Tin Foil Hat Award for Crazy Conspiracy Theories

Thursday, December 21st, 2006

From Media Research Center’s site

tinfoil.jpg

Anchor Katie Couric: “Gas is the lowest it’s been all year, a nationwide average of $2.23 a gallon. It hasn’t been that low since last Christmas. But is this an election-year present from President Bush to fellow Republicans?”
Reporter Anthony Mason: “…Gas started going down just as the fall campaign started heating up. Coincidence? Some drivers don’t think so.”
Man in a car: “And I think it’s basically a ploy to sort of get the American people to think, well, the economy is going good, let’s vote Republican.”
— CBS Evening News, October 16. As Mason spoke, the camera zoomed in on the driver’s bumper sticker, “GOP: Grand Oil Party.”

Runners-up:

ABC’s Steve Osunsami: “In many black neighborhoods, they actually believe that white residents sent the barge that destroyed the levee and flooded their communities.”
Unidentified black man, in HBO’s film by Spike Lee: “They had a bomb. They bombed that sucker.”
Osunsami: “To this day, the conspiracy theories are so widely held, director Spike Lee put them on film….”
Spike Lee, director: “As an African-American in this country, I don’t put anything past the government.”
— ABC’s World News with Charles Gibson, August 29.
“The last time we got a tape from Osama bin Laden was right before the 2004 presidential election. Now here we are, four days away from hearings starting in Washington into the wiretapping of America’s telephones without bothering to get a court order or a warrant, and up pops another tape from Osama bin Laden. Coincidence? Who knows.”
— CNN’s Jack Cafferty during the 4pm EST hour of The Situation Room, January 19.

“Late in the same week that an NSA whistleblower suggests the illicit tapping of American phones is thousands of times larger and thousands of times less focused than the President claims, suddenly we have FBI sources linking stories about Middle Easterners trying to buy vast quantities of untraceable, disposable American cell phones from K-Marts and Target stores. Which, if true, makes the wiretapping look like a good idea and its leakers look like they’ve already helped terrorists outsmart the eavesdropping. Boy, you can’t buy timing like that. I mean it. I’m asking seriously, you can’t buy timing like that, right?…We’ll never know for sure if that is or is not just an amazing coincidence that it falls right after the whole NSA whistleblower issue comes up but, as we had pointed out here before, the administration sure gets a lot of these breaks.”
— MSNBC’s Keith Olbermann to Time reporter Mike Allen on the January 13 Countdown.

These are some dumb ass people, and to think what these people get paid to be that stupid is just beyond amazing.

Report Says Berger Hid Archive Documents

Thursday, December 21st, 2006

sandy_burgler.jpgWASHINGTON (AP) - Former national security adviser Sandy Berger removed classified documents from the National Archives in 2003 and hid them under a construction trailer, the Archives inspector general reported Wednesday.

The report was issued more than a year after Berger pleaded guilty and received a criminal sentence for removal of the documents.

Inspector General Paul Brachfeld reported that when Berger was confronted by Archives officials about the missing documents, he said it was possible he threw them in his office trash.

The report said that when Archives employees first suspected that Berger - who had been President Clinton’s national security adviser - was removing classified documents from the Archives in the fall of 2003, they failed to notify any law enforcement agency.

Berger, who pleaded guilty to unlawfully removing and retaining classified documents, was fined $50,000, ordered to perform 100 hours of community service and was barred from access to classified material for three years.

The report said that when Berger was reviewing the classified documents in the Archives building a few blocks from the Capitol, employees saw him bending down and fiddling with something white, which could have been paper, around his ankle.

However, Archives employees did not feel at the time there was enough information to confront someone of Berger’s stature, the report said.

Brachfeld reported that on one visit, Berger took a break to go outside without an escort.

“In total, during this visit, he removed four documents … .

“Mr. Berger said he placed the documents under a trailer in an accessible construction area outside Archives 1 (the main Archives building).”

Berger acknowledged that he later retrieved the documents from the construction area and returned with them to his office.

Berger, with the authorization of former President Clinton, was reviewing National Security Council documents on Osama bin Laden and al-Qaida, Sudan, and related presidential correspondence. The review was to facilitate Berger’s impending testimony before the House and Senate intelligence committees.

MORE in case you DEMOCRATS forgot…

Former Clinton administration national security advisor Samuel “Sandy” Berger was caught smuggling classified terrorism-related documents out of the National Archives last year. On 8 September 2005 federal Magistrate Judge Deborah A. Robinson ordered Berger to pay a $50,000 fine as well as $6,905 in administrative costs, give up his security clearance for three years, serve a two year probation, and perform 100 hours of community service as penalty for smuggling classified documents back in 2003. Death Penalty Insanity

Thursday, December 21st, 2006

From the blog, Pardon My English

dexter2.jpgOtherwise known as allowing a bunch of human debris to sit on death row while we wring our hands and whine about how “cruel and unusual” their deaths might be.

The anti-death penalty nuts wildest dreams seem to be coming true in the past few days as all this hype over the killing of killers is coming to a head, mostly in Florida and California.

SAN FRANCISCO — Faced with grim testimony of poorly trained executioners operating in cramped, dimly lit quarters, a federal judge declared California’s execution procedure unconstitutional.
The state’s “implementation of lethal injection is broken, but it can be fixed,” U.S. District Judge Jeremy Fogel ruled Friday in San Jose, extending a moratorium on executions in the nation’s most populous state.

The decision is the latest in a nationwide challenge to lethal injection — the preferred execution method in 37 states — and came as Florida Gov. Jeb Bush suspended all executions there after a bungled execution this week. Missouri’s injection method, which is similar to California’s, was declared unconstitutional last month by a federal judge.

Fogel said the California case raised the question of whether the three execution drugs administered by the San Quentin State Prison are so painful that they “offend” the ban on cruel and unusual punishment. He said he was compelled “to answer that question in the affirmative.”

The thing that “offends” me and should offend everyone is that we are actually contemplating with a straight face the “pain” that some vile shred of human debris — in most cases a hideous killer — will face. Why should we care about the way these vile pieces of crap die when they take the lives of innocents in the most brutal and despicable ways? To wit:

• Despite his professions of innocence, did Angel Diaz or his accomplices have any thought for the life of the strip club manager they killed in 1979 or the pain his family suffered due to his death? I don’t really care that his accomplice ratted on him and got life for it — as far as I’m concerned he should have fried as well.

