei have received a boost from CNN’s Lou Dobbs, who recently asked David Hamilton, a member of the committee who picked the sculptor, ‘What in the world were you folks thinking?’
A prominent African American sculptor who says he was pushed aside in favor of Lei believes he knows the answer. The sculptor, Ed Dwight, who also holds the distinction of being America’s first black astronaut, says the backers of the King memorial told him they hoped the choice of a Chinese sculptor would persuade the Chinese government to give $25 million to the King memorial fund, which has a target of $100 million.

“The left is getting more insane and more ugly by the hour. Here’s another way-over-the-line post by `Pareene’ at the worthless Wonkette site: Rudy Reveals Secret War! - Wonkette.
“In a stunning rocket, Rudy Jew-liani basically admitted that he doesn’t know anything at all about foreign policy - or maybe that he knows too much. In an interview with the Jew York Times, Rudy inavertendly [sic] revealed that the US has been fighting an entire extra war these last few years that only he knows about.
Casual offhanded antisemitism-how edgy!
LGF also has more examples of such speech from Wonkette and her ilk. And Atlas reports some of the fallout. Antisemitic hate speech is OK now, it seems — unless a conservative utters it, of course.

I had to laugh at the first part, if you remember the talk around the Mike Tyson rape case…
“What self respecting woman goes to MIKE TYSONS room at 4 am to talk?”
Yes women should be entitled to go to a man’s hotel room no matter what time it is and he should not expect ANYTHING!
Yeah, right lol! Men are such dogs…

Only there do you see many, many of the women clucking about how it’s their God-given right to go to a seedy bar at 2AM, alone, downtown in a big city, get wasted and have no possibility of getting raped, mugged, murdered, etc. We’re not talking hypothetical here, which we would all agree to, but rather they simply cannot accept the existence of evil men and women who would do heinous things to them in such a setting.
If a man wrote that he should be able to walk down a poor section of town wearing a high end Rolex, custom-fitted Armani and Gucci, $20,000+ of gold/diamond bling and not get mugged, he’d be lampooned as an abject moron who can’t accept reality. Such is the difference that you seem to miss.”
Republican Lawmaker Rebuked For Striding Onto House Floor In Hawaiian Shirt, Slippers

SUMMER FASHION REPORT… This is so silly….found on Drudge
Granted, it is summer, when dress codes tend to get a little looser in the face of Washington’s starched-shirt- wilting heat. But a slipper-clad Rep. Gary Miller (R-Calif.) apparently took the summer casual look a little too far and he got a dressing down for, well, dressing down!ROLL CALL reports: During a House vote at about 7:30 p.m. on Monday, Miller strode onto the floor wearing a look better suited to a backyard cookout than the House chamber: a loose-fitting Hawaiian shirt, linen pants and slippers.
The sartorial faux pas even prompted Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-Texas), who was presiding over the chamber at the time, to weigh in: “The chair must remind Members that the proper standard of dress in the chamber is business attire, which includes both coat and tie for gentlemen.”
But Lee, herself, has also gone summer casual on the House floor, staffers mock!
I found this on the CSPAN website and found the following…
Sphere: Related ContentDoesn’t Congress have a dress code? I just saw a shot of a female member on the House floor wearing sneakers. I have also seen Members wear sports team t-shirts. Are those considered appropriate attire? Washington, D.C. - 5/3/00
House rules do not spell out what is or is not appropriate attire, except for prohibiting the wearing of hats on the floor. This omission of specifics leaves the question of what is appropriate to the presiding officer at the time a challenge is made. The last time the Chair ruled on this question was in 1979 during the energy crisis. President Carter had ordered all government thermostats to be turned up high. With minimal air conditioning, Members and staff were dressing to ward off the heat. The presiding officer refused to recognize a Member, citing his clothing, and asked that he leave the floor and not return without appropriate attire. The record does not show what that Member had — or did not have — on. The Chair stated that “appropriate attire” for men meant coats and ties. In a later ruling, the Chair stated that Members could not wear overcoats on the floor.
What constitutes appropriate attire for women has never been spelled out. Sneakers are not at all unusual. Many women Members wear them to the floor, given the need to move quickly from their office buildings to the Capitol to make a vote. Rep. Cynthia McKinney (D-Georgia), for example, is famous for wearing only variations of glittery gold sneakers.
As for sports team t-shirts, it would be most unusual for one Member to make a point of order against another who is bragging about a home team victory. Wearing such a t-shirt is understood to be part of a moment of frivolity that passes quickly. Most recently, Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee’s tribute to the Houston Comets during one-minute speeches on September 8, 1999 drew no rebuke. In contrast,
Rep. Major Owens was asked later that same day to remove his baseball cap commemorating the Congressional Black Caucus legislative weekend during a special order speech.
In the Senate, there is not a single word in the rules about attire. The Senate’s precedents are equally silent. In fact, they only refer to personal behavior twice. In 1914, the Chair ruled that smoking was not permitted on the Senate floor, and in 1966 the Chair ruled it was o.k. to drink milk while delivering a speech on the floor! It would take a direct challenge from a Senator on the floor to get the Chair to rule on another Senator’s attire. Just as is true in the House, Senators would rather save their public disputes for more serious matters. Instead, they would probably seek to settle any wardrobe affronts off-stage.

