Those crazy niggas voted for this dumbass again, amazing!

Sunday, May 21st, 2006

Sniff Says: This absolute fool of a mayor, completely ignored his own evacuation plan, hid out in a hotel above where people were stranded, then left and stayed in Dallas most of the time during recovery. Made that dumbass statement about “chocolate city” when the chocolate folks who were there were mostly drug dealing, drug taken, illiterate welfare queens who because of Katrina took their thuggin’ lazy asses to Houston when they are proceeding to drive up the murder rate and bankrupt the public school system.

The worst example of idiot Negro liberal democrat and how they can, without conscience, oversee the destruction of the black community and will swear that they are working hard for their peeps.

This is why I hate Negro liberals more than white liberals.

I would not invest one fucken dime in New Orleans while that fool is Mayor of that city. Those fools down there deserve their fate.

Nagin Wins Re-Election As New Orleans Mayor

NEW ORLEANS — Mayor Ray Nagin, whose shoot-from-the-hip style was both praised and scorned after Hurricane Katrina, narrowly won re-election over Lt. Gov. Mitch Landrieu on Saturday in the race to oversee one of the biggest rebuilding projects in U.S. history.”I greet you all in the spirit of unity because if we are unified there is nothing we cannot do,” Nagin said in a joyful victory speech that took on the tone of Sunday sermon.” We are ready to take off. We have citizens around the country who want to come back to the city of New Orleans, and we’re going to get them all back,” he said. “It’s time for us to stop the bickering. It’s time for us to stop measuring things in black and white and yellow and Asian. It’s time for us to be one New Orleans.”With all 442 precincts reporting, Nagin had 52.3 percent, or 59,460 votes, to Landrieu’s 47.7 percent, or 54,131 votes.Nagin, a former cable television executive first elected to public office in 2002, argued the city could ill-afford to change course just as rebuilding gathered steam. His second term begins a day before the June 1 start of the next hurricane season in a city where streets are still strewn with rusting, mud-covered cars and entire neighborhoods consist of homes that are empty shells. With little disagreement on the major issues - the right of residents to rebuild in all areas and the urgent need for federal aid for recovery and top-notch levees - the race came down to a referendum on leadership styles.Nagin, a janitor’s son from a black, working-class neighborhood, is known for his improvisational, some say impulsive, rhetoric. After Katrina plunged his city into chaos, Nagin was both scorned and praised for a tearful plea for the federal government to “get off their (behinds) and do something” and his now-famous remark that God intended New Orleans to be a “chocolate” city.In his concession speech, he reached out to his former enemies, thanking President Bush for keeping his commitment to rebuild New Orleans and Gov. Kathleen Blanco for “what she is getting ready to do.”Landrieu, who served 16 years in the state House before being elected to his current post of lieutenant governor two years ago, touted his ability to bring people together and get things done. The scion of a political dynasty known as Louisiana’s version of the Kennedys, he’s the brother of Sen. Mary Landrieu and had hoped to be the first white mayor in a generation, since his father, Moon Landrieu, left office in 1978.Landrieu echoed the theme of his campaign - a call for unity - as he conceded to Nagin.”One thing is for sure - that we as a people have got to come together so we can speak with one voice and one purpose,” he said. “Join with me in supporting Mayor Nagin.”Fewer than half of New Orleans’ 455,000 pre-Katrina residents are living in the city, and a large number of blacks scattered by the storm have yet to return.Evacuees arrived by bus from as far as Atlanta and Houston to vote. More than 25,000 ballots were cast early by mail or fax or at satellite polling places set up around Louisiana earlier in the month _ 5,000 more than were cast early in the primary.Nagin, who had widespread support from white voters four years ago, lost much of that support in last month’s primary but predicted a stronger showing this time. Results from Louisiana’s Secretary of State’s Office showed that he got it. Absentee and early votes went slightly for Nagin. And while the results showed Nagin carrying majority black precincts and Landrieu winning in majority white ones, Nagin pulled a significant crossover vote in some heavily populated predominantly white precincts in Uptown New Orleans.Turnout appeared to be on-par with the April 22 primary, when about 37 percent of eligible voters cast ballots.”I want the city to come back,” said 61-year-old Alice Howard, an evacuee who returned by bus from Houston to cast her ballot. “This is my city. This is home to me. … I want to make sure the correct person takes care of home.”

2006 will be a major disappointment. So will 2008.

Saturday, May 20th, 2006

POST VIA THE NEWS BLOG AND THE DAILY KOS

LIBERALS ARE GETTING A BIT CRANKY. MY MAN WAR WILL HAVE TO ADDRESS THIS POST!