• Did Michael Morales, the rapist and murderer whose execution was stayed last February by the same federal judge who ruled California’s death penalty to be unconstitutional last week, care about the terror, pain and agony he inflicted on his 17-year-old victim?

• Did Joseph Edward Duncan care about the terror and agony he inflicted upon little Dylan Groene or the permanent psychological damage his sister Shasta will carry around with her for the rest of her life due to the terror Duncan inflicted upon her? How can we bring back the family this walking piece of garbage took away from this little girl?

• Did John Evander Couey give one thought to the horror, terror, and pain he inflicted upon Jessica Lunsford as he repeatedly raped her and stuffed her in a plastic bag, then stuffed her in a hole to suffocate.

These examples go on and on, making the notion that we should actually care about the manner in which we put these heinous criminals to death – the way in which we mete out the only type of justice possible for these types of crimes – absolutely absurd. It only serves to show the utter insanity of the state of crime and punishment in our society.

DITTO! Could not have said it any better.

Miss Teen USA Katie “skank” Blair Dumped by MADD

Thursday, December 21st, 2006

Katie_Blair.jpg

Miss USA Tara Conner may have survived to reign another day, but at least one organization thinks that she’s tainted the image of “little sister” Miss Teen USA Katie Blair, and is cutting ties with Blair as a result. Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) announced Wednesday that it has ended its relationship with Blair, saying in a statement, “We do not feel, at this time, that Ms. Blair can be an effective spokesperson on underage drinking and will not ask her to represent MADD in future initiatives.”

I have been reading numerous blogs with Women commenting on the Miss USA thing and most of them backing the skank.
I don’t get this, skank hoe behavior is being rewarded by apparently more and more women.
But now you have MADD saying screw that, this Teen skank is not representative of what we stand for and our mission. Good for them.

Rosie Slams Trump, The Donald Fires Back

Thursday, December 21st, 2006

jabba2a1.JPGRosie O’Donnell had some fiery words for Donald Trump on The View Wednesday morning, calling him a “snake-oil salesman” following his announcement that he would not fire troubled Miss USA Tara Conner.

After hearing about her comments, Trump fired back to PEOPLE, calling her “a woman out of control” and saying he planned to sue O’Donnell over her statements questioning his financial well-being.

“You can’t make false statements,” Trump tells PEOPLE exclusively. “Rosie will rue the words she said. I’ll most likely sue her for making those false statements – and it’ll be fun. Rosie’s a loser. A real loser. I look forward to taking lots of money from my nice fat little Rosie.”

READ THE REST, But I have one question. I keep reading that this fat bitch is supposed to be “hugely” popular on the View.
I’m trying to grasp what is likeable about her. She is a complete and utter ass.
I don’t know, are the people who like her, a bunch of hormonally challenged women with severe emotionally depressive tendencies?
Man the View is continuing to deteriorate. With that other stupid fuck Behar and Rosie’s daily antics Barbara Wa Wa must be real proud.

Katie Couric Lashes Out at ‘Vultures’

Thursday, December 21st, 2006

Katie.jpgKatie Couric admits that her new gig as anchor of the CBS Evening News has been “a little harder than I thought it would be.”

“Some people out there are rooting for me to fail,”

SNOOP RANT: No Katie you got it all wrong, we are not rooting for you to fail, but people who are more right leaning are sick and tired of more TV Democrat Party ass kissers who can’t do one simple thing. DELIVER THE FUCKEN NEWS, without spin, and bias and hearing your fucken opinions.
We all know most of the media is leftist and we accept that, but most of America is tired of getting this bias rammed down our collective throats.

Oh and one more thing….your voice is irritating. It was ok when you were doing a morning show and the “perky” Katie thing, but delivering serious evening news that tis another matter.
Now this is not to say a woman can’t do it, (Elizabeth Vargas ABC and Carole Simpson back in the day). It’s the voice.
Talk show yes, morning show fine, evening news NO!

Couric, 49, tells Esquire in its January issue. “You have to be unwavering in your convictions that you’re doing something good, because there are a lot of circling vultures that will eat you alive.”

Couric points out that Esquire itself criticized her after her Sept. 5 debut. “You guys even take a shot at me,” she tells the magazine. “You have something in the November issue, something about how since I’ve become an anchor, you don’t know me anymore. You don’t know me anymore? Bite me.”

Not that there isn’t an upside to the new gig. “I sleep a little later, but I’m busier than ever,” Couric tells PEOPLE in its new issue. “I now get to make pancakes or scrambled eggs for my daughters (Ellie, 15, and Carrie, 10) in the morning, though some days I can’t get it together and we have cold cereal.”

School accuses 5-year-old of sex harassment

Thursday, December 21st, 2006

littlebilly150.gifby ERIN CUNNINGHAM - Hearld-Mail.com
HAGERSTOWN - A kindergarten student was accused earlier this month of sexually harassing a classmate at Lincolnshire Elementary School, an accusation that will remain on his record until he moves to middle school.

Washington County Public Schools spokeswoman Carol Mowen said the definition of sexual harassment used by the school system is, “unwelcome sexual advances, request for sexual favors and/or other inappropriate verbal, written or physical conduct of a sexual nature directed toward others.”

Mowen said that definition comes from the Maryland State Department of Education.

According to a school document provided by the boy’s father, the 5-year-old pinched a girl’s buttocks on Dec. 8 in a hallway at the school south of Hagerstown.

Charles Vallance, the boy’s father, said he was unable to explain to his son what he had done.

“He knows nothing about sex,” Vallance said. “There’s no way to explain what he’s been written up for. He knows it as playing around. He doesn’t know it as anything sexual at all.”

The incident was described as “sexual harassment” on the school form.

School officials consider a student’s age and the specific action when determining what administrative action to take, Mowen said.

Lincolnshire Principal Darlene Teach and Mowen said they were unable to discuss he incident involving the Lincolnshire student.

Teach said any student, regardless of grade level, can be cited for sexual harassment.

