Sphere: Related ContentChuck Hagel, the pompous, overbearing, media-loving RINO Senator from Nebraska (once again) took an opportunity to slam the Bush administration, but his comments belie his ignorance.
He notes that having people with a military background is important, and the only one with that in the Bush administration was Colin Powell, “the one person they listened to least.”
Yeah Chuck, I guess this doesn’t count as military experience, does it?
Mr. Rumsfeld attended Princeton University on academic and NROTC scholarships (A.B., 1954) and served in the U.S. Navy (1954-57) as an aviator and flight instructor. In 1957, he transferred to the Ready Reserve and continued his Naval service in flying and administrative assignments as a drilling reservist until 1975. He transferred to the Standby Reserve when he became Secretary of Defense in 1975 and to the Retired Reserve with the rank of Captain in 1989.
But this is Chuck Hagel we’re talking about here. Facts don’t matter. Only slamming Republicans does.
I admire and respect Hagel for his military service. But as a Senator, he’s a disaster, especially when it comes to Iraq. Keep reading those polls Chuck. I’m sure Hardball and Meet The Press will keep you on speed-dial.

But basing my criticisms of George Bush on facts takes too much effort. And it isn’t as if my audience cares whether my criticisms of him are based on facts or not so why should I bother? Silly Snoop.