Color me pessimistic. Call me a chicken little. Tell me I’m a naysayer. Say I’m a buzzkill. But do hear me out.
We’re going to be in trouble: Markos can sense it. I can sense it. Joe Klein can sense it (but for all the wrong reasons). Nearly every prominent Democrat is extremely wary right now that, while the polls may look good now, we will be horribly disappointed come this November. We’re going to be in trouble because–to this day–WE REFUSE TO TAKE A STAND. We’re fighting back alright–finally–but we’re not taking a stand.
And what do I mean by taking a stand? I’ll tell you…
Even here on the blogosphere, we do not take a stand. Not really. Not most of the time.
Oh, yes, don’t get me wrong: we scream about the evils of Iraq War until our lungs give out; we decry the Imperial Presidency and the shredding of our beloved Constitution; we lambaste the incompetence born of heartless indifference that created the Katrina disaster; we vent over the mind-numbing corruption and salacious scandals; we fume at the depradations of the Christianist right; and we weep at the evils done in the name of America–in our name.
But that’s NOT called taking a stand. It’s called fighting back. It’s what a schoolkid does when he’s finally had enough of the neighborhood bully–and it’s good when it happens–but it’s not remotely enough to win over the country. And if we don’t do what it takes to really win over the country, we’re going to lose. Again. We won’t lose to Bush, but we’ll still lose.—————————————————-
We’re going to lose because PERSONAL TAINT IS EPHEMERAL in politics. Basic corruption and incompetence are bad, but not insurmountable. And personal dislike of a single, or even multiple politicians, may spell doom for them personally–but not for the ideology that put them there in the first place. Attempting to ride personal taint and corruption to victory at the ballot box is stupid, myopic and shortsighted–even if it works in the short-term.
For all the brouhaha and cheering celebrations here in the liberal blogosphere about Bush’s eternally sinking poll numbers, we seem to have forgotten something of extraordinary importance: Bush once had approval ratings of over 50%–even before 9/11. And the public voted overwhelmingly for Republican congressmen and congresswomen in 1994, 1996, 2000, 2002 and 2004. And that is important–it is a lesson forgotten at our peril.
For a lesson in contrast, one has only to look to Bill Clinton. Despite his personal foibles, Bill Clinton was and remained an extremely popular president–personally. But that personal admiration on the part of voters did not translate to an admiration of Democratic politics, and we lost seats. In the same way, voters can hate and reject Bush personally–and even many congressional Republicans–but they will not reject REPUBLICANISM.
———————————–
And what IS Republicanism? Any average voter can tell you: smaller government, stronger military, and “moral values.”
The fact that Republicans have failed entirely to shrink the government; the fact that they have wrecked our military; the fact that they have failed to foster anything but amorality; these things are irrelevant. The only thing that IS relevant is that the GOP machine has sold the idea of Republicanism to the average voter.
And the corollary of that premise is that, if a Republican fails to deliver on the promises of Republicanism, it can only be for one reason: he/she wasn’t Republican enough.
Or, to put it another way: When you look at Bush’s 32% approval rating, have you ever asked yourself how many of those people hate him because he’s not far enough to the right? I know I have–and the answer scares me.
Right now, the public is disgusted with their elected leaders. But as campaign season rolls around again, the sheeple will be inclined to forigve the actual practitioners of the greed and corruption, so long as they stay on message: the message of Republicanism. The message of smaller government, stronger military, and “moral values.”
And all the screaming in the world won’t change that.———————————————-
And what–pray tell–do WE stand for? What reason on earth does the public have to vote for a Democrat?
If you asked Joe Sixpack on the street how he thinks his life would change if Democrats controlled the House and Senate, do you think he would have a coherent answer?
If you asked Joe Sixpack on the street what the Democrats’ equivalent of Republicanism is, do you think he would have a coherent answer?
I certainly don’t see an answer. But I know what I DO see.
I see one wing of the party kowtowing to Republicans and playing at being Republican-lite: the DLC, Harman, Joe Lieberman wing.
And I see the other wing screaming bloody murder at the various depradations of this administration and its cronies–by sending message bills, threatening impeachment, and demanding investigations: this is the Conyers/Boxer wing. And of the two, this is FAR preferable.
But I see NO ONE actually taking a stand. I see NO ONE standing up for DEMOCRATISM.———————————–
And what would that even look like? I can tell what I think it would look like.
For starters, it would mean shaping our policies around Liberal Rhetoric again. In my diary A Memorial For What We Have Lost, I tried to remind people of the REAL values that American stands for–that are ingraved and tattooed onto its very being:
The Common Good.Equal Opportunity.The Right to Privacy.Accountable Government.Respect Abroad.
It would mean standing up for single-payer healthcare.
It would mean standing up for a SERIOUS increase in the minimum wage.
It would mean standing up for SERIOUSLY higher taxes on corporations and the extremely wealthy, in order to actually SHRINK the income gap in this country.
It would mean standing up for re-regulating all the corrupt, vampirous industries that were deregulated by Reagan and Bush.
It would mean standing up strongly for the separation of church and state, and heaping scorn on those who would tear it down, rather than running in fear of them.
It would mean standing up for SERIOUSLY higher pensions and funding for our military personnel, and for our veterans.
It would mean doing all these things and much more–AND MAKING SURE THAT JOE SIXPACK KNEW WE MEANT IT.
———————————————–
We can talk impeachments until we’re blue in the face. We can call for investigations until our hearts give out. And we can seek indictments unto our political graves. And these are things we MUST DO.
But until we actually make a stand–until we stand up for Democratism–we will ALWAYS be playing second fiddle to Republicans–even if they do end up hanging themselves with their own rope here and there.
Because, when push comes to shove, the disgusted voters may throw out individual Republicans from time to time–but they will eternally vote for Republicanism. Until and unless, that is, they are given a serious alternative. An alternative that grasps their imaginations and the better angels of their natures, rather than simply tapping into their frustration and disgust.
It’s time to do more than just fight back, folks. It’s time to take a stand–because I’m tired of losing.
And it would mean pulling defeat from the jaws of victory. Why? Because this isn’t a debate over issues, I wish it was, but it’s not.You pick a fight on these issues, Bush will change the subject and win, because he’s already defined the terms on which they will be fought.Raise those issues and the GOP has a rallying point. They’re attacking churches, they want socialized medicine. Nope, sorry, not this time. Trying to redefine issues in an election year is bad politics, when the issue is the other side’s utter incompetence.Kerry lost because Rove had gay marriage in his pocket. He could drop his code words, throw Kerry off and appeal to the base and they stormed into the polls to protect marriage and vote for Bush. Why hand them another issue at this point? You can’t win any of those fights until you hold office. But if you raise them, the GOP and friends will hand you your head and laugh. The place you stand is on ground you define, Bush’s failure, and Democratic competence. Bush has failed, and that is a powerful meme to frame an argument in. But you can’t roll back anything until you control Congress and saying you will changes the subject.I don’t worry about how many people think Bush isn’t conservative enough, those people aren’t going to change much, I worry about the Independents who must be convinced that this isn’t working any longer. Dems first have to stand for fighting back and resisting Bush, because that is what is on the table. It’s the people who could support Bush because they thought he agreed with them on any number of issues, who think they’re moderates, are the people who make the difference. The people who wanted to believe him after 9/11 and have been disappointed.People largely support the Dems on social issues and that hasn’t changed. What they don’t trust is Democratic weakness and appeasement. You hand the GOP a battleground on their issues, they win and if you frame it as single payer and reregulation, that’s their wet dream.Instead, you frame it as weakness, betrayal of common principles and failure. Americanshate failure, more than anything else. They cannot tolerate it.It sounds great to stand on real issues, but this time, I want them to defend failure and corruption, make them define where they stand. After they lose, then you fight about what the values are. But you have to win first.

Liberals are so rude and tacky

Saturday, May 20th, 2006

More evidence on just how stupid and tacky liberals for the most part are.

I’m not even a McCain fan but damm, can’t you fucken liberal wackos act like civilized human beings in a public forum? This kind of shit is so petty, but typical of liberal behavior.
Graduates at New School Heckle Speech by McCain

By
DAVID M. HERSZENHORN

The jeers, boos and insults flew, as caustic as any that angry New Yorkers have hurled inside Madison Square Garden. The objects of derision yesterday, however, were not the hapless New York Knicks, but Senator John McCain, the keynote speaker at the New School graduation, and his host, Bob Kerrey, the university president.

No sooner had Mr. Kerrey welcomed the audience to the university’s 70th commencement than the hoots began to rise through the Theater at Madison Square Garden. Several graduates held up a banner aimed at Mr. McCain, an Arizona Republican and likely 2008 presidential candidate, declaring: “Our commencement is not your platform.” Other students and faculty members waved orange fliers with the same message.
Mr. Kerrey, a former Democratic senator from Nebraska, was unapologetic yesterday about inviting Mr. McCain, his friend and fellow Vietnam War veteran, to speak. He noted early in his welcoming remarks that there had been intense media coverage of Mr. McCain’s graduation speech last week at Liberty University, headed by the Rev. Jerry Falwell, in which Mr. McCain strongly defended the Iraq war.

