Bank of America defends immigrant card program

Friday, February 23rd, 2007

OINK, OINK, OINK!!!

m-theuriau10bank.JPGBy Jonathan Stempel

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Bank of America Corp. is defending its decision to offer credit cards to people who don’t have U.S. Social Security numbers, amid criticism that the program effectively endorses illegal immigration.

The bank’s pilot program, revealed last week, focuses on Hispanics in the Los Angeles area.

It has spurred opposition in Congress and from grass-roots groups who say many illegal immigrants could benefit, and that the program might foster identity theft, money laundering and terrorism.

Bank of America Chief Executive Kenneth Lewis defended the program on Thursday in The Wall Street Journal. This came after some groups called for a boycott of the No. 2 U.S. bank by assets. They say their efforts are bearing fruit.

William Gheen, director of the National Illegal Immigration Boycott Coalition, said his group has collected hundreds of e-mails from people vowing to cancel accounts and move mortgages. The group said it has more than 11,000 signatures on its petition calling for a boycott of Bank of America.

“What Bank of America is doing is illegal, or should be,” Gheen said.

For its part, Bank of America has not seen “any unusual business activity” resulting from responses to the pilot program, spokeswoman Alexandra Trower said.

Read the rest, but why bother, Bank of America should thank God that I’m not a media person with lots of influence.
I would call for a massive boycott of these bastards.
If I had Oprah or Rush money I would be tempted to pay folks a small amount of money to change banks because this shit pisses me off so much.

If you bank with these bastards and do nothing you support this crazy shit, period.

The Clinton’s Ties To Terrorists

Friday, February 23rd, 2007

hillary6.jpgThe post found via Screw Politically Correct B.S.

So…..how far from reality does one think (this) picture below really is? Hillary and Osama? Not as far as you’d think.

Enter Abdurahman Alamoudi:

***Founder and executive director of the American Muslim Council

***Islamic affairs advisor for the Clinton administration

***Arrested in 2003 for terrorist fundraising

Islamic affairs advisor for the Clinton administration you say! No wonder Clintoon never popped Osama.

Interesting.

“In the late 1990’s, Alamoudi was granted the privilege of selecting Muslim chaplains for the military. His goal was to inject America’s armed forces with a dose of Wahhabi Sunnism, the extremist Islamic dogma that advocates violence against America and its allies. Among the chaplains Alamoudi hired was James Yee, who worked with al Qaeda and Taliban prisoners in Guantanamo Bay, and who was arrested in 2003 on suspicion of espionage.”

Nice guy.

Dennis Kucinich, laughter ensues…

Friday, February 23rd, 2007

I’m doing more scanning in the blogsphere today than normal, calm day.
I started to see a bunch of posts about Dennis Kucinich and I’m wondering why I’m seeing so much chatter about this nutty dude.
I read a number of far left leaning sites praising this dude like he was some sort of spiritual guru.
I’m reading some takes on blogs and I could not help laughing at these people, I’m like what the fuck would motivate someone to take this wacko seriously, especially for president.
He is the white equivalent of Al Sharpton, but I bet he smokes more weed than Sharpton.

For the hell of it I put together some 411 on dude and added this You Tube clip of him basically saying that Bush blew up the towers and flooded New Orleans.

You Kucinich supporters need to stop smoking that crack, that shit ain’t good for ya!

Rhetoric that can only be seen at Berkeley or at Woodstock now has hit the national scene politically and it is sticking with some.

“The energy of the stars becomes us. We become the energy of the stars. Stardust and spirit unite, and we begin: One with the universe. Whole and holy. From one source, endless creative energy, bursting forth, kinetic, elemental. We, the earth, air, water, and fire source of nearly 15 billion years of cosmic spiraling” (remarks to Praxis Peace Institute, June 9, 2002).

Yes, this is the man who wants to be president of the United States of America.

This from Kos  - “Department of Peace“?

We can conceive of peace as not simply the absence of violence but the presence of the capacity for a higher evolution of human awareness, of respect, trust, and integrity. We can conceive of peace as a tool to tap the infinite capabilities of humanity to transform consciousness and conditions that impel or compel violence at a personal, group, or national level toward creating understanding, compassion, and love. We can bring forth new understandings where peace, not war, becomes inevitable. We can move from wars to end all wars to peace to end all wars.

Citizens across the United States are now uniting in a great cause to establish a Department of Peace, seeking nothing less than the transformation of our society, to make nonviolence an organizing principle, to make war archaic through creating a paradigm shift in our culture for human development for economic and political justice and for violence control.

“Higher evolution of human awareness”? “Transform consciousness”? “Paradign shift”? What the hell is this crap? I expect this kind of crap out of Deepak Chopra (or Tom Cruise), not a serious presidential candidate.

And by the way, the “Department of Peace” already exists. It’s called the “U.S. Department of State”.

