YOU DON'T HEAR ABOUT IT. But Velvetta Jackson in Cabrini Green just moved north to the big city from Alabama, with her 3 kids and one of her baby daddies, Can't find a job because she had her first kid at 14, 3 kids by 18, can't afford Day care. so she goes on Welfare, This is on the 6 o'clock news, so guess what America Sees, Velvetta and her 3 kids, Not Rufus, Sally and there 3 dirty ass kids. SO IN OTHER WORDS, IT THE MEDIA THAT PUTS THE FACE ON WELFARE, NOT THE ACTUAL RECIPIENTS KINDA FUCKED UP AIN'T IT WHEN YOU THINK ABOUT IT. BE REAL, YOU DON'T LAUGH AT RUFUS, BUT YOU DO AT VELVETTA. OTOH, by your own numbers, if blacks make up 11% of the population and 40% of AFDC, then any given black is about 5x as likely to be on welfare as any given white. Throw in the CBC's opposition to welfare reform and, well, we can trace those stereotypes back to their source. But the fact is this: anyone who has a gubmint-subsidized student loan, a gubmint-guaranteed mortgage, social security, or federal unemployment benefits: you're on welfare. Anyone who takes the earned income tax credit, where you get a tax "refund" you didn't contribute, you're on welfare. Anyone who gets a dollar that gubmint has taken from another to give to you (yes, this includes McDonald's and Farmland), you're on welfare. Bastiat said, "The state is the great fiction whereby everyone tries to live at the expense of everyone else", and Americans have nearly perfected it. But those lazy negress welfare queens they don't deserve welfare, right?