Immigration: At the Tipping Point

Saturday, May 20th, 2006

By David Limbaugh - Via Newsmax

Political commentators – both right and left – who think the outrage over the immigration crisis is a conservative fringe phenomenon are sorely out of touch. That may have been true some time ago, but the sleeping giant of American good will and apathy has finally been jolted out of her sleep. It’s hard to deny that the catalyzing events were the audacious protests of illegals throughout the country, waving Mexican flags, disrespecting the American flag and demanding, sometimes in Spanish, their “civil rights.” Perhaps Sen. Ted Kennedy’s pathetic pandering to this burgeoning new constituency contributed to the national wake-up call as well.
I recognize that certain eastern-corridor economic conservatives may have lofty motives in their undying advocacy for open borders. They continue to romanticize immigration as some innocuous boon to our economy with comparatively minor downsides. But they grossly underestimate the magnitude of the angst of mainstream conservatives over this issue and misjudge their motives. They betray their elitism by implying that those roiled about the issue are “anti-immigrant” or “impervious” to facts that only those in their perches of erudition can clearly see.
The overwhelming majority of people exercised about immigration are not remotely racist, prejudiced, bigoted or nativist. They are, however, unapologetic patriots, believers in the American ideal, the American identity and the American culture. They are not slaves to an exclusively capitalistic perspective, realizing that economic considerations – pro and con – are only one part of the equation.
It goes without saying that immigration is a multi-faceted problem because it touches on so many issues, including the rule of law, national security, national sovereignty, our national identity, the welfare state, demography, the economy, and politics.
I find it particularly offensive to watch talk shows that approach the immigration debate from an exclusively political perspective. Wouldn’t it be refreshing to hear the talking heads, instead of discussing the potential impact on the two political parties, actually considering what the ramifications for our nation might be if significant action isn’t taken? AMEN!
Unfortunately, the frequency of elections in our system has the effect of causing politicians to put out short-term fires rather than devising long-term fixes for problems. They are under enormous pressure to just do something to address the problem before November to avoid being blamed for inaction. But because of the outstanding work of people like Robert Rector of the Heritage Foundation, and the clarion calls of Sen. Jeff Sessions, R-Ala., in publicizing his work and other aspects of the problem, we are now seeing that one of the Senate’s proposed immigration reform bills could greatly exacerbate the problems.
Even if Rector’s projections about the inflow of new immigrants over the next 20 years are substantially overstated, there is no question that way too many immigrants will come in during that period. And there is no question that this nation, given the current state of its laws and its refusal to encourage assimilation and promote a national identity, simply cannot absorb them.
With all due respect to the casual elite, we are talking about nothing less than the destruction of America as we know it. This will come about not so much by “foreigners,” but through our own complicity in devaluing the rule of law by neglecting immigration enforcement and the disgraceful abandonment of our national identity. This will prevent us from promoting the English language, our own sovereignty, our unique constitutional system and our traditional values.
Though we are the greatest nation in the history of the world, we often project anything but pride about that. We act as though we are ashamed of the American culture and Western civilization and must promote a destructive, euphemized multiculturalism, instead of an American blend of multiethnicity. We must celebrate our multiple ethnicities, but promote our common cultural identity. To do otherwise is national suicide. Not only will we become a hopelessly balkanized nation if trends continue, but we’ll bankrupt ourselves in the process. CAN I GET ANOTHER AMEN!!
Some say that in crafting a solution to the immigration problem we must effectively seal our borders before we can deal with the “illegals” who are already here. Others say we might as well not bother trying to close the border unless we deal with the legality issues because without strong legal deterrents to future illegal immigration, our efforts to seal the border will be in vain.
I believe we have to address both aspects of the problem, as they are manifestly interdependent. In the meantime, I hope that those mostly well-meaning elitists looking down their noses at the commoners who have finally been stirred to action on this issue will reconsider their underestimation of the scope and urgency of the problem and realize that it has finally reached the tipping point among the mainstream.

Tip leads Border Patrol to 91 illegal entrants in truck

Arizona Daily Star Tucson, Arizona

Border Patrol agents discovered 91 illegal entrants who were smuggled into the country in the back of a box truck Thursday night southwest of Sonoita, an official said Friday.Around 10 p.m., the Border Patrol received a call from a concerned citizen about possible illegal activity, said Jesus Rodriguez, a spokesman for the agency’s Tucson sector. The caller said they believed the truck was picking up illegal entrants.Border Patrol agents from Nogales and Sonoita pulled the truck over on Highway 82 around Milepost 26, at which time the driver got out and ran into the brush, Rodriguez said.Inside the truck, agents found 91 illegal entrants, most of whom were from Mexico but some were from Central America, he said.No injuries were reported and the driver of the truck was not found, Rodriguez said. The illegal entrants were detained and taken to the Nogales processing center, he said.

Illegals granted Social Security
By Charles Hurt

THE WASHINGTON TIMES

The Senate voted yesterday to allow illegal aliens to collect Social Security benefits based on past illegal employment — even if the job was obtained through forged or stolen documents. “There was a felony they were committing, and now they can’t be prosecuted. That sounds like amnesty to me,” said Sen. John Ensign, the Nevada Republican who offered the amendment yesterday to strip out those provisions of the immigration reform bill. “It just boggles the mind how people could be against this amendment.” The Ensign amendment was defeated on a 50-49 vote. “We all know that millions of undocumented immigrants pay Social Security and Medicare taxes for years and sometimes decades while they work to contribute to our economy,” said Sen. John McCain, Arizona Republican. “The Ensign amendment would undermine the work of these people by preventing lawfully present immigrant workers from claiming Social Security benefits that they earned before they were authorized to work in our community,” he said. “If this amendment were enacted, the nest egg that these immigrants have worked hard for would be taken from them and their families.”
Mr. Ensign was among 44 Republicans and five Democrats who voted to block such payouts. Damm Democrats, I’m gonna find out what idiot Republicans voted against blocking….

Vegas Part One….