Do you CAIR?

Friday, February 23rd, 2007

muslim11.jpgThis post from Ogre’s Politics and Views

Once again, a person has attempted to expose the truth about the religion of Islam today. And as usual, CAIR (who represents VERY FEW Muslims) is whining. They’re going so far this time to claim that the truth is actually slander!

Strangely enough, the main person complaining in the news (besides CAIR) is called a “non-practicing Muslim” whose family is Christian and “taught to accept all religions.” That’s a stupid position to take. It is quite literally impossible to accept ALL religions — THEY CONFLICT WITH ONE ANOTHER! Most religions say you must belong to that religion or you will die (or go to hell). So it is quite literally impossible to accept every religion! Some religions tell you to kill anyone who does not convert to that religion. How does that accept or respect ANY other religion? It is absolutely assanine to even attempt to accept all religions. It’s just completely impossible.

One part of the claimed “slander” is ACTUAL QUOTES comparing Mohammed and Jesus:

—Husband, beat your wives and deny them sex.” (The book of Islam, Koran 4:34)

—”Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the Church and gave Himself for her.” (The Holy Bible, Ephesians 5:25)

Nice comparison, isn’t it? It’s completely FACTUAL. There’s not even any opinion there — it’s a clear outline of the facts showing the difference between two religions. But Triaq Butte (a “non practicing Muslim”) says that’s slander and defamation. Perhaps Mr. Butte needs to go back to school and learn what “slander” means.

But wait, there’s more!

Mr. Butte completely opposes ANY freedom of speech, even that which has nothing to do with Muslim. He opposes the KKK having freedom of speech, too. Apparently Mr. Butte does not want anyone to be allowed to say anything that he, personally, disagress with. He claims he’s for “freedom of speech,” and even claims that he doesn’t like some aspects of Islam — but he’s not for anyone else, apparently, disagreeing with him.

The CAIR whiners (representing less than 0.0595% of American Muslims) complained that a Muslim was not invited, too. Of course, that’s not even true, but when have the facts ever gotten in the way of a good CAIR complaint?

The truth hurts. Sorry that Muslims don’t like that.

Catholic Church lobbies for open borders

Friday, February 23rd, 2007

illegals6.jpgThis from Michelle Malkin, her last line although chilling I think it’s dead on.
It is going to be up to individual states to combat this problem.
I guarantee that this country will one day regret not having dealt with this issue more seriously.

Border security frankly is one of my top issues in the “08” presidential race.
Whoever comes to the forefront and speaks clearly and firmly on this issue is more likely to get my vote.

In church. For Lent. LA Times:

Roman Catholic leaders in Orange and Los Angeles counties marked Ash Wednesday — the start of a season of repentance and reflection — with a plea to Catholics and others to commit themselves to immigration reform. In Orange County, the church asked people to fast — consuming liquids only — for one day between March 26 and 30 as an appeal for citizenship opportunities for undocumented immigrants and reductions in visa application backlogs for the families of immigrants.

The church also called for a temporary worker program.

The Mexican government’s full-throttled lobbying campaign is on. The amnesty steamroller moves forward. There are more illegal alien marches in store. And the line-jumpers keep on coming.

Looks like border security ain’t got a prayer.

Ticking time bomb…

britney.jpgTroubled pop star Britney Spears’ father Jamie has spoken out about his daughter’s recent troubles, calling her “a sick little girl.” Spears’ father, who, like the singer, has also sought rehab help, was seen with his daughter when she initially checked into the Promises Treatment Center in Malibu, California on Tuesday.

The pop star was spotted having dinner with her father on Sunday, when he reportedly pleaded with her to get professional help. Jamie Spears tells Fox News the problems she is facing are “not about what other people think.”

He says that he and Spears’ mother are “concerned about our daughter,” adding the troubled pop star is “a sick little girl.” He says, “We’re just trying to take care of her.”

Hagel The Idiot Strikes Again

Thursday, February 22nd, 2007

chuck_hagel_headshot.jpgThis from Ankle Biting Pundits . What’s the matter with Nebraska!! How is the moron in office?

Chuck Hagel, the pompous, overbearing, media-loving RINO Senator from Nebraska (once again) took an opportunity to slam the Bush administration, but his comments belie his ignorance.

He notes that having people with a military background is important, and the only one with that in the Bush administration was Colin Powell, “the one person they listened to least.”

Yeah Chuck, I guess this doesn’t count as military experience, does it?

Mr. Rumsfeld attended Princeton University on academic and NROTC scholarships (A.B., 1954) and served in the U.S. Navy (1954-57) as an aviator and flight instructor. In 1957, he transferred to the Ready Reserve and continued his Naval service in flying and administrative assignments as a drilling reservist until 1975. He transferred to the Standby Reserve when he became Secretary of Defense in 1975 and to the Retired Reserve with the rank of Captain in 1989.