“Anytime a student touches another student inappropriately, it could be sexual harassment,” Teach said.

School administrators at a Texas school in November suspended a 4-year-old student for inappropriately touching a teacher’s aide after the prekindergarten student hugged the woman.

“It’s important to understand a child may not realize that what he or she is doing may be considered sexual harassment, but if it fits under the definition, then it is, under the state’s guidelines,” Mowen said. “If someone has been told this person does not want this type of touching, it doesn’t matter if it’s at work or at school, that’s sexual harassment.”

The incident will be included in the boy’s file while he remains at Lincolnshire, but Mowen said those files do not follow students when they move on to middle school.

She described the incident as a “learning opportunity.”

During the 2005-06 school year, 28 kindergarten students in Maryland were suspended for sex offenses, including sexual assault, sexual harassment and sexual activity, according to state data. Fifteen of those suspensions were for sexual harassment.

During the 2005-06 school year, one Washington County prekindergarten student was suspended from school, and 12 of the county’s kindergartners were suspended for various offenses, according to state data.

Racial profiling

Wednesday, December 20th, 2006

immans.jpgBy Walter E. Williams - Townhall.com
Charges of racial, religious and ethnic profiling swirl in the wake of US Airways’ removal of six imams. According to police reports, the men made anti-American statements, were praying and chanting “Allah,” refused the pilot’s requests to disembark for additional screening and asked for seat-belt extensions for no obvious reason. Three of the men had no checked baggage and only one-way tickets.

According to the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), five of the men have retained lawyers and are probably going to bring a discrimination lawsuit against US Airways.

Racial profiling controversy is nothing new. For a number of years, black Americans have made charges of racial profiling by police and store personnel who might give them extra scrutiny. Clever phrases have emerged, such as “driving while black” and now “flying while Muslim,” but they don’t help much in terms of understanding. Let’s apply some economic analysis to the issue.

God, or some other omniscient being, would never racially profile. Why? Since He is all-knowing, He’d know who is and is not a terrorist or a criminal. We humans are not all-knowing. While a god would have perfect and complete information about everything, we humans have less than perfect and incomplete information. That means we must use substitutes such as guesses and hunches for certain kinds of information. It turns out that some physical attributes are highly correlated with other attributes that are less easily, or more costly, observed.

Let’s look at a few, and the associated “profiling,” that cause little or no controversy. Mortality rates for cardiovascular diseases were approximately 30 percent higher among black adults than among white adults. The Pima Indians of Arizona have the world’s highest known diabetes rates. Prostate cancer is nearly twice as common among black men as white men. Would anyone bring racial profiling charges against a doctor who routinely ordered more frequent blood tests and prostate screening among his black patients and more glucose tolerance tests for his Pima Indian patients? Of course, God wouldn’t have to do that because He’d know for sure which patient was more prone to cardiovascular disease, prostate cancer and diabetes.

It is clear, whether we like it or not, or want to say it or not, that there is a strong correlation between terrorist acts and being a Muslim, and being black and high rates of crime. That means if one is trying to deter terrorism and in some cases capture a criminal, he would expend greater investigatory resources on Muslims and blacks. A law-abiding Muslim who’s given extra airport screening or a black who’s stopped by the police is perfectly justified in being angry, but with whom should he be angry? I think a Muslim should be angry with those who’ve made terrorism and Muslim synonymous and blacks angry with those who’ve made blacks and crime synonymous. The latter is my response to the insulting sounds of car doors locking sometimes when I’m crossing a street in downtown Washington, D.C., or when taxi drivers pass me by.

It would be a serious misallocation of resources if airport security intensively screened everyone. After all, intensively screening someone who had a near zero probability of being a terrorist, such as an 80-year-old woman using a walker, would not only be a waste but it would take resources away from screening a person with a much higher probability of being a terrorist.

You say, “Williams, are you justifying religious and racial profiling?” No. I’m not justifying anything any more than I’d try to justify Einstein’s special law of relativity. I’m trying to explain a phenomenon. By the way, I think some of the airport screening is grossly stupid, but I’m at peace with the Transportation Security Administration. They have their rules, and I have mine. One of mine is to minimize my association with idiocy. Thus, I no longer fly commercial.

“Santa Claus does not exist” says school

Wednesday, December 20th, 2006

FatSantaG.jpg

Article Link - From this is London

A primary school has been accused of spoiling Christmas for pupils after a lesson telling them that Santa Claus does not exist.

Children as young as nine were told that only ’small children believe in Father Christmas’.

And yesterday their parents criticised teachers for taking the ‘magic’ out of the festive period.

The blunder came after the Year 5 pupils were given seasonal worksheets containing various festive classroom exercises.

One began by informing the children that ‘many small children believe in Father Christmas’.

It then went on to explain that thousands of letters sent by these children to Santa every year are actually answered by the Post Office.

The youngsters were then asked to write a pretend letter from the Post Office to a child explaining why their requests for presents had been refused.

Now Ladysmith Junior School in Exeter, Devon, is accused of taking a decision that should have been made by the parents themselves.

One father-of-two, who asked not to be named, said: “My wife and I make a special effort to keep the belief in Santa in our daughter’s mind as we believe it adds to the magic of Christmas for her and her four-year-old brother.

“We even recall her shaking with excitement some years ago when sat at the bottom of our bed rummaging through her stocking.

“What gives the school the right to decide when children should know the truth about such a harmless matter when knowing the truth does take away that little bit of magic?”

“She’ll probably figure it out soon enough anyway, but we might have had one last Christmas without her knowing if it hadn’t been for the school.”

Yesterday the headmistress of the 460-pupil school said she had written to families to apologise and assured them the lesson will not be taught again.

Jackie Jackson said: “Having three children myself, I understand how parents feel.

“The last thing we wanted to do was take away the positive and magical side of Christmas and I have wished all the families a happy time.”

She continued: “We can’t go back and undo this but I have written to all the families to apologise. It was very unfortunate and a bad mistake. We are not in the business of shattering children’s dreams.”

Yesterday a spokesman for the Royal Mail confirmed it receives around 750,000 letters for Father Christmas from children around the UK every year.

He said: “They are all forwarded to Santa and we also send a special reply.”