Saturday, May 20th, 2006

Ok, I’m gonna have to do this in a few parts, because I am still tired and slightly out of it.
We accomplished the “up till dawn” thing twice while there.
I ‘l have Mrs Sniff post on some other aspects of the trip.
Let me get my negative rants out of the way.
FIRST, as much as I like Vegas one thing it is quicky becoming is a Redneck Riviera. Living in Lawrence, KS one thing that spoils you is that we don’t have a lot of fat ass toothless hillbilly types living here. With the University here obviously we have a nice collection of younger, nice looking females here.
Unfortunately, Vegas with its multitude of cheep flights via Allegiant Air ($69 each way) from tiny destinations such as Sioux Falls and Rapid City South Dakota, Bismark and Fargo North Dakota, Missoula Montana and Idaho Falls, Idaho it has become the choice destination of incredibly overweight, toothless, hillbilly redneck types.
You simply do not see very many nice, ordinary attractive people there anymore.
Even in the Mega resorts. Despite the billions spent on these destinations with the marble floors, beautiful furnishings, fine restaurants and oasis type settings it is grossly offset with people walking around in nasty shorts, tennis shoes, dirty T-shirts, mullets and bunches of women with thighs bigger than I am with mounds of cellulite! Its fucken gross.
How the hell can a normal person enjoy a fine vacation when these type of people are milling around?
I mean seriously, these are folks who consider a trip to Denny’s buffet and Smoke shop fine dining.
If you are going to take your ass to Vegas at least TRY and play dress-up and look decent walking around.
SECOND, Trash. With all the billions and billions of dollars spent making Vegas this spectacular glossy destination, city leaders sure as hell don’t spend very much time cleaning up the rest of the city.
Having the opportunity to drive literally around the entire city Mrs. Sniff and I got to explore not only the strip and casinos but neighborhoods as well. There is still significant building going on there.
They are building luxury condos and townhomes by the bunches. Unfortunately the areas where building has yet to commence there are piles of cement, dirt and mounds of trash everywhere.
It’s already bad enough that you are in an environment that is dry, brown, sorely lacking in trees or green grass but blowing trash, construction waste and other debris is given free reign to spread itself around the city.
Now adding to the trash category is political signs. These should be outlawed. The jackass politicians in Vegas are not satisfied enough with the small yard type signs you see elsewhere, but these bastards erect signs the size of a mini vans on these vacant lots I mentioned. They also put them on any available fencing or vacant surface. I even saw one politician advertise on the side of a restaurant! Its just fucken tacky as hell.
THIRD, Foreign Drivers. One thing you notice is that there are lots of accidents in Vegas and when you see one they are more often than not serious ones. Also more times than not the fault lies with the Japanese or some other far Eastern individual who decided to come to Vegas and rent a fancy car knowing damm well they can’t navigate successfully.
Every time I was cut off or cut in front of was a foreign driver. Oh lets not forget the Middle Eastern folks as well. One lady (Indian dot, not feather) whom I thought was making a right turn had her car in the middle of the far right lane on a six lane boulevard. She looked as though she wanted to get totally across the street. Instead of waiting for the proper light she simply was easing herself across this incredibly busy street causing a major traffic jam.
FOURTH, support staff in Vegas.
I believe that most of what I am bitching about has taken it’s toll on the support staff there in Vegas. Having to cater to the rude gamblers, the plastic face and breasted trophy wives, to the Hillbilly masses these people are just worn out and pissed off. Except for a couple of cases the support staff was slightly rude, never smiled, looked pissed off and especially the waitresses in the mega hotels were not as attractive. Even in the Paris, (was my favorite) all of the fine looking women who worked there in those French uniforms were not nearly as nice or attractive. They clearly did not enjoy their work. They were just going through the motions and collecting a paycheck.
Being there for one week wore me out. Can you imagine working there day in and day out.
Mrs Sniff will continue this later. We are still settling in and recuperating.
Despite my rants Mrs Sniff and I had a good time. We always say to each other we can enjoy ourselves wherever we go. It’s never about the destination, it’s more about who you are with.

I cured my Vegas fix for awhile.

Iran: Jews, Christians Must Wear Badges

In a move reminiscent of the Nazis forcing Jews to wear a Star of David insignia, Iran’s parliament has reportedly passed a law requiring Jews, Christians and other religious minorities to wear color-coded badges to identify them as non-Muslims.
The law would also set a dress code for all Iranians, requiring them to wear “standard Islamic garments.”
The law, which must be approved by Iran’s “Supreme Leader” Ali Khamenei before taking effect, requires Iran’s roughly 25,000 Jews to sew a yellow strip of cloth on the front of their clothes. Christians would be forced to wear red badges and Zoroastrians would wear blue cloth, according to Canada’s National Post.
“This is reminiscent of the Holocaust,” said Rabbi Marvin Hier, dean of the Simon Wiesenthal Center in Los Angeles.
“Iran is moving closer and closer to the ideology of the Nazis.”
Bernie Farber, chief executive of the Canadian Jewish Congress, agrees.
“There are some frightening parallels here,” he told the National Post.
“We thought this had gone the way of the dodo bird, but clearly in Iran everything old and bad is new again. It’s state-sponsored religious discrimination.”
The new law was drafted two years ago, but lingered in the Iranian parliament until recently when it was revived at the urging of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.
Ahmadinejad has repeatedly described the Holocaust as a myth and earlier this year announced Iran would host a conference to re-examine the Nazis’ “Final Solution.”
Ali Behroozian, an Iranian exile living in Toronto, said the new law would make religious minorities immediately identifiable and allow Muslims to avoid contact with non-Muslims.
Iran’s small pockets of Jewish, Christian and other religious minorities “have all been persecuted for a while, but these new dress rules are going to make things worse for them,” he told the Post.
Australia’s Prime Minister John Howard told reporters about the law: “Anything of that kind would be totally repugnant to civilized countries, if it’s the case, and something that would just further indicate to me the nature of this regime. It would be appalling.”
The Simon Wiesenthal Center has written to U.N. Secretary General Kofi Annan calling on the international community to bring pressure on Iran to drop the law.
“The world should not ignore this,” said Rabbi Hier. “The world ignored Hitler for many years. He was dismissed as a demagogue. They said he’d never come to power.
“And we were all wrong.”

HEY HOWARD, YOU ARE UNFIT TO RUN THE DNC….BUT I’M GLAD YOU’RE THERE!! CAUSE YOU IS A MORON!

Howard Dean: Gen. Hayden Unfit to Run CIA

Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean is calling on Senate Democrats to vote against the nomination of Gen. Michael Hayden to run the CIA, saying his efforts to wiretap terrorists while he was running the National Security Agency make him unfit for the job.”After [Thursday’s] hearings, it’s obvious that Hayden’s involvement in the NSA’s domestic spying program disqualifies him from heading the CIA,” Dean declared, in a message emailed to Democrats on Friday.”We need a CIA chief committed to protecting Americans without misleading them,” Dean said. “Hayden, through his involvement in the domestic spying program, has shown that he cannot.”"We cannot stand for that,” the top Democrat added.Apparently Dean realizes that he doesn’t have much clout left with Senate Democrats - so he’s calling on the grassroots to bombard them with calls and emails.”When the Senators meet to decide on Hayden’s confirmation, they must hear the voices of their constituents,” he urges in the email. “We want to deliver the voices of 100,000 Americans who oppose this nomination.”

As we view the NOLA Mayoral race, Remember these wacko liberal posts on Katrina

Saturday, May 20th, 2006

Here are a few paragraphs written by some extremist wacko.
It would be funny if it were not so disturbing at the same time.

The Katrina holocaust was calculated. This is why assistance–ambulances, trucks of water and other essential supplies were turned away, why no amphibious military vehicles or boats rescued people from the Superdome, which backs right up to the water, why 5 days late the Federal ‘rescue’ is guns, tanks and Martial Law. In the context of the US history’s non-stop genocidal crimes, subjecting 70% of the population to terror after first evacuating property-owners, is just business as usual. On the Sunday of “mandatory” evacuation, the people who left were rich enough and well enough to get out– minimally, they could get to a car. The greyhound bus terminal and Amtrak had shut down on Saturday night, so everybody without wheels was forced to stay. The people who were directed to the Superdome were treated like criminals and not allowed to leave after the hurricane passed. Right now they are basically prisoners en route to the Astrodome, another “prison”, in another state, Texas.

What’s different this time is that the entire world is seeing the racist & hypocritical nature of this ‘democratic beacon that invades other countries under the pretext of exporting democracy while treating the oppressed in the “homeland” with fascistic brutality. People who have never seen and thus never understood the barbaric nature of this system are shocked –because with class & race privilege such treatment by the state is ‘foreign’, ‘not american’. Which is true because american, as Toni Morrison explained [in “Whiteness & the Literary Imagination: Playing in the Dark”] has always been code for white. A Spanish politician tourist & spouse trapped in the Dome said to the camera –[some reporters & cameramen after days in the midst of the horror seem genuinely angry willing to go out on a limb more than usual by airing such comments]–this is genocide imprisoning tens of thousands of people without food, water, sanitation, medical care… Shortly after the couple was removed by a small army of troops as thousands of mostly Black, all very poor people, barely clinging to life without food or water for days, watched in despair and anger.