But this is Chuck Hagel we’re talking about here. Facts don’t matter. Only slamming Republicans does.

I admire and respect Hagel for his military service. But as a Senator, he’s a disaster, especially when it comes to Iraq. Keep reading those polls Chuck.  I’m sure Hardball and Meet The Press will keep you on speed-dial.

Cheney vs Pelosi

Thursday, February 22nd, 2007
elmerfudd.jpgFrom Bortz

You gotta love Dick Cheney. He already knows the mainstream media and the Democrats hate him, so he just goes right out there and says exactly what he thinks…and often times, it’s priceless. It all started recently in Japan, of all places. Cheney was giving an interview to ABC News about John Murtha and Nancy Pelosi’s attempts to short-circuit the troop surge in Iraq. Here is exactly what he said:

“I think if we were to do what Speaker Pelosi and Congressman Murtha are suggesting, all we will do is validate the Al Qaeda strategy. The Al Qaeda strategy is to break the will of the American people, try to persuade us to throw in the towel and come home, and then they win because we quit.”

And that’s when it hit the fan. A furious Nancy Pelosi tried to reach President Bush to complain, but only got through to the Chief of Staff. Madame Speaker whined that Cheney’s comments were “beneath the dignity of the debate we’re engaged in and a disservice to our men and women in uniform, whom we all support.” Uh-huh. Then Pelosi trotted out her well-worn straw man and accused the Bush Administration of questioning her patriotism, something he didn’t do.

So what’s the problem here? The truth hurts, doesn’t it? Cheney just spoke his mind…and he’s right. The Democratic strategy in Iraq is the Al-Qaeda strategy: surrender. It’s too bad Nancy Pelosi can’t accept that.

It’s a shame that we have such a whining little bitch as Speaker of the House. It’s Washington you little twit.

I though she was suppose to be this hard nose politician?

Take this report and the one below about the liberal nut below and how the media chooses to brush off certain little details.

I don’t know about you but I’m really getting tired of hearing about this.
There needs to be an examination of what young aspiring journalists on college campuses around the country are being taught and how they get to be not only so left leaning but just plain stupid.
Is the media getting worse or is it just me, or are bloggers getting better at exposing these media jackasses?

A lot of you liberals need either serious psychiatric assistance or you need to find God, or Buddha or some other spiritual resource.

Malkin gives the left’s newest mentally-challenged homefront hero the treatment that the mainstream press, for some reason, just can’t seem to give him. Make sure you read the screen caps of the loon’s facebook comments. Note the word “kykes.”

Hell, the media won’t even dare to utter his political affiliation. We tried to help yesterday, but were blown off by the Free Lance-Star reporter for suggesting that this was a rabid, deranged leftist DEMOCRAT targeting people for their beliefs and attacking them.

And why isn’t the densosphere condemning or even mentioning this incident? No Important Action Alert? No Townhall talking points email? No coordinated smear campaign on those the vicious little moonbat attacked? No cyber lynchmob? No ranting, profanity-laced tirades against the patriarchy and war machine?

I guess we’re left to conclude that they support this kind of behavior.

‘Find the Illegal Immigrant’

Thursday, February 22nd, 2007
realaliens.jpgCollege Republicans’ event today incites protest from student groups - Story Link

A contest called “Find the Illegal Immigrant” - a mock hunt for a student posing as just that - is being met with widespread protest on campus and receiving local and national media coverage.

The event, sponsored by NYU’s College Republicans, is planned for today in Washington Square Park from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The student posing as the illegal immigrant will wear a name tag saying so. Other students will try to find him or her, playing the part of border patrol agents and wearing nametags that say “INS,” referring to the former Immigration and Naturalization Service.

College Republicans president and CAS junior Sarah Chambers said the contest is intended to bring attention to the issue of illegal immigration. The hunt is also designed to draw people to a table the group plans to set up in the south side of the Silver Center, Chambers said.

“The event will open up both vocally and physically the issue of illegal immigration,” she said. “That it’s not right to come here illegally while others are waiting to come here legally and receive free health care and jobs that undercut wages of American workers and people that are living here legally.”

The contest’s premise has caused an uproar on campus. Student groups - including the ACLU at NYU, the College Democrats and several multicultural clubs - have organized a protest that they expect will draw hundreds of students.

College Democrats president and CAS senior Nora Toiv called the event ignorant and dehumanizing.

“The event is offensive because by playing a game like this, you make light of a real-life situation,” Toiv said. “To ridicule what is often a very traumatic experience is hateful.”

Chambers refuted accusations of racism and said that the event is bringing debate to the issue.

“We are raising awareness here,” Chambers said. “People from around the country have been e-mailing me both positively and negatively, but the fact remains that everytime the American public is polled, immigration ranks among the top three issues of concern, so we’re not too far-fetched in our stance here.”