The worksheet was taken from the Internet and created by educational charity, the Hamilton Trust.

Yesterday the trust’s director Ruth Merttens, defended the content.

She said: “I feel sorry for the teacher concerned.

“But we produce the worksheets and it is up to teachers how they use them in class.”

She added: “I don’t want to upset anybody but I would say by the age of ten it seems unlikely that a child wouldn’t be aware of Santa’s imaginary nature.”

Last week a primary school teacher was sacked for telling her young class that Santa does not exist.

The supply teacher apparently decided the pupils - some as young as nine - were too old to believe in Father Christmas.

The teacher, who has not been named, is believed to have told the class at Boldmere Junior School, in Sutton Coldfield, West Midlands: “All of you are old enough to know there is no Father Christmas or fairies.

If you ask your parents to tell you they will say there is no such thing.

Amanda Piovesana, whose daughter is in Year 5, said: “I am upset because it has taken away a magical part of Christmas for my daughter and a teacher should not have the right to do that. My little girl was very upset.”

At yet another school, pupils went home in tears after being told Father Christmas does not exist by a teacher who was telling a class of nine-year-olds how Christmas is celebrated across the world.

Angry parents at Calcot Junior School in Berkshire said the teacher had ‘ruined’ Christmas for their children.

Mel Barefield, whose son was in the lesson, said: ‘The teacher had said to them that Father Christmas wasn’t real, Rudolph was a cartoon character and that Christmas trees come from Germany.’

A governor said: ‘It’s not just Father Christmas that’s the problem. We also have issues with things like the Tooth Fairy.

‘From now on when a child asks if Father Christmas exists the teacher should say, “I’m not sure. Go home and ask your parents”‘.santa1.jpg

Rachel McGauley, 29, whose eight-year-old daughter Shannon is in Year 4 at the school, said: “It is very bad.

“As parents it is for us to decide when we tell our children and some of the parents in that class could have got away with it for another year and now they can’t.

“I just hope my little girl does not twig because she is in the year below.”

Sam Horne, whose children Keiron, eight, and six-year-old Charlotte attend the school, said: “Mine still believe in Father Christmas, and when I was a kid I did not find out until I was about eleven.

“It is like a loss of innocence. Children should have the right to stay innocent for as long as possible.”

In a statement issued through the local Education Authority, Devon County Council, head Mrs Jackie Jackson added: “The choice of this worksheet was a genuine mistake by a teacher which we are all very sad about.

“As a school we delight in the magic of childhood and believe that Christmas is a very special time.

“In the last week the children have been enjoying carol singing and a Christmas fair and, in the true spirit of the season, raising money for children at the Ugandan school which we support.

I have apologised to the parents and this worksheet will never be used in the school again.”

*WARNING SNOOP RANT*

Thank goodness nobody reads my blog or I would get death threats… :-)

I can here some of you barking at your computer screens. The school should not have  made the announcement, but there is a larger issue.

My brother told me there was no Santa Claus when I was five or six.

On one Christmas eve I was trying to stay awake in anticipation of the arrival of this mythical old fat white guy.
My brother who himself got up in the middle of the night to get something to drink saw me lying on the floor near the Christmas tree.
His simple words “boy go to bed, there is no Santa Claus.”

He was 14 or so and frankly he saved me a great deal of anguish and worry.

It is flat cruel to lie to kids and tell them of some mythical fat man who brings presents.
Upon hearing my brothers’ seemingly harsh words it hit me almost immediately.
In a prior Christmas I had not received some requested items although I was the model child.

My friend Darrell down the street, typically the mean bully, brooding sort, always in trouble, constantly being grounded by his parents was rewarded a motorized car for Christmas. I distinctly remember felling, frankly pretty fucked up.
I never complained I just went on hoping that the next Christmas I would be justly rewarded, hence me staying up all night to show my loyalty and my belief in the fat white guy.

My brother in many ways liberated me. After that I focused on the fact that my parents were the real bearers of gifts and it helped me appreciate what I received even more, though sometimes I may not get exactly what I want I certainly knew they would try their best at making me happy.

Any level thinking individual would clearly see that propping up this imaginary figure is neither healthy nor logical.

This particular Christmas my youngest daughter is struggling financially and is unable to provide her daughter with lets just say a “quality” Christmas in her eyes.
Now most of her issues are her own doing, most are stupid things that most young girls get into and do to fuck up their own lives.
santa2.jpgHowever the bottom line is how someone would even begin to explain to her little girl that the fat old white guy in the red suit cares more about one child over another.
It’s not her fault her mother has screwed some things up, and Santa sure as hell is not willing or capable of filling that void.

Santa Claus frankly is one fantasy that frankly is set-up for ultimate disappointment.
The other reason for failure is that society has commercialized this mythical figure.
If the only time you saw Santa was on one magical evening then the legend would have some wow factor.

But now Santa is ringing bells in front of Walmart, at the photo studios, “selling” diamonds, cars, toys (I though he gave that shit away?)
Santa is on every cartoon, television show and billboard. There is nothing mythical or magical about him.

Anybody who continues to forward the myth frankly does not think very much of their children.

Society is already made up of a bunch of lying pricks. Why start out your relationship with your precious child with a boldface and cruel lie?
It simply make no sense to me.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Are Black men screwed? Sure looks that way to me…

Tuesday, December 19th, 2006

frederick-douglass.jpgMan, my obsessive compulsive side is showing.

I’m looking at my blog and I am examining what posts I have up and there is a lot of racial stuff going on here. I’m not sure if it is subconscious or not but processing the issues of black and in particular black men has been growing on me for quite some time.

The post I have below “Black Pathologies and Unemployment” I think really made me focus on the issues of black men a bit more than normal.
My gut feelings are still the same. Black men are an endangered species, we have a very bleak future ahead and I frankly don’t think there is a damn thing we can do about it.

I had to first process and think about all of the positive black male role models in my life and unfortunately there are way too few. My grandfather Deacon H, was a strong pillar in the community, one of the founding fathers of a church, pretty successful in his work life before he passed, raised a decent family, and was the first black man I remember
being addressed as sir by white men.   I loved and honored him, and
still do.