New Orleans is part of the US agenda which frames and conditions every single aspect of life everywhere now–part of a fascist war of terror against all who impede or resist their goal of global dictatorship. The barbaric degradation and dehumanization, orchestrated by the “Dept. of Homeland Security”, is designed to crush the dignity, courage, spirit and survival of the most oppressed.

Recycled Democrat Stuff: In case you did not know…

Friday, May 19th, 2006

It’s particularly ironic that Democrats on the Senate Judiciary Committee would try to smear Samuel Alito as racist for his 1980s membership in a Princeton organization that was against affirmative action - especially given the backgrounds of Alito’s leading critics on the Committee.

In fact, Senators Ted Kennedy and Joe Biden have some significant exposure of their own on the racial sensitivity front, given the fact that both their families owned homes that were restricted by “racial covenants” from being sold to blacks, Jews or other minorities.
The startling news emerged in 1986, during confirmation hearings for the late Chief Justice William Rehnquist. Back then, Democrats were in the midst of skewering Rehnquist as a racist because a deed on a home he once owned had a racial covenant.
But the tables were turned when Republicans on the Committee learned that both Kennedy and Biden’s families owned property with the same kind of racial restrictions.
United Press International picked up the story, reporting at the time: “The parents of Sen. Joseph Biden, D-Del., own a home in Wilmington, Del., that has an old deed prohibiting sale or occupancy by blacks.”
Biden insisted that neither he nor his parents knew about the racist restriction. The Delaware Democrat announced that when his family found out they took immediate legal action to reverse what he called the “morally repugnant” agreement.
Sen. Kennedy’s racial skeletons came tumbling out of the closet shortly thereafter, when news surfaced that his brother, the late President John F. Kennedy, had a racially restrictive covenant on the deed to his Georgetown home.
Kennedy, who was leading the charge against Justice Rehnquist, insisted his brother couldn’t have possibly known about the racist agreement, which he called “deplorable.”

[Link] The tax cut reconciliation bill (H.R. 4297) provides households with income of $1 million or more an average tax break of $42,000. In gross contrast, the more than three-quarters of the nation’s households with annual income of $75,000 or less will receive an average tax cut of $30 for one year - not even enough to pay for a single tank of gas. And average families will end up footing the bill for millionaire tax breaks through cuts in vital services and added national debt.

The amazing offer works like this: You, the working class, get to assume ten-trillion dollars in debt and thus help out struggling Billionaires, and in return the GOP will give you a crisp twenty-dollar bill in every trillion dollar box of Tax Crackerjacks! But wait there’s more! You may have trouble paying off your share of that mountain of debt during your working life. No matter how hard you work your fingers to the bone for Billionaires, your retirement cash flow may be adversely affected by Republican legislation destroying social security or allowing corporate crooks to wallow in your retirement assets until they exhaust it and wind up face down in a pile of cocaine and hookers in Vegas. Or in a post Bush-world you may be sent to the protein reclamation center to become Soylent Green too early to fully pay your share. So the Republicans signed your kids up to take over your payments upon your death! Doesn’t that just ooze compassion?

— I love reading liberals rant about “the rich”.
You know I’m a simple guy. I make a decent living I’m right in the middle of the pack as far as median income. Between my wife and I were cool. My wife moans about our moans credit card debt from time to time, but generally we are cool.
Would I like to make more money? Sure, but I love where I work and unless something dramatic happens I will be here until the day I die.
But I was never raised to be envious of anybody. I just don’t get class envy and the hatred of the “rich”.
Are some of them crooks, you bet! Are some of them assholes? Sure! Are they greedy? Duh! But you know if I had not fucked around in school chose a different path than going into the military, No gotten married at 21, a whole host of things I might have a few extra dead presidents in my pocket.
But like the pic indicated this “Playa Hatin’” bullshit has got to stop. If yo ass is broke that is your problem!
The more money rich folks have the more they will spend. And guess what; they spend it on “stuff”. Stuff like houses, shoes, cars, boats, dinners, gambling, spa treatments, toys for their kids, clothes and all kinds of other shit.
The folks on the lower end of the totem poll provides the shit those rich folks are seeking.
Tax cuts work. The more money people have the more tax revenue that is generated.
This is not rocked science.
You liberals need to stop this boo hoo  bitching and whining because yo ass is driving around in a beat up ass 1977 Gremlin with the muffler falling off, no heater, balding tires and the Impeach Bush, Kerry Edwards, No Blood for Oil, Bush Lied and if you live in Kansas “Kansas: As bigoted as you think” bumper stickers.
Turn in that Playa Hata degree for something more productive.

Thank goodness the wacko left hates her as much as the GOP does…

Podhoretz: Why Hillary Clinton Is So Dangerous
By: Carl Limbacher Jr.

“The mischief Hillary could do in the White House would be far more devastating to the country than anything she and Bill cooked up in the 1990s.” So says New York Post columnist John Podhoretz in his new book, “Can She Be Stopped?: Hillary Clinton Will Be the Next President Unless …” “We have every reason to believe she would be a far more destructive president than her husband was,” he argues. Podhoretz predicts that Mrs. Clinton will “use her time in the White House to advance frankly liberal or leftist ideas, at a time when the left poses a colossal threat to the nation’s economic viability and its national security. She will try to run for office from the center but govern from the left.” Those concerned about keeping America safe in a post-9/11 world, he says, “have every reason to be panicked about the prospect of Hillary’s ascension.” Mrs. Clinton will chip away at President Bush’s national security programs “until they are so compromised they will spring as many leaks as a New Orleans levee during a storm surge. “The judges she appoints,” warns the Post scribe, would all be “left-leaning at best [and] would be inclined to use their gavels to rule out of order any and all aggressive efforts at terrorism prevention.” Still, what Podhoretz describes as her “Trojan Horse” strategy may succeed, unless the GOP does more to smoke her out on key issues that will expose her as a dyed-in-the-wool left-winger.”The views that she almost certainly holds but does not really talk that much about are very much out of step with what the American presidential electorate wants,” Podhoretz told NewsMax. Republicans are kidding themselves, he warns, if they think the old questions about scandal and character will be enough to keep Hillary out of the White House two years from now. “I think it’s useless” for the GOP to pursue that angle, the “Can She Be Stopped?” author told NewsMax. “A lot of what we know about her and were disgusted by her … is eight to 15 years in the past.” “That’s a very long time in politics,” he said. “You’re talking about things that were exposed and became matters of controversy more than a decade before she’s running for president. All of her worst dirty laundry has been aired already and she’s still viable.” Besides, the Post columnist explained, the old scandal-scarred Hillary won’t be running in 2008. “She’s shown the most important quality a successful politician can have: She’s learned how to adapt. She’s learned from her mistakes. And she’s even managed to make her mistakes work for her.”She’s older, wiser and cleverer - and therefore more dangerous.”As for her Senate re-election race this year, Podhoretz says New York has turned too blue to stop Hillary - and the national GOP should conserve its resources for the main event in 2008. “Let’s face it,” Podhoretz told NewsMax, “she beat [Rick] Lazio by 12 points … It’s very doubtful a Republican is going to win any statewide office this year or for the foreseeable future. “There’s no sense in [the GOP] burning resources in a state like New York right now.”