“The goal here is to get people talking about it,” she added.

Toiv said the College Democrats’ largest objection to the event is in the way it has been presented.

“It’s the issues they address and the way they address them that seem to always be targeting fellow students and staff at NYU. It’s hateful,” Toiv said. “Why can’t you talk about something that doesn’t personally attack several students?”

“Having tolerance for immigration is not a partisan issue,” she added.

Protesters from the various other groups will be carrying signs and handing out pamphlets stating “No one is illegal” and calling the event “completely unacceptable.”

Toiv said she wants the protest to be peaceful and is pushing for a silent protest.

“We’re hoping for a peaceful protest that displays our disgust with the event,” Toiv said. “If we come out looking crazier than the Republicans do, then we will have failed. But if the protest can go off peacefully, it will be a victory for us.”

In light of the event, TV vans and national news stations swarmed onto NYU’s campus yesterday. Many local stations reported live in front of the Kimmel Center, while the story made headlines nationwide, including coverage on CNN, Fox News, NPR and talk radio.

While the College Republicans anticipated the large response from the NYU community, Chambers said she had no idea the event would create this much of a reaction from outside the university.

“The media response was much larger then I expected - the NYU response was not,” she said.

In interviews yesterday, several students voiced concern about the event.

CAS junior Zach Lane said he wishes it hadn’t gotten so much coverage.

“I think it’s better not to give them any attention,” he said.

Pre-emptive Surrender

Thursday, February 22nd, 2007
pre-emptive.gifHenryk Broder, one of Germany’s few contrarian journalists, recently wrote a book decrying the weakness of the free West in the face of Islamic fanaticism. Tongue firmly in cheek, he called it: Hurra, Wir Kapitulieren, (Hurray! We’re Capitulating). Broder was primarily addressing Europe’s political class. But if the machinations of the Democratic Congress last week are any indication, the tendency toward gleeful submission before enemy forces cannot be dismissed as an exclusively Continental phenomenon.

Exhibit A in this tendency was the passage on Friday of the “non-binding” House resolution condemning President Bush’s strategy of boosting troop levels in Baghdad. If Democrats had the courage of their antiwar convictions, they would have taken a page from their predecessors in 1973 and exercised the power of the purse to deny any further funding for the war effort. But this would require principle, however misguided, and Democrats are primarily interested in political posturing.

The result? Even as American troops were marching into battle, House Democrats, abetted by 17 Republican defectors, were prejudging their mission a failure. How to reconcile last week’s vote with the fact that just weeks ago the Democrat-led Senate unanimously approved Army Gen. David Petraeus to command that same mission is anyone’s guess. Time may yet prove the House skeptics right about the wisdom of the surge. But it won’t alter the fact that at a dire time for the country they have acquitted themselves abominably.

And they were just getting started. As a sequel to last week’s resolution, House Democrats are working on what the Politico.com website described as a “slow-bleed strategy.” Cynicism on a spectacular scale, it works like this: Into a forthcoming bill on supplemental spending for the war effort in Iraq and Afghanistan, the Democratic leadership intends to insert prohibitive restrictions that will make it all but impossible to deploy additional troops into the military theater.

What Does Obama Believe?

Thursday, February 22nd, 2007

obama7.jpgMore from Little Green Footballs , if you don’t check out this site on a regular basis you need to.

Here’s a close look at the church attended by presidential candidate Barack Obama, the Trinity United Church of Christ—a Christian version of the Nation of Islam: Obamination.

How many Americans would vote for a presidential candidate who was the member of a church that professed the following credo?

1. Commitment to God
2. Commitment to the White Community
3. Commitment to the White Family
4. Dedication to the Pursuit of Education
5. Dedication to the Pursuit of Excellence
6. Adherence to the White Work Ethic
7. Commitment to Self-Discipline and Self-Respect
8. Disavowal of the Pursuit of “Middleclassness”
9. Pledge to make the fruits of all developing and acquired skills available to the White Community
10. Pledge to Allocate Regularly, a Portion of Personal Resources for Strengthening and Supporting White Institutions
11. Pledge allegiance to all White leadership who espouse and embrace the White Value System
12. Personal commitment to embracement of the White Value System.

The question is rhetorical, of course. The answer is that such a candidate wouldn’t have a snowball’s chance in hell of getting elected dog catcher (apologies to America’s animal rescue and public safety personnel) let alone President, because that candidate would be instantly branded a racist, among the most vile and frightening of white supremacists.

And those holding the branding irons would be 100% right.

Yet, in the “About” section of the U.S. Senate website for Barack Obama, Democratic senator from Illinois and contender for the Democratic nomination for President of the United States, it states that Obama and his family “live on Chicago’s South Side where they attend Trinity United Church of Christ.”

So…?