My father, though crazy now that he is older, was a successful business man, had a successful work life, was a strong presence, and was a flawed but decent dude.

My two brothers are strong family role models for their children, have good work ethics, and are good decent people. My middle brother is former Navy and my older brother is a Minister.

I also had to process my black male friends and the quality of those individuals.

Many of my best friendships were from my Air Force days.  Tim, Vic, Bobby, Wayne, Fred and a host of others all are doing well, have great kids who are on the straight and narrow, good fathers and simply good people.

I continue to process about this and it never occurred to me before now that I NEVER had a black male teacher and only six black teachers during my entire K-12 days.  Keep in mind I was born in Los Angeles, raised in Oaktown and finished school in Alabama. Surely I should have had a few black male teachers in all that time?!  There was one black assistant coach in Baseball, but that was it.

During my military days, I did have a black male drill sergeant that I greatly respected and a black male commanding officer during tech school.

After my military days my first civilian boss was a black woman to whom I owe quite of bit of my success to, but no significant black men as co-workers or community acquaintances.

I served on countless boards and community bodies and I was the only black male on all but one, the school desegregation committee.

The community I live in you can go an entire week and not see any black people, not counting my female co-worker.

I once bitched and moaned that you could not find any black folks working in the community and since then Best Buy has hired a few black folks and a couple of restaurants have a couple of black women employed.

While thinking about this post for the hell of it I turned on the TV and scanned through all the cable channels available to me to see how many black men I see. The results only further depressed me.

Out of 90 of so channels the only example of black men were:

  • A McDonalds commercial where this black dude get a McDonalds gift card.
I saw this commercial 3 times!
  • A Moesha commercial, a bunch of takes of folks acting silly.  This show did win several image awards but if you judge it by the commercial it looks like simple silly Negro buffoonery.
  • Sports center - Negro athletes.
  • Spin City - The gay black dude.
  • The Wayans Brothers, I kinda like the show but more Negro buffoonery.
  • Maury, but thank God he had white trash on his show at the time I peeped and the black men were bodyguards.

Thank God for Grey’s Anatomy, ER, and the CSI’s decent black dudes not being portrayed as gang banging, gold “toofus” buffoons’.

I’m 43 years old and I see immense societal canyon black men have been placed partly because of our history, partly because of racism, and some at our own hands and minds.

Below is a post “Are Black Men Retarded” that highlights some of our own failings.
I’m thinking the young black men today are screwed and I’m not sure there is a damn thing we can do about it.

If I had the money and the media access maybe I could attempt to make a dent.

But who am I, this issue must not be that important otherwise there would be far more black media types (Oprah), Black actors, politicians and businessmen dealing with the issue.

All my Brotha’s eatin’ chicken and watermelon, talk broken English and drug sellin’ See I’m tellin’ and teaching real facts. The way some act in rap is kinda wack.
(”My Philosophy” -Boogie Down Productions)

Every family has one, that cousin who got stuck in a 1980’s time warp and just refused to grow up. You see him at every family reunion walking around in a Members Only jacket with a 40 ounce braggin’ about how he has 10 children by 10 different women and is too smooth to pay child support. While the rest of the grown folks slip away to the family room to discuss important family business, Cousin ‘Junior’ stays outback with the children trying to do the Cabbage Patch off of the Whisper Song, not much different than what he was doing 20 years ago….

If we look in the dictionary, we will see the definition of retarded as ’slow or backwards in mental or emotional development ‘ along with a big picture of one of the Ying Yang twins. While the off the chain behavior of some Brotha’s has been discussed in detail by some of our greatest scholar’s such as Dr. Frances Cress Welsing, this issue is rarely discussed in a Hip Hop-centric context.

Historically, white supremacy has made it virtually impossible for Black boys to become Black men. Back in tha day (and even now in a small town just south of Tupelo, Mississippi) it was common for 70 year old Black men to be called ‘boy’ by 10 year old white children. The system has put so many obstacles in our way that it is hard to live up to the basic meaning of manhood: one who provides food, clothing, shelter and security for his family. So much so that many Black men choose to live in a perpetual childhood instead of risking the wrath of white supremacy by asserting their manhood. This is why, in 2005, we see that our development has gone way beyond being arrested; it is on major lockdown.

So today, you have 35 year old men acting like they are 14 year old teenie boppers. They may not be going around singing that jingle from the commercial from back in tha day ‘I don’t want to grow up, I’m a Toys R Us kid, but they are singing the Hip Hop remix, ‘It’s plain to see, you can’t change me cuz I’m a be a nigga for life…’
While back in the day a rapper was shipped off to the Happy Valley Hip Hop Retirement Home on his 21st birthday, thanks to the industry’s potent Hip Hop viagra, a rapper can still be pimpin’ all over the world well into his 40’s. So the natural progression to manhood has been altered.

While many Brotha’s come into the rap game in their late teens with the ‘product of my environment/ just keepin’ it real like it is on tha streets’ excuse,’ it becomes problematic when the 18 year old kid becomes a 33 year old multimillioniare who has traveled the world several times over but still kicks lyrics about standin’ on tha block with a 40oz, hollerin’ at ho’s. There is something very wrong in a society when in 2005, Snoop Dog is talking about virtually the same thing he talked about in 1992.

Also, problematic is the ’school yard brawl’ mentality where instead of threatening to beat someone up after 6th period woodshop class, grown men like 50 cent and the Game threaten to annihilate each other if they cross paths in the hotel lobby after the after party.

Most disturbing is the crunk music coming out of the Dirty South which has done more to destroy Black manhood than when JJ Evans from Good Times was running around in those red pajama’s screaming ‘Kid Dy-no-mite !!!’ With few exceptions, like Durham’s ‘Street Ambassador’ Crown King, who is developing a sound called ‘Conscious C.R.U.N.K. (Consciousness Raising Unleashing Nubian Knowledge) the subject matter is pretty much the same. It usually doesn’t go much deeper than a Brotha threatening to shoot another Brotha over a parking space in front of the strip club or a Brotha whispering to a Sista like some sick pervert calling one of those 900 numbers at 3 in the morning threatening to do things to her that are illegal in most states. (Wait till ya see my…..OOOOh!!!)
This Father’s Day, in communities across the country, Black men should join together and put a mandatory age limit on actin’ the darn fool. We must develop a Rites of Passage for the Hip Hop Generation that doesn’t include a 10 year bid in the federal pen.

