In a floor speech Thursday, Sen. Robert C. Byrd (D-W. Va.) lashed out, indirectly, at Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick, who was recently charged with running a dog-fighting ring in Virginia. The speech might have seemed unusually apocalyptic to those who don’t know how much the octogenarian senator loves dogs (view the video here).In biblical terms, Byrd — wearing a navy-blue tie spotted with dog images — attacked animal cruelty in ways that only he can.”It is a brutal, sadistic event motivated by barbarism of the worst sort and cruelty of the worst, worst, worst, sadistic kind,” Byrd said in a 24-minute address on the matter. “One is left wondering: Who are the real animals? Who are the real animals, who are the real animals — the creatures inside the ring or the creatures outside the ring?”Byrd did not specifically address the charges against Vick, a former Virginia Tech football star [We earlier said Vick was a graduate of VT. Vick actually left the school early to join the NFL. Thanks to readers for correcting our mistake], but attacked the nature of Vick’s alleged crime in soaring rhetoric usually reserved for war speeches or Supreme Court confirmation battles: “The training of these poor creatures — weigh those words — the training of these poor creatures — weigh them — the training of these poor creatures to turn themselves into fighting machines is simply barbaric. Barbaric! Barbaric! Barbaric! Let that word resound from hill to hill and from mountain to mountain, from valley to valley across this broad land. Barbaric, barbaric!”

Shit here I am trying to relax in the pool and I take a brief look at the news and I see this news story from the Washington Post about Robert KKK Byrd throwing a back handed temper tantrum aimed indirectly at Michael Vick.

First of all Michael Vick is further proof that no matter how many millions you give a nigga he is still going to be a nigga. No amount of dollars can reform a ghetto ass back woods nigga, he likely did this bullshit as a kid and he thought shit I’m a rich nigga athlete, we can do this, no prob!

Unlike civilized white folks who sail to the Bahamas, or enjoy the Greek isles, maybe travel to Africa and pet a few starving African children, VICK chooses to watch man eating dogs producing blood splatter on his shoes no less and then sell the blood splattered shoes on Ebay!!

Michael Vick is a fool and his nigga ass needs to go to jail, no more NFL. The crap I have been glancing at on TV is fucken sick as hell and appalling, so yes I get that.

And for the other collective outrage from the media and now PETA getting into the outrage, shit don’t you people remember when PETA ran racist ads comparing the plight of animals to slavery. Few websites, blogs, talk shows had outrage for that shit, but nooooo some rich nigga tortures some animals, dogs that frankly should not be bred any dam way and the entire world is up in arms, are you fucken people craz?

Pit bulls have killed countless numbers of kids and adults, but backwoods niggas and meth producing rednecks would insist that “oh these dogs are safe and really very sweet if trained right.” Oh really.

Who knew Robert Byrd and Michael Vick would team up to show just how far our great society has sunk.

Oh well it give me something to rant about. I can’t save the damm world but I can sure as hell laugh at it.