Sphere: Related ContentIn political life today, you are considered compassionate if you demand that government impose your preferences on others. But what’s compassionate about that? Compassionate is “live and let live.”
Brink Lindsey, author of the new book “The Age of Abundance: How Prosperity Transformed America’s Politics and Culture”, says that a growing number of Americans agree. They are increasingly tolerant of other people while still holding firm values of their own. Lindsey writes at the Cato Institute website: “Core commitments to family, work, and country remain strong, but they are tempered by broadminded tolerance of the country’s diversity and a deep humility about telling others how they should live. …
“Liberal attitudes on race and the role of women in society have now become subjects of overwhelming consensus. Consider interracial dating, once among the most ferociously enforced of taboos. According to a 2003 survey, 77 percent of Americans agreed with the proposition, ‘I think it’s all right for blacks and whites to date each other,’ up from 48 percent in 1987. … Some 9 in 10 Americans endorsed equal job opportunities for gays and lesbians as of 2003.”
Lindsey, whose book is getting favorable attention in The New York Times, The Economist, Los Angeles Times, Times of London and National Review, is not the first to point this out, but he emphasizes that the “live and let live” ethic arose only when material security could be taken for granted. As people worried less about where their next meal would come from, they had time to contemplate and develop more enlightened attitudes.
“American capitalism is derided for its superficial banality, yet it has unleashed profound, convulsive social change,” he writes. “Condemned as mindless materialism, it has burst loose a flood tide of spiritual yearning. The civil rights movement and the sexual revolution, environmentalism and feminism, the fitness and health-care boom and the opening of the gay closet, the withering of censorship and the rise of a ‘creative class’ of ‘knowledge workers’ — all are the progeny of widespread prosperity.”
Relative freedom and the astounding prosperity it yielded have created one of the most humane societies in history — the opposite of what the opponents of economic freedom predicted.