Just as in some countries every male is required to serve in the military, we should require every Black man to do a tour of duty in the Afrikan Liberation Army (or at least enlist in the Hip Hop DROP Squad). Also we must join efforts to emancipate ourselves from mental slavery, like Bro. Sile, National Chairman of the RBG SOULdiers, is doing with the Take Back Black Music Campaign.
We, as Black men, must join together and boldly proclaim the words of Eldridge Cleaver, [We shall have our manhood or the earth will be leveled by our attempts to gain it!]

Holding NBA Negros accountable

Tuesday, December 19th, 2006

 stern.jpg

David Stern won’t stand for being embarrassed — by his players or his teams. So he came down hard on both Monday, suspending NBA scoring leader Carmelo Anthony 15 games and fining the Knicks and Nuggets an unprecedented $500,000 apiece after their brawl Saturday night.

And he’ll do it again if he has to.

“I am going to start holding our teams accountable for the actions of their players and other employees,” the commissioner said. “What I’m saying is if you continue to employee employees who engage in these actions, your organization is going to have to pay a price even beyond the suspensions that are involved here.”

Read full story is you want but why bother..

As far as I’m concerned he is right and he need to hold these thug ass Negros accountable for their actions and more importantly the teams that employs these thugs.
If you are going to be paid millions of dollars to put a round thing in a hoop the least you can do is be respectable and act like you have some fucken sense.

I think I’m becoming more and more intolerant of black folks doing stupid shit because like it or not it affects all of us.
You can’t expect young black boys to do right when the only Negros they see on TV act like a bunch of ghetto jackasses.

Trump to Miss USA Skank: You get a second chance

Tuesday, December 19th, 2006

tara.jpgNEW YORK (Reuters) - Miss USA 2006 was given a second chance on Tuesday by billionaire Donald Trump who came close to firing her after reported misbehavior.

Instead, Trump, co-owner of the [tag]Miss USA[/tag] and Miss Universe contests, said Conner would go into a rehabilitation program for an unspecified problem and would not be stripped of her Miss USA title.

Media reports of blond beauty queen Conner partying at bars and nightclubs in New York — where the legal drinking age is 21 — began surfacing last week. The former Miss Kentucky USA turned 21 on Monday.

It was widely expected that [tag]Trump[/tag], host of the television reality show “The Apprentice,” would fire Conner.

“Tara is going to be given a second chance,” Trump told a news conference gathered to find out the fate of the blond beauty queen. “Tara got caught up in the whirlwind of New York.”

***

This is such bullshit. Another white blond skank gets a societal free pass.

With all the young women in the world, who work hard, do well in school, stay out of trouble, keep hoe tendencies in check, is not pregnant nor has sucked any babies out.

Young women who are mature, responsible upstanding citizens and students, none of these women are rewarded by Trump letting this skank off the hook and not firing her shallow ass.

Miss USA/America whatever is suppose to highlight the best that American has to offer in highlighting young women.
However Trump would rather promote this bar hopping, retarded skank and tell the rest of the young women in America, fuck it, be a bar hopping, idiot drunk and screw your responsibilities.

Rich bastards like me will still reward you as long as your tits are not sagging and you look good in a tight dress.

Mrs. “Liar” Rodham

Tuesday, December 19th, 2006

hillary3.jpgI did not get a chance to post this yesterday, but when I first read about this all I could do is laugh as
Presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton, who seems to have gradually been distancing herself from her 2002 vote to use force against Saddam Hussein.
Unlike Sen. John Kerry and former Sen. John Edwards, both of whom have publicly declared their regret over the same vote, Clinton has never said she would have voted differently until now.
On the ABC News blog and countless other sources reported her tactical change.

Clinton has often been asked if she regrets her vote authorizing military action and she usually answers that question with an artful dodge, saying that she accepts responsibility for the vote and suggesting that if the Senate had all the information it has today (no WMD, troubled post-war military planning, etc. . .), there would never have been a vote on the Senate floor.

However Monday on the Today Show, Sen. Clinton was asked about her 2002 vote and offered a slightly evolved answer.

”Obviously, if we knew then what we know now, there wouldn’t have been a vote,” she said in her usual refrain before adding, “and I certainly wouldn’t have voted that way.”

Sen. Clinton’s biggest rival for the Democratic nomination, is against the war. Is Sen. Clinton’s new position on Iraq borne of conscience, or just more luggage she’s picked up during her two-year, pre-2008 trek toward the political center?

C’mon even you libs know the answer to this.

***I almost forgot about these quotes. In case some of you forgot, Mrs. Rodham obviously has.

Without question, we need to disarm Saddam Hussein. He is a brutal, murderous dictator, leading an oppressive regime … He presents a particularly grievous threat because he is so consistently prone to miscalculation … And now he is miscalculating America’s response to his continued deceit and his consistent grasp for weapons of mass destruction … So the threat of Saddam Hussein with weapons of mass destruction is real…”
- Sen. John F. Kerry (D, MA), Jan. 23. 2003

“I will be voting to give the President of the United States the authority to use force — if necessary — to disarm Saddam Hussein because I believe that a deadly arsenal of weapons of mass destruction in his hands is a real and grave threat to our security.”
- Sen. John F. Kerry (D, MA), Oct. 9, 2002

“One way or the other, we are determined to deny Iraq the capacity to develop weapons of mass destruction and the missiles to deliver them. That is our bottom line.”
- President Clinton, Feb. 4, 1998

“If Saddam rejects peace and we have to use force, our purpose is clear. We want to seriously diminish the threat posed by Iraq’s weapons of mass destruction program.”
- President Bill Clinton, Feb. 17, 1998

“We must stop Saddam from ever again jeopardizing the stability and security of his neighbors with weapons of mass destruction.”
- Madeline Albright, Feb 1, 1998

“He will use those weapons of mass destruction again, as he has ten times since 1983.”
- Sandy Berger, Clinton National Security Adviser, Feb, 18, 1998