Well, to say that the Trinity United Church of Christ (http://www.tucc.org)
is afrocentric in the extreme would be a gross understatement. It’s not simply afrocentric, it’s African-centric. In fact, one could argue that this organization worships things African to a far greater degree than they do Christ, and gives the impression of being a separatist “church” in the same vein as do certain supremacist “white brethren” churches – or even Louis Farrakhan’s Nation of Islam.

Shocking? An overstatement? An overreaction?

One can see for oneself on the Trinity United Church website, which is replete with confirmation of what I present here. What follows is an excerpt from their Mission Statement…

UPDATE: Maureen Dowd Column Incites Hillary-Obama War of Words

Wednesday, February 21st, 2007
fight.jpg(NEW YORK)  Maureen Dowd’s column in The New York Times today, in which she quoted former Bill Clinton supporter David Geffen offering a few caustic comments, has incited a strong Hillary Clinton campaign attack on Geffen — and the candidate he now favors, Sen. Barack Obama. Then Obama’s team fired back.”Everybody in politics lies, but they [the Clintons] do it with such ease, it’s troubling,” Geffen had said.

Clinton campaign spokesman Howard Wolfson released the following statement this morning: “While Senator Obama was denouncing slash and burn politics yesterday, his campaign’s finance chair was viciously and personally attacking Senator Clinton and her husband.

“If Senator Obama is indeed sincere about his repeated claims to change the tone of our politics, he should immediately denounce these remarks, remove Mr. Geffen from his campaign and return his money.

“While Democrats should engage in a vigorous debate on the issues, there is no place in our party or our politics for the kind of personal insults made by Senator Obama’s principal fundraiser.”

Black history is depressing

Wednesday, February 21st, 2007

black-history.jpg

I’m glad I found this, simply said and well put. Makes scanning blogs and sites worth while. Dude reminds me of ME! Without the typos and profanity of course… LOL!

Years ago my grandparents and their friends braved German shepherds and fire hoses. The instant that happened they became a part of black history.

Now that it’s Black History Month, I feel the pressing need to bring that up everywhere I go.

But, after watching several reruns of Sanford and Son, I started thinking, and if you know me, you know it’s dangerous when I decide to use my brain. Do we really need a month to celebrate and learn about the different cultures of the people that reside in this country?

Are the history books in our public school system so outdated that there is no curriculum on anyone but the Caucasian contributors to this country?

Sure, you open a history book and see names like Martin Luther King, Rosa Parks, Cesar Chavez, and (insert any leader here). But, do the same names we learn about still hold the same meaning after all these years?

Depends. Give me some new black history please! It wouldn’t kill you to teach me about people I know of yet know nothing about. Hell, I was watching Sanford and Son, so teach me something about the dude that played Lamont.

I want to know more about Wilt Chamberlain scoring 100 points - and allegedly sleeping with thousands of women.

Who was the brother that invented the Afro pick? Was it a brother that invented the Afro pick?

Another thing: stop depressing me. It sucks. Life as a black man might go a little easier if I didn’t get all this pressure put on me every February. I always get some old lady telling me stories about Dr. King or Malcolm X and how she used to throw her panties at Sam Cooke back in the day. That last one had nothing to do with the point, but it was very funny to me so, oh well.

Why isn’t George Washington Carver’s name on one jar of peanut butter? For God’s sake, you mean neither he, nor anyone in his family could capitalize on that opportunity? I mean, if Peter Pan can have his own brand of peanut butter, and Donald Duck has his own orange juice, and Popeye has his own chicken joint, why couldn’t Carver get his own brand of peanut butter?

But back to what I was saying. I hate - I mean can’t stand - February.

Remember how good the Bulls were when they had Jordan? I feel like I’m on that Chicago team after all the good players left. Unfortunately, the team is now in a rebuilding mode. Now, the current players such as myself have to hear all these stories of greatness about the past regime, and it doesn’t exactly make us feel good.

We know of and appreciate the sacrifices they made for us, but are we expected to duplicate what they have done? The talent potential is there, but we’re still young. The game has changed so the old school way isn’t going to work anymore.

There are still some players from the old school around (Sharpton and Jackson), but they’ve become journeymen, like a pair of Julio Franco. Just like Julio, they can kind of get the job done, but at times you wonder why they don’t just bow out.

After all these years of having images of slaves with gashes in their backs, a teenager mutilated beyond recognition in Money, Mississippi, and Dr. King’s assassination seared into my mind, it’s difficult to forget.

I get it!

However I’m just a regular guy. Stop holding me up to the standards of the extraordinary men and women who made it OK for me to be, well, just ordinary.

Hillary, Obama Trade Barbs Over Geffen

Wednesday, February 21st, 2007
hillaryrambabe.jpgTwo Democratic presidential campaigns accused the other of nasty politics on Wednesday over a Hollywood donor who once backed Hillary Rodham Clinton’s husband but now backs her top rival.

