Rudy…… Abortion…..
Mayor Giuliani has tied himself in knots. His position makes neither logical, moral, nor political sense. Many conservatives are disappointed, and hope that their disappointment is not going to grow as the campaign wears on.

It’s getting too late for Fred Thompson. I like the guy. But it’s unfair of him to wait so long to launch a campaign. People like me have already committed to candidates, (myself to Rudy).
At this point, even if Rudy were to all of a sudden drop from 40 points in the polls down to 4 for some reason, I’d still stick by him. Not only cause I like him, and think he’d be absolutely the best and strongest candidate the GOP could run, but because of loyalty.
I think Thompson has screwed up royally waiting so long. He should have come out a month or two ago. He could have garnered a great many supporters who are already committed.
Sorry, too late Fred.

Thompson has no need to declare now, he already knows he has the grassroots support of a great many conservatives.
Thompson likely may not enter the race until the end of the summer.
The more Rudy make crazy comments like taxpayer funded abortions the more conservatives like me will be turned off by him.