“[W]e urge you, after consulting with Congress, and consistent with the U.S. Constitution and laws, to take necessary actions (including, if appropriate, air and missile strikes on suspect Iraqi sites) to respond effectively to the threat posed by Iraq’s refusal to end its weapons of mass destruction programs.”
Letter to President Clinton.
- (D) Senators Carl Levin, Tom Daschle, John Kerry, others, Oct. 9, 1998

“Saddam Hussein has been engaged in the development of weapons of mass destruction technology which is a threat to countries in the region and he has made a mockery of the weapons inspection process.”
- Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D, CA), Dec. 16, 1998

“Hussein has … chosen to spend his money on building weapons of mass destruction and palaces for his cronies.”
- Madeline Albright, Clinton Secretary of State, Nov. 10, 1999

“We begin with the common belief that Saddam Hussein is a tyrant and a threat to the peace and stability of the region. He has ignored the mandate of the United Nations and is building weapons of mass destruction and th! e means of delivering them.”
- Sen. Carl Levin (D, MI), Sept. 19, 2002

“We know that he has stored secret supplies of biological and chemical weapons throughout his country.”
- Al Gore, Sept. 23, 2002

“Iraq’s search for weapons of mass destruction has proven impossible to deter and we should assume that it will continue for as long as Saddam is in power.”
- Al Gore, Sept. 23, 2002

“We have known for many years that Saddam Hussein is seeking and developing weapons of mass destruction.”
- Sen. Ted Kennedy (D, MA), Sept. 27, 2002

“The last UN weapons inspectors left Iraq in October of 1998. We are confident that Saddam Hussein retains some stockpiles of chemical and biological weapons, and that he has since embarked on a crash course to build up his chemical and biological warfare capabilities. Intelligence reports indicate that he is seeking nuclear weapons…”
- Sen. Robert Byrd (D, WV), Oct. 3, 2002

“There is unmistakable evidence that Saddam Hussein is working aggressively to develop nuclear weapons and will likely have nuclear weapons within the next five years … We also should remember we have always underestimated the progress Saddam has made in development of weapons of mass destruction.”
- Sen. Jay Rockefeller (D, WV), Oct 10, 2002

“In the four years since the inspectors left, intelligence reports show that Saddam Hussein has worked to rebuild his chemical and biological weapons stock, his missile delivery capability, and his nuclear program. He has also given aid, comfort, and sanctuary to terrorists, including al Qaeda members … It is clear, however, that if left unchecked, Saddam Hussein will continue to increase his capacity to wage biological and chemical warfare, and will keep trying to develop nuclear weapons.”
- Sen. Hillary Clinton (D, NY), Oct 10, 2002

“We are in possession of what I think to be compelling evidence that Saddam Hussein has, and has had for a number of years, a developing capacity for the production and storage of weapons of mass destruction.”
- Sen. Bob Graham (D, FL), Dec. 8, 2002

housing2.jpgAfter the poor kids next door took advantage of me, I felt sympathy for the people of Houston, who’ve suffered crime and violence because of struggling Katrina exiles.

By Debra J. Dickerson -  http://www.debradickerson.com/ )

Sixteen months after Hurricane Katrina opened America’s eyes about just how fragile the poor are and just how black and brown poverty remains, it’s hard to figure out what the public thinks about the hundreds of thousands of victims who are still displaced. It’s hard for me to figure what I think. Two different story lines battle it out in the media. One is about the hardships the New Orleans exiles face, the other is about the hardships the refugees themselves are inflicting on the cities where they now live.

These largely poor, largely black refugees face the end of free housing and other post-disaster public assistance. At the same time, they are being blamed for crime and social dysfunction in their new homes. Just as unsurprising as the racist fables about bestial black hordes running amok in the SuperDome after the storm are the more recent stories from Houston, where 100,000 refugees have worn out their welcome.

Houston is now experiencing a crime wave and a surge in murder, allegedly presided over by lawless, rampaging “Katricians.” Katrina evacuees were either suspects or victims in 59 killings in the first eight months of 2006, or one in five Houston homicides. They have become the poster people for fear-mongering Houston gun dealers and the subject of much public debate. Kinky Friedman, erstwhile Texas gubernatorial candidate and supposed political maverick, dismissed them as “thugs and crackheads.” I am surprised and chagrined to say that I can relate to the people of Houston.

As much as racism created and sustains this situation, the fact is, poor folks can seem like unreachable creatures, ever needy, inscrutable and impervious to uplift, from another planet. I know because I come from the inner city, because I am very involved in community work, but also because, until recently, the equivalent of Katrina evacuees lived next door to me. Much as I didn’t want to admit it that first year, they were a blight on our middle-class neighborhood and simply did not belong there. I’m glad (and unsurprised) that they were evicted. Relieved. And sadly sure that, absent concerted and sustained intervention, they are doomed to go on living as they always have — like perpetual evacuees, dependent on the largesse of others, defeated by America’s cutthroat capitalism and blind to its well-disguised avenues of escape.

Baker accused of skirting U.S. sanctions on Saddam

Tuesday, December 19th, 2006

jamesbaker.jpg

Businessman charges ex-secretary of state used middleman to ’sell out’ Israel for profit

RAMAT HASHARON, Israel – The law firm at which former Secretary of State James Baker is a senior partner used an Israeli middleman to bypass U.S. sanctions on Iraq and push through a multimillion-dollar collection effort involving the regime of Saddam Hussein, according to a businessman here who said he mediated the deal.

Nir Gouaz, president of Caesar Global Securities in Israel, told WND that Baker’s firm, Houston-based Baker Botts, made about $30 million collecting funds owed to a South Korean company by the Iraqi government at the peak of American sanctions imposed against Baghdad.

He claimed Baker was directly involved in the deal.

Gouaz told WND he decided to come forward with details of the alleged transactions after the release earlier this month of a report by the Iraq Study Group, a commission headed by Baker that recommended an eventual U.S. withdrawal from Iraq and dialogue with Iran and Syria.

