Question for Liberals.

Ok even if G-Dubs approval rating is at 5% what difference does it make?
Why do all of you liberals keep posting this shit every damm day?
Do you not comprehend that if his approval was at ZERO, that does not equate to your kind being put into office?
C’mon, some brave liberal out there can sell me on why Bush’s approval numbers matter.
People are shallow. I guarantee if gas prices were to drop drastically his approval numbers would go back up. WAY UP!
GET A CLUE!

Sniffer, I loves ya, but I think you’re dead wrong on this one. The Prez’ popularity rating matters, a lot. Here’s why:
The President’s biggest weapon on domestic policy is the bully pulpit. Remember back to Reagan (ah, fine days those were) and how he managed to roll a Dem congress over so consistently. Why? Because he could go over their heads straight to the people, and his popularity commanded respect (spelled F-E-A-R) among those marginal Dems he needed to get his policy through.
There was a fellah named named James Earl Carter (I remember you. You’re the one who made me feel so blue. It’s true. It’s you.) who appeared on TV once in a sweater to tell us stories that were not like the Gipper’s stories. We laughed. The GOP laughed. He accomplished nothing and I understand that today he’s running around the world helping leftist dictators certify elections.
The difference in their success was not policy (in the short term) nor economic circumstance; it was the abiltiy to move congressional votes by their popularity in marginal congressional districts.
The second reason plays into that, though it’s not so obvious, and that is that Presidents come and go, but Congress abideth forever. GWB is gone in 3 years, but all those congressmen he needs to pass whatever he wants to do during those years expect to outserve him. If his poll numbers are low, those congresscritters (especially but not only) in his party have little to gain by standing by his side. When that happens, his term is over. Lame duck. Head for the ranch. Go on the road and raise money for your successor.
If GWB’s poll numbers remain this low, the GOP will run from him this fall to the same extend they ran with him in 2002. They will have no incentive to help shore up his ranks, to push his progrrams.
Put it this way: a GWB with a >60% approval rating would be a force in domestic policy. A GWB with a

Ah El B, I wanted a liberal with some ballz and a little insight to say what you said.
All of them post this crap every day but it takes someone right leaning to point it out.
I comb liberal websites and I bet 50% of them I read may even have the photo with the usual comments like Bush sucks, Impeach Bush, Fire Rove shit.
All of these high brow left wing blogs regurgitate the same theme. I personally find it fascinating.
Now on G-Dubs approval ratings I totally understand what you are saying, but frankly there is not a hack of a lot that Bush could try and take to the American people that I would be jumping for joy over. The other reason why the approval numbers are meaningless is because the Democrats have NO options, none zero.
Liberal politicians and Liberal blogger are in the same boat. All they have is to bitch and cry about G-Dub. The best I could find was that sorry ass supposed plan I posted earlier.
Think about it, even with Bush’s approval numbers it is still a long shot that the Democrats can take the House and even a longer shot that they take the Senate and there is NO decent viable candidate for President. It just shows you how far the Democratic party has fallen and how out of touch they are.

“I wanted a liberal with some ballz and a little insight…”
Hahaha, snort, gurgle… ahem. Sorry, didn’t mean to wreck your fun. Good luck finding one.
As I said in the part that got cut off, mindless libs simply cheer it because they hate the guy and want to see him suffer. No more to it than that…