Amid the accusations in tit-for-tat news releases, Clinton tried to remain above the fray.

“I’m just going to stay focused on my campaign and I’m going to run a positive campaign about the issues that affect the people in our country,” she said in a brief interview with The Associated Press

While attending a candidates’ forum in Nevada, Clinton left it to her campaign to keep up the war of words and deal with questions about whether the response was excessive. “We’ll let others decide that,” she said.

Edwards: Israelgate part 2…

Wednesday, February 21st, 2007

edwards2.jpg

From Hot Air

This is just funny. Remember the other day, when ambulance chaser John Edwards was quoted saying that Israel is the greatest threat to world peace or some such? Here’s a link to refresh memories or get everyone up to date.

Well, he met a buzzsaw of criticism from the sane people of the world, but the folks at Wonkette decided to defend him. Yes, defend him. In their usual reasoned, rigorous way of course. (Link fixed–Wonkette’s defense is in the 2nd paragraph of the post.) (SILLY LIBERAL BLOGGER)

Well, now Edwards has clarified his comments. He doesn’t think that Israel is the greatest threat to world peace. So what say you now, Wonkette? Hmmmmmmmmm?

That crackling sound you hear is the limb you jumped out on being sawed out from under you. By John Edwards.

Heh.

Military Deaths In The Clinton Administration Vs. Military Deaths In Iraq

Wednesday, February 21st, 2007

war2.jpgFrom Right Wing News, yes again….dude always has good stuff on his site what can I say. Rush talked about this on his show yesterday.  Of course the average American pays no attention to this shit.

The total military dead in the Iraq war between 2003 and this month stands at about 3,133. This is tragic, as are all deaths due to war, and we are facing a cowardly enemy unlike any other in our past that hides behind innocent citizens. Each death is blazoned in the headlines of newspapers and Internet sites.

What is never compared is the number of military deaths during the Clinton administration: 1,245 in 1993; 1,109 in 1994; 1,055 in 1995; 1,008 in 1996. That’s 4,417 deaths in peacetime but, of course, who’s counting?”Alicia Colon

It’s official: NBC totally loses news credibility

Wednesday, February 21st, 2007
olbermann3.JPGAlexandria, VA – NBC News announced today that MSNBC’s Keith Olbermann will contribute occasional “essays,” i.e., commentary, to NBC’s Nightly News with Brian Williams. In response to NBC’s announcement, Media Research Center President Brent Bozell issued the following statement:

“NBC just lurched further left politically with its choice of Keith Olbermann, a known ‘liberal hero,’ to provide occasional commentary on the Nightly News. Commentary, even liberal commentary, by itself is perfectly acceptable, but the problem is that Keith Olbermann is a dishonest commentator. Look at his record, which has been well-documented here at the Media Research Center.

“Mr. Olbermann has consistently mis-represented the facts on a variety of issues, including the Iraq war, the war against terrorism, homeland security, global warming, the Republican Party, President Bush, and on and on. For instance, Mr. Olbermann, without a shred of evidence, has even suggested that the White House uses the terror alert code to manipulate public opinion. That’s not commentary. That’s delusional paranoia.

“Keith Olbermann not only consistently distorts truth, he does so while smearing conservatives he doesn’t like with vile ad hominem attacks – the kind of attacks that would trigger the immediate dismissal of a conservative if he or she did the same on NBC.

“NBC could have chosen any number of insightful, thoughtful, fact-centered liberals to provide commentary for the Nightly News. Instead, NBC chose a mean-spirited, truth-distorting leftist, elevating a cable station barker to one of the most esteemed spots on network news. And the liberal media wonder why more and more Americans don’t trust them and are turning away.”

Ya know I simply can’t come up with any witty rants on this one. I am just speechless that NBC would hire this moronic clown to appear on the evening news.
I generally watch NBC not because it’s the best news or anything but you know how you grow up watching one news network or another and it becomes second nature to you.
I simply won’t watch NBC anymore.

The evening news is supposed to have some measure of balance. Yes, I know all of the major networks are seriously liberal but you watch the evening news as a wrap up to the day’s events and you don’t want “commentary” or any kind.
It would be wrong to put O’reilly, Hannity or Rush on any evening news broadcast.
Olbermann is a fucking lunatic. I seriously think dude smokes crack before he goes on the air.

NBC must be in serious trouble if the news division leadership thinks this is a good idea.

Liberals Aren’t Very Good at Talk Radio

Wednesday, February 21st, 2007
al_franken.jpgBy Ken Blackwell - Townhall.com

New York Congressman Maurice Hinchey is on a mission. His Website prominently quotes the congressman’s call to arms, “A diverse American media that presents a wide array of ideas from all sides of the political spectrum is essential to the maintenance of our democracy. If the media becomes corrupted then we’ve begun the erosion of the American political system and the American democracy.”