CNN’s Pilgrim Highlights Media Bias at AP: Arrested Illegal Aliens Called ‘Victims’

Tuesday, December 19th, 2006

illegals5.jpgPosted by Brent Baker on Newsbusters

Filling in for Lou Dobbs on Friday night, CNN’s Kitty Pilgrim highlighted a case of bias at the “supposedly objective” Associated Press, which led a dispatch about the federal roundup Tuesday of workers at meatpacking plants, by referring to how “hordes of police” had “stormed” the plants, but “the illegal workers arrested may not have been the only victims.” Pilgrim marveled: “That’s right, the Associated Press calling illegal aliens — including some charged with stealing the identities of hundreds of Americans — it called them ‘victims.’”

Indeed, in a Friday morning AP dispatch as posted by Yahoo, “Immigration raids may affect meat prices,” the AP’s Roxana Hegeman led her Wichita-datelined story: “When hordes of police and immigration officials stormed meatpacking plants in six states this week, the illegal workers arrested may not have been the only victims. Consumers and the industry itself may be feeling the repercussions in a shortage of meatpackers, higher wage costs and, ultimately, higher prices for the beef that lands on America’s tables at home and in restaurants….”

Pilgrim’s short item toward the end of the first half hour of the December 15 Lou Dobbs Tonight:

“This broadcast is often criticized for taking a position on issues such as illegal immigration and border security. Well, here’s how the supposedly objective Associated Press covered Tuesday’s immigration raids on Swift Company meatpacking plants. In a story from Wichita, Kansas, and reprinted across the country, the AP reported that [text on screen under “Media Bias?”] ‘hordes of police and immigration officials stormed meatpacking plants in six states this week, the illegal workers arrested may not have been the only victims.’ That’s right, the Associated Press calling illegal aliens — including some charged with stealing the identities of hundreds of Americans — it called them ‘victims.’”

Barry Arrested, Claims He Was Targeted

Tuesday, December 19th, 2006

busted.jpgWASHINGTON — Marion Barry said that he is talking to his lawyers and thinking about suing the D.C. government and the U.S. Park Police after he was stopped, arrested and then released this past Saturday.

Barry said that he was driving to a holiday party around 4:30 p.m. Saturday when U.S. Park Police officers, who said that he was driving too slowly, stopped him.

Barry said the officers asked him for his license and registration and then said that his license was suspended.

Barry told NBC4 the suspension was a clerical mistake, and he accused the U.S. Park police of racial profiling.

Park Police said Barry’s license was in fact suspended, and that’s why he was arrested.

Barry was cuffed and taken to a park police station for processing.

Barry said the incident took several hours to work out and he was humiliated and severely inconvenienced. He said he wasn’t able to drive all weekend due to a mistake by the D.C. government.

So far there’s been no response from the D.C. Department of Motor Vehicles.

Snoop rant warning!

I have been listening to sports pundits all weekend dissect the most recent NBA thugfest and I’m so tired of listening to these sanctimonious white commentators bitch and moan about how the NBA is being dragged into the gutter.
Every time these players slap, yes I mean “slap” at each other like little bitches, the world and society is circling into a “black” hole.

First let me remind you folks of something, white people own the teams and basically only white people can afford to go to the games.
If you white folks are so appalled by the conduct of these street thug, illiterate black dudes turned millionaires then STOP GOING TO THE GAMES, STOP WATCHING THE GAMES!
The same retarded ass people who complain about the conduct of the typical NBA player make a very good living covering the exploits of these players and I bet in private love this shit.
As long a these Negros continue to make jackasses of themselves, white people will pay big money to be entertained by them.
It’s always more entertaining to watch black folks attack each other than let’s say the white guys in Hockey.
Notice you rarely see Hockey on TV. Hmmm

Black and Hispanic ‘Hate’ in LA County

Monday, December 18th, 2006

mexicans2a.jpgBlacks and hispanics in Los Angeles County are at each other’s throats.

They’re fighting one another in schools and in prisons. As these groups compete for the same low-skill jobs and “preferred minority status,” tensions mount.

Ethnic groups fighting for resources is as old as the hills.

According to a report released by the Los Angeles County Human Relations Commission, 2005 Hate Crimes Report (PDF), 633 hate crimes were reported in Los Angeles County in 2005, up from 502 last year. This increase was caused by a “sharp spike ” in race-related hate crimes, which jumped 46 percent. Contrary to popular opinion, hate crimes are not primarily white-on-black, at least not in LA.

So-called anti-black crimes increased by 47 percent. About 80 percent of hate crimes involving gangs were committed by hispanics against blacks. “Very few reports indicated that these racial crimes were committed by gang members against rival gang members; most were against victims who were not identified as gang members.”

School-based violence between blacks and hispanics also increased. In 2005, “82% of the total number of school hate crimes were racially motivated, up dramatically from 49% in 2004.” Here’s the interesting part: Hispanic-on-black violence at schools was more common than vice versa. It seems that “Latinos” are the aggressors in most black-hispanic hate crime cases.

One-Way Multiculturalism in Britain

Monday, December 18th, 2006

From the Blog Little Green Footballs

Some British state schools are now serving halal meat to all students, without their knowledge or permission: Parents angered as every pupil is given halal school meals. (Hat tip: LGF readers.)

muslimmeat.jpgHalal meat is being served to pupils in state schools without their knowledge, even if they believe the religious slaughter is cruel.

Parents have reacted furiously after being sent letters telling them their children’s school dinners have been all-halal for ‘some time’.

To conform with Jewish and Muslim religious tradition, animals are prepared for halal products by having their throats slit while conscious - a method many people believe is inhumane and which the RSPCA has condemned.

The meat was introduced at four schools in the Reading area with a high proportion of Muslim pupils. But parents of non-Muslim pupils - between 20 and 50 per cent of the schools’ roll -say they were not consulted.

Coach driver Andrew Weston, 37, who has a son and daughter at St John’s primary school, said: “We received a letter saying only halal meat was being served and had been for some time. I was shocked.

”The way the animals are killed for this meat is barbaric and cruel. Our children should have a choice.“

Abdul Dean, ethnic minorities officer for the Christian Peoples Alliance, said: ”Christian children should be given an equal chance to have non-halal meat. The school should have explained the situation to parents at the outset.“ …

A spokesperson for Reading Borough Council said: ”The decision was taken several years ago. Schools thought it was the appropriate choice for their multi-cultural community. We are increasing options at the four schools by offering fish each day.”