Dems Join Suit to Ban Terrorist Surveillance

Friday, May 12th, 2006

bl.jpg

Until now, Democrats had insisted that they didn’t want to end President Bush’s terrorist surveillance program, saying instead that the law merely needed to be changed to make terrorist surveillance inside the U.S. illegal.
On Wednesday, however - even before USA Today’s bogus report about the NSA’s phone number data collection program - 71 House Democrats signed up to sponsor a move that would make it illegal for the NSA to continue to monitor terrorist phone calls.
The liberal web site Raw Story reported Thursday:
“The 71 Democrats and one independent filed an amicus brief in two federal courts reviewing challenges to the warrantless wiretapping program in Detroit and New York, joining the American Civil Liberties Union and the Center for Constitutional Rights.”
“Both suits demand the program be stopped.”
Predictably, Michigan Democrat John Conyers led the charge:
“As our brief makes clear, this Congress dealt with this issue authoritatively almost 30 years ago - warrantless spying on American soil is flatly prohibited,” he railed.

Poll: Most Americans Support NSA’s Efforts
By Richard MorinWashington Post Staff

A majority of Americans initially support a controversial National Security Agency program to collect information on telephone calls made in the United States in an effort to identify and investigate potential terrorist threats, according to a Washington Post-ABC News poll.
The new survey found that 63 percent of Americans said they found the NSA program to be an acceptable way to investigate terrorism, including 44 percent who strongly endorsed the effort. Another 35 percent said the program was unacceptable, which included 24 percent who strongly objected to it.
A slightly larger majority–66 percent–said they would not be bothered if NSA collected records of personal calls they had made, the poll found.

Rep. John Murtha Predicts Democrat ‘Tidal Wave’ in 2006

Rep. John Murtha, the hawkish Democrat who stunned Washington last year with his call for withdrawing U.S. troops from Iraq, said Thursday that American forces will come home next year - either because of public pressure or a Democratic-controlled Congress. The Pennsylvania lawmaker predicted a political tidal wave in November, comparable to the post-Watergate class of 1974 - when he was first elected - or the Republican rout in 1994 that will give the Democrats control of the House. His estimate: Democrats will win 40-50 House seats - far more than the 15 necessary to take charge from Republicans.”They’re not going to understand how bad it’s going to be,” Murtha said in an interview with The Associated Press. “They’re going to get shocked.”Ed Patru, a spokesman for the National Republican Congressional Committee, dismissed Murtha’s prediction, saying Republicans will maintain a majority.Murtha argued that the war has become increasingly unpopular and amounts to an Achilles heel for President Bush and Congress. He said the president will either bow to pressure and withdraw the troops in 2007 - about 130,000 are in Iraq now - or congressional Democrats will pressure the White House.

200,000,000!

Thursday, May 11th, 2006

Old recycled post. But it frames liberals very well I think While driving home the other afternoon, I laughed so hard I almost got into a wreck. I literally had to pull my car over. Rush repeated (my first time hearing) a clip from Rep. Major Owens (D-NY) that he first aired in 1996. He currently has an article on his website (for subscribers) but hell Sniff has the gist.
Anybody who is a long time listener to the Rush Limbaugh show or listened to the show back in the Clinton era may remember this information about Rep. Owens. Rush highlighted in his show an ABC World News Tonight report in June of 1996, by Carole “Jennings” Simpson reported that 100 million slaves were thrown overboard during the slave trade. This is what Rep. Major Owens (D-NY) claimed in a speech a year earlier on the house floor, in an except he said 200 million slaves were thrown overboard and that this genocide changed the ecology of the ocean so much that the sharks still swim the slave routes! I thought OH MY GOD! You know I hear and read a whole lot of stupid shit but to hear it come out of an elected officials mouth and the dumbass said it on the house floor was nothing less than stunning. This idea was first expressed by Owens during Special Orders a year earlier 1995.
So dude had been processing this info for quite some time.
Owens insisted that 200 million slaves on their way to America had been thrown overboard during the slave trade and that this had changed the ecology of the ocean to the point that sharks still swam the old trade routes in the hope of finding more bodies to feed upon.
Rush of course found this claim of 200 million a bit absurd. The population of North America at the time was far less than 100 million, and it is hard to imagine that 200 million slaves could have been transported across the Atlantic over 200 years.

Rush’s staff ran the numbers and found that to have 100 million drowned slaves, the slave traders would have had to put out nine ships a day with 152 slaves in each ship. This would have had to continue every day for 200 years, which works out to 1,370 slaves a day and 499,977 slaves per year thrown overboard, not counting leap years.
No matter how the numbers are worked, this figure of 100 million drowned slaves would still be impossible, especially since some of these slaves had to reach the New World alive. And Owens originally claimed that the number of drowned slaves was 200 million, which means all of these numbers would have had to have been doubled.

Rush exposed the absurdity of Owens’ claim on his radio and TV show at the time, and Owens then reworked the figures down to 100 million, claiming he had gotten some “bad data.” (no he pulled it out of his ass) However, even 100 million drowned slaves is hard to imagine, but that didn’t stop ABC from reporting this as fact.

Yes ABC was as stupid as Owens was. Where the hell was Peter Jennings then!?
The population of the world at this time, though, was only 400 million, which means that the slave trade would have killed nearly a quarter of the world’s population over these 200 years.
This simply is not possible, so Rush has to wonder if he could check these numbers so easily, why couldn’t ABC?

My point to all of this is people process information all the time and come up with all kinds of bullshit to make their position re sound. Few of us actually process and challenge what we read and what we hear.
This is why we are a country of tired bullshit cliches. Major Owens trying to prove a point to forward his agenda on the supposed behalf of his constituents ended up tarnishing his reputation and permanently making him into a laughing stock.
But what is worse is that this crazy bastard is still in office!
Can you begin to comprehend how either out of touch or flat ignorant the constituents in the 11th congressional district of New York must be to have kept this idiot in office for so many years?

I looked long and hard for credible information on just how many slaves were lost. After exhaustive Google University Research I determined that……..we have no fucken idea. And what the hell difference does it make today.
Regardless of where you fall on the political spectrum, whatever information you process be sure to study BOTH sides of an argument.
I state over and over that the reason why I STUDY liberals, not only what they say but how they say it is what consistently drives me to the conclusion that liberalism is not only wacked but sociologically corrosive. To make their points liberals will do what Major Owens did and do it with a straight face hoping nobody is paying attention.
Oh you better believe Sniff is paying attention.