I have not read a single Harry Potter book, (ya know black folks don’t read….just kidding…slightly) but Mrs. Snoop has, so I wonder if she or daughter-in-law Misty would agree with this:
********
Sphere: Related ContentUntil just a few minutes ago, I was under the spell of the last of the Harry Potter books and expect to post something on that in a few minutes — or maybe a hour or so. All I can say is “WOW!” I guessed some things right (but also got a lot wrong) about certain characters. Still, I couldn’t put the book down and wanted to finish it before I heard the ending from anyone else. Not only does she borrow images, characters and expression from mythologiy, but more importantly, Rowling borrows great themes from these ancient stories.
Pehaps, someone in my graduate program should write a dissertation on the Harry Potter series as myth — as I had once considered writing such a thesis about The Lord of the Rings.
And with her story, we see that Rowling is a conservative, if not in name, at least in her philosophy. Thematically, she has much, oh so much, in common with C.S. Lewis.
President Bush makes girl cry
Wednesday, July 25th, 2007The Washington Times sends along its account of how a 13-year-old girl was driven to tears today when her question to President Bush about immigration was met with initial derision by the shamnesty champion-in-chief.
Sphere: Related ContentA question for President Bush on immigration rose up like a ghost from the grave this afternoon in Ohio.Only the questioner was a 13-year old blonde-headed girl, Jessica Hackerd, from Brecksville, Ohio, who immediately broke into tears after making her inquiry.
“Mr. President, I know immigration has been a big problem in the U.S. And what is your next step with the immigration bill?” Jessica asked Mr. Bush, during a question and answer period after a speech Mr. Bush gave to a Cleveland business group.
Mr. Bush’s sarcastic reply — a wry “yeah, thanks” — drew laughter from the crowd of 400. But the attention caused young Jessica, who characterized herself in an interview afterward as very shy, to immediately tear up.
The response at the end of the post hits the mark…..
Do you think there’s anyone in the White House who might possibly realize that it’s precisely this flippant attitude that has turned off so many grass-roots conservatives and eroded the president’s political capital when he needs it the most?
It’s shows that he is either really out of touch with the American people or he just does not give a damm, which is precisely why I’m as ready for his ass to be out of office as much as any liberal Democrat.
It also illustrates that the Republican Party clearly does not have a “leader” at a time when the country really needs one.
Is dude incapable of correctly addressing and respecting a young child asking a legitimate question, or is he simply still bitter that his credibility on this issue and others are quickly fading? The battle fatigue is evident.
Al Sharpton and Wal-Mart: Open-borders buddies
Wednesday, July 25th, 2007From Michelle Malkin
The nation’s biggest racial demagogue and the nation’s biggest employer joined hands at the National Council of La Raza’s annual conference to push for another shamnesty bill. AP reports:
The Rev. Al Sharpton and Wal-Mart CEO Lee Scott became unlikely allies Tuesday in their call to revive immigration legislation, in speeches before the nation’s largest Hispanic civil rights organization. “Congress needs to pass a comprehensive immigration reform bill now,” said Scott, who heads the world’s largest retailer.
Scott attributed his views in part to his Mexican-American granddaughter, who has helped him to understand immigration as more than “simply a cerebral exercise.”
Read the rest here, but hold on….
I thought people like poverty pimp Al Sharpton represented the interest of Negro folks?
Illegal immigration hurts blacks, particularly poor blacks more than any other racial demographic. Sharpton obviously dismisses this notion. Oh well, a few more unemployed black folks as a result of illegal immigrants won’t matter.
Let’s see black unemployment is around 10.5 percent and increasing.
Factoring in education, in 2000, 65 percent of black male high school dropouts in their 20’s were jobless that is, unable to find work, not seeking it or incarcerated. By 2004, the share had grown to 72 percent, compared with 34 percent of white and 19 percent of Hispanic dropouts. Even when high school graduates were included, half of black men in their 20’s were jobless in 2004, up from 46 percent in 2000.
There is furious debate amongst blacks over the economic impact that the estimated 12 million illegal immigrants in the U.S. have on the job market.
I have read many articles by black intellectual types stating that there is no concrete evidence that employers hire Latinos at low-end jobs and exclude blacks from them solely because of their race.
However after being in Los Angeles I frankly think that is bullshit.
These same black intellectuals also state that many blacks will no longer work the low skilled, menial factory, restaurant, and custodial jobs that in decades past they filled. The pay is too low, the work too hard, and the indignities too great. I guess being poor, broke and jobless is preferable.
Now employers vehemently deny that they shun blacks, and maintain that blacks don’t apply for these jobs; I find that hard to believe.
I frankly don’t get why these sellout black folks are so protective of illegal immigrants.
The only thing I can think of is in order to maintain their political slave master relationship with the Democratic Party, black misery must be tied to Republicans, Bush, or tax cuts for the rich.
Let me tell you, growing up in Oakland this culture and job clash was a problem back then. Mexicans and blacks don’t like each other, so any perceived “collaboration” between black folks and the illegal Mexican lobbyists types are just a political smoke screen.
This is an old You Tube clip showing this lady who owns a landscaping business and saying that half of her workforce is made up of illegal immigrants.
The no so subtle message from people like this lady who says her jobs are “too hard for most people” is that blacks won’t be hired, even if they do apply. “You niggas are just too lazy.”
Let’s get real; an entire category of jobs at the bottom rung of American industry has been clearly marked as “Latino only” jobs. Further evidence that illegal immigration (cheep labor) increases the economic misery of poor blacks.
However, Democrats will argue, no problem give the Mexicans the low paying jobs and we will simply increase welfare perks for you Negros who prefer to stay at home and watch courtroom shows all day. It’s the least we can do for you Negros as long as you continue voting Democrat.

Wednesday, July 25th, 2007
Found this on the blog Viking Pundit. I need to spread this news around the black community, this is cause for celebration, lol!
Sphere: Related ContentI’m what’s known in the world of credit card companies as a “deadbeat” - I pay my balance off every month so the creditor doesn’t earn any interest or finance charges from me. This has caused my underhanded credit card company to try every machination in the book to squeeze some kind of revenue out of me.First of all, I signed up for a “529 Savings Account” card that dumps 2% of my charges into a college fund for my kids. Months after getting this card, they offered me an “updated” card that only moves 1.5% into the fund. What a deal. Since 1.5% < 2%, I declined.
Next, they sent me a letter saying that people who don’t carry over an outstanding balance would be subjected to a $2/month “service” charge…unless I sent them a letter saying that I did not agree to the charge. Duh. I sent the letter.
Today I opened my statement and noticed they had moved up the due date. I get paid monthly so I pay a whole mess of bills on the last day of the month. My credit card due date had been the 7th or 8th, which allowed ample time to send in payment without incurring a late fee. Now - with no warning - they shifted the due date to August 1st in a bald attempt to make me miss my payment and stick me with a $40 late fee.
Wow…just wow. I would cancel the card except I’ve locked in that 2% refund and they no longer offer cards with that payback level. I guess I’ll just keep driving them nuts until they send me a bill with a 2006 due date.