Before we begin the chorus of amens, it’s important to note the congressman isn’t talking about the evening news on ABC, CBS and NBC. He isn’t talking about the New York Times, Washington Post, L.A. Times, San Francisco Chronicle or even the Cleveland Plain Dealer. And no, he doesn’t care about CNN and MSNBC either. They don’t bother the good representative. He is talking about Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Laura Ingraham, Hugh Hewitt, Dennis Prager and Michael Medved.

You see, Congressman Hinchey is a liberal and liberals are good at several things. They make entertaining movies and write catchy toe-tapping songs. They even make delicious all natural ice cream. But they can’t figure out talk radio. In fact, they are terrible at it. Al Franken never really competed with Rush Limbaugh as he had promised. And Air America Radio became a better punch line than bottom line.

While liberals hold a virtual monopoly on broadcast television and print news, many on the left just can’t stomach the reality of a dominant conservative presence on talk radio. They want to give Mr. Franken and his pessimism and rage-filed talk radio comrades something they could not obtain on their own – market share.

U.S. hip-hop film sparks debate on masculinity

Wednesday, February 21st, 2007

hiphop2.JPGA while back I had this post: Are Black Men Retarded? This spells out the dilemma of black men and their behaviors pretty well by this black minister dude.
This is a problem that will not go away until young black women (er uh children) stop having babies at 12 and 13, and until we can keep black kids in school and get them educated.
Only an ignorant sap can put a full grill of gold teeth in his or her mouth and think that is some how fashionable. This come from watching some of these crazy videos.

There is nothing wrong with most Hip Hop or Rap, but young “uneducated” black children get an unmistakable impression from rap videos that women are nothing more than bitches and hoes and some even have a tremendous amount of “junk in the trunk.”

By Matthew Bigg

ATLANTA, Feb 20 (Reuters Life!) - A hard-hitting documentary on hip-hop that asks why it often shows black men as violent sex-addicts who abuse woman is sparking debate among a generation of young people raised on rap videos.

In “Beyond Beats and Rhymes” film maker Byron Hurt, a former college football star, goes on a journey of discovery around the United States, challenging hip-hop artists and record producers in the multibillion dollar industry.

The documentary, due to be aired on national PBS television on Tuesday, has been screened to dozens of audiences of young people and students, said Sabrina Schmidt-Gordon, the film’s co-producer.

Most critics of hip-hop argue that it shows women as sex objects but the documentary focuses on images of hyper-masculine men and says black youths fall into the trap of trying to emulate the thug life of the videos.

“We are hoping to…challenge that narrow, destructive vision of masculine identity particularly for young men and boys that are the faces of hip-hop,” Schmidt-Gordon said in an interview.

“They are the ones who are dying young from gun violence and women are victim of domestic violence. Our communities have most to lose by buying into violence and sexism,” she said.

One scene shows protests by students at Spelman, a black women’s college in Atlanta, against artist Nelly, whose video for “Tip Drill” showed him swiping a credit card along the backside of a nearly naked woman.

Another scene shows wannabe rap stars in the street outside a hip-hop summit in New York vying with each other to produce the most insulting and demeaning rhymes.

Warning Snoop Rant: Mt Hood Climbers

Wednesday, February 21st, 2007

mt-hood.jpgOk you have to excuse this mild rant, but this mornings Today Show segment with Meredith interviewing those idiots who were rescued from Mt. Hood pissed me off.

I don’t know about you but I am so sick of hearing about these crazy ass white people getting rescued from situations they had no business getting their crazy asses into in the first place.

What pisses me off more is the stupid ass media, all three major networks, CNN and Fox were making these idiots into rock stars, what fucken for?
They decided to go mountain climbing in virtually white out conditions; did these bastards not watch the fucken Weather Channel?

Think of all the tax payer dollars and the risking of lives of the people who plucked them off the mountain. Why were they not interviewed? I know what the first question should be. “wasn’t this a pretty stupid thing to do considering the weather?”
And where are the animal rights people standing up for the dog? The dog almost died because of the stupidity of his owners.

There needs to be something drafted that says if you set-off to do something amazingly stupid and if you get your idiot ass lost or stranded you have to pay all of the costs of the rescue efforts.

Want to know how stupid some of these people are I found this story: After tragedy, lawmakers push for locators on Mt. Hood

Rep. John Lim, chief sponsor, contends that three climbers who perished in December might be alive had they carried the devices, which send electronic signals that can give search and rescue teams the precise location of stranded climbers.

But many climbers say that while carrying beacons is a good idea, it should be their choice — not required.

In the past 25 years, more than 35 climbers have died on the 11,239-foot mountain, Oregon’s tallest peak and one of the most frequently climbed mountains in the world.

We all are aware that most of this country has been experiencing the worst snowfall and cold temperatures in years. So again why the fuck were these people compelled to go mountain climbing NOW!? But based on the above statement these people don’t give a damm about the danger, then why save them?