The potential to be enslaved and to make our tentative way to freedom is perennially within us. It’s not simply that each generation is commanded to feel as if it was personally brought forth from Egypt, but that at every moment we are presented with the opportunity to liberate ourselves

Is thinking obsolete?

sowell.gifby Thomas Sowell
Amid all the hysteria among politicians and in the media over rising gasoline prices, and all the outraged indignation about oil company profits and their executives’ high pay and lavish perks, has anybody bothered to even estimate how much effect any of this actually has on the price we pay at the pump?

If the profit per gallon of gas were reduced to zero, would that be enough to reduce the price by even a dime? If the oil company executives were to work free of charge, would that be enough to reduce the price of gasoline by even a penny a gallon?

Surely media loudmouths making millions of dollars a year and the multibillion dollar TV networks they work for can afford to get some statistics and buy a pocket calculator to do the arithmetic before spouting off nationwide.

But this is the age of emotion, not analysis.

Seized Papers Said to Show Qaeda in Iraq Is Worried

Thursday, May 11th, 2006

AQ.jpg

By THE ASSOCIATED PRESS
BAGHDAD, Iraq, May 8 (AP) — The Council of Holy Warriors, Al Qaeda’s branch in Iraq, is worried that its cells in the Baghdad area are ineffective, with one militant describing their activities as nothing more than a “daily annoyance” to the Iraqi government, according to two documents released Monday by the United States military.

The military said it had seized the documents on April 16 during raids in and around Yusifiya, a town 10 miles south of Baghdad that has long served as a base for Sunni Arab extremists. The documents indicate that the group is worried that it is unable to secure a solid base within Baghdad, military officials said.

The documents seemed to be released as part of an American campaign to deflate the image of the local branch of Al Qaeda and that of its leader, Abu Musab al-Zarqawi.

READ THE REST OF THIS NEW YORK TIMES STORY

From Rush: One of the most unreported stories in the Iraq war is that Al-Qaeda terrorists are failing militarily and in terms of winning public support among the people of Iraq. Where they’re succeeding is in promoting a carefully-thought-through western media strategy. “Their aim is clear. They want to engage in the type of operations that are attractive to the media in the hopes that the coverage of the war will drain American public support for it.” Now, I’ve waited for this. This came out on Monday, late Monday afternoon. Here we are at Wednesday. We’re almost 48 hours later. I wanted to wait to see if anywhere in the Drive-By Media the substance of this has been reported, and it hasn’t been! It won’t be. But the bottom line is, Al-Qaeda says they are losing. Their internal documents to each other, their own analysis, they are losing, and we are winning. Can you imagine that is not news fit to print in the United States of America?

Black-Republican Is Not An Oxymoron

Thursday, May 11th, 2006

In what the Washington Post calls ‘The Year of the Black Republican’, they minimally capture the story by limiting it to this year.  Not taking anything away from the three Black men in the story who are on statewide ballots and, all great candidates, but Blacks in the Republican party are not as much an anomaly as they would like to portray, especially in leadership positions .

    • J. Kenneth Blackwell, Kenneth BlackwellOhio’s secretary of state, won the nomination challenge Democrat Rep. Ted Strickland in November for Governor of Ohio.

    • In Maryland, Lt. Gov. Michael S. Steele Michael Steeleis the party’s nominee to fill the seat of retiring Democratic Sen. Paul S. Sarbanes.

    • In Pennsylvania, Lynn Swann, Lynn Swannof  Pittsburgh Steelers fame, is challenging Democratic Gov. Edward G. Rendell for that state’s top spot.

Without even looking as far as the current Republican administration, it should be obvious that Republicans focus more on the content of the character than skin color.  Instead, Democrats  focus on color as political capital, something to both pander and exploit.  What is puzzling to me is why they haven’t noticed a   paucity of blacks’, to borrow a phrase, in leadership positions in their own party?

Ignore this post………

Thursday, May 11th, 2006

As we dive further and further into the political abyss of the political election season and also looking towards the presidential campaign, liberal democrats will of course point to Iraq with the cries of “Bush lied”.Now this post is not to spark any debate or sway any point of view, but maybe I’m just a little weird (ok so I’m a lot weird), politics is not that difficult to me. However politicians and the media try to make it so difficult for the average person to understand that it clouds basic judgment and basic common sense.I remember a conversation I had with a number of women at one of my former work environments. A group of women, college educated several with multiple masters degrees were talking about the World Trade Center and all were convinced that Bush KNEW about the attack on the Towers. They went further to say that Bush allowed it so he could make the case for Iraq.I was left speechless, which is difficult for me. They paused for a moment and noticed that I was not saying anything and asked what I thought. All I said was, “even if you believe in your heart that Bush knew about the attack, process for a moment just how many other people would also have to know about the impending attack on the towers?”. For all of you writing entries and reading and commenting over and over that Bush and Bush alone is responsible for Iraq and that he lied about the WMD’s, that the war on terrorism is bogus, process all of the men and women working at all levels of government, all of the e-mails and other forms of electronic transmissions, phone calls, all down the military chain of command, secretaries, the lower ranking officers, just process the humanity behind that kind of massive deception.

I find societies growing intellectual laziness amazing. Common fucken sense is as rare as a high school graduate. We have an internet full of people perfectly willing to display freely amazing amounts intellectual absence when processing and looking at the issues that affect us today.                 This is not about whether or not you believe we should be in Iraq or not. It’s a perfectly logical argument to say that the war was wrong; we should have had a plan; the execution sucked; we should have used diplomacy longer; we should never send American troops abroad unless (we) are attacked first; we needed more troops; whatever your particular view is. But those of you who willing choose to be intellectually vacant and want to continue to process the notion that Bush and Bush alone lied and he is solely responsible for what is going on over in Iraq is simply moronic. At the very least, do your homework, understand the issue, take emotion out of it, and stop parroting arm chair political pundits who get some sort of sexual gratification out of repeating “Bush” over and over culminating in a powerful political orgasm. The quotes below are well documented, but some of you need constant reminding that the issues of Iraq and WMD’s preceded the current administration. And if this deception that many of those of you on the left insist happened at least address how those on the left were I guess to stupid to understand that they were being deceived.

Could things be better yes, but being in Iraq is necessary in my opinion. I have said before I don’t give a fuck about us not finding WMD’s. We must maintain a presence in the Middle East and Iraq was convenient.

It’s funny Iraq must have been important to these folks too back in the day:

“[W]e urge you, after consulting with Congress, and consistent with the U.S. Constitution and laws, to take necessary actions (including, if appropriate, air and missile strikes on suspect Iraqi sites) to respond effectively to the threat posed by Iraq’s refusal to end its weapons of mass destruction programs.” - From a letter signed by Joe Lieberman, Dianne Feinstein, Barbara A. Milulski, Tom Daschle, & John Kerry among others on October 9, 1998

“Iraq is not the only nation in the world to possess weapons of mass destruction, but it is the only nation with a leader who has used them against his own people.” — Tom Daschle in 1998

“As a member of the House Intelligence Committee, I am keenly aware that the proliferation of chemical and biological weapons is an issue of grave importance to all nations. Saddam Hussein has been engaged in the development of weapons of mass destruction technology which is a threat to countries in the region and he has made a mockery of the weapons inspection process.” — Nancy Pelosi, December 16, 1998

“This December will mark three years since United Nations inspectors last visited Iraq. There is no doubt that since that time, Saddam Hussein has reinvigorated his weapons programs. Reports indicate that biological, chemical and nuclear programs continue apace and may be back to pre-Gulf War status. In addition, Saddam continues to refine delivery systems and is doubtless using the cover of a licit missile program to develop longer- range missiles that will threaten the United States and our allies.” — From a December 6, 2001 letter signed by Bob Graham, Joe Lieberman, Harold Ford, & Tom Lantos among others

“English” Translation of That Letter Thingie (Letter from President of Iran)

fear.jpg
By Misty Nuckolls
So I personally think the Homies here did a damn good job of cleaning this up. Everything I keep hearing about this letter talks about its rambling, its incoherency, and its general un-interesting-to-the-general-MTV-viewing-audicence-ness.

Well, never one to pass up the opportunity to help out her fellow man, I’ve taken the liberty of translating many passages of this letter into General American Dumbass. What follows is the full letter, with my translations and notes in bold.

Enjoy.

Mr. George Bush, President of the United States of America,

For some time now I have been thinking, how one can justify the undeniable contradictions that exist in the international arena. In this letter, I discuss some of the contradictions, in the hopes that it might bring about an opportunity to redress them.

You’re a goddamned hypocrite and everybody knows it, but they’re all too scared of you to say it to your face.

Can one be a follower of Jesus Christ (Peace Be Unto Him), the great Messenger of God; feel obliged to respect human rights; present liberalism as a civilization model; announce one’s opposition to the proliferation of nuclear weapons and WMDs; make “War on Terror” his slogan; and finally, work towards the establishment of a unified international community — a community which Christ and the virtuous of the Earth will one day govern;

Dude? You call yourself a Christian? I’m a freaking Muslim, here, and even I can see you’re about as Christian as Mohammed’s jockstrap.

But at the same time, have countries attacked; destroy the lives, reputations and possessions of people on the slight chance that there are criminals in a village; or — because of the possibility of the existence of WMDs in one country — kill around one hundred thousand people, destroy its water sources, agriculture and industry; occupy a country with close to 180,000 foreign troops and thus break the sanctity of private homes of citizens and push back the country perhaps fifty years?

Yeah. You’re worse than Hitler (especially to us, wink wink, nudge nudge).

At what price? Hundreds of billions of dollars spent from the treasury of one country and certain other countries. And tens of thousands of young men and women put in harm’s way as occupation troops, taken away from family and loved ones; their hands stained with the blood of others; subjected to so much psychological pressure that everyday some commit suicide and those returning home suffer depression, become sickly and grapple with all sorts of aliments; while some are killed and their bodies handed of their families.

I don’t know if your handlers allow you to do outside reading, but there’s this concept of an “unjust war”, and its effects on those who fight it. You might want to look into it.

Thewaronterrible

Why are you bashing Conyers as a “lunatic” merely because he wants to pass something condemning past U.S. practice of enslaving the negros.
What’s so crazy about that? Didn’t the U.S. pass a similar measure condemning past treatment of the native Americans? Conyers’ main goal is to help spread recognition throughout the world that slavery is wrong.
Here’s the real truth.

You conservatives scrape and scour to find something wrong with Conyers merely because he had the guts to pursue what polls show about half of the Americans want: impeachment hearings against Bush. He is a threat to you Bushies so you must attempt to fraudulently keep him down. We see a repeat of the Swift Boat Frauds.

Further, you forward that baseless argument the Democrats have no ideas, no philosphy, without providing a morsel of support for your position.
Did you do what I had advised on the JABBS blog and look for those instantly available comprehensive explanations of Democratic proposals on ALL of the issues? Did you start with the Democratic National Committee website as I advised (www.democrats.com)
Read at least the DNC website and then come back here and see if you can still say with a straight face the Dems have no ideas. You couldn’t do it. Conservative/Republicans do not want the truth unless it conveniently supports their agenda.
You make equally baseless statements like the Dems constantly hold hearings to fine-tune their message. Republicans do the same thing with Karl Rove, etc.
Your entire argument is merely to excuse the fact that the Republican policies have been a proven failure to the overwhelming number of Americans, as the recent polls clearly show. Most polls also show that the masses would prefer the Dems in charge over the Republicas by a comfortable margin.
All I see on this website is more nieve, ignorant, desparate, almost laughable renditions of more baseless, unsupportable Republican/Conservative spin by the likes of Hannity, Rush Limbaugh, Mark Levin and similar drones. Let’s find a conservative drone that actually has solutions opposed to attacking the Dems. It is the Republicans in control of Congress I must remind you that have created all of the problems and discontent with the American people.

These crazy left wing Negros need to get off the Slavery Reparations crap. It’s a tired issue.
Now if you white folks want to throw some money a brothas way now I’ll cash that check!

 – in November wants to hold full blown congressional hearings on whether the government should pay African Americans reparations for slavery.
Michigan Rep. John Conyers has attracted attention in recent months for his House resolution calling for an impeachment investigation against President Bush.
But another Conyers cause-celeb is reparations, which he’s been advocating since 1989, when he first introduced legislation to establish what he calls, “The Commission to Study Reparations Proposals for African American Act.” ( H.R. 40)
In a press release posted to his official congressional web site, Conyers explains how he intends to handle the hot-button issue.
“My bill does four things:

• It acknowledges the fundamental injustice and inhumanity of slavery.
• It establishes a commission to study slavery, its subsequent racial and economic discrimination against freed slaves.
• It studies the impact of those forces on today’s living African Americans.
• The commission would then make recommendations to Congress on appropriate remedies to redress the harm inflicted on living African Americans.”

Conyers says:

“I chose the number of the bill, 40, as a symbol of the forty acres and a mule that the United States initially promised freed slaves. This unfulfilled promise and the serious devastation that slavery had on African-American lives has never been officially recognized by the United States Government . . . “
He goes on:
“Just as we’ve discussed the Holocaust, and Japanese interment camps, and to some extent the devastation that the colonists inflicted upon the Indians, we must talk about slavery and its continued effects.”
Though Conyers reintroduces his reparations resolution every year, would-be House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has never indicated whether she’d back the controversial proposal.

“A petty bureaucrat always watches his superior’s countenance, just as a boatman trims his sails according to the force of the wind.”

- Chinese proverb.

A retired congressman recently told me that Sacramento developer Angelo Tsakopoulos has a recurring erotic dream that sees Hillary as president, Nancy Pelosi as speaker and Phil Angelides as California governor. That is a fantasy of a rich democrat who (like George Soros) would like to make fantasy reality by throwing a lot of money at it.
For sure, the Republicans are vulnerable. They are the personification of the “gang that couldn’t shoot straight.” However, notwithstanding GOP chronic dysfunction, their greatest asset remains the ubiquitous, overwhelming, myopic dysfunction of liberal democrats.
The Washington Post says, “Democratic leaders, increasingly confident they will seize control of the House in November, are laying plans for a legislative blitz during their first week in power that would raise the minimum wage, roll back parts of the Republican prescription drug law, implement homeland security measures and reinstate lapsed budget deficit controls.”
Good luck!