This is so tired, a bunch of white people being stranded on a mountain is not news.
Now if a bunch of black people get stranded on a mountain in the middle of winter, now THAT would be news, because we are not taking our black asses out in the cold on top of any damm mountain.

I’m sick of hearing about these people and I am insulted that they are being treated like fucken heroes, it’s a damm joke.

John Edwards isn’t really running for president is he?

Edwards: “Perhaps the Greatest Short-Term Threat to World Peace Is the Possibility That Israel Would Bomb Iran’s Nuclear Facilities”

(ME) My God people again, I’m reading crazy shit like this, now from Edwards and I keep asking myself, is the stupidity DNA gene in all Democrats?
I’m speechless. I knew after watching him on a recent Meet the Press he was a moron but the more dude speaks I’m convinced that he is mildly retarded. READ ON…

Hillary Spot reader Michael points out this little gem in Peter Bart’s column on John Edwards’ comments in Hollywood:

There are other emerging fissures, as well. The aggressively photogenic John Edwards was cruising along, detailing his litany of liberal causes last week until, during question time, he invoked the “I” word — Israel. Perhaps the greatest short-term threat to world peace, Edwards remarked, was the possibility that Israel would bomb Iran’s nuclear facilities. As a chill descended on the gathering, the Edwards event was brought to a polite close.

Really? Israel is the biggest threat? Not Ahmedinijad? Not al-Qaeda? Not a coup attempt in Pakistan? Not a complete breakdown in Iraq drawing in the Saudis, Turks, and Iranians?

Or, you know, perhaps not.

Oh more on the Edwards clan…

Who Recommended Those Bloggers to John Edwards?

William Beutler makes the case that Elizabeth Edwards, the wife of the candidate, was behind the hiring of the two controversial bloggers who resigned. The piece is a little speculative for my tastes, but if anyone’s wondering “why didn’t they vet those two more thoroughly,” Beutler’s theory might explain things.

Obama’s blackness subject of debate

Tuesday, February 20th, 2007
pimpride2.JPGPeople across the political and racial spectrums started discussing Presidential candidate and Illinois Sen. Barack Obama’s race after he spoke at the 2004 Democratic National Convention.

Some insist he is not African American and is unsuited to be a black candidate, because he is not a direct descendant of slaves and hasn’t had what they see as an authentic African American experience. WTF!

Read the rest, but why bother.

Ya wanna know if dude is black enough; have him drive his black ass through Beverly Hills or some other upscale white neighborhood blasting Three Six Mafia tunes in a freshly pimped out 66 Impala.
Or better yet a beat to hell old Ford Pinto decked out in body primer.

This “not black enough” shit is so fucken stupid. Stories like really highlights the utter stupidity of some folks in the media.

Al Gore wants to turn the Antarctica into a concert arena

Tuesday, February 20th, 2007
gore1.jpg Los Angeles, CA (AHN) - Al Gore has joined forces with top music artists, organizers and “green” activists to bring awareness to the crisis surrounding climate change. The former vice president has announced that a concert lineup called Live Earth will take place on seven continents for one day only - July 7.

Gore, who was featured in the highly acclaimed documentary “An Inconvenient Truth” about global warming, is hoping the one-of-a-kind concert will reach more than a billion people, either by those at the event or through televised, radio and internet broadcasts.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Snoop Dogg, Bon Jovi, Duran Duran, the Black Eyes Peas, Enrique Iglesias, John Mayer and Lenny Kravitz are just a few of the performers expected to showcase the concert of more than 100 artists.

The live event will hit the stage of seven continents including Europe, North America, Africa and even Antarctica. Cities have already been announced in China, South Africa and Australia and more are expected in Brazil, United States and Japan.

In a statement, the environmental leader said, “In order to solve the climate crisis, we have to reach billions of people. The climate crisis will only be stopped by an unprecedented and sustained global movement.”

Save Our Selves - The Campaign For A Climate In Crisis is helping the former president spread his message at the event.

The Alliance For Climate Protection will work with Gore to create a foundation to address the issues of climate change. Proceeds of the concert will go towards the funding of the foundation.

Meanwhile, “An Inconvenient Truth” has been nominated for as Oscar. The winner for best documentary will be revealed on February 25.

This is so retarded. Idiot Politicians like Gore and musicians must be the last people on this planet I would ever take advice from, and now they will create lots of c02, spend millions of dollars so they can give me this fucken advice from Antarctica!?

Man I swear sometime while blogging I go to so many sites checking out news stories and blog sites to see what I feel like posting and when I come upon stories like this I feel like I’m being duped, that someone is planting fake stories about liberal bullshit so I can take the bait and post on my blog.
Liberals do and say so much stupid shit and come up with so many of these crazy schemes my head spins trying to process it all.
